Muchas gracias!
It would be nice that with all these features and all this stuff on the cloud that photoshop would also be able to backup your preferences somehow and save them. Instead everytime I have to re-install photoshop, for any number of reasons, if I don't manually back it up myself then it's all lost. I recently had to re-install windows, didn't have the option to back anything up, and now my settings are gone forever. Seems pretty stupid that this isn't already a thing considering how many people have had problems not having their preferences saved or retrievable after looking through posts.
A cool improve (and simple IMO) for the symmetry options would be to center with the active layer. Would be very very useful 😉
I'm not sure what your coders are doing but the UI - icons and text are just shrinking with each and every update. It's now to the point where the product is basically unuseable. Most designers use large monitors. Personally I'm on an Apple Studio Display which uses the native resolution of 2560 x 1440. The version of Photoshop I am using is 26.6.0 I've attached screenshots with measurements so you can see how crazy small the icons are now - IT - IS - INSANE !!!!!!!! And why are the icons also not scaling when you scale the layer thumbnail size?????? No one should not have to strain and strain and strain to see the various tools, icons and text. It makes it so obscenely hard to use the program. And PLEASE do not tell me to modify my monitor resolution each time I want to use your app. This then throws my whole system out of whack and I have to spend 30+ minutes resetting everything. This is NOT a viable option. PLEASE fix this. This has been problematic f
I believe there was a bas relief filter under parametric filters in the past. I'd love to see this back again. Thank you.
Hey, Adobe! Make a filter for stray hairs removal. The retouchers have to do it manually (either with a Stamp or a Healing brush) which takes too much time. The only existing filter which can be used for this is the Dust & scratches. But it's hard to choose the values for removing the most contrasting hairs without blurring all the rest. Usually you can only make them less contrast which is not the result we need — it's blurry and has noticeable artifacts. So, we need a new time saving filter for that purpose. It should detect the most contrasting single hairs and replace them (like the Content aware fill) with the nearest darker color. The same as we do manually with a Clone Stamp in the Darken mode. This retouchers' routine needs to be done by a machine. Either on the basis of the Dust & scratches filter or smth completely new. Probably, the new filter will consider not only the micro contrast (brightness), but also the main direc
Is it possible to have a "active layer and below" swatch option with the "delete" or "healing brush" tools, in the same way that this option exists with the "stamp" or "eyedropper" tools?Currently, only the "all layers" or "active layer" swatch option is available.
So in save for web, it will automatic add hyphen in the file name spacing, in export as there is no such setting or where can i find it? Thanks
App Version: Adobe Photoshop 26.6Platform/OS: macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 (MacBook Pro M2 Max)Steps to Reproduce:Enter Liquify mode.Press Z (Zoom Tool) and hold left mouse button while dragging the mouse.Expected Result:Zoom should behave smoothly — just like in the standard Photoshop interface — where dragging the mouse provides fluid, continuous zoom in/out.Actual Result:In Liquify, zooming is stepped or jerky, not smooth. The response feels segmented and unnatural, making it difficult to control the zoom level precisely. Why this matters:This inconsistency breaks the workflow. Smooth zooming is a standard, expected behavior in Photoshop, and should be consistent across all tools, especially Liquify, where precision and fluidity are critical for retouching.

In Photoshop 25.5+, the transform controls on smart object layers no longer respect the layer mask's bounds. Instead, the transform handles default to the entire smart object, even when a mask is active. This is a major disruption to workflows that rely on quickly resizing or adjusting masked areas without affecting the full layer. Previously, selecting a layer mask allowed for tight, accurate transforms around the masked content. Now it requires cumbersome workarounds like rasterizing layers, manually loading mask selections, or using additional transform steps. Please consider either:Restoring the old behavior when a layer mask is selected.Adding a Preference toggle that allows users to choose between "Transform by Mask Bounds" or "Transform by Full Smart Object Bounds."This change slows down professional workflows and makes mask-based smart object editing less intuitive. To the powers that be, PLEASE take this into consideration, thank you!
Within the Camera Raw window, there are a number of controls that I rarely/never use. Talking to other creators that utilize CR, they all agree that there are a few (15-20) that are used on almost every image - while there are a number that we almost never utilize. It would be incredible if we could either (or both):- Create a favorites window where we could stack our most-often used controls- Allow the user to hide rarely-used controls.
