I previously had Premiere Elements 12. I didn't use it much, but I had been able to drag videos into it, assemble final videos, etc. Then, for some reason, the video stopped working. If I dragged a video file into the timeline and hit play, I'd just see gray and hear the audio. If I double-clicked the video to just play the source, I got the same result.I decided to upgrade it, hoping maybe just the installation of Elements 2019 would solve the problem. No suck luck. I still get a gray box and hear the audio. If I open the video in organizer, I get the same thing.I should stress: I've tried numerous source videos from all over my hard drive, in varying formats. I've tried MP4s, AVIs, etc. My videos play in other players; it's just the Adobe Premiere Elements and Organizer that do it. Any clues on where to begin debugging this?
Hello there! I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who could lend me their expertise!I am not extremely technical but I am absorbing as much information as I can while searching for a good video editing laptop. I edit videos on a regular basis for my YouTube channel and I need a powerful laptop that can handle multi-tasking with editing video as well as photos in Photoshop Elements. I'm used to using Premiere Elements (wouldn't mind upgrading to Premiere Pro, but it is just so much more expensive! So I figure I'll stick to Elements, at least for now). I've kind of fallen in love with the Surface Book 2 because I love the idea of the detachable screen with the Surface Pen for digital art. But I'm wondering whether the Surface Book 2 will actually give me a good video editing experience if I use Elements 2019.I've been reading about how Elements doesn't utilize the GPU, just the CPU. So I'm wondering whether the i7 processor version of the 13
I'd like to burn a DVD with several videos, such that it will then be playable on a DVD player/TV. I'd like for it to have a way for the user to select one of the videos, and play it. Can Premiere Elements 15 do that?
I've taken a large number of still images using a 300mm lens on a DSLR of whales in Alaska. Many of them are shot at better than 5FPS (8fps) so I might have 40 or so frames of whale action in each sequence. Most of the still images are 13.8MB 5568x3712. I want to make a few slo-mo clips of this action. Some of the frames will need to be centered better and leveled as the background is occasionally tilted. Also cropping needed. Is there a way to make these clips using Premiere elements? Or is it some multi step process using Photoshop Elements to do some of the pre edits? Any tutorials out there that someone can point to?
Hello, I have about had it with the continuous amount of times i've tried and failed to import a video taken in, '4k 60fps' on my Iphone XS into Adobe Premiere Elements 2019. Can someone please help me with this error:[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from Premiere Pro to Premiere Elements... Mod]
It would be nice to have additional metadata fields displayed in the column headings in the Assets Panel...for example, Date Created.Do I have to move to Premiere Pro CC to get that? Are there other tools that editors use to fetch that data easily while working in PremElem (other than using Properties in File Explorer)? Thanks,MM in Carlsbad
I can do everything I need to with photos but the minute I try and add text both Elements and Premier freeze. I am not sue how long this has been happening as I haven't opened the program for a while and Windows has done a upgrade recently. Thanks for any helpSusan
when using adobe premiere elements 11, while importing a video of 3-5 minutes long, it will only import the audio file and extend it to a 35 minutes audio file, how do I fix this? never had a problem before, have had the program for about 10 years.
I just purchased Premiere 2019 (previously had 2015 version). When I load quicktime movies (*.mov) movies, there is pure static in the audio. But these movies if played by themselves (not in Premiere) have fine audio with no problems. What can I do so that the .mov videos will pay correct audio in Premiere?

Hi there, can anyone tell me how I can take a home made family video on a camcorder, and turn it into a movie, BUT store it onto a USB, instead of DVDs. I have previously made many home videos and have them stored on Dvds, but how do I store them on usb with menus etc, so the usb can be just plugged in and played. Surely there is a program out there somewhere. DVDs are becoming out of date for storing family memories. Thanks in advance for any help. cheers Nanna Patsy
Hiin elements 2019- orgenaizer-it's a liitlebit complicated to explain but i will give it a try.i have tags with hierarchy like showing here:so i want to use the marked tag and i'm trying to understand if there is a way that when selecting a sub tag (or sub sub tag) - there is a way that it will automaticlay pick all the tags above this one. meaning in this example i want it to tag in one action the lowest tag in the hierarchy (AF 14) and one level above it (Data Machine) and one above it (Pruning/picking towers)is this possible at all? Thanks!Message was edited by: Gil Shapira
I am having the same issue! UGH! I am using Windows and the watermark does not go away.
