I am new to video editing. I bought a new computer with following specification. I think RAM and HD is not enough for video editing. Please advise me how much RAM & HD I have to add in. 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10700 processor (8-Core, 16M Cache, 2.9GHz to 4.8GHz) 12GB, 8Gx1 + 4Gx1, DDR4, 2933MHz 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive
There many recommended GC for Premiere Pro. I assume “recommended” mean it is good to have such GC. Computers come with built in GC. Therefore it is good to confirm particular built in GC is not good for Premiere Pro. What are the affects you can see if GC is not good?

I currently have a MacBook Air M1 8 GB & it's barely getting me by for editing 4K Sony a7siii footage. I'm wondering based on people's experience what the best system & specs are for efficient, and stress free editing? Do I just need better specs & stick with M1? Or move toward pc? thanks in advance!
Hi all, I'm looking into purchasing the latest MacBook Pro for video editing purposes. I'm choosing a laptop over a desktop so that I can edit on the go, although most of my editing will likely take place in my home office. I plan on connecting my 34" curved monitor to the laptop and using that for timeline editing, while using the laptop screen for previews only. The problem is the keyboard; I'd like to have one right in front of my larger editing monitor, but I don't want to have to put the whole laptop in front of that screen just so I can easily access the keyboard. So my question is, is it possible to attach a second, standalone keyboard to a MacBook? If yes, is said keyboard purchased from Apple only?
I want to uninstall and reinstall my mac operating software and all my adobe apps onto an ssd. My first question is will this affect any current projects I am working on in Premiere pro? And my second question is which SSD is best for handling these tasks?
With the video rendering and playback option there are no choices, area is greyed out."Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA)" or "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only" or "software only" option - there are no choices. I am unable to update my card's drivers, NVidia Quadro 2000. Nvida has no support on the card installed - in the HP Z800 Workstation. The installed graphic card work in the Z800 however the graphic card will not work with Adobe CC 2021. The graphic cards recommended by HP, on their HP Z800 site, are graphic cards that work with the motherboard that came with the machine. That the newer graphic cards will not work in the HP Z800 because of the newer technology. What graphic cards will work with Adobe CC 2021 and HP Z800 running Windows 10 64 Bit? I would sincerely appreciate a reference to a list of graphic cards that will work in this HP computer - so that I can render and playback using a graphic card that is supported by both CC 2021
Hi guys...I'm running a 1-year-old Dell Precision desktop with 32GB ram, an Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 graphics card with 24GB ram, I9 cpu, and 2 8TB HDs each about 15% used.If I had $200-$300 hanging around, what could I upgrade that would give me the biggest performance improvement with PremierPro 2022? The performance processing multicam 4K videos is killing me RAM?2TB internal SSD?Other? Thanks
Hi, I need some information.I want to build a PC for video editing and use Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition software. My questions are these:Does memory frequency matter for those who use these softwares? Is there a performance gain using memories with higher frequencies? The higher the CPU clock, the better the performance in After Effects? And on Premiere Pro the CPU clock doesn't matter? For Premiere Pro the more cores and threads on the CPU is the better? Is this the main thing? For After Effects and Premiere Pro does the video graphic card(GPU) have to have as much memory(VRAM) as possible and Cuda Cores? What else is important? Will a PC with two CPU(Processor) have double performance?Do two video graphics cards(GPU) on the PC also significantly improve the performance of software or Adobe softwares do not support this technology?I want to know everything that is most important to have on a PC hardware to use Adobe softwares. Thank you,Maria Fernanda
Quick question on processor clock speeds and how it affects 4k editing. I work at multiple locations and we have workstations at each building, my home computer recently failed and I am running a back-up computer just to get by.A computer tech that I work with all time has several HP 440's that's were pulled out of service and I can have one of those if I like. The HP440 is fine for at home because 90% of what I do at the house is Photoshop and Indesign. Sometimes I do need to edit some 4k footage on the weekend but very simple stuff and it's all from a Sony camera running their internal codec. He has one 14 core machine but the clock speed is only 2.6. Is that trouble to get playback with 4k? I was under the impression that you need a fast clock for playback. I have a GTX 970 that I can throw in for the graphics card. Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone,I just finished a chat session with Adobe Support about why Premier Pro CC keeps crashingIt finished with me being told point blank that my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card was not compatible.Ok, I can see that the GTX 1070 is not specifically mentioned in the recommended list at Adobe Premiere Pro System Requirements but it is a very capable graphics card and newer and more capable than others on that list.I have searched these forums and there are several mentions of the 1070 but nothing that seems to just rule them out completely. Is anyone out there using a GTX 1070 with Premier Pro CC?Is there an earlier version that would work with the 1070?I don't really want to have to buy a new graphics card when the 1070 is working very well with everything else I do.
