Premiere (Beta)

Transcription stopped working in Beta 22. This new version from today, 22.1.1 is still broken for me but now at least I get an error message. It keeps trying to download a language packet - which it never said that before. In previous Beta 22 versions, it would just do nothing after downloading the language pack. Now, it gives an error which I attached. The error message also doesn't go away by clicking the X, so it requires a restart to remove it and continue working.   

When trying to use the Speech to Text transcription generation, the dialogues boxes seems to be trying to generate text, however nothing happens once the process finishes.  

Noticed bug in PP Beta. The issue occurs when trying to render project by replacing excisting file. Premiere asks if you want to replace exising file, but automaticly starts to render new file with the name of sequence.  

Having seen the "in development" HEVC encoding (in PPro Beta), I thought I'd give it a go, and sent a sequence to export using HEVC (H.265). (I've successfully exported that same sequence many times using H.264). I have an RTX3090 24GB GPU, so thought I might see some impressive export speeds. 22.1.1 Build 59While adjusting work area bar, program winks out.Similar to issue in previous builds. 

So here's an oddity. I have 16fps AVI footage from film transfers that I'm importing. (BTW they're the MJPEG codec AVIs that were crashing in an earlier build. They work fine now. Thank you.) I create a new sequence from clip, which comes in as 4:3, 2048x1536, 16fps. I convert the sequence to 24fps HD 1920x1080. I set the clip to scale to frame size, then apply Optical Flow time interpolation to smooth out the frame interpolation cadence. The render bar turns red. If I then scale the picture up a bit, the render bar turns yellow. I find that curious. Wonder why? 

22.1.1 build 59While I love the new Export screen, what bugs me when I have a bunch of timelines I need to export quickly is that the preset has to be changed each time I send an export to AME. Once set, the preset should apply to all exports in the project.  Also we still fight the problem that the default export location is the last-used destination. That leads to exports winding up where you can't find them if you're moving too fast. First export in a project should default to the project folder (with the project file), then subsequent exports remember that location, (Fortunately, subsequent exports of sequences remember the project's export default.)

version: 22.1.0x110Dynamically Linked comps are unusable in the latest release of PPro Beta. If I load up a previously created project (which works perfectly in the public release PPro 2021), it always forgets the links for the DL comps. They show up as missing in the Project Panel, even though the file locations have not changed, and the project loads/links perfectly in PPro 2021. If I then Relink a comp, the file slector box appears, with the correct AE project already highlighted (so PPro does really know where to find it). If I then choose that project and click OK, PPro always hangs, and my CPU and disks are showing around 0% usage, so PPro is clearly doing nothing. The only workaround is to render stuff out of AE and drop the movie onto the timeline like in ye olden dayes. As a side note, after I went through the non-linking process above, then did a force-quit of PPro Beta, then reloaded PPro Beta and that same project, then deleted the DL comps from my timeline, and attemp

When trying to select appearance for captions, the fill and background pull down menus don't work correctly. I had this issue with previous versions of Premiere, then it was fixed and now it is back.  

22.1.1. build 57 I'm trying to decide whether I like this or not. I don't think it's a bug. I discovered that if you rename a bin and hit Enter, it opens the item below it (in thumbnail view) to rename. And if rename a bin and hit Tab, it goes to the next one to the right.  That's very handy for renaming bins if I slap a bunch in and need to rename them. But when I add a new bin, it appears at the bottom of the list, ready for renaming. So far so good.  When I type in the name and hit Enter, it goes to the first item and has it ready for renaming, which I don't want to do.  Then, if this bin has a lot in it, I have to scroll back down to find the new bin I want to work with. My suggested behavior is if you rename and hit Enter, it should just record the new name and stay focused there.  Don't change the Tab key's function. I find that very useful. You'll probably tell me there's a setting for that somewhere...right?

PP Beta 22.1.1.55.In import tab, I select 3 thumbnails then I close PP Beta.When I reopen PP Beta on import tab, I have this strange window : Could you fix that problem ?

Crash while trying to quit render during "Media Pending warning". Steps to reproduce:    1. ... Result: ...Expected: ... System info    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v22.1.1.31    OS: macOS v11.6.1, RAM: 32.00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 4

Audio levels created from Essential Sound are different from the clip's editing on timeline.Also the only way to edit the values are by click and dragging.Not at the effect control or elsewhere.This is frustrating.

22.1.1 build 53Had a timeline open and used Close All Projects to end it. Loaded another project, then after about 15 seconds, as I was choosing a clip to make a timeline from,  the whole program quit before I could click anything.  

22.1.1 build 53 So I place a clip on the timeline, trim off 30 sec of blank at the beginning and set work area bar.I decide to delete the gap between the beginning of the timeline and the start of the clip by right-click and ripple delete. Clip moves but not the work area bar.  

Like the title. I simply moved the end of the work area bar and it winked out. Lost work. 22.1.1 build 53 

I had a bunch of sequence tabs open on the timeline. Closed one, then the second, on the third one the whole program blinked out.  Beta 22.1.1 build 53

Lots seems to be broken in this build. I have a very simple 30 second timeline with only 2 tracks of video and one stereo track of audio. Tried to add captions and was unable to get the transciber to work. Added captions manually, but the text formatting tools window doesn't show up so I am unable to change the caption background or placement of text on the screen.With frozen playback, I can't even display a single frame in the program monitor by moving the playhead so I can't see if captions are correct on screen. Export just freezes as well. I am able to export to media encoder though. 

Regardless of which project I'm working on, exporting within Premiere fails about 80% of the time, with some kind of exporter error. I've been exporting as H.264 and QuickTime ProRes422 and both are equally unreliable. Luckily, Media Encoder seems to be more reliable. I also had the strange situation where one clip (out of about 30 in my sequence) exported without its Lumetri colour grade. Duplicating the clip on top of itself fixed the problem.

The language pack has downloaded four times now, with no transcript showing up. Just keeps downloading pack.

When the project is set to Ingest-Transcode, when dragging and dropping clips from the Finder into the Project pane, Media Encoder crashes while premiere is attempting to transfer files to transcode. Then the clips that were just dragged into the project pane dissapear from the project.

Steps to reproduce:    1. Use the Remix feature in Premiere Pro Beta (timeline created from XML import into PP)2. Try to export audio Result: Errors, screenshots attached. Hallo liebes Adobe Team, Ich hätte da ein paar Punkte: Nach der Transkription kann ich leider keine Textdatei mehr exportieren - weder aus PR 2022 noch aus Beta PR. - ideal wäre da, eine auswahl TXT, Doc usw.wäre für meinen Workflow sehr wichtig. (habe schon cache geleert - und neu gestartet.) Dann - gibt es wohl keime Benachrichtigung, wenn für die Ess. Graphics die Schriftarten fehlen. Außerdem fände ich es hilfreich - wenn die ess. graphics auch so intuitiv werden - und man nicht java programmierer sein muss -... (ich weiß - das ist viel arbeit - aber jetzt ist es nichts Halbes und nichts Ganzes... Außerdem wäre sehr sinnvoll - eine schon bestehende SRT Datei - Synchron auf das Video zu bringen - Denn - für Social wird oft gekürzt - und Sprache vereinfacht - also ist die Transkript-Funktion ist nicht sehr hilfreich. Herzlichen Dank!Es tut sich ja wahnsinnig viel - HERZLICHEN DANK DAFÜR!
