Are people with the Mac M2 Studios still encountering lagging playback, problems with dual monitors and other issues with Premiere Pro/After Effects? I'm planning to upgrade but was put off by some of the comments on this board. Thanks!

Dear community,I am currently starting professional video production for my company's YouTube. Graphic animation and post-production is going really, really slow in premiere pro. So my question is: Is it Premiere or is it my Laptop? Should I switch to After Effects, or should I ask for a new Laptop? I'm afraid both is not an option. I'm currently using a HP ProBook 455 G7 with an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with Radeon Graphics 2.38 GHz and 16 GB RAM.Many thanks in advance!Marius   [Typo in title edited by moderator]

Hi everyoneI am using a HP Omen Laptop of 32gb RAM, 1TB HDD, 8gb dedicated GPU and 4gb VRAM but my premiere pro 2021 still run slow.Simple text animation MOGRT slows down the playback and get the interface sluggish.Please what can I do about this? It's frustrating.

My son will be using Adobe Premiere Pro at school and we need to buy a notebook. We picked one that uses the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card. However, this graphics card is not listed among the recommended ones. Could that cause problems?

Good day, all! Looking for some recommendations on media drives for editing.   I'm an Adobe CC user working primarily from laptops (actually both PC and MAC) in a corporate environment.  Like many, we are moving to cloud-based storage for everyday work, but I'm wanting to keep working media files on desktop storage for a variety of reasons.  Just curious what people find works well for them. Thanks!  

I hadn't had any crashes from Premiere Pro lately. I downloaded Adobe Diagnostics, and it said that the issue that my laptop doesn't have 16 MB of RAM. My laptop doesn't have that much RAM, but Premiere Pro still runs on it. I already know what the answer is going to be. I'll give this a shot anyway. I did look at how to upgrade my laptop to more MB, but that involves, unscrewing the laptop and taking out the Memory Card (I think that's what it's called) 🤷‍♀️. Are there other ways to get more RAM for my laptop that doesn't involve unscrewing it?.

I wanted to get a laptop with the Arc A730M because it is on sale. But since the Arc series is still pretty new, i wonderd if it works well with the software and had it good peformace.

Commercial stills people photographer - portrait and lifestyle. I shoot a little video, not lots, and I'm by no means an expert video editor, which is why I'm using a MacBook Pro rather than a Mac Pro. I'm about to buy a MacBook Pro M2 Max, but want to get a better feel for how much RAM I should invest in and if it's worth adding extra internal storage for scratch disc use. I keep all my Documents on an external SSD so the internal drive is as clean and lean as possible (not always possible, but I try). My externals are G-Raid drives, setup as single volume JBOD's as I haven't felt the need to go to RAID for stills. When shooting video I'm mostly shooting with the Canon R5 at 4K and I don't do heavy editing.My options are 64 or 96 GB of RAM. I feel 64 would be more than enough for even the heaviest Photoshop and Capture One usages for stills, but I'm not sure with Premiere or other video editing like DaVinci Resolve.Is there any reason to have more than 1TB of internal storag

I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I can't get premiere pro to stop logging on to the timeline while I'm editing. I have a Dell XPS 17 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz with 64megs of ram and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU. There is no way it should be lagging at all and it sucks with just 1080p footage. I NEED HELP NOW!  Im getting ready to sell it and buy a MAC because this SHOULD NOT be happening!  Video is attached of whats going on!

Hey everyone so I'm exporting a single 5min scene in 4K BRAW to pro res 4444xq. I am on Nvdia accelerated...im writing to a fast 7tb SSD but my Read drive in a 40+ TB Raid 0 for max speed. My stats are showing my GPU and CPU are barely being used. The render takes 30min...for the hardware I have this seems slow but I could be wrong can anyone make any suggestions. I have a 2019 iMac, OS Monterey, and considering upgrading to 16 GB ram to do high-end graphics with CC 2023 apps. However, not sure if its graphics card can handle the new apps, or if it will be painfully slow? The card is a Radeon Pro 570X 4 GB. Thanks for your help!

