Photoshop Elements

I've just upgraded to PSE 2022 and whenever I try to save a RAW file as a jpg, I get an error message telling me that '...file not found. Check the file file name and try again.' The system seems to default to a PSD file. I've searched the programme choices, forums, the internet and nothing can be found to resolve this issue. Anybody know what to do? 

when changing background...select subject....move tool.  With Elements 2022 you can no longer resize selection.  Why is that??   It was a useful tool when changing backgrounds. 

Does anyone know how to use a defined fixed point with the clone stamp tool as a brush? I've been able to make a custom brush with a fixed point but am looking to use the colour pallet as well as the texture from the fixed point and use as a brush. 

This morning I did an free update to my purchased Viveua 3 (update 4.3.4) and now my Photoshop Elements will not open at all.  It opens for 0.5 seconds and closes and says "Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor quit unexpectedly."   I am running Elements 2020 on a Mac.

PSE 21, I don't see 'befoe and after' in Expert mode (it's in the other 2 modes). Can someone help?

Is there a way to rearrange the photo order in an Elements 2022 slide show?

I'm trying to create an animated GIF birthday card for a niece. I'm using PSE 2022 on a Win 10 PC. I'm using two images - each is 1650 px X 2550 px. When I check the "Animate" box in the Save for Web dialog I get a message that the image is too big and I need to reduce the image size or the number of layers. There are only two layers, so how much smaller do I need to make the images? They are now 1650 x 2550 px.

Is it possible to buy a disk copy of the 2022 version of PSE?

I have just upgraded from PSE10 to PSE15 via an upgrade pack (Win 10 PC). It installed  and eventually completed its background image reviews, but I cannot get it to respond when I click on any of the top line drop-down menus e.g. File or Edit. It won't even open the Import drop-down menu, though there is a screen flicker when I click it as if something is going to happen.I can move around the photos OK and the Editor seems to work OK so far.Any thoughts?

I want to restore my catalog to a new computer using Windows 11..My backup file is on OneDrive.  Instructions at  https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html#Movecatalogrestoretoanothercomputer show 2 options; restore to "Original Location" or "New Location".  My new Photoshop Elements 20.0.0 does not give two options. It just asks me to choose a folder. What folder do I choose?On my old computer the folder was C:\ Programdata\Adobe|Elements Organizer\Catalogs.  My new computer does not have a folder C:\ProgramDataMy objective is to mainatin as much of my ctaalog detail and structure as possible.

How many photos will Elements put into one photo collage?  Is it dependent on paper size?

After successfully using PSE 2021 for a few weeks, not the Editor doesn't launch anymore. Any idea how to fix this?  Thank you  very much for your help.  I use a Macbook Pro 2018 with macOS Mojave, 10.14.6 (18G7016)

Hello,I bought Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements in October 2021 after Upgrading to Big Sur.Now I would like to upgrade to Monterey and after months still the 2021 Adobe products are not able to work correctly with Monterey????? Is this a way to force customers into subcriptions? Please notice that there are some people who use these programs only for private projects once in a while who don't have the money to pay for packages they will never use.Please update the 2021 Elements for Monterey use. Thanks in advance.

Hi:When I bought my Nikon D500 I also ordered Photoshop Elements 2021 for Camera Raw 13.0.The PSE 2021 Elements Organizer-Photo Downloader recognizes the D500 photos on the SDXC memory card. With the CFexpress card, however, the Elements Organizer-Photo Downloader does not recognize the D500 nor the photos.But Windows 10 does. On the Windows 10 File Explorer is: >Nikon D500 >DCIM >100ND500 and the photos. I can get these photos by >Elements Organizer >File >Get Photos and Videos >From Files and Folders, then to Windows 10 File Explorer >Nikon D500 >DCIM >100ND500, select photos >Get Media.Is there a more direct way to set this up so that the Elements Organizer-Photo Downloader recognizes the D500 photos on the CFexpress card in the same way it does for the SDXC card: >Elements Organizer >File >Get Photos and Videos >From Camera or Card Reader, select photos >Get Media. Running out of space on my laptop so I decided to move all videos to external drives. I would like to make a separate catalogue for these to preserve the tags, etc, while avoiding the complications of working on the existing catalogue with drives not attached. I'm guessing I could then create two identical catalogues with different names and eliminate photos from one and videos from the other so I only have to keep drives plugged in when I'm working with the video catalogue. I'm afraid if I do backup and restore I will end up with duplicates of all the images and their folder structure and have a big mess. But I can't find instructions for how to copy only the catalogue informatin without the files. And if I can manage to make a duplicate, can I rename it?

