Lightroom Classic

I updated LrC to 12.4 yesyerday. Since then a number of pixels in multiple colors appear appear quite often on the image, mostly in the areas of blacks/darks and when using Tone Curve commands. It's similar to the red/blue pixels which denoted clipping in the areas of blacks/whites, but they appear in very many different other colors. Sometimes they disappear, or decrease, after actioning the commands again, sometimes they do not. Is anybody else facing the same problem which I encounter now for the vey first time after many years of use of LrC? Thank you in advance for your advise.

Okay, so I'm using Lightroom Classic 10.3 on Windows. I've had ~16k images properly synced to the cloud. When I tried to add some new ones, they got stuck syncing forever and would never succeed. I tried what I've seen on various posts: - Delete the Sync.lrdata folder- Recover the Catalog from backup- Rebuild the Sync Data (Preferences, hold down alt)- Delete all images from the cloud via Lightroom CC (they're all gone, I'm at 0 images on the cloud)- Delete all synced collections from Lightroom Classic Essentially, I've resigned myself to start over with zero images on the cloud to then reupload everything. However, even with ZERO images on the cloud, I am still stuck with 80 images syncing and no sync activity in Lightroom Classic. How can I fix this? I just want to upload my photos again. For kicks I just tried to create a new collection and add a photo. The counter in the cloud menu recognizes this and increments the count from 80 to 81, but it also just sits the

Bonjour,Je rencontre un problème quand j'ouvre mon catalogue il n'affiche plus le nombre de photos devant le dossier ni les les couleurs si il y en avait.Les photos apparaissent pourtant dans le module bibliothèque mais quand je passe sur le module développement l'image n'apparaît pas.Je suis obligé d'attendre environ 30min à 1h pour que le nombre de photos apparaissent mais les photos ne s'affichent toujours pas dans le module bibliothèque.Que faire ?J'ai supprimé tout les fichiers pour garder que le lrcat et lrcat data, j'ai ensuite recréé touts les aperçus.Ca a fonctionné correctement 1 ou 2 jours et le problème est revenu. Je suis perdu que faire mon catalogue contient 47000 photos.

Is there any way to turn off "maximize compatibility" when using the SDK to render an image?  I created a plugin that renders image as part of generating panormas with PtGui, and since the latest update (14.0 or 14.0.1), TIFFs rendered through an LrExportSession created programmatically have changed to behave like "maximize compatibility" is turned on, which breaks (see my other post).  I have inspected the exportSettings of manual exports with and without "maximize compatibility" turned on, and I cannot find any property that changes. Is this a known issue? Anyone know of any potential workarounds?

The denoise function in LRC14 is way too slow. In fact useless to me. I have to use Topaz for fast and better results.

I am unable to open a photo from Lightroom Classic v14 into Photoshop 2025.  When I use Photo > Edit In (which is not greyed out), all the options are greyed out.  This happens even though the External Edit preference is set to Photoshop 2025. I have uninstalled both programs and then reinstalled with Photoshop installed first. No luck with that solution. Suggestions would be welcome. My setup:MacOS 14.6.1Lightroom Classic v 14.0Photoshop 2025, v 26.0.0

New bug in LRC 14.0 and 14.0.1  (Windows 11) 1. In the Develop module, click "Remove"  (Eraser mode; "Use generative AI" and "Detect Objects" are selected;  "Visualize Spots" NOT selected. 2.  Select area to be removed, which is highlighted in Red. 4. Click "Remove". 5. Dialog box pops up, when done, red highlight goes away and first variation is displayed.  Can cycle through the different variations.  (All good so far.) 6. On the same image, select another area to remove, which is now highlighted in Red. 7. Click "Remove". 8. Dialog box pops up, but when it is done, the red hightlight does NOT go away.  However, there is now three variations to choose from.  (Not good.) 9. If you click on the right arrow for Variation 2, the red highlight goes away and variation 2 is displayed.  You can rotate through the variations.   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]  

II am using Lightroom Classic 13.5.1  to manage my photo collection . I have a problem witha couple of  thousand JPG photos I made a long time ago with my SONY RX100-I (~30% of the total amount ) when writing tags to them from lightroom  (it can read them) it gives error  "cannot write metadata - unknown file format"   . I have tried exiftool to repair the metadata , but that does not help. If I open and safe the JPG in photoshop, the error disappears. But that is an elaborate process with image loss. Please find attached a sample file with write issues . What is causing this ? Is it a lightroom bug or can I delete a specifi tag causing this? 

Hello everyoneI renamed some of the LR develop presets I created, and although they still appear in the Favourites, they are not listed in the User Presets section. If I need to worry about them being in the User Presets section, how do I get them back into there? My concern is not to lose them should I need to reinstall LR or MacOS. MacOS and latest LR Thanks!John

AI functions were still working today, I used features such as background blur, smooth skin, etc. Now, any function related to AI simply doesn’t work, it says that the settings couldn’t be updated for 1 photo. And it happens with any photo. I'm attaching a screenshot of the error, but it’s written in Russian, though it shows the same error I mentioned above

I just installed Lightroom Classic Version 8 and none of my photos appear and I see no option to open my catalogue.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks.

