Photoshop Elements

Must my photos be saved locally in order to "open" them while in Photoshop Elements, or LIghtroom?  I am using a Mac and a PC with PSE and need an answer for both operating systems.  I have photos in iCloud but can't find a way to select it for editing.  Would ANY cloud based service that allow you to backup photos work with either of these Adobe Products?   Please advise. How can you post multiple pictures in the Layers Panel in Elements 10

Hi there everyone, Ive seen an effect I've been trying to replicate recently with no joy and i was hoping someone here might know how to do it. If you look at the attachments you'll see coloured text boxes that have a light colour fading into a deeper version ie light yellow fading to deep yellow, light blue to deep blue etc. Does anyone know how to achieve this effect, is it something to do with bevelling or maybe a colour gradient thing?Also those colours are very vivid, are they on the normal palette or part of the effect? Im using photoshop elements in case that makes a difference, thanks to anyone who can offer any help, itss very much appreciated!! 

How can I get my access to RAW processing on my Elements 2018, which has recently been removed by Adobe? It was working perfectly well for my Olympus OMD 10 mark 2. Now it is gone! It will not allow me to install an update. How can I get it back without having to spend a fortune?Thanks,

I bought PS2021 in Augest (a few months) ago and I have yet to use it successfully. I have lots of RAM/HD/CPU and resources: AMD 5900x, 64Gig, Nvidia 3090, etc. I have already tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration in PS2021. PC: Windows 10 Pro and all drivers are continuosly up to date. I use lots of different software from programming environments, video conversion, to MS flight sim 2020 and I do not have any graphics problems. Display issue: I could probably make a video of it happening if I had to - essentially, the image on the screen does not update. I can sometimes see a change if I drag the window off of and then back onto the screen or minimize/restore the window. Generally speaking, I can see the various tools being selected when I click on them and color picker to me look okay. Here are a couple of good examples. Marquee: Draw a rectangle selection, I can see the dashes (not animated) while dragging it out but after letting go of mouse the marquee

I have issues while trying to edit a photo from Lightroom in elements 2021.  Ehen I start the Lightroom dialog to transfer a file to Elements, I get the following message, "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor could not be launched.".  While this message is appearing in Lightroom, My elements 2021 application has been launched but no file has been moved.  Next, I get the Lightroom message: "Lightroom was unable to prepare the selected file........for editing.  It will not be launched.". As soon as I click OK to each of these messages, The file transfers to Elements and Elements works perfectly.  Each time this happens, it takes about 5 minutes of my workflow time.   I contacted Photoshop Support.  My first contact took about 2 hours of my time while I had to produce a receipt proving that my software had been purchased by me (even though I am registered as a user on their website).  Then, the call center

I am using Photoshop Elements 10 on Win 7 PC.  I am trying to print multiple copies of one image on a single 8.5x11 sheet of paper? The images are artwork for buttons (to be used in button-making machine) so the dimensions must be exact on the duplicated images.  When I select Picture Package, the images are resized to fit the dimensions in the picture package. When I select Contact Sheet, the images are resized to fit the number of columns I selected.  Neither is acceptable.  How can I repeat the same image on a single piece of paper without having the system re-size the image?  I know that I can manually create a new PSE file and manually insert the images into this file.  This is what I have been doing as a work-around.   But I would hope there is a better/faster way.Thank-you!

Adobe needs to extract its digit and produce software fixes for Monterey. Very poor performance from Adobe  but the good news is that there are now a number of alternatives just as good.

Chatting with a user in a PSE elements page on Facebook:  All the photos in the photobin were getting printed, when they only wanted one to print. They are on a mac using pse 2021, I use pse 2022. I has a simliar issue a while ago, I fixed it for me by updating my printer driver- which I hadn't done in over a year anyway.I stumbled across an idea this morning, and it solved the users problem.   Does this work for others?

I wonder if I am the only one with the following issue: When I want to use the new crop tool in the PSE2021 Camera raw plugin, the tool is so slow as being totally unusable. Either dragging the guides or moving the photo behind the selection is virtually impossible and reacts totally randomly. If I use the full ACR version with Bridge or Photoshop, using the tool is fluid, and the speed is normal. I do not speak about the new implementation of the ACR crop tool, which I find totally unintuitive and akward to use, as also appears in a lot of complaints in the feedback forum, only on the speed to move the selection or the image.   I have disabled Acronis active protection, which formerly slowed down ACR seriously. When I click on the PSE 2021 app, I get the home page.  I then click on Photo Editor and it says loading and then just stops.  I am not prompted to download Rosetta 2.  Sometimes I'm prompted to update/purchase/fix Adobe Creative Cloud but I have never subscribed to that before and don't wish to pay more.  I re-installed PSE 2021 from the disc I purchased but the same conditions apply.

