When I open Lightroom CC, the only modes that appear in the top line are Library and Develop (see screenshot). So, how can I access the Print mode?
A sudden glitch in my Lightroom Classic v 14.2. When I create a new mask, of whatever type - sky, subject, gradient etc. -the basic panel for exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows etc. - is no longer available. I can only see tone, color, effects etc. The main basic panel for global use is available below the above-mentioned masking panels. See screenshot attachedHow can I get the masking basic panel back?
Help needed! When trying to free up space on my computer I deleted temporary files and unused apps. After I did that, the option to click edits photos in Photoshop from the develop module in Lightroom is now greyed out. I have tried all the suggestions I could find. Uninstalled and reinstalled both multiple times, restarted computer, made sure the photos were not missing etc. does anyone have any advice on how to fix this issue? On my laptop I have added Smart Previews to all the photos from previous years and removed the originals. They are on a larger external hard drive. This is to save space. This has worked perfectly for years. Now the actual picture does not show up. I can still see the score I gave it, and the collection it is in, and I see all the metadata and if corrections were applied. When I click on it, it says "The folder could not be found." I read JohanElzenga's post and I removed the Catalog Previews folder, but the pictures did not rebuild. If I click on an individual photo in Smart Previews I can see the picture. It just seems Lightroom does not know where the Smart Preview folder is.
I store my photos on an external drive (D). When I import, I select the the 2025 folder in the D drive as the destination, but the photos are still imported to the C drive. What am I doing wrong?
Platform: Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 on Windows 11 Pro on a high-powered desktop PC I upgraded to Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 and am now unable to synchronize any folder. If I right click on a folder and click on synchronize, Lightroom hangs and nothing happens. No error message; the folder just never synchronizes no matter if you give it hours and there are only a few images to import. I have tried resetting my preferences, closing Lightroom, rebooting my PC and restarting Lightroom and same thing. I tried going back to 14.0.0 and had the same issue. The photos have not loaded into any other folder so that Lightroom thinks they are already there. I have never had this issue in the past. I saw that this is a known issue and that this was how you were supposed to fix it, but I can’t make it work as I don’t understand the directions:“In the My Photos area in the left pane, select the All Photos album.Switch to the Sq
When I open lightroom I can only see folders from 2025. The older folders and photos are still there (ie visible on Explorer) and also there on the backups, but I can't find a way to get Lightroom to display the folders on the pc's hard drive (D:). Lightroom displays the folders of the backup hard drive. I have tried to produce a new catalogue but I am now afraid I may have done more harm than good as one of the backups is now only showing part of its content. I tried to find all missing files and it produced a list of 80,000 or so but these were just in a single slab without folders so that's not super useful. I don't know what to try next - any guidance please. Windows 11 with latest updates on LR.
If I am in the mask module and have used Ctrl-Shift (Windows) plus dragging the mouse right or left to zoom in and out, and I've zoomed in and want to revert to full screen (equivalent to Ctrl + 0 in PS) - how can I do that? If someone knows a link where all the zoom adn screen commands in various modules (mainly Develop and Mask) are listed that'd be helpful. Thank you.
Using Adobe Lightroom Classic on Windows 11 when importing a specific folder with its sub folders the import function includes folders NOT in the selected folder. What causes this and how can I stop it?The particular folder and its subs have over 2000 images total. Feature Request for Lightroom - 'Sync Settings Presets' - so that we can save custom preset combinations of settings to sync instead of just 'select all' and 'select none'.Especially useful when you want to paste certain combinations of settings. For example, paste all settings except for brush, gradient, radial, upright transformations and crop adjustments etc.
I have been able to tether using my A7IV but am unable to do the same with my A7RV for some reason. When I connect the cable to the MAC, it only shows "Mass Storage - USB" on the camera screen. The A7IV will give me the options for connecting as tethered. I possibly and probably have a setting in the camera that is not allowing it to connect as a tethered camera. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
my editors work from home. our current workflow is to create a lightroom classic catalog in a project folder which also contains the raw originals for an event. we use external drives to give to each other. i always keep the original copy which i first give them. once they finish editing in the lightroom catalog, we meet and i copy the lightroom folder inside the project to my drive. i only have to copy the lightroom folder because i already have the original photos and use the same file structure. when i click on the lightroom catalog inside the project, i see all of their edits and can makr any final adjustments before exporting and giving to client. id like to do something better with adobe cloud storage. the events are usually about 50gb for photos so worried about uploading/downloading times for files. one of my editors suggested using new lightroom which attempts to do this but feels clunky and needs to work
I can no longer import images from my Canon R5 Mark II into Lightroom (updated) even though it works with my Canon R3. Radial Grad & Linear Grad can't be repositioned. There are no outlines or control functions, such as rotate or enlarge, etc.
