Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

I would like to see in an upcoming update artificial intelligence options for quick editing of entire albums, just like there is in imagen-ai or aftershot, in which they analyze the latest editions in the catalog and create a personalized profile.

The only thing missing I find is to be able to rename the photos that are imported into the Lightroom Classic app on a tablet tablet. This would be amazing, especially when travelling or on the go, when the only device I bring with me is my tablet, not the whole desktop computer. 

It needs a change. We authors of photographic content uploading it to Lr Community need an option for users to have chance to comment on your photos. Add commenting option; this should have been done by now.How is possible smart people working at Adobe company didn't think of it until now.    

Okay, so I'd like to suggest a few things: To make the rotation tool(and about every other slider) more precise on the phone, as it tends to "jump" when I release the touchscreen, which makes the edition process a hassle.  Including a central cross for cropping, to make it visually easier to balance the picture. And also include other grids, as the actual is too limiting on a creative point of view. I'd like to also report a small bug where when I export a photo, it sometimes saves older versions of it, not the last edit.   Thanks for your time, and consider those improvements for the community!

HiPlease add an auto crop or Ai powered auto crop to Lightroom on iPad.

I frequently upload photos to my WordPress blog. The photos are displayed one after another. Lightroom (Lr) works with a "left-right" photo navigation. After editing, the photos are exported (with the file name structure maintained, e.g., photo _001, _002, etc.). When arranging photos on the blog, they are usually sorted by file names. Sometimes, this leads to funny or mismatched combinations, such as a photo showing the top half of a person followed by a photo of someone else's hands. To fix this, I have to go back to Lr, renumber the photos, and upload them again. If there was a "BLOG" view in Lr, I could scroll and arrange the photos appropriately within the program itself.

While editing images I often use the mouse wheel to scroll between edit panels. This has become more important with the advent of HDR - the "Light" panel is now quite long if you are using Curve and SDR settings. The problem is that, if the mouse pointer is just slightly outside the edit panels and you don't notice, moving the wheel takes you to another image. This is infuriating when you are focussed on what you are doing  - it breaks the flow.   I would much prefer it if operating the mouse wheel while editing did not navigate to another image. The cursor keys provide this functionality anyway, and they reliably move one image at a time - moving the mousewheel may move any number of images depending on how far you move it, so you end up on a random image. I don't think using the wheel to navigate between photos while editing adds useful functionality, but for me it has a big downside.   If there is evidence that people often move between images with the mouse wheel whi

The Geometry/perspective correction tools like Upright on Lightroom desktop are critical for architecture photography in particular. These tools should also be available on mobile platforms like iPadOS.

I think a fantasic feature would be a Generative AI Fill Flash. This would be subject detection, then producing a fill flash effect on the subject.  Bonus points if you can opt in to adding catch lights to eyes and "brighten" them up. Mirrorless cameras have great dynamic range and some don't come with a built in flashes (Nikon Z6 and up).  I rarely use my external flash due to the dynamic range of my Nikons and many venues don't allow flashes. However, it is teadious to do subject detection then tweak the light settings. I think this feature would be like a "digital" flash.

I'd love to see the following improvements for the App version on iPad (probably similiar in the other cloud versions): 1. Selecting/Deselecting images. e.G. "X" to mark an image for delete, it would be nice to klick it again so the function gets undone same for selected images.   2. In the Image Grid-Overview when I select multiple images I cannot apply "X" the to delete setting, i have to do it one by one.    3. Batchexport of framing & edit reply's. I love the framing export as well as the reply generation, problem: i have to do it one by one and can't do a batch export. I don't understand   4. Export with frame & Signature. For now I can only export an image with a frame but no way applying my signature, means I have to reimport it and export it again, this is quite inconvenient.    5. HDR post to community I love the HDR function and I also use the SDR rendering if it can't be displayed, but all these edits are for naught when trying to s

I like to do multiple version of a photo, but I often keep the more normal shot applied. If I want to share one of these versions I have to go through the process of: 1. Opening the photo 2. entering edit mode 3. applying the version 4. share it 5. switch back to my preferred library version   A suggestion I have is that for photos with named versions add some sort of expander feature that can be opened and collapsed. Think like the expander arrow on folders. It would allow easy access to those versions, while allowing you to also maintain a clean looking library. It would also provide a visual reminder that you have saved versions of a photo. 

It's very inconvenient to have to activate/ deactivate the filter button (stars and the three options (bad / neutral / good) every time. Why not suggest a gesture to access it. It would save us a lot of time. It means we don't have to sort and then retouch... whereas many people (like me) like to sort AND retouch at the same time.  

