Premiere Elements

Hi!The other day I opened up the Elements Organizer (2019) and all the files I had in there are missing. Hundreds of files. I know the hard drive on my iMac is nearly full, and the entire computer has been getting backed up to an external hard drive via Time Machine. I had added new media to the Organizer, but all the previous video footage and still photos are missing.I just went to begin a new project in Premiere Elements, but when I clicked to open the Organizer a window popped up saying:"The catalog could not be opened. An internal programming error occurred."I would greatly appreciate any ideas on how to restore files and keep from happening in the future.Peace!

I spent some time this week updating the date and time of many of the video clips in my Organizer catalog (by right-clicking on the thumbnail and clicking 'Adjust Date & Time').  I decided I wanted to change the file structure in my MacOS Finder, and afterwards, when linking the catalog item to the new location, I found that the Date & Time I had set had disappeared and reset to the 'Date Modified' date. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?  I'm not married to my file structure yet, and in fact, I may move the original files to an entirely separate external hard drive. 

I purchased Premier Elements 2015 several years ago and was recently prompted to update to PE2020 when I opened my program.  I did this and wound up with the Video Elements program.  Adobe has baited and switched what they advertise and sell as PE.  Spent easy too much time trying to get this figured out and a refund issued. I'm very unhappy with Adobe!!!

Can you trim a long video down to a short one and import just the short one into Premiere Elements?Can you do it in the adobe premiere elements organizer?Can you do it in some other simple freeware program?If you do this, does it re-compress the short trimmed video?Is there any way to do it without re-compressing?Thanks 

Is it possible to upload an SRT file using Premiere Elements? Unless I've overlooked it, I've not seen any recent evidence supporting this feature/function.  Thanks for any help.

Bonjour,Un fichier indésirable se pose sur le bureau de mon pc lorsque j'utilise Premiere Element 2020.Quand je le mets à la corbeille, il revient presque immédiatement en étant un peu plus lourd d'ailleurs (il passe de 10ko à 84ko). Il est plus long à revenir lorsque j'utilise le destructeur de fichier bitdefender.Quelqu'un saurait-il ce qu'est ce fichier et comment m'en débarrasser définitivement ?Je le mets en pièce jointe.Merci beaucoup.RICHARD

Hello When i insert my video into premiere elements the pop up videomerge box comes up telling me i have a solid background colour in the video.  if i choose to video merge my video goes entirely black and if i dont videomerge it goes entirely green. How can i rectify to have my mp4 file insert correctly.  Thank you 

I really hope someone can help me figure out how to turn off (DESLECT) "Auto Amounts" in ADOBE PREMIERE ELEMENTS 10. EVERY new video that I add to a project now has Shadow/Highlighting added to it because I made the mistake ONCE of selecting "Add Shadow/Highlighting automatically", now I can't turn it off. About a month ago, I needed to add Shadow/Highlighting to a video file so I added it from the "Video Effects" page.  When I saved the altered file, there was a checkbox option that was unchecked so I selected/checked it because I thought it would be nice if this effect was added to each file in this project automatically. Problem now is that it adds Shadow/Highlighting to EVERY single file I insert on my NEW PROJECTS and I have to manually open the "Edit Effects" page for each new file and DESELECT (TURN OFF) Shadow/Highlighting. Now I have a normal looking video file, but I shouldn’t have to do this for every file I insert into a project. &nbs

How to type symbol (e.g. degrees) in text using Elements without knowing symbol fonts, etc.

In Elements 2018, using “Dual Monitor Workspace”, it is impossible to use 2 monitors, because, for instance, whit “play/pause” the time line “jumps” into the other monitor, over the screen of the image. How can this be fixed? 

I have a new HP Envy computer and have never had this problem with my Dell. I now have an external DVD player/burner on my HP. I am using PE 12 and have never had this problem before. I have done numerous projects and always have had success in burning and play back. I am using Windows 10 and am able to burn my project to a DVD it will play in my computer but when I go to install it in my Sony DVD player it will not recognize the disc. I have tried both -R and +R disc and neither of them will work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried reaching out to HP but they want to "charge me" and my laptop is brand new. 

