Lightroom Classic

Hello. I connect the camera and PC with Tether ToolsWe're filming by receiving camera data to the light room through 'Connected Transmitted Shooting'.I want to fix (apply) the overlay crop value I set in advance to all the photos I take, what should I do? (Additional Explanation)The pre-modification results include ceilings and walls, so I'm making the final results after cutting the picture with an overlay. Currently, the value I set (overlay crop) is not fixed, and I have to do it again every time I shoot.

This has been happening repeatedly in previous versions and hasn't been fixed in LR 6.5 (standalone).  Steps1.  Select some slides.  I'm using a filter to select slides that are 4 stars or higher.  There are 16 of them in the folder that match.2. Go to slidshow and hit "play"3.  The dialog box comes up "Preparing Slideshow" and below Preparing preview for slide #2.  It mostly hangs on # 2 but sometimes a different slide.  If I cancel and choose a different folder with no filters (all images) and hit "play" it hangs on # 2 again.4.  BTW...if I hit the -> buttone (play) below the images, instead of the "Play" button in the right hand lower corner, it'll play.5.  Also, based on some other input, I've tried turning off/on the GPU. No difference.

When I try to create a virtual copy on Lr Classic 14.2 (Command ') it just says it will sync the image to LR when syncing is enabled.  Doesn't create a virtual copy.  And if I go to the menu the function is greyed out.  What is happening?  I need to be able to create virtual copies.   Help appreciated - thank you

I've been using Lightroom Classic for more than 12 years. I've got a big workstation with lots of CPU and GPU. Lightroom Classic worked great last year on this computer. Now it takes approximately 0.7 seconds to change photos in Library mode. I narrowed it down to the fact that my monitor is in 4k resolution. If I drag Lightroom to my second monitor (1440p resolution) the image switching performance is back to normal. If I lower the resolution of my 4k display to 1440p or lower, the performance is back to normal. This computer used to run Lightroom normally on this same display with all the same settings (same preview size, image import settings, etc). This is a performance regression and it makes Lightroom essentially unusable for my workflow culling and managing a lot of images from my shoots.   I'm on windows 11 23H2. Hello! I want to switch from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom. I have all my raw files stored on hard drives. Then because I have Lightroom classic, I now have a huge amount of smart previews stored in the cloud. I want to be able to delete all these smart previews from the cloud, or basicly start form scratch. And then manually choose which raw files I want to backup to the clouds using the cloud version of Lightroom. Is there an easy way to do this?

I have a problem with the keywording. Sometimes all keywords already given to pictures are not anymore displayed in the keyword input field and no new keywords can be entered. After shotdown of LrC and restarting again all information are available and keywords can be entered. The phanomina appears not in every session. I have used syncing of spot removal in the past to deal with a damaged sensor but I just tried it and spot removal is no longer showing in the sync panel. It is also missing from the develop presets panel. 

I'm using the latest version of Lightroom Classic and up-to-date Windows 11 Business (23H2), with all drivers up to date and 40GB of RAM. Despite this, Lightroom has become completely unusable after the last few updates.   The program crashes every single time it tries to detect something, such as when detecting skies or people. This happens even when I simply hover over filters or use the masking tool, making it impossible to work with.   I've submitted countless crash reports, including my email address, but I've received no response from Adobe. This is extremely frustrating, especially for a paid product that I rely on for my work. I've attached both the crash report and system report as text files to this post.    Regards

If I apply my preset to an image and fine tune and then go to sync - it completely stalls my software and I have to force it to close. Any idea on how to resolve the issue?

