Lightroom Classic

After updating to version 14.4, photo loading has become drastically slower. I have copied my photos directly from my Nikon D5 to a file on my computer.  Try to import photos and LC doesn't see any files.  I have been doing this for years and LRC has never acted like this.

I have tried uninstalling both Lightroom Classic and photoshop 26.8.1 and reinstalling both again (PS first). The bug continues. Any ideas????

Bug Description: When using the Crop Overlay tool in Lightroom Classic, there's a visual glitch: after cropping one image and navigating to the next, activating the crop tool again shows the previous image, not the currently selected one. The bug persists even after reinstalling, resetting preferences, and testing clean catalogs. Steps to Reproduce: Open any image in the Develop module. Use the Crop Overlay tool and apply a crop. Move to the next image in the filmstrip. Click the Crop Overlay tool again. Lightroom displays the previous image in the crop overlay, not the current one. Expected Result: The crop tool should load the currently selected photo so it can be cropped normally. Actual Result: The crop overlay still shows the previous image, making cropping impossible on the new one unless you reset the view or restart Lightroom. 💻 System Information: Lightroom Classic Version: Latest (installed via Adobe Creative Cloud) Operating System: Windows 10/11

Until now I have used denoise function to enhance photos. Now it´s suddenly not working. When I click on denoise it looks like it´s enhancing the photo but afte a few seconds it stops and nothing happen. What happened? Photos are in RAW format. I use Windows. Maybe I have clicked on something and changed settings.

I am using LRC 14.4 in my Creative Cloud plan. The lens is a Sigma 70-200m f2.8 with a Sigma TC1411, mounted on a Canon 7D.  The lens/TC combo is listed in Sigma product list. Is there a simple adjustment, either on the Camera or in LRC that will help to correctly ID the lens? When I look at the image properties, I only see the Lens Model as 98-280, which is correct considering the Sigma TC1411 When I use my 70D with a Canon lens, LRC has no problem getting it correct.

Is anyone else having issues with Lightroom edits disappearing and not even reappearing when you "re-render" masks and removal tools?  I have spent not a small amount of time editing and then when I switch even between pictures, my edits disappear and require me to re-render the AI tools I've used only to have them not re-render (such as vegetation and sky masks, and spot/people removal).  I have been trying to trouble shoot on my own and to date have tried the following:Checked to be sure I have the latest Lightroom Classic versionChecked the integrity of my catalogue (all good)Checked to be sure I was editing the Original vs. Smart Preview Checked GPU settingsCHecked Memory PressureDid some Cache Management - purging the cacheDid a resest of Lightroom PreferencesCHecked to be sure my Mac was up to date on all of its system settings.Nothing has worked and its extremly frustrating.  I don't have time to constantly edit and re-edit my pictures.  Is anyone else h

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my Lightroom Classic (version 14.4) catalog and was hoping someone might be able to help or has experienced something similar. My catalog contains photos from several cameras. In the past, I processed some RAW files from my Olympus OM-D EM-5 using the Develop module. However, when I revisited those images yesterday in the Library module, they appeared completely flat—like unedited RAW files. All previous Develop settings, including the selected profile, seem to be missing. For context, the RAW files are stored on a network drive (NAS). I’m wondering if this might be part of the problem. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a way to recover or restore the lost Develop settings? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

Hello, someone can help me to solve the following problem? I am trying to recover a LRC catalogue from the backup.When I try to open the backupo, a warning appears: UNABLE TO USE THE CATALOGUE NAMED XXX BECAUSE IT IS A LETTER-ONLY FILE AND CANNOT BE OPENED. As a cause of that it says: WRONG AUTHORIZATION What does it mean?What shall I do to open a back-up copy of a catalogue? Thank you if someone can help me Ciao for ItalyUgo 

Description: I have a substantial 31,000-photo collection in Adobe Lightroom Classic 14.4, running on an Apple MacMini M4 Pro with 48GB of RAM. My photos are stored on an external 10TB RAID 01 and the Lightroom Classic Catalog is stored on a Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 2TB. I’m interested in culling this collection using my iPhone and a Chrome tablet, but I’m unsure about the best approach.Culling a collection on mobile devices is valuable to me because it frees me and allow me to work away from my mac mini. My understanding is that I need to upload all the photos to Creative Cloud to accomplish this. However, I believe this is overkill since I only require a lightweight preview for culling, not the full-resolution photos. Is there a way to transfer previews to the cloud so that I can cull using various devices and then sync the metadata back to the Adobe Lightroom Classic catalog running on my MacMini? Alternatively, could I create a Lightroom Classic catalog of compressed previews

