If the UI can be split from the processing, could the UI components be translated to run in web assembly with the backend processing handled over grpc? It'd be great to get a fully featured environment in the cloud and I would personally pay more for it.
I use many tool presets and would like a simple way to organize and highlight my most frequently used tool presets. Similar to how Photoshop allows the user to Color identify Layers in the Layers panel - please allow users to add color identifiers to Tool Presets Window.
Hello,i am working with projects which use pantone colors... and not one adobe software can give me the same colors after merging pantone colors as they were before shown on my display...why can not photoshop or ilustrator or indesign just take each pixcel color and export it to rgb... (my display is showing current pantone colors in rgb so i should get the same resolut after merging or exporting view layer)i understand if you are merging pantone colors like you transfare color to rgb and than merge it than it can not work... so why adobe just does not take each pixcell color curently shown on display and instead of converting to rgb and than merging theese rgb layers... (this seems like what merging chanels do) So my idea would be to add button which will export current view in its resolution... it would also help people if they would like to export measurement lines or picture boarders... just something like screen shoot but in the same resolution as project is...You could make
I want to make an action that matches symmetry by selecting the exact middle of the face and reversing it. Is there a way? Please help me. Thank you. The picture I want is an id photo, so my face is standing upright.
I know Adobe offers Substance Sampler but It's so inconvenient in its evry aspect . Why not just let us construct our own filters for Photoshop in Substance Designer ? Or use sbsar as smart objects sampling beneath layers ot better layers of choise . It would solve the main Photoshop issue, an ancient layers only design and lack of flexibility . SBSR files as smart object would turn Photoshop in supeper advanced image editor not only for textures.I see so many options. dynamicly updating masks , depth aware CG images compositing, whatever filter forge is offering etc.
Some times when I work in Adjustment Curve/levels/ or other tools, I dont' go to adjustment layer, because may be not sure for result, but when is good, I want to save this as adjustment layer from any adjustment windows. Not sure I'm clear, but I think is not so difficult put one new button in any adjustment tool windows, like "save as adjustment layer".
Would be nice if after dropping an image file as a linked smart object for example we could get immediate access not only to RGB of that file but to alpha channels too. Maybe as auto generated layercomps or something or perhaps having not only RGB checkboxes in a layer style/ blending options but A too. It's possible in Affinity photo for example with its procedural live filter
Request to add a shortcut/hotkey for Crop orientation. There is a button in between the aspect ratio but a hotkey would be super nice.
Inside Camera RAW window when you load bunch of RAW files, create button to allow loading all selected raw files into Stack - single file with images as layers.
Can we please have a specific fade/blur edge tool. Something easier then the feather tool. Maybe a tool that could be freely drawn on the edge (or anywhere on an image). Thanks.
So It could be a one click solution. I mean a stack of filters and adjustments like levels and exposure . For example a height/depth image turned into normal map with gamma0.45>emboss>levels A stack of distortion and 1 pix displace filtes and so on.I know it could be done through actions but having it as styles would make it easier and convenient with a nice thumbnail preview vs actions which are hard to organise. Or make smart objects with smartfilters droppable into library panel so we could have a quick access
We need a feature that very clearly tells you how much time you've put into a file. I've seen some competitor creation programs that have this feature and they are extremely easy to access. Every time I try to figure out how to do this on photoshop, I'll get instructions to go into the file info and search there (this never works, and apparently you have to do it at the start of each file?) or I've also seen people install third-party apps to track this which is crazy to me since adobe is usually so great [Title edited by moderator for clarity]
This is the most important feature. If you are going to edit photos in photoshop, you need to be able to access your photos. It has access to creative cloud for some reason, but most photographers don't use creative cloud because it doesn't connect to lightroom. The photography plan you sell comes with Photoshop and Lightroom. They need to be connected.
I recently upgraded from PS 2020 to 2022 and I've so far not enjoyed the export/saving experience whatsoever. What used to be an easy process of your good ol' "save as..." is now a cumbersome export experience. Not to mention now every single time I click to export I have to be reminded that Adobe is on board with the NFT crowd which so many artists hate for good reasons. Honestly. Can you move that button somewhere else at least? I'm sick of the constant reminder of how much this company seems to be morally degrading. And while you're at it, the export function sucks. What was wrong with a simple dropdown in the save as menu?
let's say we are working on google dimensions as artboards via photoshop. A background image can be large. When moving or copying to another artboard, I have trouble placing it where I want and I am aware that this is due to the close proximity of artboards. but I couldn't find a way to do it. It would be very comforting if it was sensitive to the point where the mouse cursor is and sends it into the artboard it is on. I hope there will be an update on this. I wish everyone happy work 🙂
The Clone Stamp tool with blend modes is a very important and effective tool for removing "glows" around object edges in images. Having blend modes on the Clone Stamp tool (and all the other tools that have it on the Desktop version) would be a huge help for photographers.
