Since installing a new RTX 2080 graphics card into my computer I'm experiencing multiple problems. Most common: PP program freezes, computer shuts down, program cannot find files that have been in use (link media fails, error), graphic card driver changes.I've had extensive conversations with Adobe & NVIDIA . Have done the following: updates all drivers (monitors, graphics card), updated BIOS and WIN10. HPZ440 Workstation: IntelXeon ES 1650 v3 @3.50GHZ Six coreRAM 32 GBSwapping out the graphics card solves all issues. A stress test has been run on the graphics card. No issues identified. Curious of anyone else with a 2080 is experiencing any problems.

I will be using photoshop/premier pro/ after effects regularly as well as a lot of other softwares. I need to buy a laptop that is fast enough and is calibre of running the software smoothly. I have no idea what's the best/ worst brands so need help. The cheaper the better probably no more than £500.

Hi All, Are any vGPU profiles supported for Premiere/After Effects, we have options for M60 or T4 vGPU's (eg. Grid T4-4Q - 4GB RAM vGPU) but this doesn't seem well documented and they aren't mentioned in recommended Graphics cards. Thanks in Advance
Hello Everyone!I recently noticed that in Premiere Pro 2021, there is an option to have Hardware accerated decoding with both Intel and Nvidia. Does anyone know if it is better to use both or just Nvidia. On top of that, should I go into the Nvidia control panel to ensure that I the program is only using my dedicated GPU?I notice that during export, both GPUs are working, so I would think that it is best, but a lot of the info I see online says to use Dedicated only (but it might be out dated info). I am running the following laptop:Windows 1011th gen i7-11800H @ 2.3GHzRTX 3070 8GB GPU64GB RAMWindows and drivers up to date.
Able to gather parts to build this desktop. While not the ultimate machine, I'd like to feel comfortable that it would be suitable for working with 4k in Premiere. My Premiere Pro 2019 wasn't quite compatible with my current laptop specs so I've decided upon buying a new laptop. I read the article by @John T Smith with the threads about what to buy or build for editing & running Premiere Pro. With my tight budget & understanding, I came up with these solutions which approximately cost 812-948 USD, my ideal budget. Are the specs of these 2 anywhere close to what I need to run my Premiere Pro atleast smoothly without jitters & pauses while playback/preview or do I need something more powerful? In which case I'm willing to increase my budget slightly a bit more. Some help & suggestion please.

