Done live per channel . something like what patch tool does. My bet its could be simple frequency separation trick like splitting both whats beneath and a layer to low and high frequencies . Then relacing the layer low freq to beneath low freq with some slider to control the blure . Could be done in SBSAR and substance designer probably if we could access to "beneath" in photoshop.
Hi Team, With the integration of more AI models (Firefly and Third-Party Partner Models), managing generative credits has become a workflow bottleneck. Currently, we have to leave the app and check the web dashboard to see our balance, which breaks the creative flow. I would like to suggest two UI improvements: Real-time Balance: Display the remaining generative credits directly on the Contextual Task Bar or within the Generative Fill/Expand dialogs. Cost Transparency: Show exactly how many credits a specific generation will consume before we click "Generate," especially when using high-compute Partner Models (like Nano Banana or Video models) that might have different credit costs than standard Firefly. Knowing the "cost per click" and our total balance in-app would allow for much better resource management and a smoother professional experience. Thank you!
That term ultra tells me nothing, I want to figure out what resolution of sbsar material my 1024x4096 document needs to have this sbsar rasterized in same resulution . Please make it clear . And BTW what setting I need so set currently? Ultra or High?
On macOS, the file chooser used in Export : Quick Export as PNG and Export : Save for Web does not provide a simple way to navigate back or up in the directory hierarchy. While the sidebar works, there is no basic Back or Up control comparable to native macOS file dialogs. This makes frequent exporting less comfortable and breaks established Finder navigation habits, especially when exporting multiple variants in sequence.Using a more native macOS style file dialog or adding basic back or up navigation would noticeably improve export workflow usability.
On photoshop.adobe.com, there is a Lens Distortion effect that includes a Chromatic Aberration setting. This effect behaves differently from Photoshop’s Iris Blur by subtly pulling and distorting the image toward the edges while applying blur, creating a more realistic lens effect. In desktop Photoshop, Iris Blur currently does not include chromatic aberration or this type of lens distortion behavior. I would love to see these controls added to Photoshop, either as part of Iris Blur or as a standalone Lens Distortion filter.
Is so tremendously annoying to delete first then add each time I do subtle tweak and re-export sbsar. Let that delete>add be executed by saved action at least. And post a comprehensive guide please what nodes work what doesn't and make a special Photoshop template in Designer please.
I can't tell you how frustrating it is when you're working with a lot of artboards and you switch from one to another and the move tool constantly switches to artboard tool. Is there a way to prevent this behavior? All settings people suggest on internet do not solve this. - Deleting the shortcut doesn't do it. - Checking "Use Shift key for tool switch" doesn't do it - Unchecking "Spring-loaded tool shortcuts" does not do it. Why would Adobe think that once I select an artboard, I want to have the tool selected? Why?? Adobe Why?!?!? Hope you can see my frustration. There probably should be a setting somewhere where tools don't auto switch on you. Also.. give us the ability to dock the "contextual task bar" that thing is [cursing removed] annoying floating around, or always being in the wrong place. Rant off.
Please Adobe , let us use SBSAR files done in Substance Designer as custom filters using layer RGBA as a single input at least. So far only height to normal map working. Anything more complex I try shows perfectly nothing. I need smooth curvature filter badly in Photoshop. I need no of those generative AI features , no Ai credits at all and now it seems its only thing Photoshop is developed for. Please let us use Photoshop in capasity of Sampler . At least partly. Because lets be honest , Sampler is slow , cluncky and inconvenient. I don't even need real time render preview . Just make SBSAR work in Photoshop. chatGPT will do us the rest.
I'd like to be able to dial in the amount of magnification I need for snapping, like with an option in Preferences. Sometimes, I want objects/layers to snap at 25%, sometimes at 400%. But always being locked to 400% is dodgy, at least for me.
When working with variable fonts in Photoshop, adjusting font properties such as weight, width, slant, and optical size currently requires opening the full Properties panel. This interrupts workflow, especially when working in full screen or distraction-free modes.I propose adding a dedicated Variable Font settings button directly to the contextual text task bar. This would allow users to quickly access and adjust variable font axes without leaving the canvas or opening side panels.Currently, the More Options menu on the contextual bar only includes spacing, bold, italic, and underline controls. Expanding this to include variable font properties would significantly improve efficiency and usability.
In the Generate Image popup window, there is currently no option to select between different image generation models such as Nano Banana, Flux, or others. Users are limited to the Firefly Model without visibility or control over which model is being used unlike on Firefly Web.I propose adding a model selector directly within the Generate Image dialog, allowing users to choose the generation model based on their needs, such as realism, illustration style, speed, or experimental output.
