Lightroom Classic

Vor etwa 2 Monaten hatte ich Kontakt mit dem Support, weil das Buchmodul nach einem Update nicht mehr funktionierte. Ich installiere in der Regel alle erscheinenden Updates. Mit dem Support hatte ich damals eine 4 stündige Session mit Teamviewer. Er hat einiges im System umgestellt, und das Buchmodul funktionierte danach auch ohne Probleme. Lt. seiner Aussage sollten zukünftig keine Probleme mehr auftauchen.Sind sie aber, und zwar ganz massiv. Zum einen steigt LR immer wieder ohne Vorankündigung aus, startet danach dann aber aber oft an ganz anderer Stelle als zum Zeitpunkt des Abbruchs.  Nun habe ich ein recht umfangreiches Buch gestaltet, und immer wieder links oben in der Ecke einen Fortschrittsbalken mit dem Text"Informationen werden erfasst", besonders dann, wenn man ein Bild in eine Bildbox zog. Der brauchte dann etwa 15 -20 Sek. bis er wieder verschwand, und dann erst sah man das Bild auf der Seite. Das war ein ziemlicher Zeit und Nervenfresser. Dazu dann etliche Abbrüche v

Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1Where is the selection button for "import subfolders" in LR 13.5.1?

New problem crept up since yesterday (2/23/23): Upon opening the Import dialog, Lightroom Classic shows folders under Source but no files whatsoever, not on my harddrive, not on my external drives. Yes, there are image files in those folders but none appear. Intel Mac 2015, OS is Monterey 12.6.3.  Checked Mac system preferences/Security & Privacy/Full Disk Access shows Adobe Lightroom Class has full disk access.  I upgraded Lightroom Classic from 12.1 to 12.2 but the problem remains.  Did an Uninstall then a re-install through the Creative Cloud app.  Reboot computer and application. No joy.  I can export to my drives, so it would seem that it is just the Import module that is broken.  

When I am in LR Classic I cannot find the top bar with my minimize, maximize and close tabs.  Any suggestions on how to get them back.  We are running Win 10

Hallo Zusammen, seit dem Firmware-Update 2.0 auf die Z8 ist kein USB Tethering mit Lightroom mehr möglich.  In LR 13.2 Windows bekomme ich keine Verbindung zu stande.  Im Windows Explorer habe ich Zugriff, und auch mit Camera Control Pro klappt das Tethering. Aktuell forogr. mit Cam. Control Pro in einen von Lightroom automatisch überwachten Ordner – das geht, jedoch ist die Übertragung gefühlt viel langsammer als vor dem Firmware Update und mit LR Tethering Steuerung. Wer hat ähnliche Erfahrungen / kann mir helfen ! Trying to import from memory card to LR. 4000 images on card from a weekend shoot. All large 45 mb files from Canon R5. Not had this issue before. Not doing anything diffently than my normal workflow. Select my folder and have Copy set as my import option as I always do but after hitting the Import icon the screen just says importing images but nothing happens. Progress bar sits at 0%. I've left it for a good hr and still nothing.

Hi i seem to have 100's of backups now on my machine as i have never delted these. Am i correct in thinking i only really need the last one? all edits previously made, colour coding and star rating tc will be catptured in that last one? Also there is a larger file that saves at the same time although it saves in a diffeent folder  quite a large one i suspect i need to keep this?

After transferring lightroom to a new computer, I get and exclamation mark on the thumbnail of all my photos. When I click on the exclamation mark a confirm dialog box appears showing:“There was an unknown error while writing metadata to this photo”.And two options: Import Settings from Disk and Retry Metadata Export.If I click on “import setting from disk”.All this does is change the Metadata status from “unknown” to “Up to date” in the Metadata panel. But in doing this it also removes the info from my metadata preset with my contact information and the import preset setting and the adjustments from the develop module.If I click on “Retry metadata export”. Doing this updates the Metadata status to “Up to date”, and although it does not alter any setting, it does create an xmp sidecar file, which I don’t want.How can I remove this annoying warning on all my files without changing any of my other settings, such as develop, import presets and not have to change every folder and file in i

Hi --- I am using 13.5.1 on my Mac Mini M1 with a 1 TB SSD.   The available space on the drive decreased from 400 GB to 100 GB quickly.  I recall having the same issue about a year ago.   Possibly related to a Forced Quit of  LR which created a very large backup file on the SSD.  I was able to delete the backup. I realize this may not be enough info for a diagnosis.   Please let me know what additional detail is needed to find a solution. Thanks!     

Just updated to LRC 14.0 and wanted to test Apple DNG denoise, something I've been waiting for for so long. And immediately noticed a color shift, well visible in this screenshot (I hope). Sky in the left (original) photo has more blue tones, denoised version is more grey. 

Please add Generative Fill and AI Denoise/Sharpening to LRc as soon as possible.....even as previews!  I had been anticipating these, particularly the sharpening and no need for DNG file and was disappointed when I didn't see in the LRc announcements.  This is GREAT!!!  Can't wait.

