Photoshop Elements

I am hoping someone can help. I flattened an image by saving it to jpeg and not saving a PSD file. How do I separate the images? It is a background image and a single top layer. I nolonger have the orginal photos to work with.

J'ai Photoshop Elements 7.0.1 en français et je ne l'ai pas utilisé depuis plusieurs années. Je tente désespérément de transformer une photo couleur en sépia et je n'y arrive pas - je ne me souviens plus comment je faisais. J'ai consulté plein de pages web et tutoriels, mais on m'indique des façons ou des chemins vers des menus que je ne trouve pas dans mon logiciel. Peut-on me donner une façon simple en pas en pas pour faire ça? Merci à l'avance.

We are a camera store, I'm posting this question for one of our customers. He has bought a Sony RX100 VII A (RX100M7A) from us. The "A" is in the name because this is a slightly updated version of the RX100 VII - in order to comply with EU regulations determining that all electronic devices that can be charged with a USB-cable can only use a USB-C port, Sony chose to deactivate USB-charging in the RX100 VII, which only has a USB-A(I think) port. This updated version is noted as the RX100M7A, which you can also see in the EXIF information of its photos. The customer finds that he can't open RAW files in Adobe Photoshop Elements 2025 (Windows 11), despite having updated Elements, reinstalled it, and updated Camera Raw. But, we've tried opening a RAW file from his camera here (Photoshop/Lightroom with Camera Raw 17.4.1, Windows 10) and had no problems. Trying to reinstall photoshop elements 2121 on new computer. Bought it from Best Buy on 9/26.21. Serial number on box and the receipt is ADB00PH191600695724 which is obviously not the format Adobe wants. Box also has a barcode which says 'scan to activate product'. Scan doesn't woke. Says not recognized.  Don't remember registering this with Adobe to begin with.  How can I get this loaded on my new computer? Thanks 

I reinstalled both having issues with crashing. I then read that 2025 version you buy for 3 years then it will stop working. Is adobe doing this to older versions of photoshop elements so that i am forced to update? I should be able to keep using a program that I bought for more years then just 2 (like with the 2023 version. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi,I have a valid license for Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 installed on two computers. Unfortunately, one of those computers was destroyed and I no longer have access to it.Now I'm trying to activate the software on a new computer, but I'm getting a message that the license has reached the maximum number of activations.Since I can't deactivate it on the broken machine, is there any way Adobe can manually reset the activation or remove the old device from my license?

Many of my photos are now showing as missing with check in the corner. How to get them back?

I've somehow lost the bottom panel in my window.I could see how to get the right side panel back, but not the bottom one.  Tried a few things, which mostly just made it vanish with no way to bring itback. It's where you get the thumbnails of all the tabs down there.  CAn someone tell me how you get it back please?  Thanks.

Hi, I'm very new to Elements 2025. I noticed the Cloud sync was auto activated and syncing images I do not want in the Cloud, I changed the preferences to stop Cloud sync but the Cloud usage still reports 2.6 Gb used of 5Gb. How can I clear this usage and be sure nothing is in the Cloud? Please see attached image. Thank You

Can camera raw be installed in PSE 2024 and if so how?

Hi AllFor some reason the Updates is ghosted out in the Help drop down. How to I activate this option. I have checked Preferences but nothing there changes what I see. Many Thanks

Been using Elements 8 for years. Was offered upgrade to 2025 for $79.  Did so but I don't have all the 'options' that tutorial videos show.   Here is a screenshot -  (No AI or 'distractions' toolbar)  DISAPOINTED!!!

I am running Elements 2024 under Windows 11 and am going through a large number of scanned slides. I import them in batches e.g. 2000 - 2024, 2015 - 2019 etc. Each batch has its own catalogue. I then create yearly albums within each batch. This allows me to work with one year at a time. I select People and name the faces that appear there. This helps me with tagging individuals, however, sometimes a scanned image will have a face which has not been recognised and as such does not have a name. Can I ask the program in retrospect to scan that image (face) which I can then name. John McWilliam

I have a lot of legacy photos on my Mac that were imported to PSE25 when I installed it. At first, they all displayed just fine. Then, after updating the operating system, they stopped loading. I get the Recopnnect Missing File screen but, when I do reconnect the file I get an error that the file already exists in the catalogue.  At this point the photo is on my screen and I can expand it to full screen. However, if I try to edit the photo, I get a disk error message. Photos imported since I updated the OS work just fine. I have a Macbook Pro and am running Sequoia version 15.5. which is the latest version. Any ideas on how I can repair the link to my photos/files? Right now I'm using PSE23 for my 'legacy' files where they display just fine and are editable. But this is a really clunky solution. I'd rather be doing everything under PSE25.

Bonjour, j'ai Photoshop Elements 2025. Il se ferme automatiquement et à chaque ouverture il me demande mon e-mail, un code sms et un mot de passe. C'est très pénible d'avoir un logiciel qui se ferme tout seul. Je l'ai désinstallé et réinstallé mais ça n'a rien changé. Je n'obtient aucune réponse satisfaisante du chat. Je vous remercie (je suis sur PC windows 11, ordi neuf donc non saturé)

Have used Organizer for 20 years.  For some weird reason, suddenly have over 700 pictures that cannot be linked to the files.  I think they were inexplicably sent to Recycle Bin, so I have restored all of these to a file, which I have tried in Pictures and on Desktop, but still the pictures will not link.  Any adice please?  Using the latest PSE.  Thanks.

I had Adobe PS Elements 2024 on two computers. Recently I erased and sold one computer and didn't know I was supposed  to Sign-out of the app first - I just erased it and sold it. Then I went to install the app on the replacement computer and it won't take it as I already have two activations. Now, the computer was erased before it was sold, so there is no way the app is running on it or it is active.   I signed into my Adobe account and tried to Manage my Devices, except that it tells me that I have No Activations!! So I can't even de-activate the erased computer there. One part of Adobe System software says "Too many activations" and the other says "No activations". Wouldn't it be nice if they actually "talked" to each other...what the heck?     I then spent nearly two hours on-line chatting with a support agent who I even let remotely access my computer, and he could not fix it. Deleted my program. Told me to buy the new version, offering me a whopping 20% discou

I go to People, unnamed.  I select a face and "add name."  I enter a name or verify a name that has already been applied.  When I hit the check mark, the screen usually reverts to the empty People screen, and any scrolling down I have done is gone.  Usually, I have to hit "Places" then "People" to continue.  This strange programming behavior has been a problem for every edition of PSE I have used.  Is there a way for me to communicate my concern to those responsible for PSE programming?

This used to work fine on images with 16 Bit Colour Depth in PSE22 but sadly not on PSE25! No solution apparently except to downgrade image to 8bit. This is disappointing considering it worked in PSE22 which I used previously. A performance regression is not what you'd expect after paying for an upgrade! Looks like could be my last upgrade, unless something is done about it!

In Enhance>Change Object Color, how does one apply the selection to just the current layer? The option pops up in the lower left corner when one selects the Color Picker "Change Color to", but it cannot be modified.

Pour cela, dans la section "Synchronisation autimatique" du menu Préférences, je décoche les cases "Photos" et "Vidéos". Toutefois, mes préférences ne se sauvegardent pas : quand je reviens dans cette section, les cases "Photos" et "Vidéos" sont toujours cochées.Comment puis-je résoudre se problème ?Bien sincèrement.Frédéric Noble
