Premiere Elements

In premiere elements 2020 there is a clip effect and a Crop effect. I do not see what the difference is. My goal is the crop a video but it to upscale and not over pixellate like when I tried either effect.  

Hello, I recently purchased the MacBook Pro 2021 which is running MacOS Monterey version 12.5.1I redownloaded Premiere Photoshop and Premiere Elements 2022 from my previous laptop onto this one. Premiere Photoshop downloaded as normal and is working perfectly fine, but Premiere Elements keeps crashing upon startup.I have searched all forums on Adobe but cannot seem to find a solution for this particular problem. I have tried restarting my Mac, unistalling and redownloading Premiere Elements from different pages on the Adobe website, and even tried installing Premiere Elements 2021 instead; but the error continues. It does not show an error code or a failure to open report, it just simply disappears from the dock and does not open.It is driving me insane, please help!

I have some video clips where the person holding the camera sounds loud enough, but the person being videoed is further away & much quieter. Is there a way to automatically make the quieter voice louder throughout the clip?Thank you.

Greetings to all, I'm a Premiere Elements 2021 user... Recently, I noticed "Show Audio View" is unstable.  Not showing any audio waves in the timeline and the "Master" volume indicator shows many more tracks than I'm currently using (even after deleting all unused tracks).  After looking into "Preferences" I noticed that my GPU (AMD Radeon PRO W7500) is now no longer supported(?!)  Tried removing and reinstalling the software, to no avail...So, what gives?  Never had this problem before... All Best,Jake

elements quick working. i uninstalled, then resintalled, Got a code 199 message. what is code 199? adobe doesnt seem to know as all that they have advised wont work. i have deleted all adobe products from my pc in hopes that would clean out whatever the problem was. still get 

Can someone explain the quality differences between "quick export" and exporting using the "computer device" method set at 720p medium quality? This file I captured came from  a VHS tape with an Elgato capture cord. The captured image is 480pI performed both methods of export with a 1hr mp4 that was originally 678,000k,  after performing my edits. The exported "computer setting" file is 10  times the size and takes almost 10 times longer to export. The "quick export" mp4 file is 480pThe "quick export" mp4 file is 485,000kb while the "computer setting 720p medium quality file is 4,425,000.I am editing this file for a friend and I want to make sure the picture quality is good.Am I improving the video image by exporting to a 720p or just creating a larger file and wasting time? Does it upscale or not? Keep in mind these are old family vhs tapes that have been copied to my windows 10 machine.

Hello all, I have been tasked with editing some PE 2021 projects made on a PC. I have downloaded a trial of PE 2021 for the Mac (I'm running Monterey 12.5), as I understand that PE is not backwards compatible. I also understand that PE is cross platform.  The creator of the original files sent me .Prel files and graphics. These would not open. I got the standard "This project is not compatible with the current version of Premiere Elements " error message. Upon browsing through the program, I saw the Project Archiver. I asked the original creator to use this to supply me with files. He sent over the output of the Project Archiver for a single project, and the .Prel file will not open.  I would really like to avoid having to rebuild these projects. Does anyone have any clue what might be the issue here?  Thank you kindly.

Hello all, I'm having an issue getting HEVC to function in PE 2021. I've downloaded the paid codec from Microsoft and folowed numerous guides from other about getting HEVC to work still with no luck.AMD R7 370016GB ramAMD 5700XT video cardAny ideas that don't involve constantly trying to delete files and reset folders etc.

I video high school football games and create great highlight videos of the games.  Slow motion is an important tool for these highlight videos.  I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 2022. I just purchased a Sony ZV-E10 Camera which will record in XAVC S HD (I think this is a Sony form of MP4), 1920 x 1080, 120p.  When I import a clip into the project, the project settings are automatcially set up as:- Editing Mode:  AVCHD 1080p square pixel- Timebase: 59.94 frame/second-Frame size:  1920 x 1080- Display Format: 60fps Drop Frame Timecode Having a Display Format of 120 fps is not an option in Adobe Premiere Elements 2022. What issues will I encounter becuase I am using the 120fps video clips?  Will exporting the video be an issue bucuase the frame reate does not match the 120fps clips that I will be using? I prefer to use the 120fps because when slowing down the clips in Premiere Elements, I don't want the end result to be choppy whic

During exporting my project my PC crashes. Complete shutdown, display failure, you name it. Tried several things, like complete clean re-install, disabling half of my cores, hardware acceleration disabled, nothing works. But on the Adobe site I see that my graphics card should be supported. In the system it is recognized but it says that it is not supported (see below). Could this be the problem?Drivers are automatically updated by the NVIDIA software, so should be the latest drivers. Anybody with a solution?  