First of all, I've resolved the problem by resetting the edits and starting over. However, I would like to know what I might have done wrong, so I might avoid this in the future. The DNG is 24 MB, from a Canon 6D Mark II. When it's open, LR generally lags when switching between modules, but it really boggs down when I open the masking panel. Toggling the overlay takes about 5 seconds. It takes 3-4 seconds to see the effect when clicking a mask's "eye" icon. There is several seconds delay between painting and seeing the stroke appear in the overlay, and as I move the brush the overlay appears in little blocks, instead of going down smoothly. It can take up to 10 seconds for the stroke to show in the history panel.  Here are the masks (2 gradients and 4 brushes):I optimized the catalog, deleted and re-created the 1:1 preview, and turned off  the graphics processor, but it didn't help. Is it possible for a specific file's database entry to get randomly corrupted?

Hello, my name is Javier.   I had this error for a long time, but i keep working because i did not want to remove all programs and install it again. But recently my Mac got a battery problem and when it return from apple service, the mac was formated, so I have to install all over again. To my surprise that the exit error 6 keep coming when using topaz photo ai. the error appears when I press the botton at topaz photo ai to send the photo back to lightroom again. The work is done most of the times, I have the photo back, but the error box appears and sometimes i have a crash on lightroom and I have to open the program again.   the programs where installed from scratch, not from a back up file.   Any help is welcome   rgds Javier   [Moved from 'Bugs' to 'Discussions' by moderator, according to forum rules. Recently, I have discovered a strange behaviour of Lightroom when entering metadata.I am in the library view/grid view and have selected several images. If I then write something in the metadata (e.g. caption), it is displayed briefly and then disappears again. Only when I manually trigger "Read metadata from file" is it displayed again."Selected photos" is ticked and the little eye symbol next to the metadata field.I didn't have this behaviour until a few weeks ago. What am I doing wrong? Windows 11, Lightroom Classic 13.

Please help. I backed up my catalog right before intalling the new update to 14.0.1. When it relaunched, my catalog was gone, it had reverteds to one from a few months back. I've gone through all my backups and cant find my backup from today. I had so much work on there, I think Im going to cry.

Lightroom Classic is not detecting camera during Tethered Capture. - Canon R5 with latest firmware, V 2.0.0- MacBook Pro, OS Sonoma 14.4, Chip Apple M3Pro, 18GB Memory- Lightroom Classic, version 14.0.1LR just keeps searching for the camera. The camera has not gone to sleep and I have plenty of disc space on the Mac. I tried shutting everything down and rebooting. Thanks for your help!

[Windows 11 debugging help Qs] I just moved up to a new computer. Before I had a 1080ti and enabling graphics acceleration made LRC so unusable that it was difficult to disable it again. OK, new computer, but same hard drive. I now have a brand new 7900xt graphics card, with brand new driver installed. Enabling graphics acceleration corrupts the image.   The best way I can describe it is that all the brightest parts of the image get lowered a gray, maybe a 75% gray.   Anyone seen this before? Hey Adobe community! I've been doing photo editing of my RAW files in Lightroom, but I often struggle to maintain the natural color accuracy of my photos, especially after adjusting exposure and contrast. The colors sometimes seem too enhanced, and I’m not sure if I’m over-editing. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello.I have a problem with Lightroom Classic, which is not able to open photos from previous years that have already been added to the catalog, and works perfectly before. It tries to access them but it is very slow or it doesn't even open them.The PC should be more than enough and I explain how it is configured:Intel Core i9 14900k (new, not damaged by anything previous), ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero (latest Bios 2703 with all Intel patches), 64 GB of 6200 Mhz memory, SAMSUNG SSD NVMe 990 PRO 2TB (WIN 11 and programs), SSD NVMe 2TB (here is only the Lightroom catalog and it is also used as a virtual drive for Photoshop to use), SSD 1TB (photographs from the current year), HD 6TB with previous years.If  I'm working with the current year (the 1TB SSD) and I don't leave that unit, there's no problem (close open Lighroom perfectly) , but although it's not very fast (and look at the PC that it is). Can someone advice me what to do? Before i used to see the SFTP option when i want to upload content (i am contributor) but for the last 2-3 months not sure how long i cant see the option to upload using SFTP. Contacted Adobe Customer service 10 people were transfering me one to another without answer and one even said Adobe dosnt have SFTP option....Anyway. I did clear cache browsing history cookie and yet dosnt show me the SFTP option. Is the problem in my Chrome browser or something as i use it as main default browser or the problem is in Adobe?   [moving from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

I've been experiencing a strange issue over the last few days, where instead of thumbnails, I only have grey tiles. There's a link to a screenshot below. I've reinstalled Lightroom Classic twice, tried going back two versions, reinstalled Nvidia drivers twice – nothing helps. I deleted the entire configuration folder and launched Lightroom Classic again – same issue. The problem only occurs on my laptop with Windows 11; the one with Windows 10 works flawlessly.Help, please – thanks in advance!
