Photoshop Elements

I have a student using Photoshop Elements 2020 on a Mac running Big Sur.  She cannot get the keyboard command to hide the current selection (Cmnd "H") to work.  I am using the same setup and this keyboard command works for me. What might she have done to lose this keyboard command? Mary Lou 

I am using PSE15.I have just created a new backup and I see .json files are still showing. I had already ensured that facial recognition was unticked and I had also performed the reset, so can anyone suggest why this is happening? Also could you tell me what the following files are in the backup just to help me understand the process?B0000000.cache.xmpBackup.tlycatalog.buc

Installed Mac is Monterey 12.0.1 on my MacBook Pro this morning and photoshop elements 2021 would not open after sleep mode and only reopens after shutting down and restarting the laptop. Has anyone else had this problem?    Title changed by Moderator

This is a continuing problem for me.  I've had restore my organizer 4 times in the last year due to catalog issues.  The latest occurred when  I booted organizer from an external drive -- where it is always kept -- and discovered the plug was not firmly planted.  The only Catalog it shows in my "Manage Catalogs " has nothing in it - the standard "My Catalog".  When I check in my lastest"backup" folders, I can see a "catalog.buc" file but can't seem to do anything with it.  Somehow anything I name the catalog when I have to do another one doesn't show up.  PLEASE help -- what am I doing wrong?  Is there someplace that the catalogs are put by default?? 

I've had quite the runaroudn trying to get Elements 13 to work again (it worked in this computer for years). AFter trying many solutions from Adobe and others in these forums I contacted their help via email and received this: "We would like to inform you that PSE 13 is too old and no longer available and supported Adobe and Secondly PSE 13 servers have been shut down. If you will try to install or update it further, then it will create conflict with your system. so, we can do is we provide you the Photoshop Elements 2021. My Photoshop Elements catalog contains around 60 000 pictures. It is painfully slow, in spite I have 32 Gb of ram and plenty of disk space, an Intel Core i7 4770K @ 3.50GHz processor and the latest version of the program. Windows 10. Repairing or optimizing the catalog doesn't help. So I would like to have a smaller catalog by splitting it in two or three smaller catalogs. Maybe this will make things go faster. Is it possible to do so? For instance one catalog for pictures before 2010, one 2010-2020, and one after 2020. Regards, Øivind Øvrebotten, Norway.

After noticing that my photos were taking forever to load on my website, I was told that my file sizes are much too large and need to be below 1MB in size to load faster. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 and know about the "Process Multiple Files" option. Unfortunately there's no way to change the actual file size, only the pixels. I need an option that lets me change the actual size of the files, hopefully at the same time.  Does anyone know if there's a way for me to process hundreds of files (that's how many need to be fixed!) so that the size is below 1MB? Thank you!!

After over an hour with the most unhelpful indian tech desk I have ever had the misfortune to encounter I am no closer to understanding if Elements 22 (Photoshop and Premiere) will work OK on a Macbook with an i5 processor. The requirements on the site state you need a "6th Generation" processor which I'm assuming is i6 so the answer would be "no" but the tech help desk seems to think it should work fine.Does anyone have any experience trying this?

For some reason, I can't apply (my own) frame to the document I'm editing.For the frame to be set, I have to save the document, close it, reopen it, and only then apply the frame to it. Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 20Windows 10 x 64

After moving Photoshop Elements 14 and it's catalog to a new computer, most, but not all, of my people icons/thumbnails are blurry even though the source picture is clear.  See attached for an example.  I've recreated all thumbnails but no improvement.  I also tried Photoshop Elements 2022 with not improvement.  Any ideas?

I have installed Photoshop elements 12 twice on the same Mac not realising you should uninstall the app first. My mac crashed and i had yo reinstall it a third time but when i get to the verify stage i can go no further.I have tried the chat line and have been told many many times they would phone me back, but i NEVER get a call. I tried the chat line again today and they said they do not support old versions. How the hell can they lock me out of a leagal copy of the app and just say "up yours".To say i am pi**ed off is an understatment!!

What am I missing?  Smart Objects are not disabled in my preferences. I'm using PS Elements 2018

Hello, i bought photoshop Elements 2021 few weeks ago and the version is 20210126 155261.I understand that there is a new version, the 2021.2 ( 20210304.m.156367) but i cannot obtain some update as the update button under "help" is greyed and not active (see attached picture).Could someone help me to update the software as none of the options are working as of now.  Thanks a lot

I bought Elements 2021 for Mac and I never got it to open! it just crashes when I attempt to open and asks me to send report to Apple and Adobe. I am disapointed I bought the software a few weeks ago and still can't use it. Any help? Thank you

What version of ACR is included in PSE 2022?  I don't want to upgade from PSE 2020 unless I can import Nikon Z6 raw files directly.

I've been using the trial version of Photoshop Elements 2022 and since I have to use the Type Tool a lot, I noticed that it's often stuck in CAPS, even though my Caps Lock is obviously not on. This has been a regular problem in Photoshop Elements 15 as well, but there the Reset Tool option always helps. In 2022 howeve, it does not and it makes it almost unusable for me because of this. Now, I found this help article on Adobe's site, so this is a known issue, but all it advises is only to reset the tool or the preferences completely. I tried all of it, even resetting all tools, but it seems like as soon as I open a given file (be is a psd or an image), PE 2022 just sticks to the capital letters. If I open a blank file, the type tool works properly, but not on existing files. Is there any other way to force the type tool to work properly on opened files as well? Thank you.

I have had my iMac for about 10-11 years and the highest OS I can install is High Sierra 10.13.6. Sometime between 2014 and 2021 I purchased several Adobe Apps, ie, Adobe 12 Organizer, Adobe Elements 2018 Organizer, Adobe Media Encoder CC 2019, Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Creative Cloud, to name a few. I paid for most but maybe some later were free downloads. I used one of these pretty regularily to combine several PHOTOS Libraries into one library. I used our home network to pull in all of my wife and my old iPhoto Accounts in with our current Libraries. I think I was combining about 5-6 Photo Libraries into one. Well, the bad news is, I started having crazy things going on with my High Sierra Updates so I decided to do a fresh install of High Sierra. I copied Applications, and Downloads and just about every photo and thing I could find from the Macintosh 2GB Harddrive to a new external Hard Drive so that I could copy everything back into the Mac HD

Why does my cursor start spinning when I edit a photo? It happens when I erase or paint. It is not the spinning color ball of death. The actions work but the spinning cursor makes it hard to see what I am doing. I am using Photoshop Elements 2020 on my IMac with Catalina OSThanksGary

Hello, This is infuriating. I paid for Elements 2020. I have the serial number and purchase code and when attempting to launch the app I get an error message. I cannot even type in a number to commence the process. I paid and cannot use it. That is highway robbery. I can't even connec with customer service!!!
