Photoshop Elements

I am trying to use Text Effect PSD templates in photoshop elements 2021 but I can's seem to make them work. Does anyone have any guides on this? Is it even possible to use this type of text effect in Elements?Thanks

I process several images that will all be in one size (say, 8" x 12").  In older versions of Elements, when I opened the first image and set the crop size and resolution, Elements would "remember" that crop size and reslutin and once I finished processing and closed that image, when I open the next image the crop size and resolution would default to where I last had it (8" x 12" in this example).  In Elements 20, it seems to "forget" the crop size and resolutoin after I close each image I process, and I keep having to reset the crop size and resolution every time I start to work on a new image.Is there some way to make it "remember" what I was last using, like in the older Elements versions? Same with the Quality setting when I "Save As" in JPEG.   

The size of the fonts and the bars in the Home screen of  Photoshop Elements 2019 have become very large. This happened when I was trying to change some settings, but I don't know anymore what I was doing exactly. How can I restore them to the original size?

I have looked at many video tutorials over the past days but none have shown me how to isolate a primary subject in a photo, making all other parts of the image transparent (disappear). I'm on an iMac. All tutorials have shown how to make a transparent background to isolate a primary subject in a photo or graphic. But when I do that, the now-invisible extraneous/unwanted part of the original image still seems to appear as "paper" when placed into an InDesign document. When I place the doctored image into an InDesign 2020 document and do a text wrap, the text follows the straight invisible rectangular border around the image, not the irregular border of the subject I'm attempting to isolate. Using an older Elements, I used to quickly and easily accomplished this by:1. Unlock layer.2. Outline the desired image with the appropriate Magic Wand, getting the "marching ants" around the desired image. (Hit "Command-Shift" to antify other parts.)3. It seems to work fine with import from folders. But I usually import from camera.

I am a long term user of Photoshop Elements with over 80,000 images in my catalog.   Facial recognition was enabled back around 2017. PSE v2020 does a acceptable job of generating face thumbnails (both named and unnamed) from photos as they are imported. However, there are many photos imported to my catalog by earlier versions of PSE where faces that should be recognizable have not been identified as faces.  In these cases I have to individually mark faces and name them which is very time consuming.  Is this a result of photos that were imported prior to facial recognition and never being analyzed?  Or perhaps they were analyzed by an earlier version of facial recogniton that did not identify a face so that photo has been marked internally as analyzed? Bottom line, I would like to force PSE to rescan all my photos for additional faces as if they have been imported 

Since yesterday 29 Nov 2018, when I load Ps Organizer and click places the there is message.   "Map is not available at this point. Please click "More" for further information."   There is a click button MORE but that just takes me to the Adobe website that tries to sell me something.Spending lots of going round and round the support site, I find this problem reported previously and that the cause is a failure of the program to load Google Maps. OK but what do I do now? I am unable to add location data to any of my photos?Is this a program fault?  Can I fix it? Who will work on it?Anybody help please?Thank youKen W

Tried to open PSE2019 on Mac, popup explaining data usage collection by Adobe and also described Media Analysis.  Activate the app, to use the OK button.  No other buttons and no way to get rid of this box.  I chose not to activate the app, very suspicious.  Eventually managed to file a crash report with Adobe.  Immediate text answer that no solution for the problem described.    Trying to change Adobe Preferences got a response that Adobe Aps would not work with selected preferences. Only way to get rid of the box was to hard boot computer. After doing so, tried open PSE but same box appeared, same problem.  I then contacted Apple Chat Support but could not resolve matter.  Because I did not purchase PSE through Apple, support would have to come from Adobe.  Just then an Adobe PSE 2021 update page appeared on my desktop.  Assume because of my crash report.  I did the update, problem solved.  No idea what this w

I have successfully installed and been using PSE 2020 for a year and now I find I can't get Adobe support because it was over a year ago that the license (or whatever it's called) started. I don't mind paying to continue to use 2020 BUT I don't want to upgrade to 2021 for a while because I have made my peace with 2020, invested time and $ learning how to use it, etc. But I can't seem to get to a screen where I can pay to continue to use what I have already installed without downloading PSE 2021. What can I do to avoid installing the new version?