I use LR Cloud-based mostly as a consultation and searchable image database for a company. So all the editing work like copyrighting, captioning, keywording, star rating, flagging... is done LR Classic then uploaded to LR Cloud. And it seems these 2 LR apps were not built by the same guys ! Metadata fields are very limited on LR Cloud. Also the search does not look into the copyright field, so I cannot display pictures by the author. The search by keywords (added in LR Classic) works fine with 3 terms, from 4 terms it starts to bring up images unrelated to the search. And if I return some pics - edited in LR Cloud - to their base (LR Classic), a change in the caption field is embedded, but any star rating change or flag change, is not ! Annoying... Plus, why don't you guys also add the color labels in LR Cloud? And, most ideally, if the exact same Keyword Hierarchy as in Classic could be created and worked upon on the Cloud, that would be most welcome too.

In addition to seeing the grid, I would like to also be able to view my images at full size prior to import.  I don't want to waste the upload time or storage space on photos that I don't want to keep. The larger size helps if you are already viewing your uploads on a small screen.  If you have several similar images it will be easier to figure out which one you want to keep.

I provide captioned photos to my editorial clients. A shoot may share the location and event info, in the caption, and different photos may have different people/subjects that need to be identifiable with their names. I can do that in Lightroom Classic. But in Lightroom Cloud based the "Caption" field is only one line. Making coping pasting a paragraph of text with the event info on the whole shoot and typing the sujects' names really hard. It does not allow checking fro line breakes either. Most editorial photographers need to provide captions that describe what/where/who and include the photographer's name for the credit in the caption field. Unexplicably the "Caption" box in LR is only one line. I understand that for the "Title"  field, that is usually just one line/headline. "The recent LRC 13.3 update has been problematic for me, with terribly slow and buggy performance. Adding left/right swiping to navigate back and forward in Adobe Lightroom on mobile devices would greatly enhance the user experience and streamline the editing workflow. With a swipe gesture, users could effortlessly move back saving time and reducing the need for trying to tap the backwards arrow, which can be missed requiring additional taps to get back. This interaction would provide a fluid and natural way to navigate, empowering users to focus more on their creative process and make quick adjustments on the go. It's all about convenience and efficiency, making editing in Lightroom a seamless and enjoyable experience for mobile users.

I store tens of thousands of images in the cloud using Lightroom CC and have also made a local copy using Lightroom CC.  I used a plugin with Adobe Bridge 2024 to write each image's filename to the IPTC Title Field (so that each image can be identified in my Adobe Portfolio website) and now want to sync the local copy metadata changes back to the colud files.  Adobe support told me this is not possible so I am posting it as a suggested addition because certain Bridge plugins allow mass metadata changes that are not possible to make image by image.

I would like to be able to rename individual image file names when offline in Lightroom.

In LR for iPad and also the one for iPhone, thumbnails are blurry when zoomed to larger thumbnails.  Is there a way to get it to render the larger thumbnails to maximum resolution?

It is strange that LR on iPad can show camera settings in the top left corner, but the macOS version can't. And there's certainly space for it, much more than on the iPhone.  Also, what is the point of having stars and ratings when you can't see them in the filmstrip? There needs to be a view option which turns all of this view settings on and off.    Also, slightly apart from the topic, but it's very buggy when I stary searching while in fullscreen view on Mac. Then I can't remove the focus from the search bar and my shortcuts don't work anymore (they are typed instead of triggered). I have to exit fullscreen and go back in. Note this is the Mac fullscreen mode when the whole app is in full screen, rather than LR's fullscreen when you have pressed the F key. 

I would like to request that Adobe put the auto advance feature in Lightroom as it is in Lightroom Classic. I miss this feature when "picking" and "rejecting" photots.

DESCRIPTION:   I would like to be able to select which preset is applied when importing images into LR on iPad.  Currently this is an option in "app settings" only in the LR iPadOS app.    This would be similar to the implementation in LrC where there is an option to select a preset in the import dialog in the  "Apply During Import" section.   BENEFIT: The benefit is that we would be able to select which preset (e.g. to reflect different cameras / noise reduction settings / film simulations, or for B/W vs color) to apply at the time of importing new images.  Having this option in the import dialog box avoids having to go into "app settings" for each image import.

Right now, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic lets you assign a thumbnail image (or a frame) to a video, but Lightroom (the cloud version) doesn't have this feature. It would be really helpful for organizing my videos and my family if Lightroom could do this too. I think it would be a great addition to the app, and hopefully, it can be added in a future update.
