Lightroom Classic

My current workflow could definitely be more efficient and not run into storage problems copy memory card photos to an external harddrive import to Lightroom, cull and edit but the main issue is my MacBook storage which runs out all the time this way and have to upload photos in small batches. Do people generally edit from their external SSD? I have 2TB here rather than the 256gb.sorry for the beginner question! 

I am an editor for another photographer who sent me an LrC catalog with Smart Previews. An important detail: he uses MacOS and I use Windows 10. He has recreated the catalog multiple times, but the same error keeps happening: an exclamation mark appears on the image with the message 'Lightroom has encountered problems reading this photo'. I've already moved the files from my C:// SSD to another SSD, but the issue persists. I am running the latest version of the software. Adobe Lightroom V 14.5.2IMac intel core i5Jusqu’à ce soir, tout allait bien Le débruitage automatique IA fonctionnait bien (détails). Brusquement, sans mise à jour, il ne fonctionne plus. Impossible de débruiter aussi bien d’anciennes photos du catalogue que les nouvelles que je viens d’importer...Je ne comprend pas...  

So, when I import my photographs from my external hard drive I usually just move them, not add. So I don't know if this takes them off my external hard drive, usually it does not seem to. I had a glitch today in Lightroom classic while importing and so decided to start over again with my oresets. When I did, I removed the files from the recently added folder in LRC, when I went back to to my T7 they were gone. I know that when I deleted them from folder I did not choose to delete from disk as well, made sure not to smoke 1600 pictures lo. I do have Backblaze but I don't know if they were there long enough to backup. Any help appreciated! Thank ya

My images do not appear in ‘Develop’ tab when I select from the library. How do I fix this?

My web host has a neat feature that allows me to download the metadata  into a CSV format of a gallery that includes: FilenameTitleDescriptionAlt TagKeywordsand one other field they use that ties into the system you do not change You can then easily modify all the medata in the spreadsheet, when done you do a simple upload and all meta date for the images you modified will get the metadata updates.  This is very fast and easy to makes sure all the metadata is exactly as you want in a batch fashion. I cannot find any option in LRC that would allow me to select the same metadata fields from this CSV file to do a batch import as well.  It is very painful and a waste of bandwith/time to have to update each image one at a time in LRC, export all the changed images, the re-upload to the host.  I clearly want all my metadata to match in LRC and my host. Am I missing where this is?  Can anyone help me get this working?

Performance has significantly degraded after the recent update. Lightroom CC is now frequently freezing and crashing, with HDR merge being especially unstable and slow.This is occurring on a high-end system (Ryzen 5900X, 64 GB RAM), so the issue does not appear to be hardware-related. Hallo Community,  ich verzweifle gerade an einem Problem: Ich habe meine Fotos in Lightroom in Ordnern organisiert. Meist importiere ich erst mal in den Katalog und verschiebe dann nach in den jeweiligen Ordner. Ich bearbeite die Bilder und versehe sie mit Attributen wie versch. Anzahl von Sternen und versch. Farben.  Aus irgendeinem Grund bekomme ich, auch wenn ich die Filter entferne, nie alle Bilder angezeigt. Beispiel: Ich habe über 1000 Fotos in meinem Urlaub gemacht, viele gelöscht. Laut Lightroom sind noch 612 Fotos in meinem Ordner "Korsika", es werden aber nur 557 angezeigt.  Ich dachte, es sei ein Filter-Problem, aber auch, wenn ich alle Filter entferne, entweder mit Command & L oder über das Menu (s. Screenshot), werden nach wie vor nur 557 Fotos angezeigt.Das ist nicht in allen Ordnern so, aber in fast allen mit mehr als 100 Fotos. Wer hat eine Idee, woran das liegen kann bzw., wie ich wieder auf alle Bilder in einem Ordner zugreifen k

[Lightroom mobile]Until now I could delete everything in "imports"/"your edits", but now suddenly nothing happens when I delete photos, and I can't delete files in the trash either. Why?When I deleted all the app data, the old files deleted themselves, and one day it was possible to delete normally, but now it doesn't work again.And can't delete creative cloud files.Where is the mistake? 

What’s the best next step ?I have finished editing my images. I have a few images in the film strip that I don’t want / need. After editing I suppose I can delete them, or maybe simply just close out LrC.  What would you do?  Thank you.

