I am trying for couple years to have an excel program that I have to be able to open a PDF file and go to a specific page.There is a way if the file is a web-based file to open it via the excel using the IE (internet explorer).But if the file is stored in local hard drive then IE cannot handle it.So is any way using excel VBA to open a PDF file and go to a specific page using.1-any other browsers.2-any way to open it using Adobe Reader.Any help on this will be much appreciatedKosta

Hello, I want to use Read Out Loud functionality. Anyhow, I can select only English voices (UK or US) in Edit/Preferences/Reading setup.I have instaled in windows several more voices for another langluage,s that are avelaible in other programs (for example MS Word) but not in Acrobat Reader DC. Can I solve this issue ? thanks for help. 

Hello, we´re using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC with Citrix VDA. Because of necessary Security-Options we have restricted the C:\ Path so the Users are unable to save on C:\. If the User try to save a File in Acrobat Reader DC opened up from Outlook the File wants to be saved in "C:\Users\User\Appdata\local\..." and a Error appears. Thats why I have to change the default Path of save location to our Network-Drive. But I cant find any way how to do. Is there a Reg-Key that can be set or something else? RegardsMichael

Hi,we have a legacy app that still uses IE 11 and Acrobat reader add-on to display PDF files.After upgrading to Acrobat Reader DC 20 in our Citrix environment we started getting users complaining that after working in the app and with PDF files opening properly suddenly we get a grey screen with a progress bar saying "Initializing" and that's where it gets stuck. Only closing the browser and reopening the browser which actually causes two new AcroRd32.exe process to open allows us to view PDF files until the issue reoccurs.Please advise, Adam 

Hi,I have a scheduled task that will print out a PDF. The task is failing to print because there's no users logged on. Is there any workaround to achieve this? I've heard that Direct Adobe Automation might be able to help me achieve what I need. Any advice on how to do that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

(This message has 4 attachments)I have the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Version 2020.013) updated.When I add a video in mp4 format I don't see the controls for play, pause, stop.When I go to the "Controls" tab, the "hide-controls" option is activated and gray and I cannot add any controls.When I insert videos I can only view them (when I click on them with the mouse) and stop them (via the context menu), which is very complicated because sometimes I need to pause.Hope I was clear.What am I doing wrong?Thanks for all the help:Health for all.

Hello, While I am writing inside the file it starts flickering, specially when I zoom in and write. I change the regedit with DirectInkRegforDC.reg as it was shown here at the official site, but no change at all. The only think that has changed is once I just touch the screen with the pen. its drawing a point like a small circle Is there another patch to fix this flickering thanks

I have been having trouble saving a pdf with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. I repeatedly get this error message : "The document could not be saved. A number is out of range". A Save as window appears afterward. A new file is not created when I enter a new name for the document, but changes are saved on my original file. Those changes are however not visible on other PDF reader application such as Preview. I am afraid that I'll eventually have trouble opening or saving changes to my document. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, One user from a customer working on an Windows Server 2012 R2 RDS Host is having a strange problem when filling text in pdf forms. The text seems invisible or white an can't be seen. When he marks the are he can see that the text is there but just not visble when not marked. Other users don't have this problem. I already uninstalled Adobe Reader with the help of the cleaning tool, but this didn't seem to help. Is there any option within the adobe reader to set the color used when filling out forms ?

We have been having some problems printing some of our leaflets/posters. They are PDFs and are opened and printed with Adobe Acrobat Reader. We have a non-standard/personalised font that we use in these documents that does not print correctly. It displays fine in the reader, but some letters are not printed.  Previously I had "printed" the document to PDF which worked correctly and flattened the original document that then prints correctly. It only seems to affect this font (every other font prints correctly) and seems to be in a variety of documents. Any suggestions?

