As the title says, when i copy frames on the timeline and paste them, PS CC 2018 crashes. Mac OS Sierra v 10.12.6
When using Quick Export As PNG, if I quit photoshop before the icon has actually shown up on my desktop, then it's just lost forever. It should have a "this file is being saved in the background" warning message the same way the "save" command does, not just silently cancel the write if you happen to quit before it has silently finished writing. To reproduce: Create a large document (i.e. 24000x6000) Fill it with noise or something to make the resulting file take longer to write Open an Explorer window to the folder you're intending to save it to (or make sure you can see the desktop if you're saving there) Do 'Export > Quick Export As PNG' Before the document's icon appears in the folder that you're saving to (this takes about 1m30s on my machine), quit Photoshop. Photoshop immediately quits as though it weren't in the middle of something important, and the PNG it was supposed to export never appears. I know that the simple workaround is "well just don't quit photoshop while you'r
Posting at the request of @AdobeCare on Twitter:Photoshop has a 2GB limit for PSD file sizes, and I only discovered this after using Photoshop for 10 years. The problem is the error message is exceedingly unhelpful.Could not save [filename] because the document is bigger than 2 gigabytes.See help topic 'Saving Files' for more information. The problem: this description makes it sound like Photoshop has a file limitation of 2GB. It doesn't say "this file format". Just that the document is bigger than 2GB and thus it can not be saved. Further, the description does not provide a solution. It tells me it can't save, then suggests I go search for it.Fair enough. I went to Adobe's help (looking up Photoshop only) and searched for "Saving Files". NONE of the results on the first or second page applied to my problem. When you want to save a file and can't it creates a bit of anxiety. The only solution/suggestion it provides does not contain the answer. The error message should be able to determin
When I'm using the Script Listener plugin, it causes a lot of lag. For example, it makes the Pen Tool very slow, to the point where it's unusable. I would like to know if this has been documented, and if there are any solutions, or whether it is simply part of the baggage of the plugin.
Hello,I am a retoucher so i use Adobe Photoshop to do my work.Recently i've bought a new iMac 21.5 (late 2015) with cool 4k Retina display.Configuration:OS X El Capitan Version: 10.11.3 (15D21)iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015)Processor: 3,1 GHz Intel Core i5Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3Graphics: Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 1536 MBBut the happiness was gone very quickly after installing Adobe Photoshop and tries to do my job. The matter is that i've found a disgusting bug. My screen goes black/begins flickering/flashing (video is here - https://youtu.be/D-5dF3dvYmM).First my think was - perhaps this is a problem with key combinations or graphic tablet. So i switched off the tablet and checked hotkey settings and tried once more - the problem didn't gone.Next i tried to repeat the bug. I've realized that there is no any sequence of actions. Screen flickers randomly. But i noticed - pressing CMD,SPACE,[] keys makes screen to flick more often (when using brush or stamp tools).
In the Edit>Preferences>Tools menu, there is an option to disable animated zoom. Animated zoom becomes disabled when using the Ctrl-- and Ctrl-+ key combos but not for the zooming buttons on the navigation window. I want to disable animated zoom because there exists another bug in which, during the zoom animation, Photoshop will display the canvas in a previous history state, which makes for a quite disorienting user experience. I use a pen and tablet with Photoshop and I find the navigation window to be the most convenient way to move about the canvas.
Upgraded to the new Photoshop 2018 and can't seem to drag a layer style (texture, pattern fill)on a file created on previous version that let me do so. Any ideas?
PS CC 2015.5 Issues with rendering engine - When creating a video from individual mov files the progress bar stops and an output file is created but the last part of it is black and PS continues to display the progress bar and consume some CPU cycles but I have to end PS by shutting down the process.
Enabling the new built in brush smoothing disables the effect of brush build up.
Liquify algorithm acting strange. I am reshaping one layer. Then I press ok. After that I want to reshape underlying layer at the exact way. Until PS CC 2018, I just press CTRL+L and that layer deforms exactly as previous layer (they blend as they were). In PS CC 2018, when I do that, it deforms strangely, not even close to the first liquifyed layer.
Unlinked layer masks no longer get resized in an image resize operation – nor do they respect canvas size changes (ie. if you add canvas to the left side of the image the mask does not stay to the right with the rest of the image) . This is really painful – manually turning back on linking in a big document just to do an image or canvas size is a pretty awful workflow – and there's an enormously high risk of not spotting the error created from an unlinked mask until its too late.
Using the new Photoshop cc 2018, there is a wrong selection process with a clipping mask layer. Once there is a bottom layer with two or more layers clipped to it, and one of the layer is Hidden, you cannot select any layer above it using CTRL+Alt+Right Click on canvas. Furthermore, any layer above the hidden layer will NOT be shown in the pop up menu of CTRL+Right Click on canvas.
