Photoshop Elements

I have been using Elements 7 for a few years.  I love my Elements 7!  I have the original disk and serial number and I just wanted to know if it can be installed to my new Win10 laptop (and how to do that.) Your assistance would be appreciated.   

I am using Adobe Elements Premiere and Photoshop 2020. Lately the programs have been behaving erratically. Premiere will not save my clip markers when I reopen the project;  Organizer will freeze up when I try to add multiple tags; and the Adobe apps are  slow and  crash unexpectedly.  Other applications on this computer appear to perform normaly.   I cleaned up the photos (deleted dups);  defragged and reindexed the drives; updated all my drivers; uninstalled copies of Elements 2018 I had on the machine (leaving only the 2020 versions), shut down and rebooted the machine multiple times but the problems persist.  Attached are screen shots of  the system errors.  Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? I am about to try to backup the catalogs, uninstall Elements 2020 and install Elements 2021. Are there any issues with upgrading from Elements 2020 to 2021 I should be aware of?

Hi I have a Sony A6000 camera and want to edit photos in RAW, when I try to open photos a message pops up advising me to see camera raw documents. where do I find this, can I add this camera to Elements. version 11

I have been reviewing some of my photos and am finding some with multiple duplicates. I don't understand how they get into organizer in the first place but I am afraid to delete them as, in past experience, it seems when I delete one I end up with a question mark instead of a picture and it wants to try and find the picture but can't. My organization skills are lacking.

what does copying onto separate layers mean? and looping animation?

When I 1st downloaded the program it wanted to analyze every image from my prior version [2018]. This took several hours because there are over 20,000 images. After it finally completed this process I tried to use the program. It sat there, no cursor was available to use and I could do nothing with the program.I have deleted the program and reload it 2 times with the same end result. Is my copy defective? I need help.

I bought Photoshop Elements 2021.Went to the link for download. Downloaded and saved to my PC. - Had to download 7-zip to unpack though. Entered my redemption code. There is now a Photoshop folder. Nothing out of the ordinary until now.But, usually I hit an install or set up icon or a program icon and get started. - No such thing.The nearest thing I come to an installer/setup is buried deep down in a folder called: Launch Services. A file called: com.adobe.acc.installer which is a .v2 file.Is that the one?And do I really have to download and pay for another app to open a program I have paid good money for?Or have I suddenly become a clown in regards to computers?I have never encountered this kind of problem before, so please help. Hi! I've purchased PE 2019 from the Apple store a while ago. I have recently upgraded my iMac to Mac os Big Sur. Since the upgrade, PE is not working properly: Camera Raw is not opening. When I work on an image, it disappears when I click on the mouse... I have downloaded the application again from the Apple store, but it doesn't change anything. Can you help me to fix this?

Trying to install Element 2021 from CD. The "Intalltion Options" window is very small and the maximize button is not active. Therefore, I can not fill in the Installation Options and move to the next screen to install in the product. Tried changing screen resolution -- didn't work. Tried changing Windows Display Scale -- didn't work.How can I get this to work?

First, am I correct in understanding that "Backup Catalog" makes a backup of not only the Elements' "Catalog" but also the entire photo library that the Catalog points to? When you select "Backup Catalog" in Photoshop Elements 2020 (Windows), then select Full Backup, the resulting files and folders bear no resemblance to the original. It looks totally proprietary. Why? For backing up one's photo library, is it okay to use a separate backup program (e.g., Syncback), provided it retains the same folder structure as the original and retains all attributes and timestamps? Likewise, how about simply making a copy of the catalog in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs? I prefer to avoid proprietary backup schemes because the results are inaccessible and unusable if corrupted in the slightest way. ----Update: Case closed.  Thanks to the kind folks here I was able to accomplish my goal of putting the photos and the catalog on an external USB drive. Ok so I haven't any issues using this program until today.Yesterday I spent 3 hours editing wedding pictures with no issues.Today the program won't even open. Any suggestions?  

Hi There, hoping someone can help. I am using Elements 2021 and I use the Guided Section a lot.  I especially am having issues with when I am "painting the background" black and White.  I use it a lot and it is usually fine but for some reason now when I select the black and white selection brush and "paint" the selected area, the black and white is very very faint, not dark enough.  I don't know who to fix this and don't want to keep going over the area, but the impact of applying black and white is almost absent now.  any one out there know how to fix this?

I can't seem to grasp layer and adjustment masks, and how to use them effectively.  I am working on a project.  It calls for putting an image of a person in a field of flowers (I have both photos - the field of flowers and the person).  I want the person to be partially obscured by the flowers.  My thought was to open the field of flowers (image 1), then copy the person to it (image 2), then add a layer mask of the first image (the field) and "paint away" the portion of that image that obscures the person.  But I obviously am doing lots of things wrong.I'm using PSE 15.I've watched videos, read my user guide, even bought a book on PSE, but I just can't seem to do this.Any help greatly appreciated.  I hope I've explained what I'm trying to do clearly enough that someone can tell me how to do it.Here's the effect I want:I have the photo of the grass and dandelions, and the photo of a person.  Is it possible to drop her into the photo of the field, as sh

I tried everything and couldn't get editor to open after I had used it just fine, All of a sudden it just quit so I finally decided I would try the old unitstall reinstall trick however I can no longer find a link for Photoshop 19.  How do I reinstall it?  I have my serial number but the only links out there are for Photoshop Elements 2020 and 2021

Hi folks - help!! We use Photoshop Elements for designing text panels, and Calibri is our text of choice. But we have been searching and searching for a way to remove ligatures to no avail - there is no character panel in Elements, and any changes done in the Preferences settings do not fix the issue.  Please help, we will be forever in your debt 🙂 Museumthings 

Will photoshop elements 2021 work on a Windows 10 computer with an AMD Ryzen 3 5300 and 8 GB RAM?

I bought one year ago the Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 from the Microsoft Store and now I cannot install it on my new PC because it is no more available in that Store. There is instead the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 and I am asked to pay again!!! How can I install my Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 app I payed for an unlimited time?? I have been using Photoshop Elements 14 on my PC for years but I am unable to install it on my new latop - I am told I have the maximum installations and should  deactivate one, but I cannot access my old laptop as it is not working - it will not power up  Any help, please?

I have a student working in Photoshop Elements 2020.  When he opens a Raw file, he isn't seeing an RGB histogram...just a luminosity histogram.  Where is the control to bring back the RGB histogram? Mary Lou
