For sound reasons (not least Windows on ARM support), Adobe has chosen to implement Sony tethering via Sony's Camera Remote Command documentation rather than the Sony Camera Remote SDK. The latest version of the Sony Camera Remote Command documentation details how to access Sony cameras over PTP-IP, not just (USB) PTP as currently supported in Lightroom Classic. The tethering commands are the same, so most of the work is already done; the only remaining step is to add support for IP transport. Please consider adding PTP-IP tethering for Sony cameras in a future version of Lightroom Classic. This would not only allow users to ditch their USB cables for studio tethering, but also to tether networked cameras that are remote from the computer running Lightroom Classic, including cameras installed with network connectivity in difficult-to-reach locations such as high above a sports stadium. A further advantage of supporting PTP-IP tethering is that the need for Windows
The UI of my Focus-Points plugin comprises different elements for displaying images and text, as well as buttons and links. To allow operation using keyboard shortcuts, there is a 'hidden' edit field with tiny dimensions that records keyboard input and uses a validate() function to interpret and process shortcut characters. It is possible to mix mouse and keyboard operation of interactive controls (except for using the TAB key), but when clicking any non-interactive control (e.g. static_text) the edit_field loses focus. I have tried different ChatGPT suggestions (wrap non-interactive controls in a spacer or attach mouse_down functions that consume clicks) but none of them worked. Is this a matter of fact and a limitation of the SDK, or does anyone know of a way around it?
LR Classic 15.0.1 running in MacOS 15.6.1i have around 14,000 photos listed in the Missing Photos folder.. Only they aren't missing. View in any other way and no ? Shows to indicate missing folder. Open in Develo and they are there. View in folders and they are there. Right click on them while in missing folders, select show in fo,der and they are there. All accessible via collections and smart collectionsSoall seems to be as normal except for the listing under Missing Photos.Any suggestions on how to resolve? Might have somehow got triggered by running LR without my NAS connected. But ensuring NAS is connected and restating LR doesn't clear the list.
Using the crop tool on 100's of photos has become very painful and slow now and I can't see a way to get Lightroom to auto select the crop tool when going between photos. Before I'd select the Crop overlay in Develop module (pressing R). It would automatically select the Crop Frame Tool and the shot was locked. So I'd click and drag crop frame - done, Ctrl + right key (next photo), click drag to crop, Ctrl + right.... etc repeat 500 times... Now I have to click the click and drag the handles around the frame (or click the crop frame tool - then crop). It may not sound like much, but when doing 100's and sometime 1000's of photos that extra step really adds time.ChatGPT says that it was never a thing to have the crop frame tool always selected in crop mode, but I've had Lightroom for a number of years. How to get it back?I currently have Lightroom 15.0.1 on a Win 11 machine.
B. an Adobe Stock.
I have a huge collection of photos up on adobe's server as a long time user of Lightroom CC. Now that Lightroom Classic CC has been added to my plan I decided to try it. It took 4 days to download my photos. I though maybe this was a result of adobe servers configuration not to use too much bandwidth. Then I discovered Lightroom Downloader is much, much, much faster. This is apparently a known bug as searching for itI came across multiple Reddit posts telling the same experience and it has also been going on for quite a while. Is there any chance the software itself becomes as fast as the downloader? Another big problem for me is, at the moment, the fact the imported photos folder is not taking creating the same structure as my Lightroom library (I carefully divided photos by events, month and year). I know the operation would make it difficult to create album folders for albums taking photos from composite albums (meaning by that albums that are composed of different photos
Buenas noches. Gracias.
My RAID array takes a little time to settle down and announce itself to MacOS. When LRc restarts Automatically at reboot, my RAID array restarts, but it is not available. If LRc is automatically restarted, upon restart it takes note. Later on, long after the array has announced and is properly mounted, LRc cannot open any files on it. I must shut LRc down and restart it. REQUIRED FIX: When I click on a directory in LRc, it needs to refresh its content cache. That will surely burn a millisond or two, but that's considerably less time than a quit+ restart LRc sequence. To test (I'm guessing here): 1. Install a USB file system that takes a while to stabilize (e.g. a RAID array)2. use LRc to access some of the files on the array3. rig the system so both the FS and LRc will be started at reboot4. reboot the system5. wait for the slow FS to be fully mounted and accessible6. try to access the files you accessed earlier using LRcIt should be possible to see the file(s) via
Sometimes photos are not synched. But which and why? Here are round about 700 phtotosto synch and the synch is stopped at any time. No errors, no infos why.
Lightroom Classic won't backup catalog on Dell 8960 desktop. It gets to "Copying Catalog" and stalls. If I click on Cancel it tells me it's cancelling but doesn;t. The only way out is Task Manager "End Task"
#CopySettings#Settings I use "copy settings" for an image and paste them to another. But then, when I want to process an indivisual image and try to mask it (ANY mask - sky, subject, etc.), it creates a mask from the previous "copy settings". Even though I do NOT have "masking" checked in the copy dialogue.I've not found a way to get rid of that "memory" other than to exit LR. I've gone back to the source image, deleted all the masks, copy/pasted those settings, and it still introduces the ghost settings. This behavior also happens with the noise reduction function.