After updating to Lightroom Classic 14.4, I opened my working catalog and discovered that edits to many JPEG files had disappeared. Here's what I experienced: The History panel still shows all my previous adjustments But the Develop sliders are all reset, and the image preview is unedited This only affected JPEGs, not RAW files My catalog had been functioning perfectly before the update I confirmed this is a 14.4 issue by: Opening a backup catalog in 14.3.1 — all edits displayed correctly Returning to the most recent catalog (used in 14.4), the edits were still invisible Even importing metadata into the edited files didn’t fully restore them in the 14.4 catalog This is extremely disruptive. Hi, Lightroom is deleting my 1:1 previews after a few days even though I have preferences set to keep them for 30 days.  Any ideas or fixes?  Maybe a cache limit? ThanksJohn

I would like to report a problem/bug in the new update, Lightroom Classic version 14.4. I am experiencing frequent freezes in the Develop module when I press the “next photo” key. This issue occurs when I copy settings from one image and then quickly paste them to the next image using keyboard shortcuts in rapid succession. I noticed that this problem started after installing the latest update.

Hi,I am using LightRoom classic on iMac and now days, it's very slow. EVen i restart my system, don't help.I saw, memory uses is 5.16GB and my cache preview is only 12GB. What making my lightRoom slow. Processor: 3.8 Ghz 8-Core Intel Core i7Graphics: AMD Raden Pro 5500XT 8 GBHDD available space: 133 GBRAM: 16 GB. This is affecting my client's delivery and appricate any one point out the issue.Thannk you in advance!! 

Using LR Classic 14.4 on Windows 10 I can no longer select images with specific ratings Eg 3 star although if I use Filter rated it will select all rated images.

I have LR 6.8 standalone on a Windows 10 64 bit computer. The Minimize, Restore Down/Maximum and Close Button buttons on the upper right of the program do not show.  I have to go to the task bar to minimize or close the program.  Also, I have two monitors and I cannot drag it from monitor 1 to monitor 2.  I have uninstalled LR and reinstalled it which didn't fix the problem These buttons are standard buttons for all window programs, they work for all of my other programs.  I had this problem with an earlier update. They mysteriously came back.  Every update since then I have had the same problem as the one I'm having now. This is what is missing Thank you,John Baesemann

dear community, i am a long time user of lightroom, since its enception and photoshop user. however i have been using a 3060ti with 0 issues for about two years, i have been able to export while applying settings to the next batch of images including ai with 0 issues, using a 14700k and nvidia studio drivers. i recently updated to a 5060 ti 16gb and there are several issues. 1 in prefs it says full acceleration is not recognised, i so i manually select it.2 when exporting as above and trying to multi task, either the batch apply settings stops or and the export stops using the graphics card for exports as i have been doing previously. ive tested the graphics card, with studio and game drivers in games and other tests zero issues but in lightroom classic, its very odd and wont do it in theory the card is 40% faster than the 3060ti but Im not getting that from use.  so question is either its an nvidia driver issue or adobe have not updated lightroom classic to fu

I've been making printer profiles for years using iMatch, and have had no problems with LR Classic until now. At the moment when I create a template and go to choose a profile to put in it, I either get 'managed by printer' or one or two old profiles even of different printers. After many hours of playing about (including trashing Prefs) the only way I can get the correct profile (from the sys32/spool/drivers/color windows folder) to register in LR is to edit the printer template (in the LR Settings folder) manually and delete the autoincluded profile and substitute the new one, saving the altered template. That seems to work and LR shows the new profile after closing and reopening. The one thing I must NOT do is to click on OTHER in the LR profiles list - that just locks LR solid, and the only way out is to use Task Manager to exit LR, reboot and start again!! I'm not the only one to find this - I read another post where clicking on Other did the same thing. So what is the proble

My Smart Previews are not loading when I open a folder in which my originals are stored in an external hard drive that is off-line. In each of two folders I've opened, a handful of Previews load, but that's it.I appreciate any help you can offer.David

Hi folks need some help. My Lightroom Classic on Windows 10 is not opening since it updated to V14.4. It sticks at the opening "reading preferences" screen. I've done the usual shutdown reboot etc. The online suggestion is to reset Lightroom preferences using the Shift + Option (macOS) or Shift + Alt (Windows) keys. My questions is   - Does a reset delete all my personal custom Develop and Print setups? Thanks