I am trying to burn a disc that will play in my Sony DVD player and it will not read the disc. I have burned numerous disc in the past and have used all of the same file formats and type of disc. I am using a Verbatim -R disc, I have mp3, jpg, png, mov files on my project  I am using PE 12  The disc will play back on my computer but not my DVD player  I using Windows 10 and a HP computer with an external burner GP 70N  The only thing I can read it that perhaps the disc is not finalized but then I read that with Adobe I don't need to finalize. Any suggestions? As a side note I did get one disc to burn and play back but cannot seem to duplicate that process. What is it doing differently the only thing I can think of I may have  

Windows 10 Pro, E5-1620 @3.60 GHz, 8GB RAM, 64-bit OS, 200GB free disk spacePE12 was downloaded from Adobe and reinstalled today - Ver 12.0 (20130921.main.567661)Attempting to burn DVD, almost immediate transcoding error.Source files are AVI files, widescreen.I've been at this for hours and have performed considerable troubleshooting steps.Burned multiple projects last weekend without trouble.Returned to new projects today and Windows prompted for permission to install new OneDrive icons (this is the only known change to my system, an indication that possibly Windows updates were installed).  I checked history and the last updates to be installed were 10 days ago.A new project encountered "Transcoding error".  I tried last weekend's projects, also had same error.Searched the forum, tried a few suggestions, no improvements.Uninstalled Adobe Creative Cloud, PE12 and PS12.  Reboot.Downloaded newest bits from Adobe (although they are the same as what was installed.Reinstalle

Hello, all. I have Premiere Elements 2020, and I'm working on a project where content came from two different cameras, a Sony and a GoPro.   All native files were uploaded to sharepoint, where I downloaded them all as mp4s and then added the content to the projects.   I can add the files from the Sony cam onto the timeline no problem, but the files from the GoPro (Hero5 Black, if it matters) crash the program every time I drag the files onto the timeline.   When I drag the files onto the timeline, sometimes before it crashes/closes it doubles up the image in the video (like a side by side within the viewer) and the image fragments seperates all the colors in the lower third of the screen (see attached screengrabs).  When I try to play, it crashes and closes.  I'm working with all the video files on an external hard drive, if it  matters.  It has me at a full stop.  I'm on a newer Lenovo

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 2020 Version 18.0 (20200130.daily.2070236When I play a video in VLC, the video end sound are in sync.When I import this video in Video editor of APE 2020, the video and sounds go out of sync.I have asked 2 other people with APE 2020 and they have the same problem.Is there a solution WITHIN Adobe?

I have created a Home Movie video with several clips (kids birthdays, etc.) using Adobe Premiere Elements 2020.  I treated each event (clip) as a separate Scene.  Using a Movie Menu with Main Menu and Scene Menu, my movie preview behaves as expected (skip back and forth between scenes, etc.).  Rather than burn DVDs, I want to Export this video to a file that will play on a computer (I welcome suggestions for video player software) and/or from a thumb drive on my TV with the full Menu functionality I would get from a DVD.1.  Is this possible?2.  How?

Hi,I've been using Premiere Elements 11 for quite some years now. All went fine until two weeks ago. Nothing changes to my hardware config or drivers, but when I try to open the Transitions pane or the Effects pane, the program just quits.Looking into the Event viewer shows a fatal application error related to KERNELBASE.DLL.Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that didn't do the trick.Tried removing the standard windows driver for my ATI Radeon 4600 (yes, I know, it's old) and replace it with the ATI version (Legacy). Didn't do the trick.Created a dump of the crash to a .dmp file, but don't know how to analyse these 😉 Files are located here. My operating system is Windows 10.Anybody who can help me out?

Hey, I just updated from the trial version and bought Adobe Premiere Elements 2020.  When I did so, the transparent banner in the middle of my initial project that says "Adobe Premiere Elements trial version" didn't go away.  I've spent a lot of time already on the project and I'd prefer to not start over. Any ideas? Newbie

Using Trial Premier Elements 2020.Unable to input/capture from DV/DVCAM Recorder via Firewire. Unable to find "Device Control" tab in order to select IEEE 1394 input/capture. 

I have a USB device that accepts video and audio input.  Premiere Elements sees the device, so I can chose its two components for video and audio input when I use Add Media from Webcam or WDM.  The capture window shows the entire video but when the video is done and I hit pause,  the asset only has "00;00;39;22" as the duration.   This input is 46 minutes long.   Is there some setting for how much to capture??

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 2018. how do I make a time-lapse video from an existing video. I have watched videos of this process but I cannot seem to get the speed down to a shorter video clip.

HelloI am using adobe premiere elements V18.If I Import a file in mov-format, the video is only synchron to the audio if I start from the beginning. If I start from somewhere else the video does not match the audio. That is a pity for cutting of course.With mp4-format it works well.Additionally it is not possible to export the mov-video as an mp4 correctly.
