I recently purchased and installed Premier Elements 2018. When I import AVCHD (.mts) files recorded with a Canon Camcorder, the video appears fine, but the audio portion disappears. The audio is in the file, and plays fine in in a separate play program. Any ideas what the problem might be?
Good day,Using HB Pavillon Series PCSony DCR-HC85 digital video camera.avi is 720 x 480 wide screen 30 fpsPremiere Elements 12I Have edited a number of programs with no issues except the occasional pop up screen asking where a certain file is before opening the current project.. I know typically that I have moved, deleted or renamed files or folders that where imported into the project..This is something I can't get my head around to ask at one point where did I rename or move files? A little background, my wife and I went to Yellowstone Park in spring of 2017 wonderful trip.. Shot seven cassettes of tape, downloaded them to the program using several folders for convenience.. I had completed about 1 1/2 hrs. onto the time line, all worked out well. Pushed the "Save" button on the top right corner and closed out. At a later time I would open up the program and continue to add to the time line, no issues.I used an external H/D to backup program or project by click
Does Adobe allow a release of a license key for this product in order to install it on a new computer? This is a product that was purchased in 2012 as a download and isn't part of the cloud subscription model Adobe is currently using. The computer it's installed on is now being replaced. We just don't want to get a new system and try to install and not be able to use the license we have already purchased.
I downloaded the trial version of Premiere Elements 18 with a view to try then buy. I have found that many clips do not play their included sound. I have tried every fix that I can find on your site but none work. I am using Windows 10.I am disappointed as I have used Premiere Elements before (previous version on a different computer) with no problem. I would like to purchase the program but not if it does not work on my PC.Thank you
Hi,Any video or clip that i download on the Adobe Premiere 11 is choppy. as soon as i click on it, it hangs for minute and after its stops that it goes back to being choppy. It worth mentioning that the sound is not choppy its only the video that is choppy. Please help me fix this. Thanks,Sanam from Project FIND
Video clips added to media are not playing fluidly, and stop playing after every couple of seconds. To restart, I must hit the space bar or the "play" icon. This is making it VERY difficult to edit or view videos being created.
Hello,I imported in the Premiere Elements video files (.mts format). When I play these files, it works ok. Then I cut individual video files to pieces I am interested in. When I play it afterwards (as multiple videos that have been cutted), the sound is ok, but the video runs faster, i.e. is not alligned to the sound. I have tried to export the final "movie" to different formats (avi, mpeg4), but the problem prevails. I.e. I do not know who to "force" the video to be alligned with its own sound. Your help is very much appreciated, thank you, Jitka
Evening All:Maybe a bit hard to describe my problem but here goes... I am at the end of a project and I am putting in some tight editing to tie it all together. The final minute or so consists of Video Track 1 that includes tightly edited short video clips along with stills, An Audio Track 1 unlocked so I can "fine tune" the position of the audio to where I want it in in the timeline and an Audio Track 3 with a music file dropped into the track. When I make my video 1 clip edits and add in lets say a still image, the Audio Track 3 above it ( music has also been edited) opens a big wide gap in the Audio timeline. The Audio 1 track (unlocked) also does the same thing just below the Video 1 track.Trying to get these clips all synchronized is like herding cats and I wind up with timeline of that 1 or 2 minute period that is all full of gaps and small artifact slivers of the clips I am simply trying to pull together. In other words, I simply need to insert, edit or add to ONE trac

Can you burn Bluray Discs using Premier Elements 2018@
Hello I've used adobe premiere elements 12, 14 and just last week up installed 18. The transitions and text options are all the same from 14 and I wanted to know if I could add more. I read the similar discussion and no I'm not in quick mode, I'm in expert and would like a few new fast paced transitions for my vlog videos. Are transition plugins only for premiere pro? Thank you.

