Dear Adobe Community,One area where I believe there is room for improvement is in the integration with cloud storage services. While Photoshop does offer some integration with services like Adobe Creative Cloud, there are limitations that can hinder workflow efficiency. One particular pain point is the inability to directly open and save files from popular cloud storage providers like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. This requires users to download files to their local machine before opening them in Photoshop, which can be time-consuming and inefficient, especially when working with large files or collaborating with others.I believe that improved integration with cloud storage services would greatly benefit Photoshop users, allowing for seamless access to files from anywhere and simplifying the collaboration process. Features like direct file access, automatic syncing, and version control could significantly enhance the user experience and streamline workflows. I'm interested to hea
in the guides section (view> guides)The words 'Edit current guide layout'.'New guide layout' makes me think i'm going to lose the current guide layout - edit makes me think that i can make changes rather than starting a new one. Also including a lock icon so that you can apply one value to complete all other guides, like you have here in the options for a rectangle tool.
An exciting idea for the Photoshop ecosystem could be the introduction of a collaborative platform where users can connect, share, and collaborate on projects in real-time. Imagine being able to work on a design or photo editing project with artists and designers from around the world, exchanging ideas, feedback, and inspiration as you create together. This collaborative feature could include a virtual workspace where multiple users can simultaneously edit a project, chat in real-time, and even video conference to discuss ideas. Users could also share assets, presets, and custom brushes, fostering a sense of community and creativity within the Photoshop ecosystem. With this innovative addition, the Photoshop ecosystem would not only be a powerful tool for individual creators but also a hub for collaboration and connection among like-minded artists. It would open up new opportunities for learning, networking, and pushing boundaries in the world of digital art and design. B
As I move (stumble) through a myriad of Adobe links for various applications I notice a drastic difference between support of the Creative Cloud apps. By far Acrobat seems to provide the greatest level of technical detail updates on their app. Why are the other Adobe apps not as well supported? An example; https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.htmlI have not found anywhere else on Adobe this level of detail on what changed.
Add an option to group the LUTs (Color lookup tables).
Hi Adobe,Could you please add a "do not show again" button to the popup AI Generative Fill Tutorial. This keeps popping up every time my students and I login to Photoshop. It is sincerely interuptive and annoying. ThanksYour dedicated user since 1995ish, version 4.
Please add an Opacity slider and a Reverse button within the gradients editor panel, so we may audition gradients thoroughly and efficiently -- Currently we have to select a gradient, leave the editor completely, try these various settings on it we were imagining might work, then return to the editor to try another one. It's a VERY clumsy way to work with them and this change would be a huge help and time saver! Thank you-
Renaming each individual layer is rather slow, what if we can rename all selected layers at once?
Artboard is a great way to manage and create a group of images/designs with all of them laying out on the table while individually editted. My suggestion is to add the ability to flip individual artboard at a time, without flipping the whole canvas. Because sometimes while I am sketching on one of the artboards, I need to flip the sketch constantly to check perspective/symmetry, etc. If flipping the whole canvas is the only option, I noticed that it can take minutes sometimes to complete the calculation, ending up stucking my workflow.
The auto align tool in photoshop is great, except when trying to align two photos of the night sky with stars. It does not seem to be able to handle it at all. I'm not talking about drastically different scenes. Take a shot of the night sky above the horizon. Take a second picture say 10 seconds later same camera same lens same exposure time. They are different because of the rotation of the earth, and they will not auto align.
I've not found any solutions to this in forums. Years ago before Photoshop had the artboard feature, we used to be able to see images/objects outside of the canvas. Very similar to how you can in illustrator or InDesign. Reveal all is not a solution because it expands the artboard, which is not helpful. I don't need or want to create additional artboards either. I would love to have an option that, at the very least, can be turned on/off for those of us who desire to do so.
