Premiere Elements

Recently purchased a Phantom 4 Pro capable of 4k 4096 x 2160Unfortunately it's too demanding for my Premiere Elements 16. (I'm using intel i7-7500, 8GB ram, 2GB GPU, 225 SSD)Adobe tech support solution was to covert the files to 1080 - not acceptable in my opinion so I've been looking for other alternativesI've found this postProxy Editing with Premiere Elements 10 But I'm having trouble following it for Premiere Elements 16. I've also noticed that Pro offers an ingest function that unfortunately PE doesn't.Any assistance is welcome. Ideally I want to be able to work with a proxy in elements and avoid having to convert all my videos for editing.Thanks

I installed a plug in  premier elements 15. "neat video"  to take out grany/noisy  images. it works well in time line, but not i ca not burn videos.to  prove it i took out the effect and i burned a DVD without problem but when i put back the effect primer elects closes. so  i can not burn a disc nor i can save in a file, because in the process it crashes.please help!! thank you

In Premiere Elements 2018, I have an issue with 4k video clips freezing/lagging when I pull them down into my timeline. This problem just started occurring recently. I haven't changed any settings but a couple weeks ago it ran flawlessly and now this is happening. I've read multiple threads on here about how to fix this issue but none help. There is no orange or green bar above clip and when I press "render", the clip does nothing but starts to play the video. I have contacted Adobe Support a total of 5 times on the same issue (2 times over the phone, 3 times through chat). Each time the tech takes over through Remote Access, they update the drivers (which are already updated) and nothing seems to help. The last time the tech took my info and said he would look into it and contact me back. Nobody has contacted me back and I received an email saying the issue was resolved (which it is not). I'm really frustrated with Adobe right now. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?Windows 10 (64 bit)i7-7700 @ 3.60G

I tried to get help in another forum but got no resolutionso I got the full package with my computer I loved my premiere elements for my youtube videos, www.youtube.com/thedesertartist but when I downloaded edge because firefox was loading up my computer with CRAP, it crashed my computer,.. so now I am listless with my youtube videos and cant seem to find out how to use my beloved lost elements program without repurchasing. it came with my computer, being a disabled veteran with head trauma and memory issues my problems seem to be more confusing to me than the normal person, I am confounded beyond belief and never thought it would be this difficult to progress thru getting a re-install of my program (of which I have all the files for) that i loved so much without having to re-purchase ANOTHER program,.. I loved my elements, but it being the price it is I have other options,.. is there any way to re-install it without having to buy it again? or have a been screwed by Microsoft inadverte

I do a lot of videos, did one 5 days ago.... all of a sudden my elements won't play....It will load video, it will allow me to move cursor, but it will not play

I am using a trial version of Premiere Elements. I exported a video but am unable to run in it in the MP4 format which it is saved.  I checked and I have DirectX 12 on my laptop. However I see a comment that DirectX 12 although installed is not yet running on Windows 10. I have no experience with this sort of thing and would be grateful for advice.

Hi all,I have gone through almost all posts concerning this topic and have followed the recommended solutions. Unfortunately I am still not happy with the result of my exported videos. Here's my setting upfront (I am from Germany, so please excuse if I will be unsing wrong terms or wordings).I come from iMovies and Final Cut Express and working with a Testversion of PE2018 to see if it matches my requirements. I am working with a Panasonic sd909, so AVCHD format. The format parameters of my recorded files are:Format: H.264, 1920x1080, 25 FPS, AC3, 48kHzWhen I start a new project I chose "PAL-AVCHD-Full HD 1080i 25" as settings for my new project, as this is exactely the format I am recording. Via SD-Card I import the files. There is no orange line under the time line, so the setting matches the file I imported. In my recent testing I didn't do any cutting or editing the the clip. I just went to the export function. And no matter which output format I chose, the final file is clearly wo

I have a box copy of Photoshop Elements 15 and Premiere Elements 15 I got a few months ago. I wanted to install it today, but I don't know where my serial number is, and that's what the installer is asking me for. I looked on a support page that said it was on the disk sleeve, but I didn't see it there. I don't know if I put it in wrong or didn't see it somehow, or if it's not on the sleeve at all. Basically, I can't find it.

A few weeks ago, after a windows 10 update, I started getting  a message every time I started my computer that adobeGCClient/adobe.caps.dll was not designed to run on windows or contained an error. This also occurred every time I started either Photoshop Elements 15 or Premier Elements 15. Despite this both programs worked OK..I assumed it related to Adobe Updater and continued to use both programs. I successfully produced a video In Premier last week but today, after the latest Windows 10 update, every time I try to  share a video the the program crashes with the message Adobe Premier Elements 15 Preset manager.dll is not designed to run on Windows 10.The system is no longer usable. What can I do?

