Lightroom Classic

Hi, I have an issue with HDR monitor. When I disable the GPU for display everything is displayed correctly but when I turn it on the image is washed out in highlights. I've attached two sreenshots presenting this issue. The monitor is philips 27m1n5500za, and GPU is AMD RX7800XT with newest drivers. Also note - I have to use HDR on my display for correct colors, in SDR everyting is super saturated and it's impossible to fix (I'm comparing this images to images on my OLED laptop and phone to be sure colors adre correct and olny HDR is giving my those colors). This issue is present inf Lr and LrC I'm not sure if it's fixable, I probably can only use CPU for editing but I'm worried it's gonna be slow. Correction for second screenshot: the image isn't brighter on my screen, just highlights are "squashed". The background is still medium gray.  

I sometimes use tethered capture, but not that often. To my unpleasant surprise, it hasn't worked for some time, even though I followed all the steps to fix the problem. I even did a new installation of LrC (w. uninstall and clearing registers), assigned absolute rights to the folder where the photos were supposed to be saved, and LrC still gives an error message about the impossibility of saving to any selected location. I have Windows 10 with all updates and the latest version of LrC 14.1.1. Please don't ask me to do a clean install of Windows and then go through version by version and find out where it stops working, because you get paid for that. Smart Shooter 5 in the latest version (trial 5.8) works absolutely flawlessly! :((

The people masking tool has started creating rectangular masks when I select people. Any solution on how I can get the mask to be applied properly? The problem started some weeks ago. Below is an example showing the mask generated. Below is an example where I have increased the exposure for the generated mask. I am using Lightroom Classic 14.1.1 and Camera Raw 17.1. I get the same issue in Photoshop when using Camera Raw. I have created a large lightroom catalog with all my individual photos from projects over many years. After importing my photos into the lightroom catalog I then create one or more collections to sort the photos im more logical subcollections. I then start editing from there. If a photo is rejected I delete it from the collection resulting in a usable set of photo's once I'm done. This works fine for me but now I realised I have a lot of clutter on my hardisk from rejected photo's that will neveer be seen or used again. I would like to clean up these rejected pictures from my harddisk so I am looking to find a way to delete all pictures in my lightroom catalog from disk if they are not used in a collection. Any input would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot

I am new to Lightroom Classic, but I've had the cloud version for a while. When I make edits on Lightroom Classic, the edits are synced to my cloud Lightroom. However, when I go into my desktop folders where those images are stored locally, they are in the original format. I was under the impression that lightroom classic would sync everything. Am I missing something? Do I need to re-download/export them to my desktop now that I have edited them?Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Hello,I'm having a major problem with Lightroom Classic v14.1.1. that I've never had before. I'm a professional photographer and I use Lightroom as my main photo management and editing tool. The thing is that yesterday I tried to export a set of images and to my surprise the export window didn't appear. I thought it was a one-off error, so I restarted Lightroom. Everything remained the same, the export window didn't appear. I restarted the computer and tried again: everything was the same. I reset Lightroom preferences and nothing at all. I uninstalled Lightroom, tried previous versions and everything is the same. For some reason the export window has stopped appearing and I can't export anything at all. Sometimes, maybe after half an hour, the screen appears with a delay, when I've forgotten about it. But usually it never appears. It's strange, because it's not an error generated by updating, but it was sudden. I've been using this latest version for a few days and nothing has happene

Try to add Facebook account my Connected accounts in Content Credentials.In Connected accounts manager page (tried both Lightroom and PS) there is no Facebook available and no option to add your own account.For test tried Instagram but I cancelled it because IG wants change my account to proffesional or something.Searched and found this from photoshop help page (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/connect-accounts.html)Add other social accountsLog into any other social media accounts to add them.Adobe won’t keep any access to your accounts when you’re done.Does that mean that I have to log into my adobe account by Facebook or what does it mean?Logging in with any other accounts is not an option to me. Never and nowhere!

I still use LrC quite a bit, but I don't participate in the forums much anymore. Found that I was giving too many incorrect replies. However, I have a question about the histogram. I've noticed that lately all of my images  have a significant white overlay over them that I haven't noticed previously. Is this new, or is there an anomaly in my installation? Just curious.

I do not see albums as an option in the left panel and do not see it as an option under Panels in the Window tab.  Not sure what to do.Thanks, 

I un-installed LRC but now I can not get it to install. The web interface just shows "waiting"What can I do ? 

My Histogram in LRc is showing only the RGB colors, how can I get also the CMY colors displayed in my histogram, The CMY colors as you know results from the overlap of colors from RGB. How can I get RGB and CMY displayed in my histogram? Thank you in advance

Hey All, I am still using my Macbook Pro (2014) MacOS Big Sur 11.7.1 and I can not upgrade my OS to Monterey in order to run Lightroom Classic. Is there a way I can use an older version of lightroom? I can't seem to find one, I just says i have to upgrade which puts me dead in the water.... Please help.

