Premiere Elements

When I drag a music into music timeline, my video and titles Jump to the right to the end of the audio. So frustrating. What am I doing wrong? 

Just got premiere elements 15. I've not edited video for 15 years [!] & the software has changed a bit!. I want to apply effects e.g. colour changes gradually to a clip using keyframes. Tutorials online don't help Guided edit doesn't cover it. Can somebody help here, or direct me to a site where I can check such things in words of one syllable? [& Yes - I bought Elements for Dummies but it's out of date so doesn't show the GUI of Premiere 15]Thanks in hope

Hello, I'm trying to utilize premier elements 2020 to create a 3-4 video from gopro footage of a trip we recently took.  Below is the properties of the video clip.  Will previous versions/clips/etc, I'd load them into the project render, cut out/edit a part, render and review.  I'm not able to render the video in the project and it's beyond frustrating because the video gets all choppy when playing it back.  I'm used to seeing an orange/yellow bar after you drop in a video into the timeline, that doesn't even show up.  It's so weird.   Any thoughts?     

When opening Premier Elements 2020 för video work it starts allrigh when the compter is freshly opened.After finishin a projket and closing Prem El 2020 it will start the second time. It starts loading up all program sequenses and it hangs on uploading "Player Media Core Pgm". And it stays hanged. I need to close down the computer with Power Off to come lose.The Computer is a HP Desktop with updated Win 10.RegardaLars Johansson

Hi community!I use the german version of Premiere Elements Windows 10 Pro, so maybe some things will not be trranslated exactly.I have this problem with the settings for the location of preview files (video and audio preview):- The default setting for this preferences is "Same as project"- I change the settings to a directory on another disk, assume e.g. "D:\Premiere_Preview"- I create a new project, make all project settings, save the project- I check the preferences and they point still to "D:\Premiere_Preview"- I import media, put it into the timeline and do some "Render"- The preview files are correctly stored below the "D:\Premiere_Preview" directory within a new directory with the name of the project (ProjectName.PRV)- I save the project- I exit Premiere Elements- I check the "D:\Premiere_Preview" directory and the rendered files are still there- I restart Premiere Elements and load the project- The render areas on the timeline now have changed their color from green to orange (s

I am experiencing trouble when I try to alter audio level in my project. If I alter the level then try it out with "Play" the program freezes then shuts down. I can only make the change if I save the project immediately after making a change but then the effect is not evident in the video clip. I have checked for drivers for sound and video cards but all seem up to date. I tried to uninstall then reinstall Prem,eir Elelemnts which did not cure the issue. The I disabled the video card but none of these seem to make any difference. I am using Premier Elements 15 and Photoshop Elements 2020. Please help.

New user here... I've searched and i can't find why this is happening. I'm trying to make highlights of my kids during games from over 6 years ago...a lot of dead space.  Here's what I'm doing exactly... 1) drop the first video into video 1.  2) drop the second video into video 23) watch video 2 until i find a part i want to keep.4) pause video 2 and click the scissors icon (to trim).5) almost every time... The video is not where i wanted it to be (majorly off). So i try this4a) pause the video 2.  Push play again to see if it stopped in the right area... It didn't. Then i tried4b) pause the video5b) drag the red grabber thingee to a little left of where i paused it.  Adjust accordingly6b) play, pause, trim. (Still not perfect). I attempt this last method multiple times before it finally works.  Takes about 4 times to get the stress i want. This is getting highly annoying.  The computer I'm working on is about 2 months ol

+I have an IMac with both IMovie and Premiere 2019 installed.I can not get my DV cam to work in Premiere (can not find it)When running IMovie it will find it.I want to use premiere as it is more like film editingAny solutions? Peter

I upgraded to Windows 10 at the start of this year, Premiere Elements 11 had always worked fine prior to that. I can still "publish and share" slideshows/short dvds to Computer, but when I try to do so to DVD it Encodes to 100%, and then Burns to 99% before giving the message internal software error:%0,line%1All my other programs work and I can burn music/data/photos to disc using standard windows 10 options, so it would appear to be something between Elements and the DVD drive?I've made the project as small and uncomplex as possible to see if that helped, but even 4 photos with no menus or music gives the same result.Thanks.

I'm printing photographs on a Canon Pro10, using borderless options with a photo size to fit on the page (A4). Sometimes the page comes out with only part of the page printed, even though the preview on the screen shows the whole page picture. I suspect that the system is keeping a previous smaller size setting. Today I printed  an A4 picture but only the 10 x 15 middle part printed. If I try again, the second or third one is correct, but this uses a lot of ink.  I'm using presets for the different sizes.

