Photoshop Elements

Hi there,Today my laptop returned from the repair man. He had to rebuild my computer because of a virus and a Trojan horse.I'm installing all the software I work with, including PSE 9 that I LOVE and have been using for ages. I have the original disk and manual, but the product key is nowhere to be found. For now I'm installing the trial version, but that only lasts for a week or so.How can I retrieve the key that I once paid for?(I know it's an old version, but it works fine for me. And especially with the HUGE amount of repair costs, I'm not willing to invest in the newest version with features I'll never use.)Tnx in advance!Hieke

HI - I've been using Elements 2019 quite happily for a couple of years. Just upgraded to 2021 and have a problem with the preview window. It's lile the image is separated and offset so the video is pink with a green overal offset. I've tried multiple clips which al play fine in other applications but just look bizare in this - see creenhot. I have unistalled and re-installed - still no luck

Hello - very basic question - probably has a very simple answer that I've missed!  . . . . I've used Photoshop for years but my last upgrade to 15.0.0.0 has a very small font size on the working screens - which is driving me crackers and I can't find a way to enlarge to match previous versions. Any bright ideas please?!

Hi - I'm trialing PSE Elements / Organizer 2021 and noticed when I edit some images and try to add only the edited images to a new album, both the edited version plus the original unedited version end up in th album. How do I avoid this? I only want the edited photos but when I drag those to the album, the unedited versions automatically come with them.  Thanks, Tim

I have PSE 2020 and just purchased a Nikon Z7II and the Z7's raw files won't open. I saw some similar posts from a few months ago, so my first question is there an update available yet?  My other question is when I go into the Help tab, "Update" is grayed out.  Does that mean I have to go to PSE 2021 to get the update?Thanks,Larry G. 

problem updating camera raw to 6.5 in photoshop elements 9. Does anyone has Camera Raw 6.5 patcher?

I recently ditched my aging Windows desktop and purchased an Imac 2020 desktop as I also have a 2021 macbook pro with the new M1 chip.On my old windows desktop I had Photoshop Elements 2015, downloaded before I took out a Creative Cloud subscription. I hung onto PE15 as I find it useful for simple edits, so am not interested in upgrading but I would like to reinstall it on one of my Apple machines, most likely the ImacMy problem is that when I went into my purchase history on Adobe to reinstall PE15, it only shows a download for Windows.Is there anyway around this and of course, will it function on the latest Apple products?Ant advice would be much appreciated, many thanksTony 

I shot ARW and JPG files and uploaded them to Organizer. I can see the ARW files but not the JPGs. I see the stack icon in the upper right corner of the ARW files. How can I open the JPGs to edit them? 

I am trying to install PSE 14 (disc copy) on a new computer.   Adobe says that this copy has been installed on the maximum number.  It is suggested that I could reinstall and deactivate from one of the old computers.  However, previous computers (both laptops) are defunct.   I know it was removed from one of the laptops becasue it was of such poor resolution that editing was not even possible.   I do have one working copy on a desktop.   Anyway, I only have one working copy.  this installation would make 2.So, is it three installations period. Or 3 useable, installed, working copies that  I am allowed.?So, is there a way that Adobe can help me overcome this hurdle since the AI cannot assess my real world situation and offer a solution?  Interesting!  The AI can see "facts", but still not know all the mitigating circumstances which create the actual  situation in which I am mired. Thank you.Thank you.

Hi, I have trial version of Elements 2021, a new installation. I used "Colorize" function to colorize B&W picture. Automatic colorizing works ok. When I switch to manual mode and pick an area to colorize manually. The Eyedrop tool does not pick any color from picture, it does nothing when I click on the tool and/or the picture.What I do wrong? I am using Photoshop Element 2021 in Windows 10 environment. I am trying to add a new Places Tag (NOT using the Places Tab on top of window) in the Tags/ Places Tags section in the right side of the Media page. When I click the '+' icon next to Places Tags, it takes me to the Add New Place screen. I can enter the Name of the PLACE I am looking for, and click on the "Search" icon. It finds the Place I am looking for. Gives me an icon to move the placement around, and I move it to the exact spot where the name of my place appears on the Map. Then I click the "Done" button on the bottom right. The system returns me back to the MEDIA page, but, the name of the PLACE I just created IS NOT SHOWING UP under the PLACES TAGS. So, I am not able to tag a group of pictures for my intended NEW Place Tag. I sure would appreciate if you could help me with this.  Thank you very much.

