I am using Lightroom Desktop (cloud-based) on macOS 26.6 (Apple silicon).GoalCreate a local backup of the original RAW files for approximately 13,000 cloud photos.Steps to reproduce1. I have just migrated my desktop lightroom classic catalogue to lightroom cloud and think I've made a big mistake. I've lost the album and referencing system for the photos remaining on the desktop. Is there a fix for this please? I have managed with collections and folders on the desktop with Lightroom Classic for over 10 years, and never had significant issues apart from speed with large catalogues. I have now take the plunge and gone to lightroom on the cloud thinking that everything would be synced across all devices, but now see that only the folder view remains on the desktop, and this does not replicate the cloud view of albums (previously collections) . It is also taking an inordinate amount of time doing the first sync . I have a fairly high spec desktop but it is going at a snails pace. Is there a work round for replicating the album structure from cloud to device without having to re- download everything that has been uploaded? Any ideas please? Or is there a good manual avai

Right now, if my display isn’t 1000 nits or whatever, HDR highlights above the available headroom are simply clipped, which makes the image look ugly.I can understand why this might be useful in Edit mode for a more “accurate” view, but in View mode I think the image should be tone-mapped to fit the display.Interestingly, Lightroom for web already works this way: when viewing pictures, the highlights are properly compressed (at least on Chrome), while Edit mode looks the same as the native apps and remains clipped.It would be nice to be able to properly view HDR photos on displays that don’t have a bazillion nits of brightness, including EDR iPads and MacBooks (and other displays) at high brightness, where the available HDR headroom can be quite small.

Large, high-res screens are obviously great for photography but the text on the panels does get quite small in the process.  For the most part the small fonts are not an issue, however when it comes to the exposure and related data it’s helpful to see that information at a quick glance.  To this end I offer the following as an alternate way to display that information so the numbers are larger and easier to view at a glance.  It also has the side benefit of requiring less vertical space.  

There used to be an edit replay feature that showed your edits from start to finish and made a nifty little video. It also provided Lightroom with free advertising. Win/win.

I am using the same cRAW files I used prior to updating to Tahoe iOS, and it just doesn’t work now. I thought it just needed more time to clear up photo, but that does not seem to be the case.

The metadata overlay that’s available in both LrC and on the iPad is fabulous and it would be a great addition to the LR desktop.  Ideally it would show the exposure and lens data along with the flag status and stars rating. 

The ability to toggle between the original image and the modified one using the “\” key is invaluable.  Similarly, it would be amazing if you could easily toggle between before and after the last change without having to do keyboard gymnastics.

I use the autorotate feature in the crop mode all the time.  It would be even better if there was a keyboard shortcut that adjusted the image similar to how Shift-A applies auto-settings so the task is even quicker/easier to do.

I’ve been using Lightroom since the Windows public beta prior to the v1.0 release.   Now I rely on the LR Mac desktop app (not LrC) with 65,000 images in my catalog.  As a retired software product manager, I’m always thinking about ways to improve application usability.  Given that, I’ve attached an assemblage of minor enhancements I hope you'll consider for future releases of the desktop app.Thank you, Steve www.luceeparole.it

I had cloud storage exceeded on Lightroom mobile which stopped me from downloading / editing new photos. After deleting a large selection of photos, still the name issue. I thought that they might be in a deleted section somewhere. I connected to Adobe on my PC and found the deleted files. I permanently deleted them all, which should technically free up some space. But even after waiting for 2+ days on WiFi to let it sync, I still have the same issue. Can someone help ? 

Arrowing through a number of images suddenly this image was overlayed with the previous one. Restarting Lightroom Desktop 9.3 on my MacBook Pro M2 Pro did not fix this. I was able to use the Versions tab to revert the image. Then I started arrowing through again and a minute later the same thing happened to a different image. At the time I wasn’t processing anything heavy on my MacBook, but the fan was running pretty fast so something was going on. A few minutes later and I now can’t duplicate the issue.  

I can't get Lightroom mobile desktop to accept my MP4 or MOV movies. Lightroom classic excepts movie formats, why doesn't Lightroom mobile?

Hello,I created my Adobe account in February 2023.I can still see two photos that I edited in 2023 in my Lightroom account.However, I edited many more photos recently using the same Adobe account. Unfortunately, my Android phone was reset, and after signing in again, all of my recent edited photos are missing.Could you please check whether my recent photos or edits are stored in Adobe Cloud? If possible, please help me recover them.Thank you.