When exporting a project the file name is added to the beginning and end of the movie. How do I stop this from happening?
I'm having issues with the audio and video being synced, AFTER I do some edits in Premiere Elements 14. When I pull the mp4 file into the program, everything is fine. After I make some cuts, the audio is out of sync with the video. I am looking for a solution to this problem.
I have recently downloaded the trial version of Premiere Elements as it has been suggested to me that it would be an acceptable replacement for the elderly Windows Movie Maker 6 which I have been using for years. I successfully put a title at the beginning of my Video Story but could not work out how to change the colour of the background and/or text. I am sure it is easy when you know how! It seems that one should be able to add text before items within the video story and at the end but, here again, I could not seem to get the text box to go live so that I could type in the required text. I would appreciate any assistance offered. Another problem I encountered was with the Output Preview. I would have expected that when I clicked on the house'shaped cursor it would set the video going but this did not appear to happen. I could click on the cursor and drag it along but this does not give a true picture of what one is getting in the final
I mistakenly bought PE2019 having seen that is supports h.265. I didn't read deeply to dsee that it does on MacOS. On my Windows machine it does not. $99 mistake on my part.
I've seen that this is possible on a Win, but how is it done on a Mac?I want to make a square preset, for SoMe clips.Any help will be appreciated.Best regards,Ricki
I just downloaded Premier elements 2019 and I'm having a lot of issues with it. The workspace crashes within seconds of me opening it now and I have been completely unable to get the video editor to open. I am not very computer savvy so I apologize if I need to get more information. finding the computer specs was challenging on its ownI'm running the program on a 2 year old Aesus intel Core i7 7500U CPU@ 2.70ghz 2.90ghz11.9 GB of installed ram usable 64 bit operating system x64 based processorI haven't upgraded or touched anything of this stuff so its factory defaultI don't know what "drivers" and stuff like that I have I apologize, I will try to find that out
So I've been working on a video for a few weeks off and on and went to finish it up today. However, the program now keeps crashing within seconds of opening or it'll stay open and when I hit play the line will move and the audio will play but it's just stuck showing one frame the whole way through and sometimes it'll zoom way in on the frame where you can only see the top of my head and is just stuck there while the audio plays. If I try and skip to another clip it may try to play for a few seconds (just audio) then the program crashes) I've tried rendering it as well and it just stops at 1 frame besides making it to 200 something once. My computer specs are Windows 10Intel 9700k1080Ti32GB ram
I have 20+ reels of 8mm film that were digitized by Kodak. Many of the frames need individual editing. I was hoping Premiere would work much like a text editor. Select frames (words) on the timeline by highlighting and then select a tool to cut and paste, lighten or sharpen, change contrast etc. I have been able to do some of the aforementioned editing but only at the beginning or end of the timeline. How do I get to the middle? thanks
I upgraded recently to a 2018 Mac Mini with an external GPU, and just installed my Premiere Elements 11 - (running latest Mojave version 10.14.5). It runs ok except I can't hear any audio. Bummer.Anyone know of a work around?
I can not get my clips to play from the timeline via the viewer/player. When I click the buttons for play etc nothing happens
Hello all,I've run into a curious situation with Premiere Elements 2018. My desktop computer runs an 8-core, 16-thread i7 5960X with plenty of memory, fast storage, and two nvidia GTX 1070 GPUs. I also recently picked up a Lenovo X1 Yoga 3rd gen, which has a 4-core, 8-thread i7 8650U, also enough memory and fast storage, and has a much less-powerful Intel integrated GPU. IPC per core of the two CPUs are essentially identical, and clock for clock, the 5960X is actually faster. Here's my issue:When using the same 4K input footage, with the same project settings and same output, encoding/transcoding is more than TWICE as fast on my 4-core laptop, which keep in mind begins thermal throttling pretty quickly, than on my 8-core desktop which has more than twice the cores. Every single benchmark gives my desktop a 2.5X advantage, and when using Handbrake, or other tools, that holds up.So, I ran the GPUSniffer tool on my desktop, and it spits out " * Not chosen because of kernel failure." on bo
