Photoshop Elements

I have had several versions of elements and just installed 2021 because of a new computer.  I have attempted every avenue suggested to set up an email client but none will validate.  The last time I had this occurance (2 years ago), I had to have a remote connection to adobe to make it work.  Does anyone have a better suggestion than the multitudes of support shown from Adobe?

I have  PSE 2020 on an HP Laptop running Windows 10 64 --- I bought a course to learn to edit using Camera Raw in PSE 2020 but find Camera Raw overwrites the original photo destroying my ability to ever use the original photo in a different way - I can "see" the original photo with a Windows Photo Viewer but when I try to open the original photo in PSE 2020 Editor (not Camera Raw), it will only open in Camera Raw and it will only be the edited version of the photo that I edited in Camera Raw and had saved with a different name - It also shows the unedited photo name under the edited photo not the "Save As" name I gave the Camera Raw edited version.  Do I have something set wrong in PSE 2020 or PSE Camera Raw causing the overwriting?  This is not happening to others in the class that are using PSE 2020.  I want to definitely keep my unedited original photos and want to be able to open them in PSE Editor NOT Camera Raw as unedited  photos!  Why?  B

Hi, I am a casual user of PSE 15 and have recently migrated my catalog to a newer Win 10 laptop. Everything seemed to go well.  Today I was browsing my photos and remembered about manually saving metadata so I started the process and then went to lunch.  When I returned the process was finished an all appeared well.  An hour or so later I opened the recycle bin just to see if I could save some room and there were over 650 photos in there, all with the deleted date/time corresponding to when I saved the metadata!  I was panicked, but when I reopened PSE all the photos still appeared to be there.  I was still not comfortable so I tried to restore the photos but windows said all the photos already existed in the folders and did I want to overwrite them?  What happened?  The deleted photos appear to be duplicates but why are they there?Thanks for your help,KenPS:my catalog is still on the original computer in it's entirety so I have not lost anything perm

I am using PSE 2021 on a Mac running Big Sur 11.0.1 and am unable to download photos from my Camera Card using  File - Get Photos and Videos - From Camera or Card Reader.  As I only installed PSE2021 last month and Big Sur this week I'm not sure which is the culprit as I have not downloaded any photos since before installing both.  When I choose this option absolutely nothing happens, no error messages at all. I can see the SD Card in Finder and can copt the photos from it. I usually do this by plugging the Camera card into the SD slot on my macbook. I have tried using a card reader and get the same fault.   Can anyone help me with this

I had to reload Adobe Element 14 after someone at HP crashed my computer although I got it up and running the next day. Not it claims the serial number has reached alooted times to download. I had an older version that left me load multiple times over the years. This is such a hassle, I'm considering switching programs. Also on Elements 14 I have noticed many times it seems to change "settings" without even doing anything. For starters, my photos always appear too dark, not the natural colors I see on the screen but with a slight pinkish/purple tint on carpeting for example. Another issue is when you would add an effect, say a border or frame, you click the center and "stretch" the outline to the edges and it use to "lock" into place. In other words it would stop at the edges. What is going on with this? It may be me, but something is not functioning correctly here. I have worked with this for years and my older version worked better than this. Help?

I have recently scanned several hundred old slides. The slides were not grouped in any particular order as they were being scanned - i.e. the scanning timing is not the sort order that I want.Is there some way I can manually change - permanently - the order in which these slide-photos appear?I do not want to create folders or albums to do this. I want to be able to manually group the slides (preferably by drag and dropping them) while in a grid view. (I am thinking of a similar function that can be done with slides in PowerPoint.)If PSE Organizer does not have this function is there a Windows 10 app that does?I have PSE 2021 installed on a PC desktop, using Windows 10 Home with all the latest updates.

Hi. I have a new configuration - new to me Mac laptop. I had to purchase Elements 2021 to run on this computer. When I try to use the catalog from Elements 14 I can't (it's grayed out). For 5 years I've used Elements so I have so much data (tags and such) that I desperately don't want to lose. Old computer was a Mac Book. This new one is also a Mac Book. Thanks in advance. 

PSE 2020 on MacBookPr0- having trouble adding blank folders in folder-tree view. I want to create folders by year and month within year. New folders create as Untitled Folder, but when I change the name to, for example, "2015", the folder disappears and I get error message "The operation could not be completed. The error may have occurred due to invalid characters read only location or existing folder having same name". Thanks. Jim Hagen

I am about to move on to a new stationary computer, in that process I will also upgrade from Photoshop/Premiere Elements 18 to 21.I have about 1 TB of pictures and several versions of Elements in the old computer and wish to start cleen if possible. What would be the best practise to achieve this?Back up from Elements 18) and restore on new computer with Elements 21?Any requirement on the new disk (seize/structure)?Will the Elements 21on the new computer find the data from restore even if created with 18? Etc Any guidence and thoughts appriciatedJan

I backed up my Elements 2016. After I suffered a computer crash I upgraded to Elements 2021. When I try to restore from the 2016 back I get a message that the back up is not valid. Any help would be appreciated.

I have elements on 2 windows laptops..is it possible for my content to be seen /shared on both with out having to seperately input all my work onto second laptop? of course i will be using seperately but would like to see content on both

I have used Elements for years. I especially like the bulk editing. I bought a Surface Pro 6 and download Elements but the text is so tiny I find it unusable. Any solution please?

I have a number of PNG files which are frames that I would like to be able to load into photoshop elements 2021. Does anyone know how to do this? Is it even possible? Do these files have to be a different format rather the PNG?

ProblemMy folder listing is in date order year,month,date I want the listing to begin with the lastest date ie 2020 descending down to yeae 2001 Organiser is setting the folders in accending order ie start date year 2001 down to year 2020 I want to be in control of folder listing. Hi gang,I have a rather annoying issue: every once in a while PSE refuses to start (see attachment). I usually see the splashscreen and then things stall and I can basically wait forever for something to happen. This has happened 3 times in a row so far. The problem also manifests itself with the welcome screen: this one doesn't open either. Resetting the configuration doesn't help because the folder "%APPDATA%\Adobe\Photoshop Elements" gets automatically recreated with a few files, but PSE doesn't start. So far I managed to resolve this issue by re-installing PSE (so removing & re-installing while keeping my configuration), however this also means that I have to re-activate the software by entering my serial number. So far, so good, but I'm wondering how much longer this will work for me because you can only activate a copy so many times. Up until now I had no idea what could be causing all this but it just occurred to me that my public IP address is the only differ

I am currently using Photoshop Elements (PSE) 14, for windows 10, and thinking upgrading it to PSE 21. Has someone experience with this, does it work?  What about my current organiser, will it stay intact? Johan Jansen

Elements Organizer says I need to install a codec to view AVI videos. How do I do that? QuickTime Player    works. How do I tell Elements Organizer to use that codec? Where is it? 

Hello, users. I have package Adobe Elements 2018. Last time when I try to open Adobe Elements Organizer 2018 it hangs during inicialisation MediaCore. How I can resolve this problem? Do you have any idea? I have Windows 10 operating system. I will be grateful for your help. 

Unable to get Slideshow to work in Elements Organizer 2021 (Windows). It worked for the first couple of weeks after the original installation, but now I get a screen message that says "No themes found. Reinstall the application to use the slideshow function". Have reinstalled Photoshop Elements but to no avail. The themes folder seems to be in place with files within. Basicly i just want to create high school yearbook or brochore photo books just using the scanned pages that i have without using any of the Photoshop templates, anyone know how to do this?
