Who had the great idea of Gen-Z-ing this? With the new Photoshop-Update it is terrible to “act” on my actions. IT IS OVERBLOWN!!! WHO THOUGHT THIS IS A GOOD IDEA??? It used to be easy to click on/off parts of my actions that I’ve programmed (which is such a cool feature from you guys! Love it!) . Now you’ve made it very hard to “on/off” parts of my actions.Do you really need to “stupify” your software? The new “Actions” interface is honestly terrible, it looks like a bad “beta”. Please revert to the old UI. What I hate: the new UI design structure itself is very hard to read – “what’s active in my action, what’s deactivated”… it used to be really easy to change a programmed action within, now … it’s not. Many more steps are involved now. I was much, much faster before the new implementation. Honestly, who thought this is a good idea/update? I recently updated to the Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.9.1 20260803.r.1 65900e1  x64 (final, Release). Once I import an image and I use the Clone Stamp Tool, it doesn't work as it used to. I use Alt+Click to select an area to clone, but then, when I click on a target to clone on, it uncontrollably clones other areas of the image, at a linear manner. I haven't seen such a behavior before. 

I recently bought a brand new MacBook Pro M5 with 48gb of working memory. Every app I use on a daily basis for work has been smooth, fast, and seamless- except Photoshop. It is consistently laggy. I’ll make a brush stroke and it will show up on the screen 5+ seconds later. I will click on the layers tab and it takes 4+ seconds to register.I currently have the memory usage set to 70%. I tried upping the memory and turning on and off some Graphics Processors settings, but that did not help.Yesterday, I was working on a 8”x10” file at 400 dpi with about 6 layers. I had only been working on that file for 20 minutes max. I went to Activity Monitor and Photoshop was taking up a whopping 16.09gb!!I removed and redownloaded Photoshop last week and am still experiencing this extreme lag.I use Photoshop for work and it has become nearly unusable. I’m running on a M5 MacBook Pro, Golden Gate 27.0. I downgraded to 27.8 and there was no more issues.I updated to Photoshop 27.10 and ran into several unacceptable issues:Opened photoshop after the auto update and tried editing a single 4k image. Zoom was slow, paintbrush was slow, and navigating menus was slow. I had a single layer with a mask and was trying to paint in the mask, but the brush was so laggy and unresponsive it was completely unusable. Trying to do this while zoomed in and the app would lockup completely. I tried with a smaller 1000px x 1000px image, still noticeably slow but no locking up. I’ve edited larger images with more layers and never ran into this issue until now. During this I also checked every setting and permission both in app and at the OS level. Everything was correct. During this time I noticed that while both were open my network bandwidth dropped to 5-7mb/s and I was unable to load pages in a browser. Closing both boosted bandwidth back to the expected

I have my document displayed on 100 %.I make Generative Fill layer.I want to see whole picture with Fit on Screen (Ctrl+0).But shortcut doesnt always Fit on Screen, instead randomly opens up Smart Sharpen filter, which has Ctrl+F5 shortcut assigned).Latest PS updated, Win 11.

Hi Everyone, At our company we experience the following issue: when a windows user would like to use Adobe Photoshop on VPN or on company Wi-Fi (behing proxies), after 30-60 seconds the app crashes. (Error report has been attached.) I experienced the issue on my device with the version 26.11 or 27.1.0 (Adobe Photoshop), but when I installed an older one (25.1) everything was fine. If I disconnect (with 26.11 / 27.1.0) from VPN or company Wi-Fi and I am using my personal hotspot / home Wi-Fi, Photoshop is working fine. (We had the same issue with InDesign, but after I have updated from 20.51 to 21.0.2, InDesign is working on VPN/company Wi-Fi. I’m working both at the office and at home, with different dual screens in different setups, and now the window for new documents in PS is invisible when i chose new document. I believe the window is stuck somewhere outside of my monitors and I can’t find a way to retrieve it. I suspect it is related to the screen resolution issues too, since the program windows can change size in crazy ways depending on which screen I move them to. The same issue happened on my previous computer but in Illustrator, so I just had to press enter and get whatever image size that was default and then change it in the program to what I needed.

I’m asking a question for a colleague. When ones uses the Levels adjustment in Photoshop, specifically clicking on the white dropper for the white background and the black dropper on the darkest line, is this adjusting the entire image? The reason for this question is to determine whether this technique results in a global adjustment, and not a selective edit, specifically when performing this on western blot images for publication. Global edits are acceptable on these images, selective edits are not. Thank you!

