Lightroom Classic

Since upgrading to 13.2 or thereabouts, all the keywords I add to my photos (like tagging people through face recognition, or using suggested/recent keywords) ignore the hierarchical structure I had set up and are added to 'root' instead.   Has anyone experienced this?

Hello, I want to install brushes in LR classic. Looking to Preset - All other LR presets. Short a black frame appears thats all. I cannot find folder 'Local Adjustment Presets'

I have recently had a problems with DNG and Fujifilm raw files imported into Lightroom from different SD cards, from different cameras.  In the Library module the images look normal, bit once opened in the Develop module the files look corrupted.   I thought it was just with recent files uploaded, but if I go back and open other images that were successfully edited some time ago the same thing happens. I can open the files in Apple Photos and successfully edit them, so I suspect it is something to do with Adobe Lightroom rather than the raw files themselves.  If I open the files in Adobe Camera Raw I get the same corrupted view. Running Lightroom Classic v 13.4 on a MacBook Pro (Last Intel version), files held separately on a hard drive. I'm not sure how to say it.  Theres a super short video attached if you aren't riding your buggy on my trail from the explanation that follows. The circumference of a radial mask usually has a black marker and a smaller black circle inside showing the feather area. Linear gradients usually have 3 black lines denoting the center and boundaries. They can be moved or resized. I'm not getting anything but the red overlay when I place a mask. This is what I get for a day now. Restarted LRC, restarted creative cloud, checked for updates. Nothing has fixed it. So while I can see a red overlay, everything else is a guess and if I don't happen to magically lay out the mask boundaries perfectly despite not seeing them, I have to delete it and start again since there's no black lines. I've attempted clicking in the places the lines would be and nothing happens. I'm on the LRC 11.3.1Windows 10i7 7700 3.6ghz32g ram1Tb SSD250G SSD1 Tb HDDNvidia 1070

Hello everybody, I am running a late version of Lightroom Classic on my M3 MBP. I made a stupid mistake the other night and accidentally created a hitch in my backup system to where I was using Carbon Copy Cloner. I recently got some new SSD drives, my Carbon Copy Cloner task menu was full of old things so I decided to delete everything old.Well, I accidentally made a boo-boo, and I will chalk it up to exhaustion, so I took my Lacey rugged 2 TB SSD, which is one of my two drives and is currently my primary working drive, which I back up to a 2 TB scan extreme when I created the new Carbon Copy Cloner profile accidentally copied the back up onto what is supposed to be my primary drive long story short I went and tried to fix things messed it up. I decided to rename the drive and correct everything. It says my main drive has 668 GB of space left on it. I just tried to download a memory card with 25 photos of the sunset I took. Hi there,I am new to lightroom. I am currently learning how to use lightroom using you tube videos.I don't seem to be able to find File Handling and New Metadata Preset. Does anyone know how to find them?Thanks Tiger 

How to fix this Error? I not able to reduce noise with AI. My computer is 2014 MacBook Air,  the "Super Resolution" can be done, but AI denoise can't.Hope somebody can help me, thank you so much.

Following the release of Lr Classic 13.3 I have a potential bug that i cannot understand.  If i import a Nikon NEF raw file Lightroom applies Process Version 6 to it.  If i send the same file through DXO PureRaw 4 and then import the resulting DNG file into Lr Classic it applies Process Version 5. Not sure if this is a LrC or DXO issue but i cant remember it happening before the 13.3 update.

When activating DeNoise in LRcc on a NEF image, DeNoise goes through the motions and finishes.  However the DeNoised image does not show up.  Screen says 'no image'. If I restart LRcc then the DeNoised image shows up. I have uninstalled LRcc and reinstalled.  Otimized LRcc and every other thing I can think of. I tried usings Topaz Photo AI with the same result as above. There were also times that Relmove Photo would not allow removal. when restarting however the images were in the trash can. I am flumoxed! Any help appreciated. LRcc and MacOS all up to date.

For the first time using Lightroom, I have that little red button that says my AI masks need updating. I have tried various ways to update them, including ctrl alt U, and nothing works. It won't copy and paste my workflow suddenly. I deleted the presets and reloaded them and tried again- nothing. I reset preferences- nothing. I have the newest version, updated on 08/05/2024 (version 13-4).  Operating on Windows 10. Thanks

Lr Classic does not show black or white clipping on images taken with Nikon Z50 and Nikkor 18-140 mm lens. It does show clipping on Z50 images taken with the 16-50mm and 50-250mm kit lenses. Is this a known issue or undocumented "feature"? Is there some workaround that I don't know?

