Photoshop Elements 2026 Updates menu option is greyed out. Is this because I have the latest version or is there an issue with the software? My version is Core Version: 26.3 (20260417.EO.ae34c5c7). I am still in my first year of the three year licence. Thank You.
I had PSE21 and suddenly started having issues printing so upgraded to PSE 26 and it was fine for about a week then started doing exactly the same thing. It says “because the default printer cannot be opened” and this. I have been on remote access with Adobe but they can’t fix it and now don’t seem at all interested and keep closing my help tickets down! I have tried every fix going that I can find on the web and it is driving me crazy. It just won’t print at all. I managed to get one print out of it by holding down the space bar before clicking print but it won’t even do that now!
I have been using PE 2026 for over a year now, and been printing to my Epson ET2850 with no problems. Recently when pressing print from the print dialogue settings, it crashes back to the home screen and does not print. I have reset all the preferences and rebooted but this makes no difference. I have changed nothing that I am aware of in my set-up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I am planning to buy a new Dell desktop computer very soon. I routinely upload anywhere from 300-500 photos using my card reader, and I have about 5TB of photos on my current computer. How many GB of RAM do you recommend? Also, I read online that it’s recommended I get an Intel Core 9th generation or newer processor. The tech at the local computer repair place recommended I get the Intel Core Ultra 7 1.8 to 5.3 GHz, 65W processor. Is that sufficient? Finally, is an AMD Radeon Pro W7500, 8 GB GDDR6, 4 DP graphics card recommended, or do I need an NVIDIA card? This is all Greek to me, so if you could advise me on any or all of these 3 questions it will be greatly appreciated!Darlene
I recently completed a project to digitize 4,000 family pictures found in old albums. For the scanning itself, I used the Epson FF-680 (highly recommended), which creates three files per photo: an original, an enhanced version (color improvement, red-eye removal, etc.), and a scan of the backside of the photo. So, 4,000 snapshots is now 12,000 files.I have not yet imported these into the PSE (I have version 2026) because I’m not sure the best way to go about it with multiple images per photo. Are Version-Sets the answer? If so, any way to automate their creation (or do I have to create each of the 4,000 sets manually)? If not, what should I do?And, after the photos are imported, I still have to deal with setting the dates-and-times (where I know it) for them, and the facial recognition.I’m starting to think that getting these ‘properly’ imported and setup in PSE could be as big a job (if not bigger) than the initial scanning of the photos.I’m hoping that this community has some ideas
Most of my photos are shot in RAW format.I primarily edit them using Photoshop Elements and the Camera Raw plug-in.Since installing the Organizer 2027 + Photoshop Elements 2027 suite, I have noticed that thumbnails are no longer updated correctly after edits are made. This is very disruptive. When editing a large number of photos in batches, it is no longer possible to tell at a glance in Organizer which photos have already been edited and which have not.The same issue occurs with photos that have been deleted from Photoshop Elements. The icon displayed in the upper-left corner of the thumbnail, which normally indicates that the link to the physical file has been broken, no longer appears in Organizer. The only way to see this information is to open each photo individually in full-screen view. This issue represents a clear regression compared to Photoshop Elements 2025, where thumbnail and file status updates worked correctly
It is wanting me to start a free 7 day trial. I have bought the 3 year activation
I can't resize the screen/desktop and its way too big. It just about covers my whole computer screen, so I have to keep moving it when working on anything. Anyone else have that problem?
Before I knew there was a separate PS Elements forum, I asked on the PS forum how to overcome the behavior where selection tools like crop and marquis snap onto the edge of the image whenever I move close to them. I learned a) that it’s a setting I can change, View > Snap To; b) that it is a “sticky” setting that “always” stays as I set it until changed; and c) that there’s a PSe forum I should be asking my questions to. So here I am.Problem is, I have to reset the snap-to settings in PSe for every image I open and work with. Is there a way to make the Snap-To setting stick in PSe?
(“Feature Requests” doesn’t appear to be available for PSe, so I’m posting this here.)When I select a tool such as Crop, a panel of options appears that covers the lower part of my image. In the screenshots below, the upper image is the full view and the lower shows the panel, crudely outlined in red, that obscures the lower 1/5 of the image I’m trying to work with. That panel should open in a movable, resizable window that I can push out of the way rather than automatically covering 21% (I measured it) of my workspace. The window also should remember its size and location so every time I select a tool (any tool) I don’t have to move its set of options out of the way. That may not be an issue with big professional-size screens, but my only computer is a laptop with limited real estate available for this sort of thing, and I need to make every square cm count.
