Lightroom Classic

Hello there,I'm looking for some help with LRC. All of a sudden, it won't open. I click on it, it loads for a bit - then nothing. I can also not uninstall it! I have tried the following:- restarting the computer multiple times- installing it again- uninstalling (it won't)- uninstalling it by uninstalling Adobe Cloud first (still won't work)- uninstalling with the Adobe Clean up program as per tutorial (will uninstall everything BUT Lightroom Classic)Please help! The regular Lightroom programm works, but I need Lightroom Classic for my work.I'm using Windows 10.

Hi After updating and downloading and and gerally changing things around LR will not re-import ALL my photographs? I have some 30k worth and its stuck on 1500 with it just saying 'import files at their location' never had problems before. Any ideas?

The main folder contains all the photos, but all the subfolders have question marks showing 0 photos (but they all should have several photos on each). The functions "find the missing folder" or "remove folder" don't work for each subfolder. The hard drive contains the same folders. Please advise 

Hi, does anyone know where I could  find support from Adobe for a bug in Lightroom Classic? After the last update, it has a problem when I try to create a catalog at Importing pictures. The "create new catalog button" just doesn't work.

When I'm in develop module editing RAW photos, I switch to full screen with F key, then I click with left mouse into the image which zooms the image to the selected zoom ratio, the result is a zoomed view that's slightly blurry. If I then grab the image with my left mouse and move around, it immediately sharpens up. If I then left click again the image zooms out and is again slightly blurry. If exit out of full screen the image immediately sharpens up.If I choose to zoom with the spacebar key or the Z key, everything works correctly. Zoomed in picture is sharp.The problem occurs only when in full screen view.The problem occurs both with 50% and 100% zoom.This is repeatable on every RAW photo.The problem is present with GPU accelleration both on or off.The problem doesn't occur with JPG images.The problem doesn't occur in Library view in full screen. I'm using Windows 11 24H2 and Lightroom Classic 14.1.1. CPU Intel 14700K, GPU Nvidia RTX4090.

My image previes folder for Lightroom was nearing one TB in size so taking up too much hard drive space, so I moved it to an external drive and now lightroom seems to know where it is as I can still see all of my previews with ratings. I have destroyed more lightroom catalogs in my life than I care to mention so I want to ask here before I trust this change. Does Lightroom automatically know where the image previews folder is and is it okay to have on an external drive? I've already deleted the original folder from the computer hard drive where all of my apps are. You would think that Lightroom would complain if it coudn't find the image preview folder. Can someone with more experience give me input on this please. How can I tell if Lightroom is actaully 'hooked' to the image preview folder in its new location and not just using some sort of 'memory' from the old folder. Lightroom takes knowledge to do things like this and as you can tell, it's 'seat of the pants' is how I've been gtet

Lr 13.2 on my M1 MacBook Pro does not recognize the adjustments made to the same file on the Mac Studio M1 Desktop using the same Lr version, even though the XMP file from the Studio Desktop is downloaded to the MBP and sits right underneath the raw photo in the MBP finder. The raw photo had already been imported to the MBP at time of capture when there was no XMP associated with it. I was under the impression that once an XMP is associated with a raw file which is in the Lr catalog, Lr should pick-up the XMP data and make the requisite adjustments to the photo, but it does not. Is this a bug or a feature, and if the latter, how does one get edits that have been done in the desktop version of Lr recognized in the laptop version of Lr? It would seem perhaps one needs to get the XMP into the catalog as well, but there appears to be no way of doing this. LRC takes about a minute to start up / open which I click on the LRC icon. It used to start very quickly but suddenly just slowed down around the time I reached 100,000 images.  Once it is running it responds normally.  I have around 105,000 images catalogued. The catalogue is set to optimize on exit. I cannot export images after processing in Lightroom 5 (the newest version). See the message on top.

Adobe creative cloud and other apps are not opening in Windows 10 though i have ram, Disk,free . As When ever i try to open the app it opens an window and before opening it comes for a second and instantly closes i cant open any of my Adobe Apps In HP Zbook 17G5  Laptop. Though all other apps are woking fine.

Hello!I've run into a problem with Light Room Classic after I used PhotoSweeper to identify duplicates in my photos collection. I didn't follow through with the PhotoSweeper scan in that I didn't delete any duplicate files that it had identified. I did notice the next day, however, that many of my photos had the dreaded exclamation mark! I have been through the "Would you like to locate it?" process many times and cannot locate the original. The path that I'm presented with (to locate the original file) gets truncated. I'm not sure that makes sense, but the search process doesn't give me access to the full pathway, in fact, if I use Finder to locate the photo file by entering the full path, it returns nothing. As if the pathway is corrupted or non existent? Anyone have any ideas? The PhotoSweeper helps says that once I've "rediscovered" the correct address of one photo, then all the remaining lost files will also be found. I have been working on cleaning up my LrC catalog and working to make sure I have everything backed up. During this process, I discovered several photos had been inadvertently moved to a folder nearby the one I intended it to go in. However, when I attempt to move those photos to the appropriate folder, LrC completely bogs down, working for over 12 hours with the "operation in progress" bar never budging. What is really confusing is that soemtimes one or several photos will immediately go into their new folder, no muss, no fuss. I have tried quitting LrC, uninstalling & reintalling LrC, renaming the photos, renaming the folders, restarting the computer. Nothing seems to move this along.I am working on a Mac Studio with Apple M1 Max chip running OS Sequioa 15.1.1; and I am using the most recent version of LrC.  I've been a Lightroom user for many years and never run into this issue previously.Does anyone have any ideas on resolving this?

