Premiere Elements

I cannot add audio to the timeline from any files on my pc. Always get this error. None of the solutions I've seen have worked.

Using Premiere Elements 15, is it possible to have a video pause and add notations and the start up again?  Want to add an arrow where I want the viewers attention to go - then want the action to continue.  Is this possible?Thanks

Hallo,ich habe ein ca. 30min langes Premiere Elements Projekt, welches ich mit Version 14 erstellt habe. Das Projekt läßt sich zwar in Version 2018 öffnen, jedoch friert 2018 ein, wenn ich versuche das Projekt zu rendern. Ebenfalls friert 2018 ein, wenn ich versuche das Projekt zu exportieren. Keine Fehlermeldung nur ein "stille Absturz". In Version 14 gab es mit dem Projekt keine Probleme.Ich bitte um Hilfe.OS: Windows 10, Build 16299.19Danke & Grüße.

Ich habe Adobe premiere Elements 15 auf meinem Laptop installiert. Obwohl mein Laptop die Systemanforderungen erfüllt, läuft das Programm nicht korrekt. Ich füge Fotos, Titel, Musik etc. ein, doch der Bildlauf ist stockend oder es passiert gar nichts. Auch "Lücken" schliessen funktioniert nicht korrekt. Das Programm schliesst nicht nur die Lücken auf der Leiste wo ich bin, sondern macht ein riesen Durcheinander.

just have a quick question.If you buy adobe premiere elements 2018 can you use older versions of elements like 15 or 14 or do you have to buy them individually

I've been editing on a circa 2009 MacPro with four 800GB HD's in a RAID configuration. It's been a reliable beast but it's getting old and I'm thinking about switching to the newest MacBook Pro with 3.1GHz quad-core 7th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.1GHz  -  whatever "Turbo Boost" is - almost sounds like getting "true coat" on your car.The friendly Apple people assure me that the laptop will work fine editing full-length feature films in 4k RAW. Has anyone made the switch? And if so, what are your thoughts?

Hey everyone,I'm really new to this program and this is the first time I've posted on the discussion boards. I'm having an issue, which has now gotten to the 'I have 3 days to fix it' stage, so could really do with some help!I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 15 to finish off a project I'm working on. I edited the bulk of the footage in Final Cut Pro and am now using Premiere Elements to put together the menu for the DVD. I'm using the Pan and Zoom menu template, which I have added music and a background to, along with the 2 menus options provided. The issue I am having arises when I put the DVD I have burned into a DVD player. I have tried both a standalone DVD player and my Playstation 4, neither of which are playing the disc happily. Specifically, I cannot highlight the 'Play Movie', 'Scene Selection', 'Main', or directional arrows to select the appropriate option. I downloaded and installed Premiere Elements 2018 Trial version without any errors.  When I try to start Premiere, I get the "Sign In Required" window. When I enter my Adobe ID and password and the hit the Sign In button, the window goes to another window titled "Adobe Premiere Elements 2018". That window says "Please wait for a moment..." and there is a spinning indicator showing that it must be doing something to try to authenticate my user ID. At that point it will continue to spin forever. I have left it spinning for hours and nothing happens. No errors, no indication that the ID is bad. I've tried this from the the Organizer (which works OK) and directly from the startup windows that gives you the choice of starting the Photo Editor, the Organizer, or the Video Editor and I get the same result.I also have Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017, Adobe Photoshop CC 2017,and Lightroom CC on the same computer.  Those all work fine. I use to run Premiere Elements 11 on this same machine

Hi there,I'm trying to blur the background of a video screen capture, while keeping the foreground in focus, similar to a portrait shot.The way I am achieving this is by duplicating the video, then adding a Gaussian Blur to the bottom layer - a 4 point Garbage Mate on the top layer - encasing the area that I'd like in focus.Is there a way to add a mask - select the area I want in focus - add a blur - invert the mask so that the background in now out of focus? This would reduce the file size significantly!If you have any ideas about a better way to achieve this effect, please let me know.Regards, Marcus

Hello,I previously installed these on my old PC, but this has died. I have just purchased a new Windows PC (i7 processor, 8GB RAM and 512 GB).  I am trying to now install these programs from my original disc onto this new PC. In both cases, I get as far as putting in my serial number and it begins to load, but the I get a message:  "Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component" It also gives me a series of other codes after this.  The only option is to click "OK" which then uninstalls everything.Would appreciate assistance to get this going.Thank you.