Photoshop Elements 2026 is running much slower than the 2025 version on my iMac. Are other people finding the same problem? Mel [Typo fixed by moderator]
I own a valid license for Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 for Mac and have my original 24-digit serial number. I do not have the DVD, and Adobe's current download page only offers newer versions.Could Adobe provide an official download link for the original Photoshop Elements 2020 Mac installer, or advise me on another way to reinstall my purchased software?I would prefer not to purchase the software again.Thank you.
Hello,I am the original owner of a physical copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 13.I purchased the software years ago and activated it on an old computer. I no longer have access to that computer, and unfortunately I don't remember which Adobe account/email address was used for the original activation.I have recently sold the original physical copy (including the DVD and packaging) to another person. The buyer is now trying to activate Photoshop Elements 13, but the serial number appears to already be associated with an existing activation, so they cannot activate the software on their computer.I believe the old activation may still be associated with my previous computer.Could someone please advise me on how I can deactivate/release the old activation, even though I no longer have access to the original computer and don't remember the Adobe account that was used?I am not trying to use the software myself anymore. I simply want to make sure that the legitimate buyer of my original copy ca
Photoshop may run slowly after a recent update because new features often increase GPU, RAM, and CPU usage, especially AI-powered tools and background Creative Cloud services. Many users also experience lag due to outdated graphics drivers, corrupted preferences, incompatible plugins, font issues, or changed performance settings after updating.Common fixes include:Updating GPU and graphics driversResetting Photoshop preferencesDisabling problematic pluginsTurning off GPU Compositing or Graphics Processor acceleration temporarilyIncreasing RAM allocation in Performance settingsClearing font cache and removing corrupted fontsUsing scratch disks with enough free storageReinstalling Photoshop if update files became corruptedSome Adobe Community and Reddit users also reported that recent updates introduced slower brush tools, delayed shortcuts, and startup lag tied to GPU settings or cloud background services. For official troubleshooting steps, optimization settings, and performance guides,
When I try to print from PSE26 after I have printed in another programme I get these messages and it won’t print at all. I have reinstalled the programme after I tried all the fixes of disabling the graphics processor, checking the RGB colour 8 bit was ok and several others but nothing helped. I am hoping someone knows how to fix this, thank you.
When I attempt to reconnect files, I get the screen “Reconnect Missing File” but there are no files listed under the Files Missing From Catalog column, and the Locate the Missing Files column is either empty or poiting to my Macintosh HD disk. (See attached image). I had opened this before and thought I had a corrupt catalog but I have since recreated the catalog and no longer believe it is corrupt.

I am using PhotoElements 26. While browsing videos or photos, Photoshop Element jumps back to the beginning of the folder. This happens while scrolling, viewing, or selecting a phone to edit. How can I stop PE from jumping back to the beginning of the folder.
What is everyone doing that paid for a three-year license for Adobe Photoshop Elements 25 and now with about two years remaining on the license, Adobe isn’t updating? So your choices are:Pay for a new program and waste 1.5 years of money or Not upgrade your Mac and be at risk for 1.5 years
Each time a raw photo is edited, then saved (Save as... jpeg), the new jpeg image (shown in a version set) displays the wrong time in the organizer, exactly 4 hours earlier than the original. But when I bring up the file properties in windows explorer (properties -> details), that still shows the correct time the photo was taken. The cameras being used to create these photos are set to the correct time zone and date/time, as is my PC. Is this a known bug, or do I just need to change a setting somewhere?
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit in Photoshop Elements 2027 eine parallele Ansicht von Vorher und Nachher zu haben, so wie es in früheren Versionen der Fall war?
This problem seems to go back a long way. Out of the blue my printer doesn’t work with Elements 2026.Various forums show this problem goes back through lots of versions of Elements. Why is it so hard to solve? I need the printer for my work with Elements, I have tried all the suggestions, resetting preferences etc etc..It’s Elements that is the problem as all other programs work fine with my printer, but. finding a solution is another thing altogether. Seriously considering finally abandoning Elements after many years of using it for our archive work. I’ve nearly had enough.
Seems like when using a stylus pen for windows 11 and a tablet when pushing and trying to move it, nothing changes and it locks it into a left click until a mouse is used. Might want to test and check it out, and yes, everything is updated, but it still has the scrolling issue.