Hi, I know that I can load JPEGs into the catalogue either as sidecars or as separate files. My question is somewhat different.I like to load them as separate files; sometimes I like to do a JPG slideshow or to compare the JPG to the RAW. Anyway, my concern is flagging, rating, and tagging photos. With two versions of each image (RAW + JPEG) in the catalogue, it seems like I have to flag, tag, etc. each file separately. Is there a way to jointly tag the two versions of an image (RAW and JPEG) at once? Thanks for any suggestions.

I have a shared collection in Lightroom Classic v13.4 that have comments from several people. I filtered the collection using @john beardsworth's plugin called AnyFilter, and then created a new shared collection from those images, so my team can further narrow down their final selections. The issue I've run into is that the commments they added in the original collection are not preserved in the newly created collection. Is there a way to fix this or copy these comments to the new collection?

Please help. When I opened LR yesterday, most of my 72,000 photos had somehow been moved from hundreds of folders in my catalog into one large folder called All Photographs. See attached jpg. The photos have not been physically moved on my hard drive. They remain in their respective folders and subfolders, but in LR they “appear” to have been moved. This doesn’t seem like the usual unlinking problem since there are no grayed out numbers for the photos that should be in each folder. Instead the many folders in question indicate 0 photos. Also, my edits from the Develop module do appear to be intact.  This all started after auto update to version 13.4. I uninstalled that version and reverted back to 13.3 but the problem persists. I have also tried opening my backup catalogs, but the same thing happens. How do I return my photos to their proper folders? System info is below. Guten Morgen in das Forum, hier habe ich bereits einige Fehlerbeschreibungen und Lösungshinweise gefunden, leider jedoch keines, welches bei meinem Problem weitergeholfen hat.   Eine kurze Problembeschreibung:   Nach einem Rechnerwechsel habe ich die alte SSD-Festplatte in den neuen Rechner eingesetzt. Das hat gut funktioniert, die Platte wurde erkannt, mit Windows 10 gebootet usw. Auch die Nachregistrierung wie bspw. MS-Office, aber auch Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design&Web Premium funktionierten problemlos.   Lediglich die Nachregistrierung LR Classic 6.x schlug unter Windows 10 mit dem Fehler fehl, dass der Browser aktualisiert werden müsse. ALLE Browser sind jedoch aktuell.   Kurzerhand habe ich Windows 11 installiert. Nun ließ sich nach Eingabe der Seriennummer Lightroom wieder aktivieren, aber: Lightroom startet kurz, dann schließt sich der Bildschirm ohne weitere Hinweise sofort wieder.   Ziehe ich den LAN-Stecker und kappe die Internetverbindung, läs

Redirecting an ealier, related discussion that ended up on the above topic.  That said, I'm finally looking at cloud storage options to supplement my current laptop HD plus two external SSDs (the often recommended 3-2-1 solution).  I've been reading multiple online reviews, and Backblaze, Carbonite, and iCloud seem to keep bubbling up to the top.  I've also searched this forum, but much of the discussion on this topic seems somewhat dated.  I know this is like asking what's the best car out there, so I'll preface that I just need a solid, trusted, basic cloud backup service for my photos (about 2TBs of space) that keeps everything updated in the background.  I'm running LrC on a W11 machine (and drive a Honda) if that makes a difference.

I have a very big catalogue, and basically all my pictures should be in at least one collection. But sometimes I forget to make an assignment after import, and then it is quite difficult to identify these pictures later. Also copies that are created by editing in external apps are not automatically assigned to a collection even if the original picture was assigned.It would be a perfect solution to create a smart collection for these cases, but I still could not figure out, if/how it is possible to create such a smart collection.

Hi I was importing raw files to my computer and lightroom gave me the following error message: The following files were not imported because their paths contain backlashes. Unfortunately I did not have a second card in my camera so no backup. The card was corrupt. Trying to figure out if I can still save the images. I did manage to drag them out of the sd card and into my desktop - but cannot trasnfer them or do anything with them. Before I contact my client to see how I can make this right with them (for worst case scenario) does anyone have a solution for me? Thank you (Trying not to panic).   {Thread renamed by moderator}