Greetings,I am new to premier elements, but not new to premier in general. Is there a way to trim on the expert timeline rather than having to push the smart trim button? I'm used to having a razor icon to trim right in your workspace rather than having to switch to another screen. Thanks in advance.Mike
I am trying to create a dvd from some old mini DV tapes. I imported the files on another computer (that had ieee 1394/firewire) and transferred the files to my machine. I created a project without a problem and started to export to a dvd ISO file. The export process is taking a very long time - I was at 10% after over an hour. The strange thing is that the process is not bound by any hardware limitations.. it seems that Premiere Elements is just sleeping instead of converting.I am running an i5 at 3.3 GHz on Windows 10 64bit with 16 GB of RAM.The video is on a 2TB spinning disk with more than 1TB free and temporary files seem to be going to my boot drive wich is an ssd with 250+ GB free - which means disk space and speed are not the issue. The system shows that I have about 7GB of free RAM during the export - so it isn't thrashing or other memory-bound problem. The CPU averages 5% load during the render/export.It should at least be maxing out one logical processor. What c

Hey, I recently tried my hand at time lapse star photography. After I compiled the photos in After Effects, my footage had a strange "light spot" or area of unsightly lighter coloration in the middle. Is there any way I can fix this with Premiere pro or After Effects?
Hi all,I often have 2 hour + long videos where I just want to trim the first few minutes and last few mintues to get rid of any superfluous parts.I do not want to "edit" it and then render it out.I just want to "delete" the first few minutes, the last few minutes, and then hit save, and the video is done. No lengthy rendering times wanted.I was told this is called a "video splitter" and tried a couple of those programs.I have used Avidemux to do it with some success. But that's all it does (I think). Now looking for a more feature-rich editing program (hopefully under $150 USD) for Windows that will also do this video spliting as well as normal editing.Does anyone know if Adobe Premiere Elements will also do this video splitting? Thanks

Hi all, I've been having issues with adobe premiere elements 2018. Namely it crashes when I try to edit video (which kind of defeats the object but never mind)... Having done some research I have discovered that editing 4k video (shot from a GoPro) may be putting too much demand on my machine (apple MacBook Pro 2017) and causing instability a possible workaround was editing using proxies to reduce the workload.I am not after winning an Oscar for editing, I just want to edit personal videos into something more watchable.can anyone explain in very simple terms how I can do this in adobe elements 18? The easier the explanation the better. I have only just started editing and bought this software primarily because it got good reviews for being easy.thank you
Hi, So if I am showing a clip of my kids when they are 4 years old, I want to show a date to the viewers of my video while its playing. Like, "2009" or something. Can I overlay text on a clip somehow? The only way I am seeing to do this is by using titles, inserting a whole slide with the text I want to display. Is this the only way? Thanks!
I'm using Premiere Elements 10, and I have these columns on either side of the clip in the video viewing area that are black after I export. I was wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of them? My assumption is that the "workarea" or whatever it's called is not full and that it is not the same size as the clip itself, but there isn't any other options and a video I edited months ago, before this issue came, still gets them if I import it. The main thing I am working on has black bars at the top too, which I don't really mind, but have black on all 4 sides makes it look too small. Here's a picture to show what I mean: https://i.imgur.com/bVMv8Iy.jpg
When I am working on a project in Premiere elements and decide to move the window to my second monitor (or move anywhere) it smears/trails/streaks everywhere. Please see the screenshot I attached. Does anyone have a fix? It never used to do this. I tried to uninstall and reinstall with no luck. Only this software does this. All other programs and windows are fine... Something strange I noticed is that if I remote into this PC from another PC and move the window, it does not streak. I have two problems. Sometimes trimming a bittorent video enlarges the borders in the final save so that the screen size dimensions are smaller. I imagine that it might have to do with video was structured. I usually save it according to how PE interprets the video (ie 720p).2nd, If I split a multi-scene video into individual scenes, the sum of all the scenes vastly exceeds the size of the original video. For example, I might trim a 3GB video into its individual scenes and the sum of all the scenes might be 8GB. I'm assuming that it might relate to how the video was originally compressed. Any thoughts?
