I recently updated by MAC to Monterey 12.7.6. Since then Lightroom has been incredibly slow. Looking into the problem, I noticed GPU Acceleration was only being applied to the display and not to image processing. This option, in fact, was greyed out. After some research, I did the common 'fix' of deleting the camera raw config GPU .txt file. This did not work, and the option is still greyed out. Below are my specs, please let me know how to fix this issue: Lightroom Classic version: 13.5.1 [ 202408271704-d15d09cd ]License: Creative CloudLanguage setting: en-USOperating system: Mac OS 12Version: 12.7.6 [21H1320]Application architecture: x64Logical processor count: 8Processor speed: 2.2GHzSqLite Version: 3.36.0Power Source: Plugged In, 100%Built-in memory: 16,384.0 MBDedicated GPU memory used by Lightroom: 2.0MB / 1,536.0MB (0%)Real memory available to Lightroom: 16,384.0 MBReal memory used by Lightroom: 830.5 MB (5.0%)Virtual memory used by Lightroom: 37,581.0 MBMemory cache size:
I receive this message when I export RAW file to JPEG file to an external disk: Some export operations were not performed. The file could not be written.I have made the same procedure for 4 years without problems. But today my problems start. It is only possible to export the file to C: Not to other internal or external disks. And I have all permissions to the folders.
Hi!Lately i've been getting many troubles with Lightroom, but one of them is Lightroom Classic won't export all of my photos, leaving out some un-exported with the reason of "Not enough memory" even though i still have some spare memory (definitely enough). I use the current latest version of Lightroom Classic, and was able to use it without any problem, like syncing to Lightroom CC on my phone. This is the full spec of my setup:HP Envy 13Intel Core i7-7500U8GB RAM512GB SSDLatest Windows 10 UpdateI already tried re-exporting, restarting my computer, temporarily disabling ThrottleStop, closing Chrome, and optimizing the catalog. none of them resulted in a 100% exported collection, even though previously i was able to export photos without a problem, no matter how much photo i'm exportingAny kind of help is appreciated, and thanks in advanceCheers
After recently updating lightroom I am now unable to use my adjustment sliders by clicking on them and draging, nothing happens. If i click each side of the slider button it will move or if I click in the adjustment box where the numbers are and slide them up and down adjustment slider moves acordingly. But directly clicking on it and siding it wont move? This must be a bug any sugestions please? [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. I'm really fed up by Adobe's AI priggishness 🤬. And it seems to be getting worse w/ every new update.A few days ago, PS (beta) refused to generatively expand the first picture because "it encountered an issue". Well, no major problem, I know the trick too well by now: copy the layer, select & delete the subject, and magic! now the IA can generate the sides of the umbrella. Restore the "offending subject" and you're all set!But now it's also LR that is getting holier-than-the-Pope, and that's more of a nuisance to me. For example, it does not "find" any person in the last two (unedited) pictures 😳, which means I'm limited to the much less precise "subject" mask 🤦🏻♂.Adobe, please, give me a break! Even any free phone app does! You may like or dislike this kind of pictures, but they're far from pornographic.
My lightroom classic all of the sudden wont open on my mac. Ive tried everything and went to best buy and they said it was on adobes end. Anybody else ever experienced this problem? Im going to try to contact adobe tomorrow, but any suggestions would be appreciated.

I recently upgrated my mac OS to Sequoia and now my Lightroom classic 5 app does not open. Tried rebooting and it did not help. Any ideas on how I can get it to work?Thans so much.
I went to open Lightroom and my Catalog has totally disappeared. Tried searching for the lrcat extenstion and cannot find it anywhere. Have thousands of photos cataloged and really need to find the catalog. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a subscription to Lightroom that is paid up. (Just checked). I can get into the library. However, when I try to get into Develop it states "Develop Module is disabled. Please purchase a subscription or license to reactivate the Develop module." Once I go back into Adobe it states "You already own Photogrqphy plan (20GB)". Why am I being blocked from using Develop? All help will be greatly appreciated!!
Hello, can someone help me here? I've been having problems with the denoising of the images for a few days. LR says denoise is currently incompatible with the photo format. I didn't change anything in the format. As always, I edit the images in RAW. I'm working on a new macbook, have the latest version... haven't changed anything in LR. I can't explain it. I would be grateful for every tip. Many kind regards, Maggi
I have built a 15 000 Euro PC with the best optimized hardware available for Lightroom in the market. But still, Lightroom keeps crashing. Everytime I send a report to Adobe and never received any reply concerning the crash.I have read all the possible articles and watched many videos on Youtube about how to optimize Lightroom and followed them, still LIGHTROOM IS SLOW!It is easy to always lecture about specs and updates, etc... But Adobe really needs to fix this issue of Lightroom and must stop blaming the customers!I have been using the Adobe CC membership at least for the passed 7 years and there always has been an issue with PremierePro, Photoshop or Lightroom! This costs us time and effort!Do something about it or you will keep losing precious customers!