I am using Elements 2022 on a PC. I have gone through many iterations. I have one catalog but my photos are scattered all over my disk in different sub folders. I want to consolodate my photos in one folder on my hard disk but maintain the sub folders under the new top folder. My guess is that this involves some combination of "moving" to a temporary disk and then "moving" back to my original disk (as opposed to using back up and restore which might organize the photos in one place but leave all the pre-restore photos in place). If somone could walk me through the steps I would appreciate it. I find the directions on Adobe somewhat opaque and this is too critical a project for a mistake. Thank you.

I recently upgraded from PSE 2021 to 2022. I can see a folder of my photos in the Creative Cloud but can't access or save to that within 2022. I've checked all of the settings in 2022 and can't seem to figure out what's wrong. Can someone help with this?

I have Photoshop Elements 12. I have previously registered it with Adobe and it is shown in my account. I recently had to reinstall my Windows 7 due to a malware attack.I have been able to reload my Elements 12, but it will not allow me to run it. It require me to register it but will not connect me to Adobe to allow me to reregister.How can I now use the Elements 12 I have paid for?

This is my first time shooting in RAW with my NIKON 5600. I downloaded two images to PSE 2022, successfully navigated the sophisticated edits (hurray!) and clicked "done".  However, I can't figure out how to save the images as JPEG. Looked all over.  Thanks in advance,Diane

I made an error earlier and accidentally selected "don't show again" against an Unnamed face stack. Is there a way to effectively undo what I did. I don't really want to have to forget all the faces and restart the recognition process from scratch again (it's taken me 4 hours to get to this point).  In anticipation .....

I just purchased PS/Premier Elements 2022 and have two questions: First, the download doesn't seem to be moving past 16%, which is where it's been for about 10 minutes now (and the download was supposed to have been completed within 8-10 minutes, according to the Adobe window). Should I cancel the operation and start over? Which brings me to my second question. Do I need to remove Elements 2020 before installing 2022? Or will it override it automatically? Thank you!! 

HelloI searched the forum but couldn’t find any pointers on this subject. I am a new user of Mac Photoshop Elements 2022 and it’s going well. However, I have a handful of LR XMP files that were once in heavy rotation that I would like to use again. When I open an image in ACR and Browse the Profiles, there is the option (clicking on three dots/dropdown) to Import Profiles and Presets. But when I go to my folder of XMP’s, the folder opens, but the XMP’s are grayed out. Are these XMP files the incorrect type or is importing not really an option? (Am curious to why it’s offered if so.) Can they be modified to work? Any direction on this is appreciated. I’d like to use my past creations, if possible. Thanks!

Adobe TechElements 2020 & Elements 2022 have both failed to print after Big Sur update from OS 11.6.1 to 11.6.2 on iMac. Epson printer SC P800, driver V10.85 latest.. Have tried resetting all printer settings and installing usb print driver again. Have reset computer permissions, given hard drive repair, all without success. After trying to print the editor freezes, and force quit has to be used ? Have also tried re-installing 2020 that originally printed but failed to print ?Strangely I am able to print from both Affinity Photo, and Capture One Pro 2022 without a problem ?This is serious and needs to be fixed guys. Have been using Elements since version 2..Apple suggested in a popup work around to use Airprint, unfortunately there is no ability to set profiles or other setttings for a high end print. App is un useable if I cannot print from it ! Your help in resolving this would be appreciated,RegardsKevin James

Hi,in my experience, it start and work (speed is not great) but the big problem is when I close it, because it won't to start again unless I restart my Mac.Another bug is about opening a .psd file, when i double click on a .psd file with PSE 2022 closed, it doesn't start.Mac Mini 2020 (2018) six core, 32GB RAM.

I am using PSE 15. I have several thousand photos in 2 catalogues, all of which have been given tags over the years. I have just noticed that mainaly people tags are missing on the majority. More recent ones from 2021 are ok but all the rest in both catalogues are gone. Is there a date filter that I have clicked accidentally? I can't see one, or is there any other reason? Retagging around 20,000 photos is not a task I welcome.

Hello, I have in PSE2022 two catalogues. now I would like to move pictures from the one to the other catalogue. I tried to do this via "import from files..." but the picture gets imported without the keywords/tags. How can I move from one catalogue to the other without loosing this key information? I hope someone knows it.

I am having trouble downloading my new 2022 PSE.  I already have the Monterey downloaded.  I read there's issues.  Any solutions yet, so I can get it installed?  It installs up to 8 percent but pretty much just stays there.

I upgraded my Windows 10 to Windows 11 yesterday.  I have Photoshop Elements 2020 and now when I go to Instant Fix, make changes, click on Save, it freezes.  The photos I am trying to edit are photos I downloaded to PE2020 from my iPhone 8 today.  After editing, I always click on Done 3 times after clicking on Save, which takes me back to my photos with the Information window on the right.  Now I have to close out of Instant Fix, taking me back to my Photoshop Elements 2020 window where I click on Organizer to get back to my photos.  Is there something I have to adjust in Windows 11 or PE2020?
