Lightroom Classic

Normally, you can apply Transform > Auto to a batch of photos by syncing/copying with just the Upright Mode checked.  The Auto transform settings will be recomputed for each target photo.   But if you accidentally sync/copy Auto mode to target photos with both Upright Mode and Upright Transforms checked, Auto won't be recomputed on the target photos, and they'll display the Update button in the Transform panel.  This is as-designed.   If you try to correct the mistake by copying Auto mode again but with just Upright Mode selected, then Auto won't be recomputed on the target photos, and you'll have to click Update on them one by one.  This is incorrect. The photos have become "poisoned", and no use of Sync, Auto Sync, or presets will compute Auto automatically on the entire batch -- you'll have to click Update on each photo individually.  Too bad if there are hundreds of poisoned photos.   I've discovered just one way to clear the poisoned

Hi all, I think this might be a variations of syncing related questions, but one for which we haven't really found any solution yet.Now I'm not stating that I even understand why there is "Lightroom" and "Lightroom Classic" or if "Lightroom CC" is any of these, in all honesty this always confused me, however now I'm looking for a solution to a problem that I imagine should be fairly straightforward:- we have two PCs. One desktop where we do all the editing and a laptop where we do lighter things (like culling and rating the photos, but something also do editing when the desktop is not free etc)- both desktop has Lightroom Classic installed. The desktop currently has 9.2.1 the laptop 9.3 Now, we would like to be able to rate the pictures on the laptop and simply sync the stars to the desktop so we can edit them based on the ratings. For now nothing else.  So no, we don't want to sync to mobile nor between Lightroom Classic and any other misterious variations of Light

Long story, but I have lost about 5 years of extra information in custom fields, also backup. Hi everyone,I have a catalogue of around 200k photos.I am in the process of changing the names of the photos following a unified naming scheme that I have decided. To perform this operation, in LrC, I first force a save of all metadata of the existing photos. To generate the xmp files for all of them. Then I am using a script calling exiftool to put the new name into a specific metadata. Then, in LrC, I need to bulk read the metadata for all the photos of a certain event. Then, again from LrC, using the rename function I can transfer the name I want from the metadata to the filename. This process works just fine. However, after a while, I discover that all the pictures I didn't modified, after the metadata read, have a new step in their history named "Reset settings" and this step includes an unexpected profile change from let say "Camera Neutral" to "Adobe Color", and as consequence also the color changed accordingly. Photos with some kind of existing modifications, suc

Hi all, I have a photo appearing under the catalog: "Already in Catalog". I confirmed that there is only one version of the photo in my Lightroom Classic library. Indeed, I select 'show in finder' and it is the same image file. Thoughts on how to remove from the "Already in Catalog"? Thanks!

LRC import from camera works great.  I understand the frustration if I want to add just one picture.  However there is no real filtering. I would like sections that can be grouped by  Date - only display a shoot from a certain day ( as opposed to all shoots on the camera card)  Folder  - multiple shoots are stored on the camera in named folders  type- filter by file type within each section This would help me search may camera card for different shoots.  I cant then import directly into folders/albums instead of moving them later  Currently I work this process through the OS filesystem. I can veiw and edit the folders in the camera  in the OS filesystem.  I have to copy each folder to it's album location and resync the folder in LRC.  

How do I reimport or relink a photo where LR says it is already in the catalog. In this case I renamed the photo from LR on the source drive. I assumed that renaming it would allow me to reimport it. I know I have asked this before but I cannot locate the answer. Jim

Hi everyone,I’ve encountered a recurring issue in Lightroom Classic and wanted to check if others have seen this too — or if Adobe might be aware of it.Issue: When entering Survey view (N) in the Library module to compare multiple photos, the most recently edited photo (in the Develop module) is displayed blurry, while other photos appear sharp as expected.This seems to be a rendering issue that only resolves itself if I either:- deselect and reselect the image multiple times, or- completely restart Lightroom Classic. After restarting, the photo appears sharp as it should, even without changing any settings. Steps to reproduce:1. Edit a photo in the Develop module.2. Switch back to the Library module.3. Select the just-edited photo and a few others.4. Press “N” for Survey view.5. Observe that the most recently edited photo appears blurry. Expected behavior: All selected images should appear sharp, regardless of recent edits. System info:Lightroom Classic 14.4 on Win