Ever since I got a new M5 MacBook Pro Photoshop either freezes on launch or locks up just as it finishes launching. It's unusable. All I can do is force-quit. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app (twice) and renamed the prefs folder so it would generate a new one but nothing works.

I don’t think the rotate object feature is working correctly on my pc. I have Intel Arc graphics, and here’s an example of the results I’m getting when I test this with some stock images. Source images before rotationImage I’m trying to rotateAs you can see, after it processes the image to prepare for rotation, I just get a jumbled mess. I’ve tried this with a couple of different images and get the same type of result no matter what. I also made sure the images are 8 bit RGB as I saw those being requirements for the feature. I’m just wondering if this is a problem with my machine or an actual bug in the software.

Hello,I recently moved my AppData folder to another drive as it was taking up a lot of space. The old path was C:\Users\<myname>\AppData\Roaming as is the default, and the new path is E:\Windows\AppData\Roaming. Moving the folder like this is a functionality supported by Windows, and Photoshop is the only application that has had a problem with it.After the move, certain functions in Photoshop cause the following error to appear:There are not any smart objects in this file, I just made a 16x16 canvas and immediately clicked "Quick Export as PNG." I have also noticed that the error message depends on what I do before first clicking Quick Export as PNG. My ADP Pro v3 extension couldn't be loaded by Photoshop 2023 24.0.1 on macOS Monterey 12.5.1 (non-M chip). The error message is "The ADP Pro v3 extension could not be loaded because it was not properly signed.". I have followed the Adobe instruction at https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/extension-not-properly-signed.html#reinstall-extensions (uninstall and reinstall PS and the extension) but the issue remains. I’m an architectural visualiser.I often use the generative AI feature to bring realism to CGI’s. I use it to replace people’s faces/hair, plants, and so on. When it works, it’s superb.It’s not uncommon for me to be working on a swimming pool, or spa shot, where the security filters kick in and prevent me from using the AI in these scenarios (as if I’m trying to make pornography or something). The security literally prevents me from using the tool as it was designed to be used.There have also been cases with planting schemes where security features have inexplicably kicked in also - you can’t prompt for a hebe rakaiensis, for example?

Hallo, wollte mein Uralt Mac Book Pro 17” von 2009 mit dem 30” Bildschirm nochmal als Backup einsetzten. Zum Start habe ich die Tastenkombi >option+Apfel+R+P+On gedrückt gehalten. Jetzt geht der Photoshop CS6 leider nicht mehr. Bridge geht noch. Ich wollte wie bei meinem neueren MacBookPro den Arbeitsspeicher leeren mit der Tastenkombi, nur leider war das wohl eine nicht gültige Tastenkombi. Gäbe es eine Möglichkeit diesen Haken wieder auszuschalten. Die Lizenz für CS6.0  kommt über einen Kauf von CS5.5 oderso und regelmässige updates. Vielen Dank und gute Grüße Ralf Kruse

I reviewed the previous discussions and didn't see where I can download CS4 Extended. I have had CS4 for over 10 years and never heard of the Extended portion until tonight. Is this something that I can download for free? I am interested in the 3D aspects. I followed several of the links on Adobe and the links from this discussion and didn't see where I could download it. Is it still available? Does anyone have a verified and reliable link to where I can download CS4 Extended dor Windows 10? My CS4 is licensed and registered. Is there a fee associated with the Extended portion and if so, do you know how much it is? Thank you for your help. Tom

I have a brush I like to use with the Pattern Stamp Tool. I made a copy of it and unlocked it so it picks up the pattern I have selected. When I leave the tool it reverts back to locked. I have to go through the process of unlocking it again, if I forget it paints with the foreground color instead of the pattern selected. I want to set this copy to work with the Pattern Stamp Tool and not the Brush Tool. How do I do that?

Marquee tool missing bounding box while dragging & draws solid black lines (PS 2026 / v27.1.0 / Intel Mac + AMD, Sonoma)I’m running into a visual display/GPU bug specifically with the Marquee tool in Adobe Photoshop 2026 (v27.1.0) and need some help.The Problem: When I click and drag the Marquee tool, the active bounding box is visible, but solid black. The marching ants only appear after I release the mouse and the selection is made.The absolute only thing that fixes this is for me is going to Preferences > Performance and turning off "Use Graphics Processor." When the GPU is disabled, the marching ants appear perfectly fine while dragging.
