Lightroom Classic

There is strange behavior regarding RAM usage in Lightroom (Classic) on the Apple M1 and probably also M2 chips.RAM usage is very acceptable (< 4 GB) when I start editing. After some edits on 24 megapixel files (no hdr or panorama) it grows to + 20 GB and macOS starts swapping. After a pause, I do a simple edit (in the basic panel) and it goes further up to 23 GB.I can do edits with RAM usage below 4 GB when LR just started and after a while it needs more than 23 GB do do a simple edit. It appears that Lightroom is not releasing the RAM that is no longer needed (quickly enough). For the moment, I only use GPU for display because it's much worse when GPU is on auto or used for image processing and export. I'm wondering if LR sometimes forgets to release RAM used by the GPU...I'm using version 12.5 on macOS Ventura 13.6 on 2 MacBook Pro M1 Pro's (16 GB and 32 GB). I had the same problems on earlier 12.x versions and on previous macOS versions.

Bonjour,   Lors de l'ouverture de Lightroom Classic, aucun aperçus n'est généré, que ce soit dans mon catalogue existant ou dans le menu d'importation. un simple carré gris s'affiche à la place de mes photos. Celles ci sont pourtant bien présentes car elles s'affichent en allant sur l'onglet "Développement" et je peux alors les retravailler.   Version 14.0 mais cela se produit depuis la version 13.0 au moins et je ne parviens pas à trouver de solution. Config : AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-Core Processor 4.50 GHz / 32,0 Go de RAM / Chipset graphique RTX3060 12Go dédiés.   Merci pour votre aide !

The Adobe support website says Denoise now it works with TIFFs and JPGs. However, my LR 14.0.1 still says, "Denoise is not currently compatible with this photo format." I've tried several different files of both types. It may or may not be related, but the technology preview Preferences tab has disappeared in this version. M1 MacBook Air, LR graphic processor set to "auto."  Thanks,Russell

Salve, dopo avere dismesso il vecchio pc nel quale era installato LR5 e LR6 , ho acquistato un nuovo pc (win 11) ed ho un problema con la nuova installazione di LR6. LR6 era stato acquistato quale aggiornamento di un precedente LR5.LR5 riesco ad installarlo e ad attivarlo con il proprio numero seriale, nonché ad aggiornarlo all'ultima versione disponibile.Il problema sorge quando tento di installare LR6 con il file che a suo tempo mi sono salvato (Lightroom_6_LS11) con il relativo numero seriale comunicatomi da Adobe.Dopo i vari passaggi di verifica della mia identità il programma si installa, ma non si apre rimandando a continui ed inutili controlli del mio ID.Tutta questa procedura l'ho già ripetuta con successo negli anni passati quando ho avuto la necessità di formattare il pc. 1. LrC  14.0.12. Windows 10 Pro v.22H23. Add masks to image then adjust crop? Hello,Is there a bug with cropped images and masks when exporting from LrC? I ask this because I'm running into this problem.  This is a screen grab from LrC Development workspace. This is the exported image, if I delete the masks it doesn't do this.  

Buenos días,    Desde hace días, no puedo editar fotos en Lightroom Classic para PC.  Cuando las importo desde mi ordenador y me voy a “Revelar”, se queda colgado, no me deja seleccionar ninguna fotografía y finalmente se queda colgado y me sale el siguiente error   No puedo trabajar, y no sé como se puede arreglar, la aplicación está actualizada, según indica en mi cuenta desde hace 18 días, por lo que no parece un tema de actualización.    ¿Alguien más con este problema?, ¿Me podéis ayudar? Hello,Since the recent update, I can not export images without them being color-distorted.  Does anybody know how to fix this?  

Buenas tardes.Me pregunta un compañero si hay forma de recuperar archivos raw y su correspondiente edición borrados desde Lightroom Classic por error. El archivo raw se va a la papelera y basta con restaurarlo y sincronizar la carpeta. Los cambios realizados en el modulo revelar hay alguna forma de recuperarlos o es imposible? Muchas gracias de antemano.

Using a Mac (Monterey -- 12.6):  When I select an image from the Library (or film strip), the image appears in the Print Module, but not PRINT PREVIEW. Then, when I print to either HP or Canon printer, the printer returns a blank page. I tried re-installing Lightroom - same problem. 