I am running LR Classic 14.3 now but this problem was happening with the previous version too.  A few months ago I started experiencing these problems.  While importing photos to my Synology NAS, LR Classic will stop importing and some of the files become corrupted.  The Mac reports "server connections interupted" and Lightrooom importing stalls.  Sometimes I have to  Force Quit LR.  I then have to reconnect the NAS and restart the import process over again only for this to recur after some more files are imported. This happens with different card readers, different ethernet cables, different ethernet switches, WiFi connectivity, two different LR catalogs, 3 different camera files, and with two different Synology NAS units.  It never happens while editting photos.  The Mac OS was updated at least once, LR was updated at least once, and the NAS OS was updated once.  It takes me 4 to 5 trys to get a card uploaded into my library.  Help! &

Problem in Lighroom Classic, when importing images from camera. After importing program  stops showing file name, capture time, flags and thumbnail badges in grid view.  Rotation arrows and index number are visible.  Loupe view does not either show any information. Program cannot show any keyword tags. Tag box shows only text ”working…”. This happens to all images in catalog, not only the imported ones. Develop works normally.  Only way to get them back is closing and starting the program again. I wonder, is my catalog too big, because there is 167000 images.The problem has been about 2-3 months. Although followed all the steps as stated: "To watermark images within the Book module in Lightroom Classic, you'll need to create a watermark in the Watermark Editor and then enable it within the Book module's page setup. First, create the watermark (text or graphic) in the Watermark Editor, then in the Book module, go to Page Setup and activate the watermark option"

Hello,I'm using LrC ( 14.3.1) and DXO PureRaw 4 and 5 (trial) on my intel based MacBook Pro.I can bring pictures into PR by clicking on Files - Plug-in-Extras - PureRawbut no more by right-mouse click to the image and choose export - PureRaw.I've uninstalled and reinstalled DXO PureRAW several times without any better result.I also asked a few colleagues and they can do it by right click- export without any problems.the plug-ins of PureRaw are properly installed into ...Adobe/Lightroom/modulesthe support of DXO has no idea what could be wrong.does anyone have an idea what I could try next or does anyone have the same problem ?best regards Robert 

Good evening, I'm reaching out for help with an issue I’ve encountered in Lightroom that I haven't been able to resolve. I've been using Lightroom since 2012, and I store all my photos and catalog on my NAS. I’ve always used Lightroom from my MacBook Pro, without any problems. My photos have always been well-organized in chronological order, as you can see under (Cvnas1\data).   The issue began two months ago when I purchased a new computer running Windows. I mapped the NAS drive as \V:.   As soon as I started adding new photos, along with some older ones that hadn’t yet been organized, Lightroom began creating a second photo location—even though all the files are physically within the same root folder. I tried moving the old folders into the new list (top section), but Lightroom tells me it’s not possible because a folder with the same name already exists at that location. How can I consolidate everything into a single, unified folder structure as I had before? Any ideas or

I recently removed some old apps and files and catalogues, such as old versions of LRClassic and PS on my Mac. I can edit my pics in my LRClassic catalogue, but my LRClassic can no longer open Canon's CR3 pics, though PS can. Can I reinstall LRClassic without damaging my cataogues?   {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum and Title edited by Moderator} 

I have 25 pictures on my card, but I only have time to edit 10 of them. I highlight my images, click the box in the upper left corner, go to the bottom right, and import. I  see / edit those 10 and then go back to the Library to see the remaining 15 images, but they're not seen. I looked but can't find them. Do I remove/ reinsert my card?   Would appreciate any suggestions, TY.