LrC 14 introduces an option to display HDR edits with the dual monitor view. However, if the 2nd monitor does not support HDR, Lightroom will display the HDR version anyway and rely on the OS to handle it, rather than displaying the built-in SDR downconversion. This often results in substantial clipping and color shifting, and is also somewhat useless since this isn't a representation a viewer/client would ever see in most cases. Disabling HDR in library will make the 2nd monitor properly display Lightroom's SDR conversion, but now you can't view HDR in the library on your HDR-capable main monitor! Ideally, Lightroom Classic should be able to detect that HDR is only enabled on the primary monitor and display the built-in SDR conversion on the 2nd monitor view System details: Win 10 24H2, Nvidia RTX 3080 10GB, driver v565.90

this might be a bit of a long shot, but hey - lets try. I shot a timelapse sequence using holy grail method. I ran those dng files through LRTimelapse 4.8.3 (a little outdated, I know). I use LRT to write xmp filesto balance exposure spikes. I do not use keyframes to adjust the look. SO more like a technical grade. Back in LR Classic I read "metadata from file" for all photos. After waiting for thumbs to refresh you can see that you have an equalized image sequence in LR. Now i want to export dng with those xmp changes applied. Like how I see it in the UI. But that does not work. Reading that exported sequence into a different application and comparing it to the original seq shows, that no changes are applied. Any idea if that can be accomplished?I want to stay in dng to bypass color management found in other file formats. My goal is to export exrs in a secondary step from another application. 

I do not like or appreciate the new LrC Catalog upgrade screen. Not one bit. Supposedly an improvement in workflow. In fact quite the composite. This starting at v14.0. I did the upgrade to 14.0 for Lightroom Classic and no it will not finish the backup when exiting. Get the message during the compression that it can't finish it. Tried twice and on different drives with plenty of space left. I am always signed in as administrator. Any thoughts Adobe?   Richard richard@mackphoto.com

Is it possible to apply a preset to a mask selection?

Since two weeks or so my always stable Lightroom has become very slow. More specifically, it works ok for the first 20 min., and then becomes so slow at any operation that I have to restart it. Nothing has changed in the system (maybe except regular Windows patches). Latest NVidia drivers didn't help.  Not sure how to reproduce this so that you can see the slowness. Lightroom Classic 13.5.1High end PC (i7, 64 GB of RAM, SSD)Windows 10 22H2, version 19045.5011.

Adobe Lightroom 4 is annoyingly creating a directory in ~/Documents on Mac OS X. For example: /Users/smith/Documents/Adobe. Contained within this Adobe directory is an empty directory named "dynamiclinkmediaserver". This is an inappropriate place to create files or directories of this nature. OS X has other directories that can and should be used for settings, preferences, temporary files, and others of similar nature.These two directories are created every time that Lightroom 4 is launched, even after deletion. Please avoid creating these directories in ~/Documents and put them somewhere else in future patches and versions of Lightroom. I look forward to this annoyance being squashed. Saludos, desde hace unos días cuando uso lightroom y la reducción de ruido por IA que siempre iba bien, ahora muchas veces me pone un pixel grande de color rosa en la fotografia y no deja corregirls ni revertir. Alguien sabe a que se debe?orregir ni revertir, se pierde la foto por que se estropea. Ya no se que hacer para que esto no ocurra.

Na versão 14, quando coloco alguma mascara no fundo por exemplo, e regulo as cores e mando sincronizar , nao sincroniza ae tenhoq ue ir em foto por foto e pedir para atualizar, na versao antiga não tinha esse problema. Quando peço para sincronizar poucas fotos 5 por exemplo tem hora que sincroniza, mas quando peço mais fotos não sincroniza, tenhoq ue fazer foto por foto, afff Ryzen 3800X, 64 Ram SSD + HD, windows 10

MacOS 11.3 Big SurLightroom Classic 10.4MacBook Pro 2013 I've created a small test slideshow three 1080p videos and a few images.  I use the built in Widescreen template for the slideshow.  I am expecting that an exported video of the slideshow would show the 1080p videos filling the screen. When I play the slideshow, the videos are surrounded by black areas instead of being displayed full width.  When I export the slideshow to video at 1080p, the videos appear about half the size of the 1080p video screen, surrounded by even larger black areas than when the slideshow is played live.  If I use the standard Export... feature of Lightroom to export one of the videos to 1080p H264, it fills the 1080p export screen as expected.  I've attached screenshots below of the various views of the video being played and exported. There is no difference if "Zoom to Fill" is chosen, and no difference if the GPU is enabled or disabled. How can I get the vide

I cannot seem to erase a simple black text (without a background) on many png files I downloaded from Kittl.  All I want to do is just erase the text on one image in the Develop module, and then use the "Sync" button with all of the images in the Filmstrip at the bottom of LR to replicate the same task.  I've tried a few different approaches to do so without any success for something that should be easy.  Can anyone help me?  (I think Adobe added some features I haven't used before such as this, and now I'm lost.) Thanks!