Guten TagIch habe ein Problem beim maskieren von Personen.Beim anwählen des Maskierungs Tools steht bei Person "keine Person gefunden" obwohl eine Person auf dem Bild ist. Good day I hope someone can help with this. In Lightroom Layout Style/Picture Package/Print to file, you have to choose a folder for this to save but when you do this it re-numbers all the images with that folder name. I would just like to keep the original image numbering. I have tried numerous ways of file names etc but no change and I really think this option is not available. Anyway around this?  

Since I updated LR Classic the Lens Blur section is completely greyed out.  Doesn't matter if you check apply or not.

I need both computers to be able to access and update the LRC catalogue for the data that sits on our NAS. Onedrive perhaps? Not reallly updating it simultaneously so it would give it time for the changes to come into effect. Anyone else face this issue and came up with a solution?I dont want to it to be on an SSD as I dont wanna plug it in and out all the time. I work between my mac and PC.

Hello, I've a problem with files opened in photoshop from lightroom. Edited and saved (not saved as).the modified file doesn't appear in the lightroom library. I tried synchronising the library but the problem remains.  Lightroom and Photoshop are updated to to the latest version.  Can you help me?

Every time I create a panorama or HDR, the photo is created in a folder, with the same name and path, but in the explorer they appear duplicated. I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried everything and it's hopeless. The cap fix does not work.  

Help! I just downloaded the most recent version of Lightroom Classis (not web based) on my computer and now the presets section is not working at all. When I hover over the preset it shows nothing on the image, when I click on it or double click on it it still does nothing. I have tried to import a preset I bought and this will not work or show the differnt variations in the pull down menu of the pack when I click on that preset pack. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, I have rebooted my computer I have restored all presets to original and still nothing. I have no idea what is going on! and in the middle of the busiest season of the year.......... 

I'm trying to import Fujifilm X-T4 JPG files into Lightroom Classic version 14.0.1 from Dropbox and am getting the "Preview Unavailable for this file" message.  I do this process with two separate MacBooks and it works on one, but not on the other (both running the same version of LRC).  Any suggestions?

Adobe Lightroom Classic 14.0.1Window 11 Home 23H2 fully patched When printing a 16 x 9 ratio horizontal image in landscape orientation on a 19 x 13 in sheet, I set all margins for 0.25 in, the page grid for one row and one column, the cell size width to 16.125 in (which is rounded to 16.13 in the application) and leave the cell size height to the maximum. The resulting printed image is 16.1875 in or 1/16 in larger than the set size. When I set as above with a cell size width of 16 in, the resulting printed image is 16.09375 in or 3/32 in larger than the set size. However, when printing a square image in portrait orientation, set the cell size width to 12.125 in and leave the cell height to the maximum, the resulting printed image is as it should be, 12.125 in square. Interestingly, if I open the 16 x 9 ratio horizontal image in Photoshop 26.0.0 and change the image size width to 16.125 in, the resulting printed image is exactly the same as above at 16.1875 in. While

HI Everybody, I don't know what happened, this is the first time I've encountered this. After importing photos to Lightroom, the image changes as in the attached screenshot. In the Windows browser, the photo looks fine. Some kind of error saving on the camera?A few of the photos in this series are ok. After updating to LRC 13, all my HEIC files turned out totally green. even importing into PS they remain green.   Till using MacIOS Sonoma 14.3, the trick was to reimport as .jpg, but after updating to 14.4 this trick doesn't work any longer.   anyone else with this issue ?    [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

Hi, I need help please.I'm using Lightroom Classic 12.5 with Camera RAW 15.5, on Windows 11.My GPU is ASRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 6950 XT.My CPU is AMD Ryzen 9 5950x and I have 80 GB of RAM installed.All my drivers are up to date, including Windows update.My camera is Sony A7R V, and I'm editing RAW (.ARW) files weighing about 120 MB each.I'm experiencing repeated freezing while editing photos. Lightroom becomes unresponsive for 5-20 seconds every few minutes. Between freezing, it works just fine.  It does not crash. On Edit > Preferences > Performance, 'Full graphic acceleration' is enabled.Under 'System info' it shows Lighroom is using DirectX (and not OpenGL). If I disable 'Use GPU for image processing', and use my CPU for processing, I don't encounter freezing. I have read that forcing Lightroom to use GPU with OpenGL instead of DirectX can possibly resolve this issue, but I couldn't find any way to change that setting under Windows (only Mac, using a