People have been asking for it for 7 years now that I have seen. I think it's a pretty basic feature that is needed within this community. It sure drives me insane having no concept of how accurately aligned my objects are on a project. why does EVERY other photo editing app have alignment feature 😂
To the Photoshop Development Team, I am writing to you as a professional Photoshop user to highlight a functional gap that I find critical for anyone managing large font libraries. Currently, Photoshop integrates fonts from the AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Fonts folder by mixing them indiscriminately with Windows system fonts in the "Your Fonts" panel. This makes testing new characters extremely difficult and time-consuming when dealing with hundreds or thousands of installed fonts. My Proposal: It would be immensely helpful to include a specific section or filter (similar to the existing ones for "Serif," "Adobe Fonts," etc.) that allows users to display only the fonts manually loaded into the local Adobe folder. In the current version (26.2), it is impossible to isolate these fonts as a group or bulk-add them to favorites after a search. This is because the system relies solely on internal metadata and does not provide a way to filter based on the source folder.
Hello Adobe,In recent years, many online platforms have evolved and improved, with some now capable of supporting JPEG files that contain clipping paths. Currently, the only way to save a JPEG file with a clipping path is by using the “Save As” command. The “Export As…”and “Save for Web…” commands do not include clipping paths. I understand the explanation that these commands are intended for digital use only; however, as mentioned above, the world of graphic software has evolved, and designers now require more flexible options. The request is simple: we want to export multiple artboards to JPEG format while preserving the clipping paths we create. Thank you.
Please, PLEASE create a larger Generative AI Prompt field in Photoshop! A scalable option would be sufficient.
Having enjoyed photoshop on windows, I decided to have a go at trying it on IpadOS, using the Apple Pencil feels great. I am a fan of the general interface too, however, ( and please tell me I'm not the only one experiencing this ) I am unable to utilize the Apple Pencil pro fully. I checked the input slide in the apps settings and was excited to see It's built-in double tap feature there. It is supposed to be super handy in making workflow faster, switching to eraser, undo, etc. but for some reason it just won't respond to it when I try. Other art based apps already have this integrated and optimized. Was really, really hoping the photoshop app would follow. Would make for a much better experience.
It's not working currently. Lets photoshop temporary rasterize the smart object while wrapping and then bring the deforming mesh to original smart object. Surprizingly mesh deform works with smart objects and pattern preview so I am not sure if puppet wrap is just a bug actually.
Need option to have background shape/color for the text. Which auto fits based on the font size.
Hello, Rather than receiving a message asking me to convert the Grayscale image to RGB, Lab or CMYK before using Generative Fill, I would prefer the mode change to be automatic and for the message to tell me that my image has just been converted to RGB and that I am free to convert it to another colour mode. Thank you.
It would ne so useful to be able to create shapes with the pen tool, and add rounded corners that you can drag just like with the rectangular shape tool. Id like to do corner radii on my paths/shapes.
Specifically for Photoshop, when selecting multiple anchor points to delete, there must be a button on the 'Delete anchor point tool' options under Pen Tool to delete those selected points, or at least allow deleting them via the 'Delete' keyboard button without breaking the shape. So far, the only direct solution is to click 'Delete anchor point tool' and keep on deleting those anchor points one by one (but it sucks to do so on a very fragile and complicated shape with a ton of anchor points). This can be done in Illustrator; however, it's necessary to be done directly in Photoshop too, without the need to back-and-forth from there.
I could very well be mistaken (and if I am someone please let me know), but I'm reasonably sure that these Transform Controls/abilities are only available when transforming (Cmd T/Ctrl T). It would be helpful to also have them in the Properties Panel when shapes are "Live" (see attached pic). It would speed-up workflow.
Dear developers! Will we ever see these pen pressure settings in Photoshop?
Hello, I am experiencing a problem with a Photoshop file that is very large in size because it contains many smart objects and has large content. However, when trying to find which layer contains the large file, I cannot decide whether to delete it or rasterize the smart object layer because not all of those layers are unimportant. If the layer palette could display the file size of smart objects, it would be very helpful for me to take action to make it useful for hard drive space efficiency. Thank you.
Ayooo, would it be possible to implement something in the lines of PureRef, but working outside the main canvas, without utilizing any artboards? Just press a button to enter the background area, copy and paste images and text to it, lock it and keep it there? Seems like a very simple thing to implement, and would be a huge quality of life improvement for anyone dealing with digital painting, ie entire design in gaming/movie industry in the world :dJust to visualise the idea:
