Lightroom Classic

Hi,  I have noticed some issues with the healing tool recently leaving dark or light spots when trying to remove objects. Also does it with Clone and Remove tools. Please see attached for before and after.   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

I have just spent over two hours trying to view & edit some pictures in LrC but keep getting the message "Lightroom not responding" & have to close it down & try again. About 30+ times so far. First I couldn't even get it to show the folder I wanted then next time I got as far as viewing the folder but was unable to select a picture before it stopped responding, next I got the piocture but couldn't move in to Develop etc, etc.This is not the first time this has happened, which is why I haven't edited anything  since before Christmas as it is so annoying. Especially after having the issue with photoshop that wouldn't recognise RAW files.How can Adobe justify increasing their prices when their product fails to do what it is meant to do.On top of all that I have just heard that the prices are rising & that the most affordable package is being withdrawn. I recently started to work with DxO PhotoLab and NIK collections just to add editing capabilities to my work. Whenever I'm done editing in these external programs and when I send them back into Lightroom, first, I will need to 'synchronize folder' so that the editied versions appear in the Lightroom image filmstrip of thumbnails, but I also notice that on every edit a new 'Collection is added to the list under 'collections.' Why does this happen? This has never happened before with outsided edits say, for instance Topaz software. I don't know how to delete these 'collections' or even if I should as it might cause problems? I need helpful advice from somone who knows what is going on with this. Should I just ignore? What would you recommend? TIA,Ken

Bonjour, dans quelque temps je vais participer à un voyage-photo au cours duquel, je vais prendre des photos à traiter dans Ligntroom classic à partir d'un portacle que je prévois louer. Présentement, j'ai Lightroom classic + Photoshop d'installé sur mon PC avec Windows 11. Je me demandais, quelle méthode serait la plus facile pour transférer mes photos du portable (en voyage) à mon PC (à la maison). Je pense qu'il y a plusieurs options et je ne sais pas trop laquelle choisir. J'ai acheté une CLE USB de 64GO que je peux utiliser pour déplacer mes photos du portable vers le PC mais il y a aussi l'option du CLOUD pour laquelle j'ai 20GO de stockage. J'ai jamais utilisé le CLOUD et je crains un peu des ratés avec le CLOUD.  Je n'ai pas encore installé la version Lightroom. Selon vous, est-ce que la version Lightroom est efficace pour être installé sur un portable utilisé à distance ? Probablement que Lightroom contient moins de fonctions que Lightroom classic. Hi!I just subscribe my lightroom plan (still in 7day trial period). But I have issue with my Lightroom classic cloud. It said that it trying to connect with server. I already re-install the app for multiple times but still doesn't work. I saw multiple thread regarding this issue but I cannot find the newer one. Anyone can help me with this issue? 

Lightroom Classic tether function was finally working without issue, but after latestest update (14.1.1) will no longer fire via the tether shooting panel when camera (Nikon 850) is in mirror lock-up mode. The other functions work fine, i.e., shuutter speed, aperture, ISO.. all communicate with camera and adjust, but after first click of shutter release (via tether panel) camera just locks with "PC" on LCD. OS: Win 11

WIndows 11My  LR CC 11.1 keep saying: trying to connect with server. So I can not sycn photo from cloud.  BTW：My LightRoom connect with server without problem.  

I have been spending ages trying to track down a hardware fault (camera or card) and now I suspect that the issue is actually in Lightroom.   Below are two screenshots from Lightroom. Both of them are imports  exactly the same RAW file shot on a Sony A7RV. The first is clean, the second has a horizontal red line above above the heads of the figures. I had assumed this was a card or camera issue but now realise that the file is clean (also looks fine in Camera Raw and other apps). So I am assuming the artifact has been added during impirt, which feels weird.   I am running LR Classic 14.1.1 and Camera Raw 17.1 on Windows 11.   Has anyone else ever seen this?         [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

Before anyone asks, I have a 1Gbps fibre connection at home and there's nothing that's hogging the bandwidth at the time I left Lightroom Classic to sync the Lightroom CC photos. I've also been monitoring the network download speeds and it seems that it's just constantly at 50-100KB/s. Which would take "forever" to sync up just a single album of 380 photos (4GB in total).4GB files can be downloaded in about 3-4 mins tops sometimes at 20-30MB/s on my Internet connection... so waiting for almost 3 hours to see only 154 photos synced is really painful. Is anyone else also facing this issue?