Greetings to one & all,My Premiere Pro 2019 is having problem in playing the preview/playback once I start making changes to any clip & even rendering a few frames is taking too long to work with it.I had asked about this once before & got some positive feedback that it's happening mostly because of my RAM as my laptop has only 4GB RAM.Since my laptop doesn't seems to have any expandable RAM slots, is there any chance that an eGPU or external Graphics Card can help solving this or do I need to buy a new laptop with more better & powerful specs?
Hi there, I'm looking into a refurbished iMac Pro (mainly for video editing in Premiere, and a little bit of compositing work in after effects), and am choosing between a machine with the Radeon Pro Vega 64 graphics card vs a machine with the Radeon Pro Vega 64X. The only reason I hesitate on the 64X is because that gfx card is not on adobe's list of recommended cards for Premiere, but the 64 is. Im wondering if I should go with the 64 for that reason, even though the 64X is a better card. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Hello, I will appreciate your comments on the Nvidia Quadro K6000. Please do not mention alternate cards as options. Only comments about the Quadro K6000 Thank you.
I have recently made available three different 'guides' (from my perspective of course) and I thought it might be worthwhile to have it all in one place:1. A PC buying guide for NLE.2. Storage rules for an editing rig. Some basics.3. Guide for installing and tuning a Vista 64 PC.I hope you can profit from these postings.
I am facing some serious issue with my new machine to play back realtime 4k RED footage. I keep getting frames drop within couple of secs. I reported this to the customer care and they reverted with a stupid reply without even knowing my hardware details. The reply is as follows: " Hi Prashant, I hope you are doing well, As far as I can understand the concern you are having regarding the 4k files to have a real time playback in Premiere pro . there is no 100% surety that the Premiere pro can give you a real-time playback. In your case, you can use the proxy workflow which is design for such conditions Please check the link below and follow the same https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/proxy-workflow.html Regards Bhaskar Das DVA Support " The only reason I bought creative package was it was realtime. I hand picked this config so that it can play realtime 4k. PP 2015.3 was able to play. Why can't the new one? My hardware:
Hi, I want to buy a laptop and this is the configuration of the laptop: Core i3-10110URam 8 GO Is it going to be good and smooth? Thanks...
Hello all, I recently upgraded my PC by installing an MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Gaming Z TRIO 12GB OC GPU. I believed this installation would reduce my video encoding/exporting times on Adobe Premiere Pro and reduce my video rendering times and lag on Adobe After Effects. However, I have seen no difference at all. My Premiere Pro settings are set to use GPU accelerated rendering and playback. I'm wondering if anybody could give me advice on the best possible settings across Premiere Pro and After Effects to ensure my GPU is being maximised? Only registering 1% utilisation when I enter the encoding/exporting/rendering process. OR somebody may have an explanation as to why I may not be seeing any benefits. Thank you,George
Win 10 PC, 64 Gb/ Ryzen 7 3700x / Quadro RTX 4000 Playing 4k video (or hirez proxy - same) 24 fps is laggy, I see horisontal lines when moving, artifacts and so on. Playing same video in VLC or Windows Media Player is ok on the same pc. Using 2020, 2021 Premiere, latest drivers (updated) - same result. Playback IN Premiere is awful, outside - perfect. What can I check? Why can't I just work without adventures?... (
Good day! I need to edit fairly simple YouTube videos. Until today, the following configuration has been used:- CPU Intel 3570k- RAM 16 GB- graphic card GTX 560 1 GB- software Premiere Pro 2021At the moment, the software does not start and gives an error about the system incompatibility problem.I am planning to replace most of the hardware to improve my PC. Will the video card integrated into the processor be enough for my tasks? For example, if you take a 10th generation i5 processor? Or, under such conditions, the program will not start again?thanks for answers
Hey guys, Here is the premise: PC and Mac Systems accessing the footage from our Server. PC Path for ProjectX: 169.168.213\ProjectX\Media\Clip.mxfMac Path for ProjectX: Volumes\Servername\ProjectX\Media\Clip.mxf Everytime I open the project, I have to relink all the media, if the project has been openedwith the other workstation, because it cannot find the clips in the location due to different file paths. Can someone please advise? Is the only way to circumvent this using Team Project? If so, nevermind. No Dynamic Links between AE and PPRO and 1000 bugs make Team Projects incredibly useless.I wish It'd be possible to have your own files paths assigned to your own workstations... ThanksJannick
Hi- I have a mid 2012 Mac Pro running macOS 10.13 High Sierra. I want to keep High Sierra AND install macOS 10.7 Lion so that I can run Premiere Pro CS5.5. All internal drive bays are being used: Startup drive (512 gb SSD formatted as APFS) Applications1 TB HDD Media/Projects1 TB SSD VSTs1 TB SSD VSTs Questions:Can I install/run Lion and PP CS5.5 on an external hard drive effectively? I have a USB3 external HD, but will have to purchase a USB3 expansion card in order to use it since my Mac Pro has USB2.OR Do you have any suggestions of how to make this work? My initial thought was to partition the startup drive (currently formatted as APFS in order to support High Sierra) so that I can install Lion via a bootable USB and create a dual boot drive. I did this on my MacBook Pro with no issues; however, the startup drive in my MacBook Pro is a HDD and is formatted as Mac OS Journaled. The SSD in my Mac Pro has to be formatted as APFS in order to support High Sierra. I'm conc

Hi, I am a beginner for video editing and 3D, and do not want to invest a lot right now considering that the graphic card prices are really high(especially in India). I was getting a pc built for my workflow on illustrator, photoshop, after effects(will start learning), and adobe dimension. I managed to get a configuration well in my budget. Can you tell me what all problems I can face with this? Hi, I'm looking to be able to work on some basic Premiere Pro / After Effects / Photoshop skills at home. I've been perusing this forum and reading a ton of articles to learn about what will suit me best. I use Edius at work, but it's not really much more than arranging clips on a timeline and exporting them. My current home PC is about 8 year old:It's an Inspiron 620i3-21006 GB RAMAMD Radeon HD 6450I figure this PC is too far gone to even try to upgrade it, so I'm probably just going to swap it out. I used Premiere Pro on it a few years ago to convert VHS-C tapes to digital files, arrange them on timelines, and export them, but it seemed to be a long, tedius process. I want to be able to build my Premiere Skills, as well as learn After Effects, and incorporate some Photoshop. I'm not looking to do anything spectacular, but I've been looking into getting a new computer to make learning go faster, and easier. I keep com
I am getting a set of 30 MAC'S for my classroom what is the best configuration to buy. I want to have a computer for the students that can handle both Premiere Pro and After Effects. Thanks!
