Photoshop Elements

Can I upgrade a purchased Elements 2020 18.0 to a 2021?I'm not sure since I purchased and don't have the subscription. (In Elements 2021 there's a Guided/Special Edits/Perfect landscape I want but not avaialble in 2020Thanks!

I am currently working in Photoshop Elements 2020.  Facial recognition has found many of the faces in my pictures, but seems to have stopped.  I still have many faces unlabeled. (I have about 50,000 photos im my Organizer if that is at all pertinent).This is my 3rd version of Photoshop, so I suspect from reading other posts that there may be some problem with how the catalog was imported.  I found directions tha suggested renaming the "BreezeData" file might help, but I don't seem to have one.I can't find the facial analysis progress bar anywhere.I have already tried turning off the setting that makes the recognition run automatially then closing and rebooting Elements, and turning it back on again without success.I have received the following notice of an update to install, but so far have been unsuccessful at that as well. Thanks in advance for your time and suggestions.Please be gentle; I'm not overly "techie."Amy D.

Lors des deux dernières mises à jour, j'ai perdu l'indexation des milliers de photos stockées dans votre base d'index.Cette année, pour éviter les dysfonctionnements à répétition de ce logiciel, j'ai choisi de l'installer dans sa version complète (par opposition à une simple mise à jour). L'installation de la version d'essai n'a pas pu avoir lieu, avec installation complémentaire et désinstallation du module cloud à l'aide des fiches d'aide y relatives.En imaginant qu'en supprimant toute trace de PSE sur mon ordinateur et en installant une nouvelle version complète le problème serait résolu : il ne l'est pas. Installation et désinstallation n'y font rien. Tous les programmes échouent à s'installer correctement jusqu'au bout, ou à se désinstaller correctement (y compris à l'aide du logiciel dédié Revo Uninstaller).Et comble du comble, je ne peux même pas recharger sur mon ordinateur dans sa version Windows

I have Windows 11 which I use Photoshop CC and Lightroom which runs fine, I also have Photoshop Elements 15, this I use now and again.For some reason now when I boot Elements 15 it  begins to load and then crash, can anybody help ?. This has only just started to happen up until now it has worked fine.

I have Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements 2022, shortly after Mac boot up I get two messages, the first one is followed a few minutes later by the second one, I suspect I get two messages because I have Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. The error is the same both times "PhotoshopServer quit unexpectedly"My Mac is macOSMonterey Version 12.3.This started happening after I updated to macOS Catalina version 10.15. I had been using Elements 19 with no problem under macOS Mojave version 10.14. I upgraded to Elements 21 but still the same problem.I updated to macOS version 11 Big Sur and then to Monterey version 12 and still had the problem so I have just bought Elements 2022 upgrade thinking that would fix the problem - unfortunately (and VERY ANNOYINGLY) it didn't!!So I have wasted my money and time by upgrading to two versions of Photoshop/Premiere Elements that I didn't need!WHY IS THIS HAPPENING AND WHAT IS THE FIX???

Hi All,When updating the catalog in Organizer 2022 it skipped a particular subfolder no matter what I did. Finally tried bulk import. That worked, but the folder icon has a binocular as part of the icon. What does that mean? Also, why did the organizer consistantly skip one particular subfolder out of the tree I told it to scan? My folder tree is e:/pictures/... with years 2000 through 2022. It always skipped the 2022 folder. There are other folders past 2022 that it did pick up.

Really not sure why Adobe has referred me to community support for a product I have just purchased from them which won't install! I purchased an upgrade to 2022 Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements yesterday (in frustration because my older version stopped running and wouldn't reinstall). However, when I run the installer it freezes at 4% and just never progresses. Kind of annoying as I had a deadline which is why I rushed to purchase rather than trying to resolve the other version. And now I still can't use either which is VERY annoying and I am about to ask for a refund, unless anyone has any ideas. Thanks

I'm using Element 2022 Organizer to identify people in various photos. It appears that I can either mark faces in each photo with names (either manually or using auto-recognize). Or I can simply assign a people tag to the photo. Both seem to do the job of allowing me to find photos containing a specific person or group. However, I'm not sure of the pros and cons of using eith method. If I use the "face marking" only to tag people in a photo, will this improve or degarde the auto-recognize feature? Many faces are not fully visible or just the back of a head. When I just tag the full photo with a name, do I lose anything. Thanks for any guidance.

Hi everyone, as the title says, the installer for PE12 is not compatible with Catalina. Is there a workaround or a different installer I can download from somewhere? Any advice on what to do here would be much appreciated!

Enregistrement de fichier sous le format .PDF.Je viens de télécharger la version d'évaluation de Potoshop Elements 2022 et je m'étonne de ne pas trouver le choix .PDF dans "Enregistrer sous". On y trouve à la place le format MP4.Par acquit de conscience, j'ai installé la version Photoshop Elements 2021 et je trouve bien le format .PDF sous "Enregistrer sous" comme toutes les anciennes versions. Serait-ce un bug ?