Someone please tell me they know an easy fix for this. Every time I'm trying to apply Lens Blur in lightroom, I get a horirble halo effect around the subject. I'm able to fine tune this with a brush but it's so tedious and takes far too long. Does anyone know why this is happening and if there's an easy solution? 

In the last few photo imports to my Lightroom catalog, I've noticed that every few photos, a grayed-out file appears in the grid view. These files don’t correspond to any actual images—they don’t show up in Finder, and they aren’t recognized as missing by Lightroom. It's as if Lightroom is generating placeholder files with no data.  When I try to interact with these files (delete, edit, locate, etc.), nothing happens. Lightroom doesn’t respond to any commands related to them. The real issue comes up during the culling process: if any of these gray files are selected when I attempt to delete unflagged/rejected images, Lightroom throws an error and prevents the operation. I’m forced to manually deselect each gray file before I can proceed.  Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a known fix or workaround to remove these phantom files and prevent them from showing up in future imports?

Hi all. I'm working in the Book module, and when I'm in multipage view, all the pages appear blank, but when I'm in spread or single page view, I can see all the pages I've created. This is happening across two particular photo books, and for what it's worth, in the filmstrip, I have filters off. I have been messing with these two books in the works a little, but I can't figure out what in the world I did to cause this. Half panic is setting in. Thank you!

I bought two Z8s, 4 months apart.  I've uploaded about 4000 photos from body #1 into LRC.  It is my understanding, if I have the exact same file naming system in my two Z8s, that a photo from the 2nd body could overwrite the original file from my first body, which I do not want.  On my 2nd body, I renamed the file from _DSC. to _Z82 and it is saved.  However, when uplading to LRC it is using the DSC file name, not Z82.     Is there a LRC link or does someone here know how to standardize uploading from my 2nd body with its own file naming convention?  I'm afraid I won't remember to enter a new file name each time I upload.  Thank you. I use a mac with the 2nd to most recent update.

Liebe Community   Ich nutze diverse LR Presets von diversen Anbietern.  Die Besten daraus habe ich jeweils durch Drücken der rechten Maustatste "zu Favoriten hinzufügen"  eben zu den Favoriten hinzugefügt. So erscheint auch in der Palette der Presets oben ein Menu "Favoriten".   In den regulären Ordnern des Presets Anbieters, hat das jeweilige Preset dann ein Sternchen hinter dem Namen. Als Zeichen, dass es im Favoriten Ordner hinterlegt ist.   Soweit so gut. Bis vor dem letzten Update sind und waren diese Favoriten immer da. Nach dem Update fehlte der Ordner plötzlich und alle der Presets die im Favoriten Ordner waren, sind verschwunden. Auch waren sie nicht mehr mit Sternchen markiert. So als hätte man sie nie zu den Favoriten hinzugefügt.   Also vorgestern nochmal in mühevoller Arbeit sämtliche Presets durchgegangen und diese erneut zu den Favoriten hinzugefügt.  Und was passiert heute? Wieder ist der Ordner weg und keine Favoriten vorhanden. &nbsp

Hello. It would be great to add in masking (in Lr, Ps and Acr) the vibrance slider. It is more usufel than Saturation. Also many cameras now have amazing Dynamic Range and it would be very good the option to add more brightness in the exposure and in Highlights, shadows. Many time we have to use the same masking just to add them.Best regards.

Hello, I have had this persistent problem for over a year now with no solution from Adobe Support! Here is my problem. I am running Windows 11 on an Intel i7 -processor on a Dell Desktop computer, with 32 mb of memory onboard.  I am running  an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card & All drivers are up to date. Adobe Lightroom Classic continues to crash (Greyed out screen) when I attempt to run it (It opens then the grey screen appears). I then need to go into Task Manager and close the program. PLEASE ADOBE HELP ME!!!!!

No sé si será alguna configuración. Antes en la anterior versión de quitar ruido con ia, que se convertía el archivo en DNG si que funcionaba
