Premiere (Beta)

I'm using the latest Premiere pro beta, and for the last couple updates it seems that the mask with text property for text has seemingly broken.Rather than actually masking anything, it seems as if the mask is created in the top left quarter of the screen with the rest of the screen showcasing the image that should be hidden away. Changing the image beneath, whether it is scale or position doesn't change how the image actually looks.

Having updated a 24.5 project to Beta 25.0 the output appears very high contrast and somewhat oversaturated. This is a sequence with a clip from a Sony A7s3 4k 10 bit 4.2.0 S-Log-3 on a 4k sequence. Premiere correctly identifies the colour space and applies the correct LUT. I have tried various export presets including those for Adobe stock using both hardware and software rendering and the result is the same. I also doesn't matter if I export directly or use Media Encoder. Missing several features? Among them the numbers. No waveform for the blibs Bug or by design?   2025.0.16  

Since yesterday I'm no more able to create captions neither automatically creating text from audio in Premiere BETA. Anyone else having the same issue?

Very peculiar.I have interviews where two cameras are combined into a multicamera clip which, in the source monitor, plays back fine. but in the program monitor one of the cameras is not smooth playback. All the other non-multicam, including camera B plays back very smoothly. But Camera a, only when edited in as part of a multi-cam clip, plays back stuttering. (Audio is fine). If I replace each clip with the direct source, it's fine. Annoyingly tedious but fine.Hmmm...

It doesn't work, the image doesn't disappear inside the outline, not outside. Normal crop works. The mask is tracked, but it does not remove the selected contour.

Premiere Pro doesn't send a PF_Event_MOUSE_EXITED event, or one last sequence of PF_Event_ADJUST_CURSOR and PF_Event_DRAW events, when the mouse cursor exists a custom parameter’s UI in the inspector (ECW).  This problem makes it impossible for third-party plug-ins to implement "mouse hovering" effects, such a highlighting a button’s frame and title only while the mouse sits above the control – similarly to how Premiere Pro’s own native controls work. A third-party plugin crucially needs either a PF_Event_MOUSE_EXITED event (during which it can set out_flags->PF_OutFlag_REFRESH_UI and evt_out_flags->PF_EO_ALWAYS_UPDATE flags) or one more round of PF_Event_ADJUST_CURSOR and PF_Event_DRAW events to have a chance to redraw its custom controls without any effects or elements that are supposed to be visible only while the mouse cursor is within its section of the inspector (ECW). Because plugins are not given a chance to redr

I am getting constant "audio and video clock out of sync" warnings when prior to today I did not get these issues. I keep having issues with this audi and video clock error popping up constantly. I'm running 48GB of RAM. Updates are good. I am editing a feature length film. I started getting these errors maybe 70% into the edit. I'm now working on sound design and score. And its frustrating.

The PF_AppGetColor() in PFAppSuite has never worked reliably in either After Effects and Premiere Pro, but this is more so of an issue now, with the introduction of Light / Dark / Darkest modes. Here are the main issues with PF_AppGetColor & the SDK in general, when it comes to custom UI: - The various constants in the header aren't documented, and while on first examination they are self-documenting, this isn't the case. For example, you might think that if your custom UI draws a button, it should use the color associated with PF_App_Color_BUTTON_FRAME for its border. But what happens if the button needs to be drawn disabled? There is no PF_App_Color_BUTTON_FRAME_DISABLED. But there is a PF_App_Color_FRAME_DISABLED. Is that what you’re supposed to use? - No indication in the SDK as to the color space in which colors are returned. Are these sRGB? Or perhaps the color space of the main screen? What if the user has multiple screens with different color s

On recent betas that feature the new Darkest / Dark / Light Appearance modes, the API available to third-party plug-ins to determine the background color of the inspector is no longer working. It appears to be retuning black, on all three settings. The PFAppSuite4 PF_AppGetBgColor function is returning the RGB values 0,0,0 instead of the actual background color of the window. This regression breaks any plugins that rely on that API to know what color to fill custom UI in. For example, here is the custom UI of a plugin in the release version of Premiere Pro: This is how the same UI looks in the latest beta, where the API is returning solid black: ...the problem is unaffected by the current Appearance setting. Another wish list item for Properties panel: At the bottom of the panel, add details readout of the selected clip:- Duration (trim length) (MOST important)- Overall length (if trimmed)- Path on storage media (if applicable) 

I am posting this both as a heads up and as an open invitation to other developers (and Adobe) to file feedback against the most recent version of Xcode. As of Xcode 16 beta 4 (16A5211f) it is no longer possible to configure any targets that build plug-ins for the Premiere Pro or After Effects SDK. The root of the problem lies in the fact that these targets require a Build Carbon Resources Phase. When such a build phase is present, clicking on the Build Settings pane will crash Xcode. You can verify this on any example distributed with the SDK, or create a brand-new Project and Target. Xcode 16 will let you add a "Build Carbon Resources Phase" to your target only after you have added  an ".r" file (it can be empty.) After that build phase has been added, clicking the Build Settings pane will crash Xcode. Please don't forget to file this bug via Feedback Assistant! As of Premiere Pro (beta) version 24.5.0 build 18, you now have access to over 15,000 Sound Effects, ~11K of them being FREE!  We have also added the ability to filter between Free and Premium, exposing over 2K Free Music tracks.  These are all pulling from Adobe Stock.     To access Stock Audio inside Premiere Pro Enter the Audio workspace (or just open Window > Essential Sound panel) In the Essential Sound panel, find the “Browse Tab” NEW – click on Music or SFX NEW – click Free in the Filters section   With Timeline Sync you can press play on a music track or Sound Effect in the Essential Sound panel which will start playback of the media on the timeline, allowing you to preview the cues in the context of your edit to truly give a sense of which track works best.       We want to know what you think.  Please join the conversation below.

I'm applying the crop tool with Premiere's newest Beta bluid and it the controls no longer appear in the effects panel. Has it been moved somewhere else? Worked normally in the last build. Screen shows interface, Crop has been dragged and dropped on the clip twice but I see no controls anywhere.

Always in the past, if doing a mix with the audio track mixer, when stopping after a write, it would switch back to Touch.  Now it sticks on Write, and if I go back on the timeline, it starts writing nodes where I last set the fader. So, this is a church service.  I keep the air mic off while the pastor is speaking.  When singing starts, I hit Write and fade up the fader as the organ begins.  Then I skip to the end of the song and fade the organ out and stop. Now I want to hear that fade out and skip back mid-song and start to play.  No sound.  Then I discover it's still in Write and it has zeroed out the level when I restarted playback. What happened to the automatic switch back to Touch when stopping??? System info    Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v25.0.0.14    OS: Windows v10.0.22631, RAM: 63.83 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 16

We are working on a series of ProRes export performance improvements in Premiere Pro and Media Encoder for macOS and Windows.    The first of these improvements are now in beta and make ProRes exports up to three times as fast as in the current shipping products.   The largest improvements will be seen: Using simpler sequences. As soon as I add lumetri color effects to my clips the whole scrubbing is lagging every time a new clip is "loaded" while scrubbing.I deactivated all fx with the toogle button, and i edit with pro res proxies. I can scrub normally when i remove all lumetri effects.