Bonjour,les deux logiciels arrivent sur la page de présentation. Je clique sur le bouton EDITEUR DE PHOTOS puis le CHARGEMENT DE L'ESPACE DE TRAVAIL ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS EDITOR  se met sur l'écran avec une petite roue qui tourne et quand la roue s'arrête Plus rien. Pas de logiciel.Merci pour votre aide

Hello everybody, I've upgraded to a new Macbook with macOS 12.2. After checking my applications I noticed an old installation of Adobe Photoshop Elements 13.It doesn't start and also the uninstaller isn't working anymore. How can I remove it completly manually? Thanks in advance.Best regards Sven

Hallo zusammen,ich hoffe, mir kann hier vielleicht jemand weiterhelfen...Ganz kurz zur Thematik:Aktuell bedroht ja wieder eine kritische Schwachstelle namens "Spring4Shell" in der VMWare Tanzu Spring Framework die Informationssicherheit von Unternehmen.Hierbei handelt es sich um ein quelloffenes Framework für die Java-Plattform, welches auch für die Programmierung von Web-Anwendungen verwendet wird.Die Schwachstelle würde das Ausführen von beliebigen Programmcode der Risikostufe 5 ermöglichen.Nun zu meiner Frage:Gibt es beim Anwenden von Photoshop Elements diesbezüglich aktuell irgendwelche Bedenken, dass diese Sicherheitslücke hier auch ausgenutzt werden könnte?Oder gibt es ggf. dafür schon Bugfixes die diese Lücke schließen?Vielen Dank bereits vorab  Grüße Max

Hello everyone, After years of only using Corel products I'm trialing Photoshop Elements, so would be very grateful for some help with a few questions. The first of those is a cropping problem, I'm attempting to print a landscape orientated photo on the to top half of an A4 sheet; the selected print size is 12.7 x 17.8, and in the preview window it looks absolutely fine, but when I print the image it comes out the correct height but cropped on both sides, so basically square. What am I missing? Thanks for any help

The photos are not of the same size. 

I have just started with Face Recognition. Some photos are coming up in the wrong stacks. How can I edit, remove one image from a stack? I mistyped a name and now have two stacks for one person. How can I correct this?

Can anybody recommend a good alerternative to Photoshop Elements?  I wanted to get 2021, but it doesn't run on my ancient High Sierra Mac.  Unfortunately, Adobe don't offer 2020 anymore, and I don't really want to chance it with a used version.  Has anybody used Affinity?  It seems like it might be as good.  I'm sure there'll be a learning curve, because I've been using Photoshop for many years, but I'll probably figure out Affinity relatively quickly.  Would be interested to hear from people that have used it ... or a different alternative.

The following started happening on Mac (version info below): 1. I run PSE. It works fine.2. I close PSE.3. I click on the PSE to run it again4. The icon just bounces indefinitely, and the app doesn't start. If I reboot the Mac, PSE will work again. I've tried resetting the preferences, but the problem persists I've been reluctant to uninstall/reinstall because last time I tried that, it wouldn't reinstall, and I had to upgrade. Any suggestions for fixing this? Thanks. 

I can see several people have the same issues. Mine Monterey 12.0.1 on a Apple MacBook Pro 16 inch using Photoshop Elements 2021. The Photo-Editor stops/no response. Only a quit and reboot helps. A full shut down and try again seems to work sometimes. Any suggestions please? Tried to contact Support directly but no reply. Concerned as I have a new MacBook Pro on order with Max1 and I understand Photo Elements 2022 doesn't work here either. Comments or help please?

Hello Everyone!  I am very new to photoshop and have looked up tutorials  and tried them on how to get the grainy/blurry appearance from this picture I sent below.  I don't know how to do many things but am trying and learning daily.  I appreciate any help,  Kindest Regards R  

I can only use PSE 2021 once then I need to restart my laptop to use it again. I have checked in activity monitor and it is not running when I try to launch it the second time. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, launching it from the applications directory etc. And it makes no difference. I am running MacOS Monteray 12.2.1. When I quit PSE 2021 it freezes and you can see 2 instances not responding in force quit. When you force quit 1 instance both instances disappear.  This really isn't good enough I have only had the package less than 6 months and now it is unusable.

Photoshop elements editor not working in Monterey 12.0.1

April 2022. I am still having the same problem using Elements 2022 v20 on Mac OS Monterey 12.3.I can cut and paste text into Save As but I can't cut or paste text into Save for Web.This worked with every other version!PLEASE FIX THIS !!

My photographer put his comapny logos on our photos and then lost our original files. It seems like a text box/"Wet Marks". How do I remove this from photos. These are our very important memories. Please help. I'm a bit of a beginner but I did purchase Adobe Photoshop 2022. Please see attached photo.

Please can someone help me with this issue. I am trying to create a custom Photo Collage template in PSE 2022 (due to the restrictions of 8 photos in included guided templates) by following an online YouTube tutorial. But the photos when added are covering the stroke outline?What I did:-1) Created new A4 page with white background2) Divided up the page with guides (50% for vertical and 20%,40% etc to divide horizontally giving 8 rectangles)3) Used the selection tool to drag a rectangle around each section of page and created a new layer for each4) Filled each layer with an adhoc colour5) Selected the layer and used Edit > Stroke(Outline) Selection and chose 30pix inside on in white6) Dragged a photo onto template and dragged new photo layer in layer pallette above the rectangle I wanted it displayed7) Adjusted image size and then right clicked on image layer and selected Create Clipping Mask.Image duly went behind chosen rectangle but it now it obscures the stroke outline of the tem
