Hello,I’m unable to start PS from the CC desktop app nor starting PS from Win start menu as administrator.I am getting the error message:“Could not complete your request because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the ‘Properties’ command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file.I rebooted my Win system to make sure no active processes was locking any files. I started Photoshop and immediately I get this error message. It doesn’t say which file is locked so that makes it hard to troubleshoot.What can I do in this situation to resolve this?  

Sińce few months I’m seeing problem with Photoshop updates. If they started automatically and then I log out or shut down computer not knowing it because updated running in background whole installation crash and the only way is to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop.On MacOS the message when starting program is that installation is incomplete or broken. I have never experienced such error before when doing so - closing computer during updates - it just started again after new session, and no other Adobe apps like Illustrator, Premiere etc. are suffering such as Photoshop.But what is worst. Each time such event broke all preferences so I need to setup Photoshop once again!

I was working as usual for a couple of hours until I saw that there was a Photoshop update. I updated it and continued working, but immediately after the update, I started noticing the program flickering—sometimes it’s black, other times white. It happens constantly and only in Photoshop, so it’s pretty obvious that it’s a bug in the update.

Toolbar< Filter< Distort. Distort tool is not working, it is grey from around 1 month. I am using an updated version of photoshop, latest computer configuration. Please resolve the issue as I need it urgently.

Photoshop Beta: Brush/Eraser Resetting to 0% Roundness After Every StrokeI need help :( This is so frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What I have tried so far (and failed):Reinstalled Photoshop Beta: Completely uninstalled Photoshop Beta and reinstalled it from the Creative Cloud app. Reset Tool / Reset All Tools: Right-clicked the Brush/Eraser icon in the top options bar and selected Reset Tool, as well as trying Reset All Tools. Manual Setting Overrides: Manually changed the brush roundness value back to 100% in the brush options panel. Disabled Shape Dynamics Control: Opened Brush Settings (F5) -> Shape Dynamics, and verified that the Control dropdown menu under Size Jitter and Angle Jitter is set to Off (not stuck on Pen Pressure or Stylus Wheel).The Persistent Behavior:Despite all of these resets, the moment I lift my pen or mouse stroke, the roundness value for both the Brush and the Eraser instantly drops back down to 0% automatically. HELP!!!

Open ik het RAW scherm in Photoshop dan ziet de foto er anders uit. De kleurruimte (Adobe RGB 1998) en bit (16 bit) is in beide schermen hetzelfde. When using Content-Aware Fill Photoshop samples all layers instead of the only the layer selected, even though the check mark for "Sample All Layers" is unchecked.This seems to only happen the preview/pre-rendering hasn't fully finished rendering (also when using Content-Aware Fill as part of an Action).If I let the pre-rendering fully finish it does not happen. MacOS Sequoia 15.4.1Photoshop v26.6.1 

Summary: When using PS 27.7.0 the sky replacement feature is unusable as the sky will not be loaded and visible as a preview in your file while you make settings adjustments for it.   (temp fix utilized: downgrading to 27.5.0 regains sky feature usage confirmed)Description:  In 27.7.0 the sky won’t preview in file to see how settings adjust new sky fit.  If you just randomly choose settings and hit done/ok, it will then load the sky into your file.  But I was not able to see what settings were resulting in sky fit to image until after it’s loaded.  Then all you are left with is adjusting the two mask layers that are not as helpful as the sky replacement settings initially are.A coworker still only had 27.5.0 installed and their sky replacement preview still worked.  So I downgraded to 27.5.0 and now mine works again from that version.  I did not attempt 27.6.0 version.  Before downgrading PS version, I attempted to rule out graphic driver by updating Nvidia graphic drivers but did not

Photoshop 26.10Windows 10 Pro 22H2I used this last night to remove objects from about 20 pictures, the "open" function was working great, also with the exporting process. No problems. A bit later, I was starting another task, and all I was trying was to drag and drop a picture, remove the background, and collage it with another picture when this stubborn error kept appearing. I was expecting the picture to open on the canvas as a Layer and just do my thing from there. I restarted PS, I restarted computer, I did everything from the guides, I updated the drivers. I also used an older version, same problem. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestion is helpful

When you change the quality setting in Save for Web, the preview no longer automatically updates and instead you have press RETURN for the preview pane to change. This is annoying and inefficient. And if you hit RETURN an extra time by mistake, the save dialog pops up which makes the new interface even more annoying and time consuming!Also the dropdown menu for the image size is far slower than it used to be. Previously, you could just quickly click + or -, now you have to dig through a long list of size options. Sure, you can type a percentage, but you are guessing the size… the old method was quicker and easier.I MUCH, MUCH prefer the previous design. New is NOT better!

i want to install ps in my pc but it's not incompatible so, there is any way to skip it and download the app or install an old version the problem is in the processor

Hi everybody, I’m trying to make an advert for my band but I’m having different results in two different files with the same layers and can’t figure out why. I was wondering if anybody can spot the obvious mistake I’ve made?In one file (the one above) I have the album cover with a multiply blend of another image over it and a vertical gradient layer over that. When the gradient layer is on it comes out lighter so you can see the detail underneath. Grave stone etc.I have dragged the exact same layers into a different file which has some other things in it and they appear completely different when the gradient layer is on! This file (the one below) it is way darker! What could be different in file on the left to the file on the right? Many thanks for any ideas. 

(I ran and resolved the 27.10 redish color bug, but in the process I realized that I don’t understand something:)Photoshop 27.10 (bug) shows me pictures the way I get them from the drug store printout. With 27.9.1 the screen colors are in line with all other apps (Lightroom, the windows viewer, scan software and some others) and also hardware (ipad). But the prints look different. I made sure the pictures had sRGB IEC61966… embedded. My display has its manufacturer profile installed. I had naively assumed that pictures with sRGB colorspace included would display “correctly” on the display. But they don’t look like the prints, unless I specifically force the issue by activating color proofing to sRGB in Photoshop itself. What I don’t understand is, why is this so? Why would I want it to look differently on screen? I first thought this is about calibration, but I can force the screen to look like the print with a build in function of Photoshop.I would like to understand the issue. I naiv

I often see new photoshop features advertised that I’d like to try. But when I go to photoshop that feature just isn’t there.For example the new adjustment layer ‘Light’ is not in the drop down like adobe says it is on the official tutorialAnother example is the new 3D rotatable object feature. It is not in the Contextual Task Bar it is not in the ‘Edit’ menu. *I dont mean these features are greyed out I mean they are not there at all**I have latest MacOSX and latest photoshopThese are just two examples but this type of thing has happened before. New version of Save for Web with updated UI will not assign presets (JPEG or PNG) to individual slices. Changing the Preset setting now changes the setting for all user slices. So the workaround is to save out the slices for each format needed separately now. Seems like a bug to me, I have been using this workflow for several years.

My move tool will not let me resize my image once I place it. I have the resize box when I 1st input the picture but as soon as I place it the box is gone and I cant get it back. This is a new computer I just got. HP EliteX2 Tablet with keyboard.  Looking for help

I am using Photoshop 7. Yes, I know it is very old. However it has been working fine after the technician installed it on my new Asus windows 11 computer. Yesterday, I began getting the error message "could not complete your request because of program error", whenever I tried to save, or save as my work. I tried hiding my layers, flattening my layers and increasing photoshops cache to 6. Does anyone know of any possible fixes for this, other than reinstalling the program? I don't know if I could reinstall it myself, I would probably have to pay the technician who installed it the first time to do it again. Thank you.