I just updated Premiere to the '2022' Update, and now I get a black screen on the program monitor whenever I turn the 'CUDA' hardware acceleration on. I have an RTX 2080 Super driver, which has worked with Premiere perfectly since I got this computer over a year ago, up until now, but now it's not listed as a supported driver on Adobe's website. Has anyone else had this issue? Did Adobe remove support for the Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Super? Do I have any other options then 'must buy a new expensive video card'?
Would like to confirm, prior to installing free two week offer, whether or not my current computer, MacBook Pro, Mid 2015, Retina, will perform well with Premiere Pro install and workflo usage? (will be working on one-hour+, documentary ruff cut) Regarding storage, externally, I have 3.27 TB Thunderbolt drive and 476GB internally... Thank you!
In this current high price & limited stock Graphics Card situtation, Which GPU would be best? Previously I planned to buy RTX 3080 but for now, it is not worthy I think. I mostly use After Effcts & sometime Illustrator and Premiere pro. Which would be best option?Rtx 3060Rtx 2060Gtx 1660/ Gtx 1660 superIf everything was normal, I would go for RTX 3060 now but I'm confused that will be it worthy to buy it in high price($1000-$1200)? or 2060 or 1660? or anything else?
Hello everyone!I am looking for advice from someone who really knows their subject which would be:How well does Premiere Pro and After Effects work with (mobile) Intel, AMD, macOS, Windows etc.Cutting to the chase: I want to buy an Editing Laptop and don't know what to go for. Everyone is suggesting MacBooks but can't really explain why. I thought all I'd need is a fast CPU, lots of RAM and VRAM. I am currently looking at three different Laptops:- Razer 15 Advanced i9 11900H, RTX 3080 16GB, 32 RAM - Zephyrus Duo SE GX551QS Ryzen 9 5900HX, RTX 3080 16GB, 32GB RAM- MacBook Pro 16" i9 10th gen, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4GB (GDDR), 32GB RAM (There are more options from Asus and Lenovo with same specs as the Zephyrus)So I am wondering now which will be the best option and why. All processors have the same amount of cores and kinda similar speed, except the i9 overclocking speed is slightly higher. Also: What is Premiere most compatible with? I simply need fast playback
When opening Photoshop for the first time, I'm presented with the warning in the screen shot attached. How do I resolve this?
Hi everyone,I need a 2-in1 and I will need to work with Premiere Pro. The model would be this one: https://www.hp.com/es-es/shop/Product.aspx?id=52J49EA&opt=ABE&sel=NTB You think will be good enough? I usually edit videos at 1080 instead 4k. Thank you for your help!

Hello. Sorry I know nothing about forums so I hope I am posting correctly. I started using photoshop about two years ago and have since moved onto after effects and premier pro. My current computer seems worthless. It took me 2 hours to render 16 seconds of green screen footage. I am on a budget and looking for a new one. I know nothing about computer hardware and am just hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I spent close to an hour with best buy before they finally gave up and told me they couldn't help me. I have read all the specs and had sent them to them. I have emailed Dell but have not heard back from them. This is currently just a hobby but I really enjoy it and am considering taking it furthur. I don't do anything with 4k if that makes a difference. I would appreciate any help. Thank you. Gary
I have a windows 10 PC which i've had for some time but i'm thinking of getting a new laptop as my old one needs updating. This is for my personal use and to practise in building a portfolio for when i get a job in graphic design. Most of the job specs that i see use macs but can anyone tell me what is better for use with adobe packages?
My boss has given me a basically unlimited budget for our non-profit to purchase a fast-reliable hard drive or SSD system to use for our projects, also using heavy after effects. We have begun to produce 4k multi camera films, ranging from 400GB a project. Which, we'd like to find a hard drive / raid system to work off of and archive. We are thinking no less then 32TB of space, and only one computer will be using to access it. What are our options?