The video preview of the clips does not work anymore, it freezes.This problem started a few days ago, without apparent reason (prior to that, everything was fine)Audio preview still works normally.I tried several remedies, none worked. It is NOT a hardware acceleration problem. This is a software problem.Please help. I need to build movies for clients.

A new user here. Just installed PrE 2018. When I select an MP4 from Organizer, the disk usage goes to 100% and just stays there; the movie never plays. It's a video that is about 90 seconds in length.Any help would be appreciated!

HelloI recently upgraded to Premiere Elements 18.Whenever I use a garbage matte on an image that I have also applied a blend mode to, a strange pixelated green outline forms around the border of where I have the garbage matte. I use this technique to add visual effects to my videos and films. I add an image, use a blend mode to take out the background, and than add a garbage matte to trim any unwanted edges, or make the overlay appear to be behind something in the frame. Even when the project is saved to the computer, the green outlines still appears. Sometimes the outline is black, but it is always very thin and pixelated. This essentially makes this effect unusable, because the outline is extremely distracting and looks like an amateur mistake. I did not have this problem when I used earlier versions of Premiere Elements, such as Premiere Elements 13. I am new to video editing, so this is all a learning experience for me...I have 2 books on order.I am trying to import a .MOV file into Premiere 11 and play it, however all I get is a GREEN screen...the audio portion of the file DOES play, so I know some portion of the file is being read by Premiere.How can I get Premiere to show the video portion of the clip?Any help would be appreciated!Thanks,mm

Using Premiere Elements 2018 in Windows 10.  Have a file in which I collected maybe 50 clips.  Suddenly the last few clips show a red preview and will not play.--Restored previous versions of prel file to no avail.--Deleted the Adobe folders in Documents--Deleted the 18.0 file in AppDataReally eager to get this resolved.

I am a Premiere Elements user since six-seven years back in time. No major problems during this years.  I decided today to purchase an upgrade from Premiere Elements 14 to the 2018 version. After that I noticed a LOT OF negative feedback and concerns from users in different forums - based on different reasons regarding slow, poor rendering speed, instable etc  and I am almost afraid of installing it if it can corrupt previous video projects. I am producing a film and has spent weeks editing that film and must eliminate all kind of riskAny recommendations would be appreciated.

I have created a slideshow using Organiser 15. On the Create menu I clicked the 'DVD with menu' button and then added the slideshow. When I clicked on 'next' nothing happened. I then decided to open Premier Elements 15 and clicked 'Add media' but it would not insert the slideshow. Any suggestions will be welcomed. Thanks Steve.

I am currently using PE 2015. Do I have to do a full install of 2018 upgrade and then retrieve the backup file of PE 2015 or can I just do an Upgrade of 2015 to 2018?Thanks for the input.

Hello,I'm planning to move from iMovie to Premiere Elements 2018.Installing the trial version was no problem but my first tests where very disappointing.I dragged some clips (H.264) into the timeline and made some cuts, effects etc.UI and features are all fine but working with the software is horrible.Preview is shuttering even with small modifications.Any ideas how to find out the bottle neck?Best regardsJens

Es geht trotzdem nichts.Ich arbeite sehr wenig mit dem Programm und kann mich erinnern, dass ich das letzte Mal Einstellungen mit dem zoom gemacht habe und seit dem ging nichts mehr.Das war noch mit der alten Grafikkarte.Vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen, das Problem zu lösen.GrußHermann

I bought the Premier Pro over a year ago and finally have a machine that will run it, but now I have trouble downloading it. It says that the platform is for Windows, but I have a Mac (I also had a Mac when I bought the product). How do I change it?

I recorded some video with a Sony Xperia phone.All of the files were recorded in MP4 format.  I was able to watch all of them on the phone after they were recorded without any problem.I exported the files to my Windows 10 PC.  Some of the files work great in Adobe Premiere Elements (I can see the video and hear sound).Others do not work at all.  I am getting an error that the file is not supported or that there is an issue with the codec.When I try to open the file with the Windows Media Player, I only get a black screen with no sound.I have tried the Handbrake program, and it cannot open the files, either.I have tried changing the extension to mkv, mpg, mov and wav.  None of these work allow me to open the files in Premiere.I have also downloaded the newest Quicktime.  Unfortunately, this will not let me open the files.Help will be greatly appreciated with this.

I have a problem with a disappearing Movie Title.  I load it using Movie Menu, Movie Title Here, put in the title and select Done. I come back the next day all I see is “Movie Title Here” not what I put in.Today I made a preview copy, DVD, to show to a group and when I opened the DVD it did not show the title but, “Movie Title Here”.  I’m glad it was an understanding group.Any thoughts?Thank you.  Cheers! Hello, I try and import to timeline (I did before) but it says already imported at C/users/myname - but its not there...? Any suggestions, weitd how I cant find file, thks, Jeff

I cannot change the title because 'the file is open'. How do I close this file ?

Error message- The project appears to be damaged, it cannot be opened.