Hello everyone, I'm experiencing an issue with Lightroom Classic that I hope someone can help me with. After launching the application, it closes unexpectedly. I've already tried installing different versions of Lightroom Classic, but the problem persists. I've attached a screenshot of my computer specifications, and everything seems to be more than capable of running Lightroom Classic smoothly. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or has suggestions for troubleshooting, I would greatly appreciate your assistance! Thank you in advance for your help! {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
This shouldn't be this hard. I used to know how to find which version of LrC is installed. But I can't find that information anywhere. Any suggestions?TY Windows 11LrC 14.5.1
Hello, I am experiencing an issue where Lightroom Classic version 15.0.1 cannot utilize all graphics processor options ("Use GPU for display", "Use GPU for image processing", "Use GPU for Export") concurrently. When one option is selected, the others become grayed out (mutually exclusive), preventing full GPU acceleration despite the GPU being recognized in the system info.My system information is as follows:System Configuration:Lightroom Classic Version: 15.0.1 [ 202511041508-dddee541 ]Operating System: Windows 11 - Business Edition (Version: 11.0.26200)Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080Driver Version: 32.0.15.9144Installed Memory (VRAM): 15.5 GBCPU: 3.6GHz (24 cores)Built-in memory: 64 GB RAMObserved Behavior in Preferences > Performance:When "Use GPU for Export" is checked, "Use GPU for display" and "Use GPU for image processing" are disabled (grayed out). This forced exclusivity prevents "Full graphics acceleration" from working as exp
I currently have 100s of folders of photos from different shoots that were initially on my internal drive but then moved to my multiple external drives, and I had to update the location in Lightroom every time I wanted access to one of them. Well now I may for the sake of better organization, buy one big external drive to put all of those folders in but I realized that's going to re break the locations in Lightroom and I'll have to do that for all of them again. Is there any way around this? The one thing I have going for me is for example my H: has a folder Pictures, then under that say 2015, 2016, 2017 etc until that drive is done. I: has Pictures then under that is 2018, 2019 etc. you got the idea. So if on this new big one I use the same structure of Pictures and under it is every year, could I just locate the Pictures folder to fix ALL of them at once? And if I do that will Lightroom crawl to a halt trying to process reconnecting 10s of 1000s of photos? Am I overthinking that
I just upgraded from Lightroom 6.10 to Lightroom Classic 15.0.1 and my main catalog did not upgrade correctly. I'm getting the error " Lightroom encountered problems trying to update the format of the catalog file and cannot use this catalog in this version of Lightroom. I'm running an older i7 4770 PC 16GB RAM with Windows 10 22H2 which I believe meets the system requirements from Adobe. I've tried to upgrade my current catalog without success and also created a new catalog and tried to import from my current catalogue but that also failed. My catalog is 5GB tied to 7,000 photos and stored on a second internal HD which is separate from my boot OS drive where LR installed. I did successfully update an older small Lightroom 4 catalog so I'm thinking there are issues with my larger catalog. The catalog has been optimized, and as far as I know, there are no corruption issues. Any suggestions to help get my main catalog u
Even after updating Lightroom Classic to 15.0.1, running on Windows 11, I still cannot read many of my video files (testing with AVI and MP4). In a previous version (probably a few months ago), I had no problems with these files. All other video programs I have tried can display these files without problem. E.g., Premiere Pro 2025, After Effects 2025, (Windows) Media Player, VLC media player, all have no difiiculty reading any of the video files. Are others encountering these problems? If not, how do I troubleshoot this?
How long will it take for DJI and Lightroom to create a camera profile for the DJI Mavic 4 Pro?

I have been having this issue for a while now, as I batch edit, when I go to copy and paste my edits to my other culled photos, it takes hours to do so, making it almost unusable as this is just a ridiculous amount of time. I edit off of a sandisk 2T hard drive with my catalog being stored on there as well. I have the most up to date lightroom classic version and have already upgraded my catalog as well, everything has been up to date. I have two computers I have tried with the same issue, one being 2023 Macbook pro m2 chip and the other being the mac mini (I can't remember the exact year at this moment but it's somewhere around 2021 ish). I went in and changed some preference settings as well with no help; camera raw cache size 10 gig or more, smart previews instead of originals, generate previews in parallel off, use graphic processor off, and replace embedded previews by standard previews during idle time on as I have seen this in other articles here on Adobes page. I really have no
For years i have been printing to my large format HP z9+ from Lightroom Classic with ease. I recently purchased a Mac Studio and upgraded to latest mac ios. Attempting to print today i experienced a brand new issue: using a custom .icc profile for printer and paper as i always do i click on "Print Settings" button to access the Lightroom print dialog menu however Lightroom opens the generic mac print menu instead. Needless to say printing from this mac menu results in horrible, useless prints. I'm stumped as to how to get Lightroom to present its menu again. any hints? Thanks Ken Mendocino, CA