Hello, I will soon start editing a feature film, which I haven’t done for years, and need to invest in a new system and storage. I am planning to edit R3D RAW files natively, ideally at 1/1 (but 1/2 absolutely fine,  down to 1/4 possibly being acceptable). 4K footage, perhaps some 5K (shooting with RED DRAGON DSMC2 and possibly GEMINI DMSC2, with some high speed footage (60fps). (I’m open to editing with proxies if there are good reasons to do it, but I prefer working with the actual footage and am used to this method). I am wondering what sort of drives would be best for this, bearing in mind it will be a large project (25TB of footage at a very rough estimate) with a small budget, and if I should be thinking about RAID. Any thoughts greatly appreciated Many thanks

I'm thinking about upgrading, currently working on Surface Pro 7+ (Intel i7 11th Gen and 16GB of RAM) but the challenge is that they're really expensive. i love the Surface Pro and would want to stick to it.   My question is, what would make a difference in AE: - upgrading from i7 11th gen (4 cores) to i7 12gen (up to 10 cores) (this means upgrading from Surface Pro 7+ to latest Surface Pro 9) (with 16GB of RAM) or - upgrading from 16GB of RAM to 32GB of RAM (the same Surface Pro 7+ with i7 11th gen). (latest Surface Pro 9 with 32GB of RAM is too expensive)   Thanks, Marek

I'm looking to buy a Mac laptop for my son just starting his Graphic Design studies in college. I don't want to break the bank with a top of the line model--but I do want something that can handle most Creative Cloud apps without struggling. I have a MacBook Pro (2019) with 32GB of memory and the Intel Core i9 processor. It handles everything I throw at it.Which of the lower end Mac laptops work best for Creative Cloud?  With the new M2 chip I've heard MacBook Airs work just fine.Please let me know if you have any recommendations.  Thanks in advance!

I have started a new role as a design team manager, and the team are on Dell Latitudes 5430 laptops. 16GB Ram, Intel Iris internal graphics etc.  The laptops get daily BSODs, cannot preview AE at more than 1/8 and each machine has consistent crashes daily. Really not built for intensive design work. I've been tasked with looking into the perfect machine that can handle our workload to replace them. // Workload Breakdown //- Heavy use of Ilustrator- AE open and animating the Ilustrator file GFX- Pulling comps into Premiere Pro for editing- Audition open and linked to Premiere Pro for VO and audio tweaks- AME for all exports Basically: I need a machine that can have illustrator, after effects, premiere pro and audition open at the same time without blowing up. Hi there, I'm planning on getting a new computer and I'm thinking of buying a 'Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Eagle OC 12GB GDDR6' as a graphics card. I will mainly work with Premiere Pro, After Effects and Cinema4D. I would like to know if this graphics card is good for running these programs.Thank you in advance for the answers.

...to an Alder Lake CPU platform. You can read the last post of my previous major upgrade here.  As I mentioned in my last post in that featured discussion, I selected an Intel i7-12700K. I also pondered whether to stick with DDR4 or go with DDR5 for this build. But after I discovered that current DDR5 prices are still more than double those of DDR4 memory, I decided to stick with DDR4. That is, I would have had to spend nearly $1,500 USD total for this DDR5 upgrade, and even if I had to settle for only 32 GB total of DDR5 RAM, the total cost would have still well exceeded $1,000 USD. So I ordered an MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk DDR4 WiFi motherboard (I could have settled for an MSI PRO Z690-A WiFi, but I was skeptical that two of its three m.2 slots are exposed with no heatsink covering, especially since I am already using two PCI-e 4.0 m.2 SSDs in my current Ryzen 9 5900X system) plus a Noctua LGA 1700 mounting kit for my Noctua NH-U12S (with two fans) CPU cooler.&n