Hi AllI have a Dell 1747 with an I7 Q720M processor in it. As far as I can see its a second generation processor and not the minimum specification of a 6th generation required for this program. I also have an elderley desktop with a Q9550 processor. Both are running windows 10. Would either of these run this program or do I have to buy new computers to run this. Thanks for your help with this.

After editing images, I save the edited image with the overwrite option. However, it creates a duplicate image as well. Why does it do this, and how do I prevent it happening?

We are running Photoshop Elements 2021 on multiple computers. On one of them, a Surface Pro running Windows 10 64-Bit, Live Workspace appears with a black background and the selections do not appear until you click where you think they might be. Photo Bin is curtailed. It only has room for one and one half thumbnails. The rest of black. The graphics adaptor drive is up-to-date. It works fine on our other Windows 10 computer and on our MacBook. I tried resetting all preference to no avail. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you.

I’m running on OSX 10.13.6 Sierra - which is compatible with these versions of software.Elements and Premier open without issue but Elements Organiser does not. It crashes on start-up each time. Consequently, this renders Photoshop Elements to be useless unless resolved.So far I have tried:1 - Uninstall, restart and reinstall software.2 - Checked for updates to my graphics card.3 - Run a Disc Utilities diagnostics 4 - Turn off and on my Mac.5 - Started Organiser whilst holding down the Shift key without success.6 - Tried to update preferences but the instructions provided by Adobe do not match the options given on my computer.7 - Checked the Apple forums which appear to indicate that this could be an Adobe software problem. I attach screenshots of

I have nearly 55,000 photos and movies that I am about to reorganize and catalogue using PSE 2020 on a Windows 10 laptop. I know there is theoretically no limit to the size of a PSE catalogue but I still think it would be wise to split them into separate catalogues. What should be my guideline for how big the catalogues can become before it will become awkward or slow to use the program? (The photos have come from earlier systems running Windows 7 and its predecessors, and many were previously catalogued on those laptops with PSE 9 and earlier versions. I have eliminated all or most of the duplicates. I also have saved the keyword tags on all that were catalogued and I have tested and find they are imported successfully into a test catalogue.)

The new 2021 has a printing issue. The hand and cross both move the image on the print task.It does not allow you to position image on the paper. Needs fix.

How can I install Photoshop & Premier Elements 2019 on new computer without CD drive?  I still have the original installation serial numbers from when I bought the software 2-years ago.

Is Elements 2021 compatible with MAS OS Big Sur

PSE 2021 won't load it says Loading Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor Workspace and then stays at that point.  It was running ok since I installed it.  I haven't as far as I know changed anything.  Looks like it is trying to access some workspace that it needs and can't .  Any ideas?  Thanks

Hi, I am still using Photoshop Elements 9 on my Windows PC and it does what I want without a need to upgrade.  Now I just bought a MacBook Air M1 and I want to use PSE9 on it.  I do have both original CDs (Win and Mc OS) but I don't have a CD reader on the Mac.  I opened the Mac OS disk on my Win PC and copied the files to a Samsung T5 external SSD, then opened those files on my Macbook, but the installer is 'defective', so unusable.  Apparently this procedure doesn't work, like I feared.  Is there a way or should I simply buy an external DVD/CD reader for the Macbook OR buy PSE2021...?  Thanks.

When trying to print an image, I can not get the image on the page in the position I want it to print.Once the centre image box is unchecked, it does not allow me to enter dimensions in the top and left boxes so the image can be printed anywhere on the page.I'm wondering if this is because it is a free trial version as I have used this feature many times my PSE11.

My Desktop PC runs Windows 10 and has two drives, C and E. The latter, E, is a backup – a clone of drive C created twice weekly.I’ve recently gone back to using Photoshop Elements 10 as an organiser, having not used it for several years. I find that if I import photographs from the C drive, then the next time I look at them PSE has linked instead to the copies on the E drive. If I edit one, the edited version is on the E drive rather than on C.I tried removing the photos from the catalogue and then adding them back again, just in case I made a mistake when importing, but it still links to the versions on the E drive. I then tried disconnecting the E drive. PSE then shows the files correctly, until I reconnect the E drive, and after the next reboot PSE once again shows the versions from the E drive.Does anybody understand what’s going on?
