Premiere (Beta)

If I need to re transcribe a sequence, it won't let me. I have to close the program and relaunch to get the transcribe option to come back. I already have this feature but it still keeps popping up.
So far in my testing if I export and h264, the audio is noticebly degraded. Compared to the exact same h264 settings in the previous Intel version, where the audio export soudns perfect.
For those of you testing SpeechtoText are you able to export sequences with embedded captions? If you are able to, which format are you using? ProRes or MXF OP1a? Only way I'm able to get captions to export is choose an SRT sidecar file or the burn in option. Embedding captions fails in all my tests and I wonder if this part of the new feature is actually turned off. This is happening when exporting straight out of Premiere or attempting to queue through AME. I'm testing on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 & Big Sur 11.2 with beta PR 15.0 build 16 / AME 15.0 build 15.
HI,Over all so far it has been amazing what I have been able to capture. Right now I have run into 4 spots on the timeline on a project I decide to test with since the audio is very clean but does have a music bed with it. I was able to go back and re trancribe the 4 sports that was not captured in the voice over. But I have not been able to create a caption on the timeline for it at the moment. Will keep working with it incase it's something I'm not doing correctly. This new featrue is a game changer and will use it a lot. ThanksMoe
Hi team, I got the early access and everything was working up until today when an update showed up on my creative cloud app and I updated. Now it's not working....
This feature is now greyed out and unavailable.

I'm having an issue that makes working with the beta nearly impossible. It says it syncs to my Adobe account, and downloads my settings. BUT: NOTHING shows in the program ... my workspaces, my presets, my keyboard shorts, NOTHING. Please ... I've tried going into all the fun hidey-holes where the CC apps store the prefs and such, replaced them ... but the app always loads as if it's a fresh start without any user prefs. Neil
Brought in a clip and transcribed it and added the captions to the sequenceAt some point noticed the caption was a single line whereas it was 3 captions in the timelineEdited it in the Text panel but it didn't update in the timeline (see screenshot) System info Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v15.0.0.15 OS: Windows v10.0.19041, RAM: 15.85 GB, CPUs (logical): 8
I like the idea of Speaker 1, Speaker 2 etc, but it doesn't work at all for me. I have about 10 voices and they are all called speaker 1 or 2. So it's a waste of screen real estate and better not to try it than it go wrong a lot.
Hey Guys, A question, i have a sequence in timeline with captions on it. But i can not see anything in the text TAB is this normal ? How can i activate that track so i see in text panel? I not seem to find the solution right away? I tried match frame, dubble click, activate deactivate, essential graphic panel, but not seem to be able to get in the text tab. Latest Beta downloaded yesterday on my mac. Thx in advance and sorry if i missed something.
when importing BRAW Files, it has to be done in batch and then restart premiere. If one imports files individually and wants to work on them, then for every file imported or after you are done importing, you need to restart premiere. When Files are first imported all BRaw Settings work, but exposure levels do not adjust as intended. you can see the levels shift up or down as needed, but no effect takes place, until premiere is restarted. then everything works just fine. All drivers are up to dateDell G7 7500 i7 10750H RTX2700 MaxQ
when both files are on the same timeline, ProRes Raw or BRAW have issues being together. time line stalls or crashes often. when exporting is even worse, 75% of the time nothing happens and it hangs. this happens everytime regardless of which system i am using. When it works, it works fine, but otherwise, constant restart of premiere is a must. to get around, its best to export file with raw setings to prores 422 and import to timeline and keep working, this seems way to redundent. Aloha!!Finalising my project and cannot render in and out captions. I have tried to restart program without any luck. This is the error message I recieved; [Error compiling movie - Unknown error]Btw speech to text is working really well with minimal amendments to the words. Punctuation is another story 😛kind regards,Netani
i don(t understand, when i create a transciption (i select sequence, etc) that doesn t work, just the bar "rendering audio"but nothing else. yesteday that worked once time, but this day the same file don't work. i tried several files but nothing works just the text "creating audio transcpition". thanks for u help
Does anyone know if transcripts and subtitles can be exported to a word doc or something? I need to export transcripts and subtitles so "print" content editors can correct anything that Adobe Speech to text misses or gets wrong. Then I would re import the corrected transcript and subtitles and use them in the video.
In the past I have always wanted my captions super low due to the nature of the videos that I make. Premiere for some reason, normally does not like this, so I used the workaround using effect controls to change the anchor point as described HERE However, in the beta version of premiere with captions I can no longer use the effect control pannel to adjust the anchor point of the captions and whenver I try to adjust the y value in the essential graphics pannel it wont do anything past 0. Is there another way around? Thank you in advance Picture of Essential Graphics Pannel: What i'm trying to do:
Hi, when I activate "Show Fonts From Adobe" it shows only 2 fonts. Maybe I'm missing something. I also tried to activate it from the website by clicking in "Add Adobe Fonts", and it didn't work.
(beinhaltet altes 2.) hinzu.
I am unable to change the vertical positioning of my caption files once they are on a track. It seems like when bottom or top aligned they align to the safe margins, but if I change a safe margin they don't align to it again, and I am unable to manually move the captions any farther down using the align and transform box in the panel.
Hey guys,I use the "ingest" from Adobe premiere to create proxies.( Prores Proxy)Now when i import some footage, in the background (it take very long to put those files in AME (network storage) AME wil start the transcode to proress Proxy. Now if by accindent i acces and scrub trough a higress file he wants to transcode it skips that file and says : FAILED.I do not think this is a dissired way to work ? Should it not wait until i am done on the file then continue transcoding? I am on the latest Adobe premiere Beta and AME. Source file is an XDcam EX file. It was for demo purposes i saw this happening. And i retryed it several times and every time it fails. Second point: i found out that it is on my network storage (i tried this on network and a thunderbolt storage same result) , not on my local SSD. Is this a problem on network storage because of the "calls" Adobe makes? The connection is a 1Gig connection to 1PTB storage. And on my local drive i get no fails

Hey all!Just reporting a bug in the latest version of the Premiere betaWhen using a sequence that has captions as a nested sequence, any individual caption inside the sequence will act as a trim/snap handle on the nested objectLet me know if that doesn't make sense and I can clarifyThankyou!
Hey guys!Just some feedback on the caption workflow- when editing the captions using the program window (double clicking the text to enter edit mode), the delete key functions as a backspace key instead- frequently, the automatic transcription will result in captions with a single empty frame between subsequent captions...it might be worth setting a minimum frame gap, to avoid this undesirable resultThanks so much, overall it's great!