Very Longtime LRC user with over 80,000 images in catalog running on Mac Studio M1 Max and Sequoia 15.3.2. and since ver 14 I have to quit Lightroom for some functions like Denoise to Work. Funnily Denoise will work while LRC is importing a large number of images but as soon as it finishes import it stops workingApple Mac Studio M1 with Sequoia 15.3.2 and LRC 14.2
I have been using Lightroom, first as a priuchased app and then by subscription for over 10 years and have accumulated 88000 edited photos. Having cancelled my subscription after the larger price hike I now discover I cannot access ANY of those edited photos, only the originals that are on my hard drive anyway. It seems to me that my years of work are being held hostage so I resubscribe while for years I paid for the ability to edit. Should I have exported all my photos beforehand, taking ages of my time? Frankly I am disgusted with this treatment. [Branched off from an old thread by moderator]
Hello! I've been using LR since the beginning and recently I've been facing performance issues, whether it's temporary freezes when handling files in the library or pasting adjustments in the development or importing and exporting images. I use 40Mp Fujifilm cameras and my PC is relatively powerful, with a 4K screen. Sometimes I'm organizing files in the library, moving them from one folder to another and LR simply freezes, staying several seconds without responding or updating the screen, then it starts working again but it gets slower and slower. When generating previews, it gets very slow to respond, as well as when exporting. Sometimes, navigating the library, the App stop responding or respond slowly and suddenly, responds all at once as my commands got "queued". Sometines it even give me alerts of "Program not responding" before it returns back to life. Other times, It will take a lot of time to export or generate previews and checking taskmanager show it barely using any CPU/GPU
Hi All,Windows 11/64GB DDR6/i9/RTX4070 12GVRAM LRC 14.2 I recently acquired a Nikon Z9, and it's my intial foray into ML cameras...very impressive to be sure. Here's my issue/question. When I import into LR Classic, the files look quite different than all of my DSLR files (D5, D850, D750, D500). I shoot raw exclusively, and use Camera Neutral as my picture control setting for all bodies. When I import the Z9 files, they render as soft and lacking in detail, as opposed to the other cameras which render cripsly with good detail (example...bird feathers) and eyes. I can't imagine that this is a camera issue. I know that as a raw file I can "fix" this, but I can't understand why it's happening and until I can, I cannot rule out the camera either. I have seen some other posts elsewhere about this, but none more recent than a year ago, and I haven't seen any real explanation. One individual (in a YouTube vid) mentioned that Ad
Hello! I'm having trouble with appearance of pixelation. When I zoom into 1:1 in my Develop module, my photos always look pixelated. I shoot in camera RAW and feel like they should be crystal clear. When I open them in Photoshop, I am able to zoom way in & they are super clear. Additionally, when I export the photo in lightroom & open it in Preview, it is still the same amount of pixelated when zoomed in. I obviously don't want my clients to see this. Will it print poorly? Here are a couple screen shots of the photos in the lightroom develop module zoomed into 1:1. I export at a resolution of 300 ppi & sharpen normal for matte.ISO 320, 50 mm Canon f/2.8 1/2500 sec
Seems after the last catalogue "upgrade", my Catalogue is not working as PSD files' thumbnails are not showing in the grid neither visible full size. The NEF /RAW files thumbnails are OK. I'm using Windows 11 Pro. Thanks!
My PC with Windows 11, in the latest update of the Nvidia drivers, hardware acceleration is disabled, driver studio 576.02, latest version of LR Classic, I have already deleted LR and installed it again, I installed the game driver, the card works because Windows recognizes it and I can play normally, I noticed the problem when I went to apply noise reduction and it took me an absurd amount of time. Then I noticed that it was disabled. What should I do? amd r7 5700x, 32 gb rtx 4060ti [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
I recently returned from a trip where I used my laptop to edit photos using Lightroom Classic. Now I want to import that catalog into my main catalog on my desktop. However, it keeps failing due to an Unexpected Error. I am running V14.2 on Windows 11 with latest updates installed.I have tried the following: Moved the files and the catalog from the laptop onto the desktop.Opened the catalog from the laptop and Updated the Folder Location to the new directoryChecked for missing files. None.Backed-up the database & error checked. No problem.Tried importing the above catalog into the PC's catalog, but it fails with an unexpected error.Exported the folder as a catalog. After the upgrade to 14.2 I have had issues when I open pictures where the spot healing tool has been used for more than a few spots. I can select the picture, but if I use the shortcuts ”Q” (spot healing) or ”R” (cropping) the picture will dissapear and only the grey background is left. For pictures with only a few spots, the picture will reappear in maybe 30 seconds, however pictures with a lot of spots may not reappear even after more than 15 minutes. In that case I can force LRC to close and continue with other pictures. Prior to the upgrade I had no issues of this kind.I have reset the preferences without any impact.I have a MAC Mini M2 fully upgraded and a BENQ screen