So when I relink a smart object having layercomps A and B inside to another psd file also having layercomps A and B Photoshop would recognize same layercomps inside new file and makes them shown in mastr/host psd file . For some uncertain reason it works only if I "save as" the initial smart object content to a copy file . But doesn't work at all If I have unrelated document I want to re-link to.
My situation:I have a texture folder (pass through) with three layers (one multiply, two normal). This texture folder is rather large (170 mb, 4k file), and I'm using it in many files, so I want to use a linked smart object, so I can reuse the same psd everywhere, and save space (and sanity during editing). Problem: once I transform my folder into a smart object the pass through / multiply are gone, and my combined images doesn't look good. If I could use a pass through blending mode on my smart objects, I think I wouldn't have this problem. This feature request was also mentioned here in 2018, and the same example image applies. We can't see the building through the blue smart object, because pass-through is unavailable: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/smart-objects-need-to-retain-blend-mode-or-warping-multiple-layers/td-p/10050206
I create book covers. My process is to put the text all into one folder group. When it's time to generate title plates, I simply right click on the group (which is already named appropriately) and save it out /export as a jpg and as a png. I also wish we could export from here to TIFF, but that's never been an option that I've seen. But with this newest update, I had to go in and turn on legacy export to keep this option. I hope this doesn't mean that feature is going away. If it is on the chopping block, please reconsider.
Search bar addition is a wonderful feature, but sometimes it messes up organization by closing/opening a lot of folders It would be great if folder structure would be preserved once search is closed or cancelled. here are some examples of what I mean
I use layer comps and Artboards a LOT. The company I work for request multiple sizes of Social Posts for various platforms, and I usually create 3 or 4 variations for use at each size. This allows me to template a single file, change some text and a key image or two and i'm ready to go. The multiple sizes are created using Artboards, and the variations use LayerComps, but I can only export either LayerComps, or ArtBoards. I end up having to export Artboards and repeat the process for each LayerComp. I have had up to as many as 16 LayerComps for variations in messaging and imagery, with ArtBoards off and on, depending on which messaging will be going on which Social Media platform. I'd love to be able to Export LayerComps with a "Use Artboards" checkbox that would then export each ArtBoard for each set of LayerComps, all at once. I'd be extremely happy to learn I can do this already and I just haven't figured it out yet, but otherwise i'd love to see this feature a
Background When the Move tool was introduced back in Photoshop 3.0, it used the now familiar "arrow up and down and arrow left and right" icon in the Toolbar. In the next version, Photoshop 4.0, the Toolbar icon was changed so it became a hybrid of the previous icon and the cursor arrow. This didn't change for many versions of Photoshop until the CC 2015 release, when it reverted back to its original "arrow up and down and arrow left and right" icon in the Toolbar, keeping the hybrid version for the cursor when the Move tool is active. Currently The Photoshop on the web (beta) uses the Select icon from Adobe's Spectrum design system for the Move tool: Issues Spectrum has been designed to provide consistency across all platforms. By using the Select icon instead of the Move icon, it introduces inconsistency between the desktop and web versions of Photoshop. Many Photoshop on the web users a
I would like to suggest that Adobe add Focus points to Photoshop. Is it will be a useful tool to see which focus point has fixed your focal length for the image. Also another improvement would be to extend the camera raw database to include Samsung mobile phones like the S7 Edge, the S20 and the S21. Also the wide variety of Panasonic Lumix cameras.
When I have selected a layer in Photoshop I want a command to: Edit (that layer alone) in Lightroom. Bengt Nyman
So this is idea..I know you can edit text via smart objects, but here is the problem you shuld solveFor exaple, when i use artboards for differents size banners and put same text (smart objects) on all of them we have one but Big problem. If you scale down smart object, and that smart object is a text, pixsels do not aligne corectly for small sizes. I whuld love if you chuld add some sort of Special Text-smart object with options for text pixel alignment in photoshop when we scale down that smart object. * There is screenshot in attachment for better understand..