I have Premiere Elements on a Mac and it has worked fine. Today though when I clicked on the icon, the welcome page opened up fine but when I clicked on the file to be opened, the icon appeared for about two seconds and then disappeared.  I can't get the program to run. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi, I've made a 17 minute video in Premiere Elements but when I export it, it is 25 minutes long, the last 8 minutes being blank. How do I set the length before exporting?

I am simply looking to copy a few clips from one Premiere Elements project to another.  After some online research, it appears that one can only copy and paste from within the same project....is that really true? I'm new to video editing, but this functionality seems terribly basic, so I'm hoping there's a way to accomplish this that I am simply overlooking. Thanks.

Hi, Is there a histogram available in premiere elements 2020 or a histogram plugin / extension?Premiere Pro is to advanced for me and I don't want to upgrade. Literally the only thing Premiere Elements 2020 is lacking is a histogram for color and birghtness (gama, exposure, etc.).. This is very important to me, because relying on the color and brightness of my computer monitor as the source of truth can give misleading feedback - my computer monitor may have contrast, color, brightness preconfigured in a certain way.

I have suddenly started getting 'media offline' when I try to open files I have been working on, and they will not open anymore. What can I do?

I have been using this program since March 2019. I now have an error message that tells me that my display driver is incompatible and that I need to update my driver. I have updated my computer in everyday Microsoft account and driver. I have the most up to date driver and the error still pops up. I was in the middle of working on a video project and now can't access it due to this error. Is this Adobe's way of trying to get me to update to the 2020 version? If so I may just switch editing Softwares because that is wrong. Please tell me how I can get past this error. My system is fully updated and my adobe account is just over a year old. PLEASE HELP.

I recently received a new link to troubleshoot a problem with Adobe Premier Elements 2018 audio loading but not video. I reinstalled only to have the same issue.I tried the handbreak method only to have audio come back doubled/tripled in sound layers.This is real frustrating as I paid for a program and it should work like it always has.Now I feel like I have to learn how to become an IT guy. I didnt sign up for that. Only to pay for a working program. 

Hello, Can anyone please tell me why the render feature in my Adobe Premiere Elements 11 freezes up at exactly 100 of 1800 frames? (Yes, it's old, but it's all I've got to work with right now.) I am editing a 1-minute video comprised entirely of high-resolution photos and I am using numerous motion effects. I've tried rendering the whole timeline. I've tried rendering only small parts of the timeline. I've shut down all unnecessary background apps on my computer. I've tried everything I can think of and nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

i just bought Premiere Elements 11 and would like to edit some video produced by a screen capture program. The capture program is called Bandicam, and according to the VLC video player, the video codec is "mpeg 1/2". The actual file type is AVI. When i try to import this file, Premiere Elements says that the file type is not supported, and the codec is missing. The thing is, I am able to use these same files in Windows Movie Maker without any problem. How do I get around this issue? Thanks in advance for any help!

I shot some video in 4K/30fps and am editing it in Adobe Premier Elements  2020.  I increased the scale to 200% over the entire clip.  A still frame looks fine but as soon as the clip plays, the focus degrades noticibly.   The images lose detail and become a little foggy.  It's not dramatic but it is a noticible difference.  Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?  Is there any way to preserve the detail on playback?  Thanks.

Hi,  I am trying to set up a file folder structure in Premiere Elements Project Assest panel, but drag and drop isn't working.  I can't drag a file from one folder to another to reorganize my files.  Sometimes when I try to drag and drop I get a "no" icon and sometimes I get a "hand" icon, but in both case, the file isn't moved.  Also, the open/close triangles on the folders don't seem to work consistently.  I'm running Premiere Elements 2020 on Windows 10.  Thanks.Zaffer***************************Additional observations:  I'm using the List view, and I found out that when I drag an item from one folder to another in List view, the screen doesn't refresh, so it looks like nothing happened.  But if I switch to Grid view, I can see the change I made.  This is pretty clumsy.  Is this a bug?

Where is the rate stretch tool in Premiere Elements? I can't change the drag icon into time stretch to easily adjust my clips and have to change the speed manually.

I can import the audio just fine and I can hear audio in the exported video, but I can't hear it in the editor. This makes it impossible to make any good changes to the audio. I can't hear audio from the video and the audio that I add either. How can I fix this?

New computer , moved all my stuff via timemachine (succesfully !) but trying to start up previous video projects ends with a new "sign in" . Ive connected to Apple account wich say all set with the application and then new sign in . When I go via "sign in " with my  adobe identity (new and accepted password) it just bounces back to "sign in" . all above happends when I try to open a new project.... 

Major newbie here, forgive me if my terminology is inaccurte.  I'm recording a fitness class using two audio inputs (one XLR input from the sound board for music and using internal mic for class sounds - cheering, clapping, etc).  Am I able to mix/control my audio levels individually in Adobe Premier Elements?  The audio appears to show together in one Audio frame, can I separate them in post or is this something I must do in the camera?