Hello,  My photo edits over multiple project folders have gone missing after doing a reinstall of lightroom.  I do have backups of the catalog but non of them seem to recover my photo edits, it only seems to retain the my custom presets.  Please let me know if there is a way to recover my photo edits.  Your help is much appreciated. Lightroom version 15.4

In the Remove tool, there’s the healing and clone stamp tool which have to have a source. In previous versions if you hold down cmd on mac, and you drag the point, you can determine where the source should be exactly. And the original point where the healing takes place should show a preview of the source. In Lightroom Classic 15.4 when you hold down cmd and then drag the pointer of the heal or clone, you can not see the preview, only if you let go of the mouse. I attached a screenshot, it clearly shows that the healing doesn’t update the preview of the source.How it should work: It should display the preview of the source as it worked in previous versions.Software: Lightroom Classic 15.4Hardware: M1 Max MacBook Pro

Stepping from photo to photo in develop module is still very slow. Also there’s a bug in the Healing and Clone Stamp tool, where you press cmd and drag, the preview doesn’t show up like it used to.

I recently got an external hard drive (24TB) to store my photos, since my MacBook only has 1TB. I set the hard drive up through Lightroom since that is what the YouTube tutorials recommended. After set up (external showing in Lightroom), I moved over (drag & drop) roughly 3700 photos from my Macbook to the , which was roughly 200 GB on my Mac, my external is now showing full 23.7/24TB. What did I do wrong? And how can I fix this?

I’ve had this problem for awhile now and haven’t been able to find a solution.  On the import tab when attempting to import pictures it takes Lightroom classic forever to generate the thumbnails. I’m not talking about the previews that get built based on my choice during the import. I talking about the grid view where you can select which files to actually import.  I just tried on a sample of 280 pictures and it took the better part of 3 or 4 minutes to generate the thumbnails. Which is about as long as it takes to do the actual import AND generate 1:1 previews…  I’m shooting primarily a fujifilm XT5 with and only shoot .RAFLightroom version 13-3 (but has been happening for the better part of the last 2 years) I’ve got a very good homebuilt computer Intel Core i7-13700k (liquid cooled)RTX 4070 (GPU acceleration turned on)64 gigs of RAMHarddrive in question is a 30% full M.2 NVME SSD I previously bought a high end card reader and usb 3.0 cabling hoping this would help. Which is doesn’t.

My masking panel is basically gone. The default is that the panel opens separately from the other tools and thereby, sometimes, it will cover a part of your image. I grabbed the panel and drag & dropped it into the column with the other tools but cannot get it back out.  If I select >Tools >Create New Mask then it will open all the masking tools in the right column above all the other tools. However, it says “No Mask Selected” at the top in the grey bar. And, there isn’t a bar to ‘grab’ at the top and drag it back over onto the photo part of the screen. Has anyone seen this before? What is the fix? Thank You!

This is my post from nine years ago:  It’s STILL an issue  after the full rewrite of the plugin.  How de we get this addressed?  Capture One and Canon’s EOS Utility get this right.  Lightroom Classic does not. I’m using an EOSr5 in an M3 MacBookPro running 26.5.1

Lightroom Classic shows a message “corrupted catalogue” but is unable to restore (the system stalls). This is a very serious bug for a software that I use since years and >100.000 photos. Getting earlier versions from the backup does not help.I am using the latest version of Lightroom Classic and the latest Mac-OS operating system on a desktop Mac.

I only recently discovered the LrC ability to edit filenames during import.  However, LrC has no Filename Text Editor in the right pane of the import window. The two panes available are File Handling and Apply During Import.Adobe Help keeps referring to “Restoring Filename Editor in Adobe Learning Manager Desktop Application” but I have never used Adobe Learning Manager! I’m a newbie to LrC. Maybe I have missed something, or my search input is misworded but is there a human out there who knows how to solve this dilemma? I really could use this feature in  LrC.  Thanks.

I have two photos taken with two cameras only a few seconds apart. But the timezone of the cameras differ. As a result of the recent upgrade to v15.4, I "lost" over 4,000 photos that are "Missing", according to LRc. I have followed numerous on line recovery suggestions, but have been unable to make any of them work. Have others experienced an issue?

I updated LRC today from v15.3.1 to v15.4. Upon loading, it said my catalog was outdated and needed to be upgraded for this version. Afterward I opened the program, and while the edits still seem applied to the photos, each photo’s edits have been wiped from the History panel. I rolled back to v 15.3.1 and went to import the backup it made before upgrading (from the Old Lightroom Catalogs folder) but the backup zip has no .lrcat file in it. All the previous backup zips have their respective .lrcat files, so it appears Adobe broke both the upgraded catalog as well as the backup. My secondary backup is only recent up to a couple weeks ago so I will have lost a lot of work if I have to roll back to that one. I read in a Reddit thread from 2 years ago that v14 did the same thing to a lot of people, and Adobe quickly released a 14.1 hotfix that apparently fixed it. Hopefully they’ll correct this, just want to register the bug and see if anyone has any other solutions. The backup zip does ap