Now that PSD has updated to include a floating toolbar for the layer mask editing rather than the window/panel we had before, I'm needing an in-depth tutorial that can either show me how to access the same tools as before or show me how to get back to the window/panel view. For instance, it seems like the only way to subtract from a layer mask now is to click Subtract from Mask in the floating toolbar, which automatically defaults to the brush tool -- what happened to our ability to use the lasso tool? When you select Lasso tool, you leave the layer mask editing mode. When changes are made to a program like this, an in-depth tutorial is needed so that us professionals trying to meet tight deadlines can adapt to the changes on the fly. Without the tutorial, we're unable to use the program to its full potential and unable to perform to the best of our abilities as quickly as we used to, creating a poor user experience
The generative fill tool bar should go away when using patch tool, it gets in the way and is truely annoying, to the point of being almost unusable. I need to use the patch tool thanks, not the generative fill.
Please allow users to assign keyboard shortcuts directly to character styles. This would allow users to quickly apply styles with a keystroke instead of manually selecting them from the panel and significantly improve the efficiency of applying styles and streamline the workflow for designers who don't have programming skills and heavily rely on character styles for text formatting in Photoshop.
I use Photoshop, often, to draw complex geometric paths, using the Pen tool. I often trace an image, dimming the original layer down in order to better see my anchor points and my direction points. There are often circumstances when it would be immensely useful to customize an achor and/or direction point, for two reasons I have encountered:1. better visibility of points against an image being traced from or referred to2. in a complex path, it would be extremely helpful to be able to create reference points by using an alternate color, and if this could be a key plus mouse click, perhaps cycling through a few useful colors, it would be handier than a bandannaSeems like a quick and easy code, but I know nothing.Thank you!
When using blend options on an image, it would great if there was in the effects panel a way to add an image to blend options. Currently, I have to create a pattern from the image and use pattern overlay. This is okay, but If I reopen the image and resize it, The pattern isn't resized, should I choose to use it. Also I have patterns that I no longer use and have to delete. I hope this makes sense. A screenshot will be posted to this post upon request.
This feature request is pretty straightforward:Add option to shift-select multiple recent files to open at once. It's especially useful when you work on multiple files simultanously, exchange elements, operations, etc.Thanks.
Good morning. With the latest versions of ACR, the cropping tool has "popped" out of the main "Edit" panel into a new, separate panel. This bothers me VERY MUCH. I waste a lot of time switching between "home panel <> cropping tool" for each photo. And I process a lot of them... I would like the cropping tool to return to the main tool panel. How to do it?Either I ask the designers to do it or let the user decide for themselves in the latest version of ACR.
When choosing colour for any action in Photoshop it would be marvelous if AI could do it for us using colour theory. (There could be a button "AI Colour" and when you click on it the AI would propose some colours), like a Generative Fil but Generative Colour.
I believe that Photoshop really needs the ability to add "variable tokens" into the filename. The tokens are not literal characters, they are metacharacters that the save naming routine would "translate" into literal characters. The token could also offer parameters, such as the number of digits required. As an example, the filename entry could be: My great digital painting_\\random-digits,6\\ And when saved as say a JPEG the result would be: My great digital painting_542876.jpg In this example, I have used illegal filename characters \\ as "reserved" special characters to designate the token. This is just an example, more commonly this would be { } or double-escaped {{ }} or [ ] or [[ ]] etc. There could be a checkbox to enable tokens, or a preference setting. It would be helpful that there was a option in the GUI to select and insert the token rather than relying on the user to type it correctly. This should also be supported by actions and s
Tell me why, when generative fill is doing it's thing I can't do anything else with photoshop untill it's done? It should be able to do it's thing in the background while I work.
Add additional shapes for the selection icon. Circle and Oval
It would help in certain cases to be able to use regular expressions in the Edit > Find and Replace Text... menu command. I envision adding a checkbox to enable regular expressions. Also, conditional checkboxes would need to be added to modify the regex with global (g), and multiline (m) flag options, there is already an option for Case Sensitive which could be used for the regex without needing a separate insensitive (i) flag option. This is a "basic" feature in Bridge Batch Rename and GREP Find/Replace and GREP Styles in InDesign are a must-have for many users. Even though Photoshop isn't a text-heavy app, it would be a great optional feature without having to resort to requiring scripting for such text maipulation.
I have files that are composed of over a hundred layers, and when I save a copy as a jpg, the layers pannel resets, putting the layers scroll bar up to the top. And it then takes me a lot of time to scroll down to find where I was at. It breakes the train of thought, and seriously disrupts the workflow. I cant imagin any reason why it would be set to do that. Can you guys fix this issue. Thanks in advance,