Bonjour, depuis quelques temps je n'arrive plus à redimensionner la fenêtre principale de l'application sur Mac OS.J'ai cherché partout, et bien sur ce n'est pas le mode plein écran. Quand je passe de l'un à l'autre il ne se passe pas grand chose, c'est toujours plein écran.J'aimerai comme avant pouvoir dimensionner la fenêtre de LR plus petite pour voir mon bureau.En fait là je n'ai plus accès au bureau du mac, sauf par le dock. C'est vraiment galère.Une idée ? Merci  

Cuando intento creo una máscara y utilizo el ratón funciona correctamente, pero cuando utilizo la tableta gráfica (Wacom Intuos) tarda entre 15 y 30" en reaccionar.Trabajo con Windows 11 y Lightrom Classic 14.1.1.He comprado otra tableta gráfica (Huion), he reinstalado completamente el sistema operativo y aun así el problema persiste. YA NO SE QUE MÁS PUEDO HACER.¿Algún consejo o sugerencia?Adjunto características del PCGracias.

I have run lightroom on my windows 10 for many years without a problem. Suddenly it takes ages before opening and when I try to open a catalog, it subsequently freezes and it indicates that Lightroom does not  answer. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling but to no avail. Also I tried to reset the preferences to the default settings but the app. does not respond. Finally, I tried to create a new catalog by holding the Ctrl-Key while starting the app. The app indicates that it will prepare a backup, starts the backup and the it freezes again: the app does not answer. Thank you for your help. 

Logn story short. Converted my ARWs (Sony RAW) to DNGs. Lost the library, have a backup but it points out to the original ARW files. I can locate the files manualy but Lightroom tells me it's not the correct name (1234.DNG instead of  the 1234.ARW it is looking up) so, it only pics that picture instead of the whole bunch on that same folder. Is there a way to edit the library to make it look for DNGs instead of ARWs?

Hello,my primary lightroom Catalog keeps eating up Memory when importing photos (even just less then ten from a SD card, no video included) or synchronizing a folder. It also sometimes ends up saying in the catalog window on the top left corner: Current Import 3 photos or even 40 but fails to show them. Most the times it just stays on zero though and waits to be force quit or crashes. The catalog is regularly backed-up and optimized and I use a Macbook pro 16 inch M3 with 18gb of memory and 1tb of internal stoage.

Hi! I don't know why I can't export my calibrated RAW files to Export Image to PSD from Lightroom Classic! Even the exposure menu is different from the one explained on the site: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca_fr/lightroom-classic/help/exporting-photos-basic-workflow.html This feature doesn't exist anymore? But I need to convert my RAWs to PSD!Thank you fot your help!  

Catalog corrupted.  Holding ALT and double clicking on the LRC icon does nothing.  How to get LRC to run and select a previous good catalog.  Also, no file in \users\Rick\Pictures\Lightroom with .LOCK in the directory, even looking for hidden files.  

Hello, I recently got a new mac and now my photo's won't import into Lightroom classic. It keeps being stuck on "Import photo's". I have reopend Lightroom, and tried importing them multiple times, but it doesn't do anything. With my old mac I never had this problem. Does anybody know what this could be?? Greetings!

My collections in lightroom are missing hundreds of images. I don't mean the previews are there but it's not connected to the original source. The images are literally just not there at all.My collections which would have whole shoots in showing less images than they should - some vastly so. On one shoot, only the B&W images are missing - which I create by making a copy of the colour version.My process is: Import images from my external HD to LR as smart preview. I'll edit off the smart preview and then export the whole lot to my external HD.It doesn't make sense to me at all.

For the past few months, I have been struggling with a problem where when I run Adobe's photo software LRC/PS (especially LRC) and an internet browser (either Chrome or Edge) at the same time in a Windows 11 environment, PC becomes extremely slow and I can't do any work. There seem to be no problems with the specs, and even when I look at the task manager while it's slowing down, there doesn't seem to be any problems. (Memory is 64GB) What's more, I'm troubled because this has only happened recently. I think both Adobe and the browser have done pretty much everything I can find online. Do you have any ideas for a solution?

Hi I have noticed when exporting form Lightroom Classic, there are big colour bands on blue skies when I export in JPEG. I am using the same settings I have always used and never had this problem. I tried exporting in Tiff and the bands are not there. Im not very familiar with the pros and cons of exporting in Tiff though.  The only thing that has changed is I am now using a mac pro laptaop instead of a desk top.Could this be the problem?  I have googled this and still cant work it out so 3ould really apprecialte some advise please. Thanks   

after the installation of lightroom 14.1.1 I cannot generate keywords. after filling in a keyword it disappears after I give an enter.... 

I keep getting this after LR has been idle for hours. I think it's a bug.