When I uploaded my first video, to YouTube, it created a whole new channel with no subscribers and did not up load to my existing channel. How do I take the video down from the unwanted channel and put it onto the correct channel?

I just installed PRE 2018 trial. I have been using PRE for 10+ years now and pretty good at the basic stuff. I took several videos I used very successfully in PRE 12 and opened them in PRE 2018. They came blank, no images. Rendering worked  on small clips but fail on large clips. Export would give me what I see, blanks. I added music and that was in the export.Win10, I7-7700, Dell, Nvidia 1050.Files are:Type: QuickTime MovieImage Size: 1920x1080Frame Rate: 29.92Pixel Aspect Ration: 1.0Frame Size: 1920x1080Compressor = Apple ProRes 422Quality - Most (5.00)Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.THANKS!

I just upgraded Premier Elements 14 to 2018. I have a problem now that I did not have before the upgrade...Playback of my timeline is very high speed - 2x? 3x? (before rendering the project). It renders at the correct normal speed.I do not know the cause.  I know there are many possibilities but I am sure it is just a simple setting because the same project plays fine with Pre14.=============windows 10-64dual monitor

I select photos in a Catalog, select Slideshow, nothing happens.

I have PE 13 and using mov files (prores) and the track matte key work as they should but I'm having problems with the trial of PE 2018 as it doesn't seem to like the same mov files and track matte key doesn't work as it should either.If I add a mov file over one of my tracks it just shows transparent straight away without the usual black and white animation it contains.Not sure if the compatibility has gone worse or it's something else. I keep testing the same mov files in PE 13 and all is well.Any ideas?Cheers

Note:  3 questions listed at end of introductionIntroduction:I have Adobe Premier Elements 14.  I am working on a big project that will integrate numerous elements (00's) video clips (mov files ) and still pictures (jpg).  All these elements were taken from 2 cameras:  Iphone SE or a Canon Powershot D10 (for the underwater pics) which are lower res than the Iphone. The Cameras were set for maximum image resolution. To simplify element management I was thinking  of  generating several sub projects with PE14 and creating several computer files (call them "MacroElement"  "ME")  based on grouping subset of jpg's based on common criteria like day or city visited.  Also do the same with groupings of video files.  Each ME in turn would have its own custom duration, transitions, background music and titles.   The main benefit is to make editing simpler on the Master Project and avoid  mistakes that might render a complicated proj

I have a Canon Vixia HG21. The videos are on the hard drive of the camera. I plugged it into the computer (Windows 7) and opened Premiere Elements 14. I had to import the videos using Files and Folders import. It loaded the videos into the program but how do I download them onto my computer into a specified folder? I don't want to edit them right now. I just want to put them on my computer to back them up.I tried the backup catalog option but that loaded all kinds of things into a folder plus some photos the program found on my computer. I only want the videos on my camera transferred to my computer to save them and access them when I want.Can Premiere be used just to transfer videos or is it only for editing?

I have edited a year's worth of family videos and put scene markers along the way.  I want to be able to jump right to a certain point in the year based on menu buttons.  I know how to do this for DVDs but I don't want to create a DVD.  I want to be able to do this on my computer.  How can I create and share my family video this way?Using Premiere Elements 15Windows 10steveng69334610

When I try to share a project prepared in Premiere 10, I either receive a message saying "A serious error has occurred, Premiere is shut down" or "SCDisc is containing an error or is not configured for Windows". Error code is 0xc0000020.The problem is relatively new, and I have not changed the system in any conscious way.I can also receive an additional text saying that the "mirroring of the memory is erroneous".I am running an up-to-date versi0on of Windows 10.Any suggestions regarding what I can do?I have tried uninstalling and reloading my program, but the problem is still there.Jan Dahlin

I've just spend an excruciating hour both waiting and trying to talk to support in India.Adobe - don't make the users regret choosing your products.So I loaded the demo, liked what I saw and bought it.After installation I only had 20 musical scores - not the advertised 50+.Essentially support is "oh well..."I was told there's no additional scores available and no way to add any, nor any way to install from the media.Wow.  A product for creatives with so many limits.So heres a few questions I hope folks can help with:Score formatScore location on diskAdding scoresReinstalling scores without the tedious process of uninstalling, and reinstalling the entire product with fingers crossed.Thanks!