Every one of our users can not use Adobe Reader today.pdf files seem to open for some, then crash within a couple of minutes. Others get an error right away. It seemed to start for everyone at the same time this morning, Jan. 30, 2019.  App version 11.0.23.22Fault Module Name Annots.api for some users.Others get error exception unknown software exception 0xc000409I tried repairing and then reinstalling, but we still have the same issue.Is there a bug in this version?

I just installed Adobe Reader today because a PDF I was trying to download was not readable in preview; the message reads: To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html  I have now installed Adobe Reader and am able to view and fill ou the PDF. However, the PDF contains form fields that indicates I cannot save it after I have completed it. Awesome. So, I try to print to PDF after I've completed the form. However, no such option exists--the only printers I see are physical printers. I also cannot "Save to PDF," because, as indicated above, the PDF fields will not save if I save as PDF. Please help me solve this problem. Thanks! 

Have a couple of issues that have some relation. The deeper a PDF exists in a network folder structure the longer it takes to openRecursive Folder trusting (whitelisting) of network folder location does not appear to whitelist any files in the folder Adobe Version 2020.013.20074OS Windows 2012 R2 The deeper Adobe PDFs exist in a network share, the longer they take to open.  PDFs at the top of the folder structure open normally, but the PDFs nested down, say 8-10 levels can take 10-30 seconds to open.  The file path does not exceed Windows OS character limit. Under Enhanced security, Protected View is turned off, "Enable Enhanced Security" is disabled.In Priviledged Locations if I add a file (path included for whitelist) the no matter how deep the PDF is nested in the folder structure it opens normally.  If I try to add a folder for whitelist (and remove the file whitelist) to the whitelist where that PDF is located, it takes 10-30 to open the PDF.&nbs

Hi, I need to empty my mac, I control click to move to trash my pdfs, and they open up in Acrobat, maybe I should write to FF, but Acrobat  doesn't seem to be in there, either. Thank you

I'm reading the PDF specifications and I'm not sure what the difference is between a PDF that has an xref with multiple subsections vs a PDF that has multiple xref sections. I see that both indicate that there has been incremental changes to the PDF but when would I create an entirely new xref section rather than create a new subsection to the existing one?

When I open a document, either from an email or from my own computer, a large percentage of time I see a pane on the left side of the screen for Page Thumbnails, Bookmarks, etc.  This pane takes up over half the screen and it's a very, very annoying thing to have to clear it every time I want to view the document.  Some files don't open like this.  I would say about 80% of the files now opens with this pane.  I've tried all the setting adjustments I've seen on YouTube and other chat sites.  None of them are working on a consistent basis.  The same thing keeps happening on about 80% of the documents I open.  Is there something I can do to correct this so those panes don't ever show unless I want them to?

I use a pretty popular CAD program to create drawings, I used to use Reader to open, view and print my drawings. Reader has been so completely busted over the last year or so that I'm using an old CD install of Acrobat X Standard just so I don't have to deal with all this Reader nonsense. Acrobat X is an old program and it gives me issues as well. I'd like to get back to using Reader, as a Reader and nothing me. I'm the only one who opens/views these drawings so all the unnecesary clicks and extremely disruptive. I would like to have the Bookmark/Thumbnails/Navigation sidebar disabled. I have "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" checked, but EVERY time I open a drawing, new or old, the Navigation sidebar is ALWAYS opened by default. There is literally zero information in the side panel. These are 1 page documents with no bookmarks, with no thumbnails, yet it's always open. Next up is the Tools sidebar. Again, nothing here has any value to me, I have"Remember

When emailing PDFs from Adobe Acrobat Reader 2020.013.20074 via  Microsoft Outlook 365 after the email is sent, Outlook is frozen. Cannot close it or do anything. Have to close it via Task Manager.  Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?  Bueller!

Hello, I new to acrobat reader. I started creating forms with fillable fields. The only issue I have now is that I don't like the font style of the fillable fields. I know that I can go to each field and go to the properties and change the font style and size. But the forms has over 600 fillable fields. Is there a way I can do it for all at once ? Thanks
