Lightroom Classic

LRC: Version 14.2OS: Sequoia 15.3.2Mac M2 Max w/32BG Stupidly, I reorganized my photo library outside of LR.  I am trying to rectify this by re-importing pictures while in LRC so I can access them through LRC.  There seems to be a disconnect between my Source window and my Destination window.  Here's a screenshot of the library folder structure as it appears natively in the Library module...Clearly, no "Places" folder.   Trying to import images from the same hard drive into LRC called "Places" which does NOT appear in the above screen shot.  So I click on the import buutton and here's a screenshot of the source drive... which looks correct... including the "Places" folder. So, I try to create a "Places" folder in the destination window and I get the prompt "The folder 'Places' already exists."  and heres a screen shot of the Destination window... with "Places" already in there.All images are on one source drive... 101Photo. My question

I have had this problem across two devices, with two different GPUs and versions of windows now. My screen flickers and flashes black for small periods of time when I move my mouse and make edits, sometimes just moving my mouse causes the flicker and it nearly gives me migraines after hours of use.I have tried all GPU related changes on the forums and reinstalled LR multiple times and still get this flashing and flickering, its unbearble and ruins my workflow. All my GPU drivers are studio and updated and it still flickers with an empty cache and gpu turned off in preferences. Help!

I'm getting two different error messages when I try to use Lightroom's Enhance tool to AI Denoise my images. I've used this for hundreds of photos and it's never been an issue before, but I am now getting messages about "unsupported hardware" and incompatibility with the photo format (I'm editing CR2s and CR3s). I've attached screenshots of both messages and of my hardware information.

Has anyone else lost the ability to sync with WIX Pro Galleries?

For a LrC plugin I'd like to implement an "Update available" check. The plugin is located on Github, releases are labeled (e.g. "v2.4.960", which is identical to the major.minor.revison version number in Info.lua). The latest version can be accessed through https://github.com/capricorn8/Focus-Points/releases/latest.When accessing the latest version, "latest" is resolved to "tag/v2.4.960". So, the most convenient way to implement an "Update available" check would be if there was a Lua function that takes "latest" URL as input and returns "tag/v2.4.960" as a result. The LrHttp functions do not seem to offer a solution for this. Using LrHttp, I could use LrHttp.get() and parse the lengthy response to (hopefully) catch the right piece of information. Not really convincing. Does anyone know of a way to do this inside Lua? Right now, to me it seems that the best options is an external call to "curl.exe" which should work on both WIN and MAC platforms.

Good morning everyone, today I activated Lightroom and created the first album that I'm already working on. However, I realized that the album was put on the cloud while I would like it locally in a specific path but I can't move or copy the album locally to continue working on it in this mode. Can anyone help me? Thanks everyone for your attention.

I'm just starting to use facial recognition. When I run it on a large group of photos, it doesn't stack the images. I identify people and select Find Similar Faces and it also doesn't work. I think I'm not doing something right, but not sure what it is. I'm wondering if it is an issue with indexing. Thoughts?I'm running Mac Ventura 13.7.4.ThanksDavid

Hello,I´ve been using Lightroom for a while but got Lightroom Classic just right now and I am struggling with the way it handles storing the images. Every time I create a copy when I am editing an image with Dehancer it creates a local copy which is not being uploaded to the cloud. I need to add the copies manually to the cloud.This is a very annoying workflow. How can I solve this?Best regards!

Hi,10 years ago when HDs were fairly expensive and I was poor.  I scanned all my film at a medium resolution and imported 35,000+ images into LRC and processed those images. Since then I have rescanned all 35K+ of my images at Hi-Res.  Now my challenge is to get them into LR in place of the medium-res images, so that the editing that was done to the medium-res images is now applied to the High-res files. I thought if I named the Hi-Res files the same name as the Mid-Res files and copied them into the folder replacing the lower res files and when LRC was started that it would pickup the size difference in the files, but it does not appear to do this.   Does anyone have any guidance? LRC 14.2Win 11 Pro 64

I'm having an issue with synch settings all of a sudden.  Making changes in one file, I should be able to select another file and click the 'sync settings' to get the other files to have the same settings.  As of today, doing so does not export those settings to the other selected file(s).    The adjustment icons appear on the selected files, but when you look at the images in 'Develop' there have in fact been no synced changes.  I've tried updating my MacOS  (10.13) and my Lightroom (2015.12).  I've even reset my preferences, all to no use.  Thanks ahead of time for help.