Hello,Since today I have a problem displaying my photos in ARW format for processing in development. the images are noisy. This is the first time. I imported them a while ago and I didn't have this problem. Thanks , if you have the answer
Is it just me or is anyone else getting the same dialog any time they try to boot their copy of ALRC? If I tell it "Not now" it just stops, and if I select "Check System" after about a minute it tells me there are no compatibility issues with my system. OK so why won't it run? [Moved from 'Lightroom ecosystem' forum to 'Lightroom Classic' forum by moderator]
Updated to v13.5.1 and the RAM usage too much. If do intensive task like HDR or Pano, usage jumps by 6GB or so each time. The usage then sits there slowly increasing with a approx 8% CPU usage until it hits about 27GB of my 32GB RAM. It then never releases the memory or caps the usage. LR then slows down and goes very unresposive. Does same thing with and without RTX GPU support. Just had Support Chat / Remote Session and agent investigated everything from GPU, to Catalogue, Cache , Drivers (inc NVIDIA), Window settings etc. But couldnt fix. In end we reverted back to the previous version of LRC and problem was resolved, the RAM usuage stabilising at around 16GB after a few heavy tasks, with no slow background RAM increase or CPU usage. Was told to raise the issue here (rather than support raising a ticket). Needs fix so I can load the latest again and future versions..... I've shot a wedding with 2 cameras and realised they were out of sync so after importing the photos I edited the Metadata capture date in the Metadata menu in LRC. The adjustment worked wonderfully and all my photos from 2 cameras are now in chronological order. The issue I have now is that this is reflected in LRC only but not in the actual files in Finder. I have saved metadata to files AND ensured that the Catalog Settings > Metadata > EXIF > Write Date Or Time Changes Into Proprietary Raw Files has been checked, however nothing is working. Can I write adjusted capture date metadata to ARW Files or do I have to use a different tool? If so, what tool can I use? Note: I have my photos on Sony RAW files and I'm using the latest version of MacOS and LRC to date. Running on a MacBook Pro M2.
Hello, the Metadata panel of LR Classic shows differing entry fields like "Genre" or "Province" depending on the subset I select. I can select subsets such as "Minimal", "Standard", "IPTC", "Ad-hoc". In the Metadata panel, can I HIDE certain entry fields to see only the fields I actually need? For instance I do need fields from the "IPTC" subset, but would love to hide many fields such as "Genre" and all fields about my postal address. If I switch to the "Standard" subset instead, there are less IPTC fields, but there are other fields confusing me or missing, such as the "Town" field. In some search, I didn't find a way to hide individual IPTC entry fields to my liking. My only solution for seeing a compact entry mask is to- start first with the multiple-fields "IPTC" subset and- later continue in the much more compact "Standard" subset. But the "IPTC" subset is too full with fields, and "Standard" is too sparse. Any way to hide fields exactly to my liking? I
I have replaced the c drive on my computer. I was able to have all the files transfered to the new c drive which included a lightroom folder holding all the catalog data. I'm using windows. What is the best way to activate the catalog. When I try to open them in lightroom I don't have any success,
When I open lightroom classic, to perform sorting tasks of the library (around 10,000 photos and videos). Without editing any photo, just viewing it in the library. After a few minutes the computer heats up to the point of firing the fans.Other programs where I can view the same amount of images and videos hardly affect the temperature of the computer, but with Lightroom Classic, it always shoots up.Any idea how I can improve this behavior? The biggest problem is that it drains the battery. hi, because lightroom is terrible, I'm stuck in a mode where the menu bar and all panels have disappeared. To have an interface where this is even possible is just poor and a huge waste of time but for the moment I just need to get back to my main library window. can anyone help? screenshot attachedthanks in advance
I import a new preset in lighroom cc but, sometimes i can not set the amount of the preset. Why the amount adjustment button is not active. [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. A ‘bug’ is not just another word for a software problem!]
Bonjour,Je viens d'installer LRC sur mon nouvel ordinateur sous Windows, comment retrouver mes catalogues, collections et photos notées.Merci
Hi there.I'm new to this Lightroom and Adobe in general, however I have used a couple of other software to work with RAW photos and all of them allowed me to import/export photos while creating a date-based subforlder system. Is it posible to do the same in LrC? If so, how? I can't seem to find anywhere a prompt list or an option to do so, and I would be very grateful to get some advice so i can keep my workflow.
Hi,I've got a Windows 11 i9 laptop with Lightroom Classic 13.5.1 and whilst browsing photos in the Library, Lightroom just closes unexpectedly (no hanging/crashing per-se - and I can then reopen it, albeit it doesn't open at the same place in the Library). Ahead of this happening, the fans are working hard and after Lighroom closes, the fans calm down again. I have an up-to-date graphics card driver and everything else patched to the latest levels. No crash report dialogue box is displayed.Any advice very welcome!Richard.