I would like to suggest adding a dedicated command in the Keyboard Shortcuts settings that allows switching between Tool Presets — such as "Next Tool Preset" and "Previous Tool Preset."Currently, there's no way to assign a shortcut for selecting a different Tool Preset directly. The only available options are for managing presets (load, save, reset, etc.), but not for navigating through them during active work. This feature would greatly enhance workflow efficiency, especially for users who rely heavily on Tool Presets and want to cycle through them quickly without using the mouse. Please consider adding this functionality to make Tool Preset usage more dynamic and keyboard-friendly.
I would love to have a preferences item that allows me to remove the 19 file formats that I will never use to make the 3 or 4 file formats I do use much easier to find in the list.
I have a lot of images consisting primarily of light text, on a dark background, for example:I write programs in Linux. Linux has lots of commands, and most commands have LOTS of options (parameters) -- too much for my old brain to retain, so I copy and print articles from the web, which typically contain images like that shown above. I have tried various filters to clarify the text, plus selection tools on enlarged images then painting the selections and inverses with the paintbrush, but with only limited improvements in the readability of the text. It would be great if an AI tool could recognize and sharpen the text.

The preview window for Select > Color Range is way too small. As an artwork seperator for screen printing, it would be great to have an option to preview my selection in my entire window like you can with layer masks. This tool is incredibly useful, but for selecting graduated areas you have to refine your selection by trial and error.
Do not allow photoshop to clear history on an image until that image is closed, history is manually cleared by the user, or photoshop is closed. Example: I flatten a layered image, accidentally hit ctrl-save and history is cleared. I now cannot revert in history to regain my layered psd because I saved over it with the flattened psd. My fault. But WHY is the history wiped when the image is still open? What good is history if it is cleared before you close the image?
Just curious, as to how many "left handed" users are part of this community? I'm sure I'm not the only one. With all the changes and wonderful updates Adobe releases every year, I'm wondering if they will ever give the option to change the interface for some of the major tools used in PS to accomodate us left handed people. I would love to actually scroll thru my layers and be able to see the thumbnails at the same time instead of having my wrist constantly in the way and that's just one of the tools that has the scroll button on the right side of the tool. Lightroom came out with the update to move their Developement dropdowns to the left side, which is a great beginning. Having used this software since the late 80's, I think it's about time to give us left handers the ability to use the tools without some appendage in the way. I'm really kind of surprised this hasn't been brought up before, I mean one of the main brush designers and a major contributor to Adobe's new iPad drawing sof
Hi PS team,I was wondering if more handles could be assigned in the warp mode, the current 16 handles seem not up for the job for precision editing such as horizon and sea level involved when stitching several frames together. Thank you! Cheers, Donald
Having the ability to perform upscaling within Photoshop would be a fantastic application. I am an editor of illustrated books and we often encounter the problem of wanting to enlarge a drawing, but the printed resolution limits us. I am familiar with the Super Zoom tool in Neural Filters, but it's not the same because that function involves cropping, which is not ideal. It would be a tremendous asset to incorporate this feature into Photoshop. Greetings and thank you.
Hi Adobe, I find my workflow has now settled into a fully Adobe applications one, great for you guys. However I am not an Enterprise user, therefore can't access Frame io from within Photoshop and indeed Lightroom. I can do this from within Premier & Aftereffects. So why do I have to be an Enterprse user to avoid the workaround of exporting files then uploading them outside of Photoshop ? It's an annoying and seemingly uneccessary restriction. It would be great if this barrier could be lifted. Thank You Jonathan
Libtiff and tools that use it (gdal, qgis, and man more) support zstd compression. It does quite well and is pretty fast.
Surprisingly, this command is still not in the menu.Luckily, I know the shortcut (Shift+Ctrl+Alt+E), but do all newbies know it?Those who like to learn software on their own, by trial and error, will never guess... I've noticed it while recording an action; as you know, it's better to use the menu commands for it. But... you won't find it there.
Hi Photoshop Team,I have a feature suggestion that could improve the Quick Mask experience. Currently, when using Quick Mask mode and brushing a large circle or shape, it only paints the mask along the brush stroke — it doesn’t auto-fill the inside of the shape like the Remove Tool does.It would be incredibly useful if Photoshop could recognize a closed brush stroke (like a circle) in Quick Mask mode and automatically fill the enclosed area, similar to how the Remove Tool or Lasso Tool with Content-Aware Fill works. This would speed up masking workflows, especially when selecting large or simple shapes.Optional behavior could be:If the stroke closes, Photoshop detects it as a shape and fills the inside.Maybe a modifier key (like Shift or Ctrl) could trigger the fill behavior after completing a closed stroke. Thanks for considering this! It would be a powerful addition to the already great masking tools.