Can I use elements 12 on a galaxy note 20 ultra. 

In the Elements Organizer (PSE 18), I run a search based on a keyword. The resulting grid shows the results. When I double-click on one of the photos to view it, I then have the option of scrolling through the rest of the photos using the scroll arrows near the top of the screen (e.g.   <   2 of 114   > ). At that point, I can also click on Back to get back to the search results grid. But as soon as I take any action on one of the photos (delete, edit), the Back button no longer take me back to the Search results. Instead, the grid I return to contains every item in my catalog. I need to click on the keyword tag again in order to get just those items back in the grid. Is there a way to go right back to the grid I was working in, without needing the extra click?

Why does it say the monitor profile appears to be defective each time I open up the editor? How do I rerun the monitor callibration software?Is it do do with Windows 11?

Am working in Places and the program crashes every few minutes. Anyone have a solution? There was a Windows 11 update a week or two that improved things somewhat, but not any more.

In the Cookie Cutter toolbar I use to have a solid cirlce tool option and a circle border option. It now only show the circle border which elminates everything in the center and outside of the circle. How can I get the solid circle tool back? Attached is an image of my screen showing the circle border tool and other tools. The solid cirlce is no longer there. I have tried resetting the tools with no changes. I am unsure if it was removed during an update. Thanks for any help in advance.  

So I am always hesitant to upgrade my MacOS when everything is working well. I made the mistake of upgrading from Catalina to Monterey a couple of days ago. Now experiencing problems with Elements 2021. The first time I ran it no probem. Opened an image, edited it and save it. A few hours later I try to open another image and Elements hangs up and I need to force quit. Chatted with support and was surprised to find out that I need to purchase Elements 2022 (something about legacy issues). Support agent didn't really seem to care. I have had previous versions of Elements that worked fine through many of the "Mountain" OS upgrades. The odd thing is if I delete Elements, re-download and install it again will work once and then not again. There has to be a fix for this other than purchasing Elements 2022. Very frustrated with Adobe.

First of all I need explanations in plain language if possible as my computing skills are limited.I have  a Windows 10 laptop with about 25,000 photos organized in Albums in PSE2013 but I have just bought a new laptop and I am planning to install PSE2022. I want to make sure I can do this without losing all the captions , people recognition and clearly the albums in which the photos are organized. I remember reading some where that it was necessary first to save metadata to file but when I do this from the file menu it is using a lot of memory of which I am running short.Is that necessary and what is the best way to tranfer/copy from one laptop to the other? Last time when moving from version PSE10 to 13 I tried using the Back up catalog/ Restore catalog facility but it didn't work.

On Start up I get Photoshop Server Extension Code ERRORS = icuuc58.dll & icucnv58.dll code extension missing.How do I correct this?  RELOAD entire program?

I have Adobe PhotoShop Elements 2021 on Windows 11. When I start up my laptop I get two messages - PhotoShopServer.exe system error The code execution could not proceed because icucnv58.dll was not found.The second message is the same except it says icuuc58.dll.The program seems to works fine without them, but it's annoying. How do I fix it? Thanks.

I am using Photoshop Elements 10 on Windows 10.  I am still a beginner and would like to be pointede towards a tutorial for version 10, that would teach me the required skills. In the meantime...I have a night sky .jpeg photo which I have enhanced on my Windows 10 software, original and enhancement attached, having used the brightness controls within Windows to bring the night sky to life but that then bleaches the house and the tree in the foreground. How can I use Elements 10 to work on the sky part of the photo without changing the building and the tree?   I am using Photoshop Elements 10