I'm running the latest update for photoshop (CC), and I started noticing this tiny initiation lag on certain brushes that's mainly noticeable when I'm trying to do a series of small strokes. I'm not having lag issues as far as I can tell, it just seems the brush will not initiate on the canvas until after I drag it a certain distance away from it's starting point. The strangest part about it is the inconsistency of the problem. It seems to only be a problem with imported brushes and only with certain ones. And if I disable smoothing on the brush, it might fix it or it might not, and if it does, then it only fixes it for a few minutes. The reason I know it's not just input lag is that I can press firmly on the canvas and draw tiny circles with nothing showing up on the canvas until I either lift the pen up or I drag it further from the starting point. I also tested it with a mouse to make sure it wasn't just my tablet and it does the same exact thing, except for when I disable smoothing
In most recent 2018 update, healing and spot healing brush have become much less responsive, sometimes taking multiple seconds after completion of stroke to affect the image.Late 2016 Macbook, up to date OS and SoftwareI've done the regular things like turning off OpenCL and changing other performance options... no change.GIF framerate is sped up 2x
Photoshop 2018 CC 19.0.1Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.6Suitcase Fusion 19.0.4 (6333)Even though fonts in Suitcase Fusion have been activated, an active TypeKit window appears. When I click CANCEL or even select an alternative font and click DON’T RESOLVE, the window won’t close. While it is active, the spinning dots just keep going and going. I have to quit or force quit Photoshop in order to use it. Then I have to manually turn on the full family and reopen Photoshop.I have changed settings to force Suitcase to open Font Families, however this TypeKit window shows up when I don’t have a font available and it simply won’t close without forcing Photoshop to close. It's very odd as I have been using Photoshop CC 2018 for months and have updated Suitcase, however this issue didn't seem to pop up right away. The image below shows my Photoshop TypeKit window in front of Suitcase, which shows that the font is activated (diamond shape).
When setting new numeric values to objects (during Transform), these objects' position is also affected in updated layer comps (that have updated Layer Comp Position TURNED-ON!). This happens automatically after re-positioning the objects with numeric values, without updating the layer comps. This DOES not happen when manually moving the objects with the arrow keys or the mouse. Here's a video capture of the bug:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJGZ5f4tJUUPlease fix this - since this bug damages my workflow considerably.Thank you.
When photoshop loads it occasionally fails to load the default workspace, welcome screen or the file that was requested. This occurs randomly without warning on boot. Had this issue originally with 19.1, but after crashes with the pen tool reformatted my PC and installed 19.0 with the same problem.Opening the workspace manually does bring up the panels, but photoshop is often unresponsive afterwards, so a close and restart is required. No plugins are currently used, but I do use NexusFont for loading fonts into memory (which is never been a problem before - so doubt this is related)
Previously this was a common technique I used and taught in many of my workshops. But since the recent updates, possibly 16.1, the functionality/process no longer works the same. Here is a common sequence that is now missing.1) Make active selection on a layer with a full image on it. (start with a lasso, marquee, whatever)2) Using the move tool, hold option and drag a floating copy of that selected area 3) While it's in this temporary state, "floating", Transform, distort, flip, etc, of that floating set of pixels 4) Apply transformation (don't deselect), but while still floating switch to the patch tool. 5) Set to destination, and push floating selection to area you wish to composite/blend into. Traditionally at this point, it would act like a patch tool push of pixels and blend into the target area as a nice composite but with the alterations it would apply with the modified appearance. This was great for taking one tree and making it many trees, clouds, street li
This bug is 100% replicable across several versions of Photoshop. including cs5, cs6, and the latest CC (on PC though I haven't tested on Mac). Steps to reproduce: - Open Photoshop - Open or create a document - Select brush tool - Right click within the document with a mouse (specifically a non-pressure sensitive input device), bringing up the brushes panel - Click gear icon at upper right - In the pull-down menu, select "Stroke Thumbnail" (if it isn't already) - Observe that stroke thumbnail ignores pressure settings and renders brush previews as 100% for all pressure sensitive values (image 1) If you repeat the exact same steps, but with a pressure sensitive stylus instead of a mouse, the brushes panel will display correctly (image 2) Image 1 (my brushes displaying incorrectly) Image 2 (my brushes displaying correctly) The frustration comes from the fact that whichever you use to display the brushes panel first will lock it in until you restart Photoshop. That is to say, if you rig
I have just upgraded to Photoshop CC2018 19.1. This is on Windows 10 Enterprise. On trying to import from a scanner I get the error after the scanner has run. - I have tried uninstalling including all settings and then re-installation- Using two different scanners, a Canon and an EpsonTo get scanning to work again I have downgraded to version 19.0.1Iain
After upgrading PS to version 19.1 I have stumbled onto two problems. One is reported here in detail already--the crash associated with Magnetic Lasso tool. I have also found that the Pen Tool (Both the Standard & Curved) crash PS very quickly after a short bit of use and I lose my preferences. Seems to be aggravated when I select the Rubberband display mode when using the Pen Tools. Is anyone seeing this issue too? I am running on the Win 7 Pro 64 bit OS.
If you select a few text layers and try to change their color in Color Picker the preview of color does not work. Required to click on "OK" 😞
i'm using a a microsoft surface dial to change brush size and hardness in photoshop (because the previous update removed this functionality from my wacom tablet (a problem that is still ongoing))now, whenever i use the dial to do so, photoshop crashes. this problem arose today (even before i updated to the latest photoshop version), but was not present yesterday. i'm running windows 10photoshop 19.1.1
Hej Hannah, thank you guy for your support & the solution today. I think it solved the issue with the floating Screen somehow, but... something new is happening 😕😕 I think it depends if I work “with“ or “without“ the graphic-card-support and/or the Application-Frame On/Off (just on MAC).I am using PS on a MacBookPro here with a Nvidacard on 2screens. I always work in PS on the bigger 2nd screen which is a Wacom-Cintiq:1. I open a PSD-file here (a test-file orange/yellow)2. it opens in the upper-left corner – ok so far!3. i changed the screen-mode (F), and...4. the the hole canvas appears in a small rectangle in the upper-left corner and the other 3/4 of the canvas is just black and not useable?!! (see screenshot)...thats absolutely useless here. When i switch OFF the graphic-card-support is seams to work fine in the frameless PS. Or i have to switch the PS-Application-Frame ON to use the graphic-card-support again. But use “graphic“ and “frameless“ at the same time i
When recording a canvas resize action, it will no longer save the set percentage value. It instead now converts to inches, which make the action unusable on different size images..
