In 23.4.2 Adobe introduced a compression by default when you save uncompressed - I believe this to be called RLE. A few complained on here about this as it meant uncompressed files we not truly uncompressed and this increased save times by a small fraction. However for those of us that run and work in a studio where working on a shared server is critical and the only option, this RLE compression was actually a godsend! It was SO much quicker to save and the file sizes were only fractionally bigger than the normal VERY SLOW compressed sizes. Can I please ask that Adobe introduce a 'save with RLE compression' tick box in preferences and harness a really good thing they showed in 23.4.2? It's so important to our workflow, that our whole studio is stuck working on this old version. We've tried going to new versions and the save time is so bad with compression. With uncompressed the files are enormous and not practical for the volume of files and resolution we are working wit

Hello,I use often the blur on a path in the galery blur effect. When the window is open I must do the shortcut ⌘H to show the path, and this arrow is always in the center of the picture. The improvements of this tool :• show always the path when the window open• the path in the center of the selection (not of the center of the picture) and perhaps at a preview place• drawing a path like in Illustrator or Photoshop (beziers type)Thank you !
There was a time when you could change one of the Font parameters without it influencing the authors. As the attachments show, if you follow the sequence: Font, Font Size, then Color, you will notice that the Font Size has changed, and you have to go back to it to get it to the right size. Can we fix this bug?THANKS
Photoshop is my preferred program, but I often leave just so I can use the Clipstudio brushes. Clipstudio brushes are so powerful, I wish PS the same ability & a shop to buy and sell brush assets.Features Clip Studio has for brushes: You can have several different images randomly cycle through in one brush. You can paint with full color information (even with the different cycling images), and you can even change the colors depending on your selected color pallet. For some you can even pick the fill and outline color. You can buy, sell, share brushes, and their already pre-setup for you to dive right in. 3D Assets as a Brush (amazing for perspective painting) Mannequin pose reference tool These function completely different to PS stamp tool, i've tried workarounds but there not even in the same ballpark. I mainly want the first 3 points, but I wish Photoshop could do all these things. As time goes on I may just fully convert to clipstuido with how much I swap between the two
I use Photoshop for most all of my photo edits. When I open Photoshop v 25.4 on my desktop, with the frequent updates the application forces me to constantly have a learning curve. In addition, a hunt for Quick Actions always seems necessary. Why are the Quick Actions always so difficult to access?Return on investment and opportunity costs are always in the back of my mind when I am creating a new graphic for a client. Having to open the Discover Panel each time I open Photoshop, then hunt for hunt for Quick Actions seems to be both redundant and tedious. Are these options ever going to be part of the top menu, side menu or panel options? Also, when there are new features updated in Photoshop, I suggest that the turorials should be able to be downloaded as a PDF for those of us who may not remember the steps to perform the actions after one quick reading of the tutorial. *See screenshot.
Generative fill needs to come up in its own window like Content-aware fill so that you can accept and apply the results in order to get charged a generative credit. Users should not be getting credits deducted for unwanted or unusable results unless you vastly increase the credit alotment.
I work wiht a shitton of brushes.I like how they added folders but it's still hard to find or move your favourite brushes when you have a large amount of them. Some ideas for finding things easier:-Brush bookmark tag -> Show bookmarked brushes-Brush color tags -> like with layers; being able to set different colors for each brush -> I would find this very helpful since we would be able to easily customize which brush gets tagged.Reason: Each project I work on might need different sets of brushes from my library and I can't afford to search again and again through them as I switch between work. Some are better for painting some are better for lineworkThis for a dynamic workflow. Thank you!
There may already be something out there on this.Working in Selection mode and want to make more than 1 change to a selection. I find I am able to only select one item ie "Expand" a follow on dialogue box appears as to how many pixels then disappears. Be great if the user can change more than one thing here. I know the Select and Mask screen allows multiple changes. However, be nice to be able to float the Modify screen out IOT make mutiple changes. ie Expand and Smooth. PS is an awesome program. Just wanted to see what others think.
Hello,I try the KI to Generate Objects or Expand Pictures. But the AI is a "Child" to other AI Companys. To make it better bring the Funktion that User can give the AI Templates so the AI can learn better. At this time is the Adobe AI Years away from "Lexica" i try the Website. I Believe only one that can create 80-100% perfect things or Persons 80% Realistic . Many work for Adobe to bring the AI to do that.
This request is pretty simple. Presently, photoshop does not allow selecting multiple layers and deleting anything from them at once while using the marquee tool. Technically, I do not see any logical or technical reason for this restriction. To repro: 1. create two layers, paint something in both of them2. shift select both layers3. use marquee tool to select areas you painted in both layers4. hit delete User should be able delete pixels from both layers at the same time, but currently has to select only one layer at a time, which can be inconvenient in some circumastances. Its a small request, but nice QoL feature. I am running the latest Photoshop - 25.3.1
I have a workflow where I would like copies of linked artwork with identical transformations. The simplest way to do this is to right click the smart object and select "Create new smart object via copy". The problem is, only embedded smart objects have the "Create new smart object via copy" option available. It took me quite a long time of searching the web to figure out that to create a new smart object via copy, it must be an embedded smart object instead of a linked smart object (both of which appear very similarly in the ui to someone not knowing there's a difference). I'd like to be able to make a new smart object via copy in the same way for linked smart objects as I can currently do so with embedded smart objects.