I'm on version 13-4 and CC will not allow me to install the latest version.   Lightroom Classic just hangs when trying to import images from my SD card It gets stuck with the progress bar "Copy and import photos" at zero progress and just hangs forever. I have plenty of space on my hard drive and this even happens when just importing one image. I'm trying to import to a disk drive (that works fine) and the disk drive never even spins up. I notice that during import there is a crash handler under my lightroom classic process in the task manager. Since the last upgrade of Lightroom Classic with AI enhancements, all of my target photos do not match the colors and tints of my source photos. I think the AI might be taking over and doing things I don't want to do. I prefer not to use AI other than on occasion when I use AI denoise.

EvEvEvery time I close LRC this happens. It began after the last update of the app. How can I fix it?

Background:Photographers outsource their editing in LR classic to me. They provide me with a catalog and smart previews, but not the raw files. I install the catalog and smart previews on my mac and edit the photos. When editing, I also use the new mask feature / select subject / invert / to make edits to the background only. Steps to reproduce the problem:With a photographer I just started working for I have the following problem: When she opens the catalog with my edits, she needs to recalculate each mask, photo by photo. The mask itself shows an exclamation mark, when she clicks on that it says: subject 1 needs to be recomputed (see screenshot). If she does not do that, the masks with edits are not applied when exporting to jpg. This happened in 4 different catalogs. Versions:I work on a Mac with Catalina version 10.15.7 and LR 11.4 She works on a PC with Windows 10 and LR 11.4 Expected result:Masks with edits should work directly after opening the catalog. Hello I just bought a Sony A7R IV and when importing photos into Lightroom, I noticed they are underexposed. 1 or at least 2 stops. Correcting them means I am adding grain/noise to the photo so that is annoying.This did not happen with my previous camera A7R II I only shoot RAW, I have no colour profiles set up on the camera (all standard), no profiles on LR when importing, LCD screen brightness is fine (i.e. changing will not make a difference), Monitors fully calibrated (one is ASUS ProArt), and no other tweaks or settings on either side (Camera or LR). I tried importing with Adobe standard and Camera Standard profiles but no changes eitherThe difference is huge. The histograms are different. Better on the camera (brighter).  Also, it all happens when the import is finished. When importing the preview during the ongoing process looks like it will be ok, but when finishing the last bit to complete the import, LR does apply or does something to the photos that

Hallo Zusammen, mein alter Computer geht leider nicht mehr, jetzt habe ich Lightroom auf den neuen Installiert, nur leider sind meine ganzen Presets weg. Weiß jemand warum und wie ich die wieder bekomme? 

Hope sombody can hel me as I get the error message "Lightroom Classici Mac cannot move a file in the destination folder" when I try to import automatically an image. The file has all the permissions. Hope can help the attached files

Firstly, Windows 11 and the latest Lightroom Classic updates install.I have a folder in Lightroom entitled Favourites. Lightroom says there are 2,449 images in this folder. When I view the same folder from Explorer, it says there are 2,514 images which I am assuming would mean I have deleted some images from the Lightroom Folder that in error, I said delete from Lightroom at some point rather than Delete from disk. Fair assumption?Now the real issue...if I go into Lightroom and try to Import images and I select the Favourites folder, over 200,000 images are listed for import. Why would those files appear on the Import screen but not show when I view the same folder via Explorer?Furthermore, when I select the Import screen in Lightroom and choose the same Favourites folder, and select an image file that Lightroom wants to import...that same file when searched via Explorer and the Favourites folder, doesn't exist. Why therefore is it visible only through Lightroom Import and no where els

Dear Sir I am getting in lightroom classic ...lensblur.It says something went wrong.Why? 

I'm thinking that LR Classic has not been updated to accept Nikon Z50 II files...am I right?  Presently I'm getting "Preview unavailable for this file."  I got the same files in my Ipad LR app yesterday no problem!