Hi everyone,I've imported a batch of photos into my Lightroom Classic CC catalog, but I've noticed that flags don't seem to be working anymore. In particular, I use eject and pick. The keyboard shortcut "x" pops up saying the photo is rejected, but doesn't appear so in the toolbar, and choosing Photo>Delete Rejected Photos does not delete rejected photos. It appears the only way to reject right now, for me at least is to right click a photo in grid view, and select reject photo from there.Bit of a pain as I cycle through quickly and decide if I'm keeping or not.Is anyone else noticing this, or maybe even know why?Thanks in advance!-Tom

Hello,I've filled the hard drive that holds my Lightroom Classic image libraries and am ready to move to a larger drive. I do back up this drive. I have around 5 TB of data, do I need to perform the entire move within Lightroom, dragging and dropping folders, or is there a way to point Lightroom to the new location after using something like Carbon Copy Cloner? I've moved folders within Lightroom and am familiar with the process, but it seems to choke on large folders and I have to break them down, which is tedious. Hi! I use Lightroom Classic for my college. I have a catalog that I accidentally upgraded to v14 using my college computers, and now my own computer (which I will need to use to complete my assessments) won't open my catalog because the version of Lightroom is too new. My computer is a MacbookPro 2015, which the OS Ventura does not support, and LC v14 requires Ventura. Is there a way to downgrade my catalog? Or upgrade LC anyway? Or some other method? Or have I lost all of my college work and have absolutely no means of being able to work on my assessments? It's required to be able to work on our photos at home, and I can't afford a new computer.

 1. Version: LRClassic 14.1.12. macOS Sequoia 15.2 3. When I try to view a photo in full screen in the library module of LRClassic, I just get a black screen. 4. Expected result is that my photo would be enlarged to full screen, but the actual result is that I just get a black screen. 

Bonjour,J'ai des photos dans ma collection lightroom classic pour lesquelles le symbole "metadatas à synchroniser" coté lightroom reste affiché (filtre metadata statut 'a été modifié') meme après l'action de sauvegarde des métadatas depuis LrC.Pourtant, les metadatas données modifiées sont bien enregistrées dans le fichier quand je controle avec bridge ou exiftoolgui.Déja vérifié : - les photos sont en lecture écriture- effacement des données exif, xmp, iptc avec exiftoolgui puis enregistrement des metadatas par lightroom.Merci d'avance pour votre aide. 

I'm trying to be chilled here and not too critical of LrC.   I recently had to create a new catalog - long story short it got corrupted. After several rounds of creating a new catalog and then "Import from catalog" from the old catalog I am back up and running. However as much fun as that was over the last two weeks or so, not a lot can compare to how utterly awful the Lightroom sync experience has been. As part of the creating a new catalog, sync will only sync with one catalog and I learnt the hard way that LRC will then import tens of thousands of smart previews back to your PC for reasons I cannot understand, given that the originals and their previews are there in the first place.    Eventually, I decided to get delete all synced photos and start again. Initially I tried "delete all synced data" in true helpful fashion all this does is direct you to the Lr web site. This is where I learnt that there is literally no "select all" in Lightroom mobile / or web: I had to

Please help smarter people than me. I've been on a 2 week holiday and Lightroom Classic has going to sh*t on me. I'm getting an error that says "An unknown error occured 51", and now I can import photos". I'm running 14.1.1 (I just upgraded hoping this would help the problem. Mac version: 15.2 (24C101) I'm just trying to import. 

I am running LrC on an Apple Macbook M1 (Sequoia 15.2) and print images from an Epson SC P800. In the past, printing on matte paper required fine-tuning the platen gaps and paper thickness settings from the print dialogues in order to avoid smudging issues with the printer. I will admit that this printer choice was a mistake but replacing the printer isn't really an option at this point. Is the lack of advanced paper controls an Apple software issue or an Adobe issue? Do any workarounds exist to access paper controls in PS or a third party software? 

As we are about to hit the new year (2025) and in light of the recent post by ADOBE describing their roadmap for productivity improvements - here are two simple changes that would improve my productivity especially when culling a set of random photographs (aka the most recent download from my phone or camera). Both of these to stop the endless and tedious scrolling while hunting for a destination Folder or Collection in the left sub-panel 1. In Library, right-click move to "Favorite Folder" 2. Similarily, right-click add to "Favorite Collection"   We can already desingate favorites for collections and folders - just trying to make them easier to access without losing the focus on the folder/collection you are presently in.....   JC MacOs 15.2 Sequoia, Mac Studio M1-Ultra 64gb/2TB

I'm new to LrC/PS.   I have the Adobe Photography Plan subscription for my MacBook.  I have made several catalogs and made a lot of mistakes organizing those catalogs.  Fortunately, I haven't created any work that i want to keep, so I want to start over.   Should I delete my catalogs, if so how?  (I do not my existing catalogs to interfere in any way with the new ones.). Or should I uninstall LrC/PS and reinstall?