Hello, I just got a new computer and i'm not sure how to move my catalog to my new computer. I don't want to lose anything that I've worked on thus far. If someone could help that would be great.

Hello !  Since yesterday i can't open Lightroom classic in my computer and if it manage to open, closes after a while with an error message:<crash exception="EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" exceptionCode="0xc0000005" instruction="0x0000000077228ADC">I tried everything, from uninstall to re-install adobe creative cloud and programs even change the user admin...Could anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance !Vicky.

1/im new in LR and have got in a right mess, how can i remove evrything and start again?,2/ In My "Pictures" folder LR has changed the titles i had on each folder, and just turned them in years iE 2005 2010 2011 etc so now I dont know what is where, an absolut mess, so much so im think of cancelling my subscription. I thought this was supposed to be fairly easy!!

local photo = LrApplication.activeCatalog():getTargetPhoto() is returning an empty table, even though I have photos selected. I'm almost embarrased to ask, does anything spring to mind? 

je tente de créer une collection dynamique qui se base sur une autre collection dynamique existante.  Je n'obtiens aucun résultat.  Par contre, lorsque je tente la même création basée sur une collection 'standard', ça fonctionne bien.  Je ne vois nulle part de spécification qui documente ce comportement.   Donc ma question est : peut-on créer une collection dynamique qui se base sur collection dynamique déjà existante?

I did a shoot tethering Lightroom to my Canon 1DX.In the tethering options I made sure I selected the "Filename" as the naming convention for downloaded files.For technical reasons some files didn't get transferred so I did an import of the memory card.The import had the option "Don't import suspected duplicates" enabled. However it is not detecting photos downloaded during the tethering as duplicates.Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

Can't open LR Classic. Get a message that the catalogue is open in another application. No idea what that is. Help please!

Hi, I'm trying to add an audio file to a picture (like in Slideshow); example is dog's bark over a picture of that particular dog.  I can add while in Slidshow but then it says the music file is not well formed.  Now that I look at it do I need to change the file back to a .wav file?  Not sure how/why Apple decided to do that.  Thank you for your help!

I just moved from a PC to a MAC. The moving of LrC went well using the book from Lightroom Queen. A few hiccups but ok except for watermarks. All my graphic watermarks appeared when I selected one in EXPORT however I received a generic 'watermark error'.Looking at the template, on the MAC, I found this line imagePath = "C:\\Users\\paul\\Pictures\\_Photography\\Signatures\\Digital Art - White.png",Obviously this will not work on a MAC. When I manually tried to change the file reference to the correct one for MAC, I still got an error.Looks like I need to recreate my watermark definitions on the MAC 😞

Au bout de quelques actions sur Lightroom Classic (derniere version a jour, sur Windows 11 a jour, pilotes a jour) le temps passe d'un coup a 8 minutes. I'm really struggling. Recently upgraded to a M3 Pro, 18 GB MacBook Pro. When I first got it the DeNoise feature FLEWWWW by but now it takes roughly two minutes per picture, this is really disrupting my workflow, any tips? I specifically got the 18GB to handle editing so feeling a little lost.  Shooting on a Canon R6 Mark II and Canon R5 for reference.

I'm currently working in a folder with ~300 pictures.In the filmstrip they are arranged by time taken - which means that every picture occurs twice and then the next picture comes up.Now I want to assemble some of these pictures into a panorama. For that I want to select only the JPG (and later only the DNG) pictures. I do this manually by Ctrl + Clicking on each picture.But sometimes instead of selecting the correct image the next image over is selected (or even the one after that).My hypothesis is that the click-event is not correctly associated with the cursor position but rather the position is only taken from the cursor when the click is processed. Hello,I just have a simple question. I'd like to buy Lightroom and use it on my current computer. However, I'll probably buy a new computer in a few months. Can I then legally move Lightroom to the new computer without having to buy it again? And can I move the Lightroom library to the new computer, including all the work I did on my pictures so far?Thanks!

Adobe LrC and CR are not recognizing Apple iPhone DNG files as being raw files. (1) When I import into LrC using Copy As DNG, the error message says: "Non-Raw Files Were Not Converted to DNG", (2) The new PS CR feature to remove reflections from shooting through glass gives error message that this applies only for RAW files (but this IS a raw file), (3) LrC Develop Basic Auto button hardly makes any changes including leaving major clipping. It appears that Apple ProRAW file format is not being recognized by Adobe products as being a RAW file.