I just set up my SurfacePro 11 with the latest versions of Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. Everything installed fine and seemed to be working, until I found that I could not edit in PS from LR Classic. I uninstalled both, then re-installed PS again keeping preferences and then reinstalled LR Classic keeping preferences. The option for editing in PS is stil greyed out, and when I look in preferences in LR Classic to add an external editor, I do not see Photoshop, nor can I manually add it (as far as I can tell).  I have installed PS version 26; LR version 14.0.1 -- these were the most up to date from Creative Cloud.   My question - is this a bug in the new updates, or is there something I need to do, or is this related to the ongoing issues of LR not really working all that well with the new ARM Snapdragon processor? Trying to export images to HDR JPEG XL, but most of them are getting woldy inaccurate color profiles and metadata applied.   LR should export with the "Rec. ITU-R BT.2100 PQ" HDR color space, but these images are getting a color space of "QuickTime 'nclc' Video (9,1,2)". Have never seen this color profile before. Attempting to re-export the images will not resolve the issue. Issue: Graphics glitches whilst using LR in develop and library whilst Full Graphics Acceleration is enabled.Step 1 Goto Performance > Enable 'Use GPU for image processing (Process version 5 or higher)'.Step 2 Navigate the Library and start editing pictures and graphics glitches begin to apppear. Expected result: No graphics glitchesActual result: Glitches appear within the edited file but also randomly in various elements of the LR interface, sometimes even in the menu bar of the OS. I’m coming back to the Adobe Photography Program after a couple of years using Capture One. As I recall, there were some minor differences between the Panorama options between LrC and Lr (Spherical, Cylindrical and Perspective).  Namely Perspective didn’t always work well on Lr.  True? I’m trying to decide which version of Lightroom to go with.

Hi, a bit new to LRC though having used Photoshop since v. 3.0, I find LRC astonishly cumbersome for making lens corrections universally. So, I wanted to have my camera-lens system settings to work automatically with every new Nikon NEF file moved to an appropriate folder. Sure, there was no straightforward solution. By one approach, I only found a way to make the settings to the photo on the screen. Therefore, I needed to make a search in Internet, and I found that there are _a way to many steps_ that I would like to use LRC for anything else than sorting my project's 700 pictures. How come can LR be so important photo app, as it is like MS's PowerPoint some 30 yrs ago??? In that program, there was no intuition at all to make it work. You just needed to remember all its steps by heart. LRC is similar. Regards, Tuomas

Hi, Last week an adobe tech was trying to fix an unrelated problem and uninstalled and reinstalled LRC. I fixed the problem however in reinstalling LRC I see that all of my external programs: Photoshop, NiK, Evoto, Topaz etc are not listed under Edit in. On my Mac Mini M1, using LrC 14.2 under Sequoia 15.3.2, I import NEF files from my Nikon's memory card via a card reader attached to a USB port on my Mac. I have LrC put them into a folder named with the photo's creation date ("YYYY-MM-DD" format) within my year folder ("YYYY" format) within my Lightroom Photos folder on an external drive. After copying them to that newly created folder, Lightroom converts the original NEFs to DNGs, discarding the NEFs. My first editing step in Library is to rename that new folder, adding descriptive info to the date starting the filename. I then do my edits in Develop on what seem to be normal, high resolution files, then return to Library, and select some photos to save as JPGs for online posting. On giving the command to export the JPGs, Lightroom gives a message to the effect that it cannot locate original files, asking whether I still wish to proceed with Smart Previews if available. Ich möchte Lightroom 6.0 auf meinem Windows 10 PC nach erneut installieren. Die Installationsdatei sowie den Registierungscode habe ich noch, bzw. Lightroom 6 in meinem Adobe-Konto ist das auch registriert. Auf dem selben System war es bereits installiert. Bei der Installation erscheint nun jedoch die folgende Meldung:"Browser aktualisieren Um Adobe-Dienste nutzen zu können, aktualisieren Sie bitte Ihre Adobe-Anwendungen, Ihr Betriebssystem und Ihren Browser auf die jeweils neuesten Versionen" Es ist jedoch alles aktuell. Von Adobe gibt es auch eine Seite zu dieser Fehlermeldung; die Ratschläge dort habe ich ohne Erfolg umgesetzt. Ich habe es dann Testweise auch meinem Windows 11-PC probiert, bei dem ein ganz aktuelles System aufgesetzt ist. Auch dort erhalt ich die Fehlermeldung. Woran kann das liegen bzw. wie kann ich den Fehler beheben?