I am using Premiere Elements 2020.  What is the best way to copy a portion of Video A and paste it in Video B?  Both Video A and B utilize photoshop elements 2020.Thank you

This is my second post i guess the first got deleted. I recently purchased adobe premiere elements from my local best buy and for the past 4 days i have been trying to simply use the program. After installation it opens the app i see the options for organizer, photo editor, and video editor and when i click on video editor because that's what I paid 100$ for in the store it ask me to log in. Which wouldn't be an issue if it didnt constantly tell me im not connected to the internet when I am connected via ethernet cable and I've even tried connected to wifi to see if it makes any difference and it doesn't. However if  it manages to get passed the connect to internet screen it as for my login which i use a gmail and when you click the button for social connection  to sign it the app goes blank and opens my web broweser taking me to a page that says.You're all set!You can now close this browser tab and go back to your application. And sure enough everytime i do it the app d

I tried once before to get an answer to this without success so I'm trying again.  I'm trying to move the files that came from the camera.  In my prior attempt to get this question answered someone said to use the the Project Assets box.  If this is correct I can't figure out how.

I now have a problem when I am listening to music in media player and when I open Adobe Premiere Elements 2020 the sound goes from a full sound to an empty sound. It sounds like it goes from stereo to mono. Sounds horrid. I cannot seem to find any setting that has caused this. As soon as I close out the adobe my music goes back to sounding awesome. What am I missing or what has changed or how do I reset Adobe Premiere Elements 2020?

PSE Premier help says it's possible to trim a motion title by: Trim an individual title instance from the Expert view timeline In the Expert view timeline, locate the title to be trimmed in one of the video tracks. You might need to drag the video track scroll bar to expose the title. Hover the cursor over either end of the title until it changes to the ripple trim cursor . Then drag the end of the title to trim it. Gaps are closed automatically. If you created a black video clip for your title, you’ll need to trim that too. To trim without closing the gap, Ctrl-drag/Cmd-click the clip end instead. I've held the cursor over the scroll bar until I'm blue in the face and it never changes allow me to trim the title. Ctmd-drag didn't work either. I'm using PSE 2020 on a Mac.  How can I trim an individual title? 

I have Premiere Elements 2022, and I searched on YouTube for the topic of reducing, or removing background noise, but all I find on this topic is videos on Premiere Elements Pro 2022. The Pro version has a different setup, and a "denoise" function, but I cannot find how to do it on Premeiere Elements 2022. They are obviously 2 different programs because the "denoise" function is not where it's supposed to be in the "Window" menu.  How can I get rid of the hissing from my video?  I'm not even sure if it can be done with Premiere Elements 2022.

Hi,With PE21, I use .MTS files recorded in 1080p and audio 5.1 with my camcorder. With PE21, I create a project AVCHD with audio 5.1, and PE21 creates an audio Track 1 which is 5.1.When I insert my 5.1 MTS file into the timeline, instead a putting the audio just on the Audio Track 1, PE21 puts the audio on 6 tracks (cf. attached picture).I made the same thing with an audio 5.1 mp4 file, and I had the same issueHow to fix that ?Thx

I open Premiere Elements 2022. I try to open a .prel project as usual, but going to FILE, OPEN PROJECT, and when I click on it, it says, “loading project”, but then something strange happens. A new window pops up and wants me to choose a file again. When I choose the .Prel file, another window pops up and says, “file import failure; the type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed.” When I exit out of the File Import Failure window, and then I exit out of the Open Project window, my .prel project loads up, but it brings up something totally different than what I created, and no sound to boot. I didn’t have this problem before on my old Dell Inspiron laptop. I now have a Dell XPS 17 and I’m having a hard time getting my Elements video editor to work properly. I’m using Windows 11 and I’m not sure if that’s what’s giving me problems.

Help required importing MP4 files into Premiere Elements. I’ve been on the live chat this morning and it’s still not working. Premiere Elements doesn’t seem to recognise the External Hard Drive with all my Videos on it. I am using a MacBook Pro M1

Trying to import a MPEG4 created with an iphone by using Add Media as I normally do. I get "Importer reported a generic error" message. Thanks for any help. Greetings all,I pulled a completed MP4 I created earlier in PE2021 and placed it on a new timeline in a fresh project  to burn to disc. Somehow when I got to Export & Share so as to burn this project to disk, I jump immediately into a movie menu option. There is no way around it, I have to chose a template or I can't continue. I have no markers on the timeline and I can find no check box in the preferences etc to turn off a movie menu by default funtion if there is such a thing. I tried deleting the project and starting a new one but we always come to the movie menu choise.How does one remove a movie menu from a project and or if this is a default setting how do I turn it off?Thanks in advance. 

I've been using an earlier version of Elements for the last 5 years and it was great, I created over 1000 YouTube videos. But I thought it was probably time to upgrade, so I bought Elements 2022. Some of my videos are quite complex with 50 - 150 segments of B roll.Here are some of the issues.If I use any of my older video as B roll, there is an awful metalic looking fuzz as the video goes back to 4K footage. I cannot use static images as B roll for the same reason.Transitions cause the same issue as shown below.Occasionally if I use 4K B roll on the Video 2 line, it will also do the metalic fuzziness. So I now have to cut each section of B roll and then cut the Video 1 line, delete the A roll video (leaving the sound in place) and insert the B roll into it.I have updated my computer's graphic card driver as kindly suggested by someone in this community.Does anyone have any other ideas before I go back to the earlier version or give up on Elements altogether?Many thanks, Liz&n
