Photoshop Elements

Functional version of Photoshop Elements 14 up until November 12, 2021I got this error:The code execution cannot proceed because the msvcp110.dll file was not foundwhen opening the program. I've uninstalled/restarted/reinstalled the program several times over the last 3 hours.Another fix I've tried. I have gone to the windows page:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170Downloaded the file. Deleted the file in elements and pasted the file in the folder.This does not work. What am I doing wrong? Phone support will not assist here because they say my 6 year old functional product is not supported anymore.

Hi - I know that some data is sent to Adobe when I use Elements.  Among the introductory screens it said that this could be changed in preferences.  Where in preferences would I do this?  Thanks.

What newer operating system on Mac will still support Elements 13?  I have a friend who is hesitant to use a newer version of Elements but needs to upgrade a MacBook Pro which is currently running El Capitan! Mary Lou  

After uploading the MontereyOS two days ago, Photoshop Elements 2021 will not open.  What's the solution?  

I am new to Elements and Organizer, and it is not intuitive. I have over 3000 pictures from my cruise, and I am a linear person. I want to look at things in chronological order, from the start of the cruise (the oldest pictures) at the top to the end of the cruise at the bottom.I see that I can sort oldest first in a day, but it looks like the only choice is to have the newest date first???😞Am I missing something?

Pretty much what it says in the subject. I have a dl version of adobe Photoshop Elements 14. (I do not have a subscription neither do I want one. I got the dl version of photoshop exactly for this reason.) I'm perfectly content with it. One of the installations is on an old computer that I threw out something like 5 years ago but I never bothered to deactivate the device because I didn't really have any reason to until now. I changed computers a while ago and now I can't install PS on this one because it tells me maximum of devices reached. I thought I would just take a look at my account and deactivate the old devices, but to my grand surprise it says I have no activated devices. But when I start photoshop it still says it can't activate because maximum devices have been reached. Can anybody tell me how to fix this, or get me an e-mail address to the helpdesk? I am recovering a Windows 10 laptop after a SSD crash. My system was backed up with a remote hard disk. I did not use the Organizer Elements back up. My problem is that my catalog will not load.  It looks like everything is in place (see below) but when I go to manage catalogs the open box is grayed out even after selecting My Catalog.  How can I get My Catalog back?  

I have a new laptop with a UHD display (3840x2400). I have already set the size of the text to 300% but however the fonts in Elements are very small, almost unreadable, in the Preferences I haven't found anything, is there any possibility to increase them?

How do you shut off the auto cropping (Crop Suggestions) feature in PS Elements 2018/Expert mode? It frequently messes up manual crops when attempting to make them. If there is a setting for this, I can't find it. It can be  quite annoying. Thank you.

My .tif files are scans of 35mm film negatives. Photoshop Elements 2020 used to allow me to drag and drop these images to edit but now I get a message : Could not complete your request because Photoshop Elements does not recognize this type of file.As this was working fine until now I deleted Elements and reinstalled. I was even offered a package update which I also installed. This has unfortunately not solved the problem. It does accept JPEG files.All I could find on line was information regarding RAW files but not .tifI would be grateful for any suggestions.

Had to do a new install od Win 10.  When I reinstalled PSE 22 from my download files I got a message it couldn't launch, error code 11.  Creating a shortcut did not help.

I have 1 license of Elements. I have uninstalled the software and unlinked from the PC in my Adode account. However (and after talking to an online support person) when I use the license key it states it is already in use and - if I try more than 3 times - it accuses me of using a torrent key. This product is not expensive, but I am going mad trying to find a solution. My only conclusion is that Adobe are trying to kill off all perpetual licenses to force users on to subscription. Any ideas please?

I want to know if Elements 2022 can organize by category, sub-category, etc to locate photos in a group or a specific item. For Example: Birds, waterfowl, dabbling ducks, mallards ?

Every so often, I go into Organizer, and need to convert my psds into jpegs.  These are ones I have forgotten to do when editing, and there could be as many as 100.  At present, I edit again each individual picutre, make a small change then save as a jpeg.  Is there a quicker method?  Thank you.

I'm a long time Photoshop user but decided to give Elements a try. I tried a few of my psd files and everything in the layers menu is grayed out.  Thinking it may be the photos, I downloaded one from the Adobe stock photo website and opened that. Same thing. Can someone help me out here? How do I get layers?  Also while we're at it, where are the selection tools, like the square, circle, pen, and all that? Do they not exist in Elements?  Did they make Elements really frustrating so everyone will buy or stick with the more expensive Photoshop? 😉 

Can anyone tell me, with Photoshop Elements 2020, is there an easy way to open multiple files as separate layers in a single image?At the moment, I seem to have to open them all then individually Select All; Edit -> Copy then Paste into the combined image.TIA

Most experienced photographers suggest shooting in RAW mode.  For this reason and due mostly to an issue that I had with my camera over-exposing images, I switched to using RAW files and began to use Adobe Camera RAW to initially edit the images.  However, that lead me to have the following questions:-1)  In the Camera RAW dialog, the Open Image button passes the processed RAW data into Photoshop Elements to continue editing.  So my first question is how much of the RAW data is passed to PE?  All of it or just what has been necessary to produce the image on the screen using the settings from the Camera RAW dialog?2) If the answer to Q1 is not all of the data, then is the recommendation that as much of the editing should be done in Camera RAW before opening the image in PE for the last few tweaks?Thanks.

Using PSE for digital scrapbooking, I used to be able to make cute titles out of my various papers but lost the directions. How can I use a font to type a title and then stamp or cut it out of a separate piece of paper to capture that color and pattern and then place into my page (In other words, creating a patterned paper title)?  I seem to remember maybe using a blank page, doing some copying and pasting and having marching ants showing me it was cut out and I could paste it into my digital scrapbook page.  

I recently did a clean install of everything in my iMac and upgraded to system 10.14.6 Mojave. (Yes, I realize I'm a bit behind the times). Since I have been unable to install or activate my Photoshop Elements 13 program which I have used on this computer for years (although with an earlier version of my OS). I have tried from the beginning several times, from scratch, and it always tells me I am not connected to the internet when I clearly AM connected. I try to get an offline validation and it tells me I need to generate a "response code" which I can't do without a "request code" but there is NOTHING anywhere that tells me how to get a "request code". I have tried everything I can come up with, and my much more computer savvy daughter has also tried to do it. We have given up. Unless there is some sort of simple answer that will make this software work I'm going to surrender and this will simply be the last Adobe product I ever try to use again. If Elements 13 simply isn't compatible

I haven't been able to import and load as a frame any PSD file - a frame downloaded from the Internet.What can be the reason?

How many live installs of the latest Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 2022 can you have?  I recently got a hand-me-down laptop and would like to install the two programs on it. I already use the two on my home computer.  It used to be two live installs (I believe). Is that still the case?  Thanks for any help.  

Chat support infoms me it is not possible to make icons (.ico files) with PS Elements 2022 with Windows 10 operating system.  Can anyone recommend a trusted add-on that can take care of that for me?Thanks!