How can I download and install version 2021.2 pf PSE?

I bought Photoshop Elements 21 from Microsoft Store, and I understand that this is a separate build than the one provided directly from Adobe. The "Microsoft" version of Organizer is rubbish and stops responding during indexing and database backup. Furthermore, Microsoft is not providing updates and patches to their build. I'm now considering buying the Adobe build instead, which is patched regularly. I'm wondering about two things:Do you experience similar "not responding" issues with the Adobe build of Organizer? Is the Organizer database compatible between these two builds? I hope to avoid re-indexing all my photos.

I installed my old (2011) Photoshop Elements 10 to my new PC with a Windows 10. All worked fine until suddenly all the toolbar legens turned very small, almost unreadable. Maybe a Windows update caused this problem. I tried to switch the UI scalefactor from Preferences as adviced by MichelBParis Sept. 3. 2017 in this forum, but my version does not have that option. I also tried to reinstall the whole program, but the problem remains. What can I do get the normal fontsize back? Thanks in advance,Mikael

Hi, I'm using the testversion von Adobe Elements 2021, before buying it.Acutal i tested the face detection, which is really good. But at the page of all persons the names of the persons is not shown completly.If there name is to long (e.g. with wide letters) the name is shorten with "...".How can i change this? I want to see more letters before the programm will shorten it with "..." I added an example

I have just installed a new laptop, with all the fun that entails (!) with 2tb storage, due to my huge Organizer catalogue.I wonder if it is possible to install, by disc or by downlaod, Organizer and Editor onto a tablet?  I am not talking about a large catalogue, but perhaps for artwork (tablets have other artistic programmes), and also when travelling, would save carrying a laptop.So my questions for a tablet:Could you install Elements by disc or download?Install pictures from a camera to a tablet?Use Organizer?Use Editor?Then transfer to PC? Thank you. 

Automation tools is greyed out.  It used to work, and suddenly it's greyed out.I uninstalled Elements, rebooted and reinstalled, then reinstalled the plugins but they're still not available.Physically, I see the plugins in the plugin folder, and I've added the sub-folder with the plugins as an additional plugin folder in preferences.I just don't get it.  Thanks for any help you can give me.Kevin

Suddenly getting a message that I can no longer save my backup because of a lack of disk space. So, taking that to assume there is insufficient space on the disk I am writing to, I deleted a whack of large files. Still not enough space. Forums here say there is something like a scratch disk, whatever that is, but while it is listed under Preferences in the help files, I am guessing it has moved for the current edition. Would a lot more helpful if PSE were to speak plain language and say WHICH disk it is referring to. But, on a guess that it is referring to this mysterious scratch disk, where is that please? Thanks

Can anyone point me in the right direction please as all the links I follow take me around in cirles.I've upgrade my old mac to High Sierra Ver 10.13.6.  Will my PSE Ver 13 work on this?  There used to be a system requirements compatibility type chart, but for the life of me I cannot find it.  If a link to it is available, it would be appreciated. Thank  you in anticipation.

Hi. When i have created a slidshow in Adobe Elements 2021 Organiser I have imported adiofiles. I added 4 different files and when I preview the first time the first audiofile kept repeating itself. I´ve tried to save and move the audiofiles in different order but the next time I previewed the first adiofile was correct and the next adoiofile did´nt play at all but after that one the third was played.(I´m knew at this program but have had Photoshop Elements 10 in many years and it´s frustrating that itdos´nt work at all in the same way).

It appears I have inserted, accidentally, an Audio Caption Icon on a group of my photos  in PSE 2021 running under Windows 10. This icon, looking like a small Speaker, is located on top right of these photos. I do not use audio captions. I must have done something accidentally for PSE 2021 or an earlier version to have put these icons on some of my photos. Is there a way to get rid of these icons from showing up on these photos? Or, is it best for me to just igonre them? They just appear to be clutters.Thank you for your help.

Everytime I backup My Catalog, it creates a second photo with the same name except it adds -1 to it.  Therefore everytime I back it up, the size of the catalog increases.   How can I stop this from happening? I only want to backup up the catalog cleanly without having every photo duplicated.  They are not duplicated in the Adobe/Elements directory. ThanksPat