Hi there, Could we add a visibility/opacity strength attribute to change the visual intensity of the Marching Ants, or create an alternative visible selection of whats selected. Yes, I know you can hide them, but the bounding box also hides (for skewing), and, I would like to still see what is selected rather than have it visible or not, as well as know where the corners are of the bounding box. The issue is that thin line art or thin contents are proving difficult to see if I'm skewing, move, rotating, etc, and when making minor adjustments the marching ants are very dominant. Even if there an alternative selection view instead of marching ants, such as the content of a layer, determined by it's opacity is given a bright colour.Im not looking to replace what is there, but, give an alternative option for ease of use, it's very distracting to have a moving selection when trying to make changes to line art. Request: add two capabilities to the text feature of Photoshop:Auto Fit: Automatically have the text resized so that it can fit within the existing text box.Copy & Paste: Enable copy and paste from other programs (Word or Pages) into the text box where the existing formatting will be maintained.Issue: It requires multiple steps to create text boxes without these two featuresWorkflow Impact: A text box can be created in 1/3rd the time (assuming a full text box) if these features are enabled. Most programs have these: Microsoft, Google, and Apple.Basic steps to reproduce the problems: Create a text box covering the canvas on 1920 x 1080. Type text that can be over 1 ½ of this text box. The customer must resize the text box grab the handles and position them to fit the corners on both sides. Secondly, when a customer copies and pastes already formatted text from Word it has to be completely reformatted. Underlining takes an especially long time.
It's a well known issue, that you can't change the canvas size, when smart filters (like liquify on a smart object e.g.) were done. There should at least pop up a warning, if any smart filter is detected and the user is going to change the canvas size or doing any other action, that will result in wrong recalculation of the smart filters. These small filters were mostly hidden, even when you look at the layer you have first to open the small panel. So this is always a dangerous trap.I can't count how often I had to rework for hours, because there have been nested objects with smart filters, that have been forgotten by someone. Thanks for looking at this.
Request: The Photoshop History Tab should have the same level of detail as the Actions tabIssue: The history tab only specifies the function, without any details:Re-size: Image SizeSaveSet BackgroundActions tab: In contrast, the Actions tab provides details of what was done with each function:Resize: Image Size: specifies the algorithm used, height & width, type of, etc.Save: specifies file type (i.e. JPG) the quality (i.e. 10), location, etc.Set Background: specifies opacity, Mode, etc.Click on Step: When you click on the step the Image Size settings choices dialog box appears.Workflow Impact: The customer has no details of the settings he used for the various functions. This can result in the customer having to recreate/repeat his work which wastes a lot of time.Basic steps to reproduce the problem: Open Raw file/Image/image size/Change Resolution to 180 and select Automatic for the algorithm.Expected result: On the history panel it displays the % reduction in dimensions and the
When setting a point precisely, e.g. using the "Perspective Crop tool" or "Pencil tool" - it would be great to have the cursor area magnified on-the-fly at pixel level so it is easy to see where to click.Snag-IT uses this feature when making screen captures and you are actually able to nudge pixel direction using the arrow-keys before doing the selection (see picture). That would be awesome to have in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Merci !TG
It would be aweome to have more colors and better options for actions/button mode. I would like to have more than one instance of the actions menu, so they can be docked in different locations. Allow actions to have an advanced button mode with icons instead of text only
I tried out the new generative expand in all directions thingy today. At first glance it looked quite impressive. Closer inspection revealed a few flaws.Problem 1: I drag out my canvas in PS using the crop tool - then expand the original image. The generated expansion doesn't fill the canvas - there's an annoying small gap around the outside. Not sure if this is just my settings, Win 10 or a general problem. If other people are affected can we get the generated fill to exceed the size of the canvas by a few pixels please.Problem 2: The generated expansion alters the original considerably. Example. - picture of house has small tower - blue sky above - trees to the right - hedge to the left.Expand doesn't give me more blue sky - it adds a crenallation to the top of the tower, what appears to be disgarded rubbish appears in the new hedge to the left, the trees to the right get taller and the conifer to the extreme right gets replaced completely by a decid
A new update was just released featuring draggable fade point and effects for audio. And I would like to request that you implement the EXACT same functionality for speed ramping video. The process to make a speed ramp is far to clunky for an editing technique that has become so prevalent and popular. Literally just add the same drag points at the top of video clips and allow for different shapes of ramps, etc, EXACTLY the same interface as the new Dragable audio fade points.Thank you
Here the bug topic I opened : https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/photoshop-2024-is-not-able-to-open-a-big-png-file-i-got-64-gb-ram-could-not-open-image-because-o/idc-p/14362762 I am able to open 508836 x 4188 pixels PNG image file both inpaint .net and also in Gimp but photoshop fails even at 383652 x 3143 pixels this is unacceptable
Just one of those things that i've always thought could come in REALLY handy. I have no idea how the actuality of this function would work due to all the possible complexities of the contents within a layer group... but wow, i often think i'd love to clip some adjustment layers to a Layer Group. I am aware of the Pass through to Normal feature but it doesn't really cut it.
I have used Photoshop for over ten years and my work involves with enlarging artwork inside Photoshop. The dialogue box upon opening a file like pdf, the one where you can resize the file and set ppi, etc., is constantly loading whenever you change any value. If the file size is too big, it freezes your computer until it finishes doing some weird calculation. I don't need it to start calculating when I haven't even finished typing or changing values. Calculate after I hit ok! I can't believe this is not in Photoshop yet!
Hello, displacement maps are so powerful. However, the implementation is so clunky. Having to save a psd, then guess the settings, load the psd to see how it looks. If it's not correct to have to do it again. It would be nice to have a visual real time preview of the map and be able to adjust settings and see what's happening.
